This should be clomid and IUI (for Katierocket) thread. Hoping this one will be luckier than the last - can't be any worse, don't think we had a single BFP did we?

Lots and lots and lots of luck to us all.

Just popping in to say good luck for tomorrow SKBF, I just took the plunge and introduced myself on the Nov ante natal thread - hope you come over soon!!!

Saw my fertility Dr today and told her the news. She is also a mat dr so gave me loads of advice. I am not going to go to the GP until after Easter now when I will be 9 weeks. I am booked for an early scan within the next 2 weeks (just waiting for date to come through) which she kindly put me forward for, so it will be better to go to the Dr with that...

Artoo · 28/03/2006 07:11

Congratulations Jen, so glad the Clomid worked for you first cycle :)

My AF arrived last week, so I'm now on to my second clomid cycle. I have my CD12 scan booked in for next Tuesday, so hoping to see at least one nice big fat follie then! :)

Hugs,
Artoo.

Thanks everybody for your kind wishes. I am still in shock but feeling happy. Am in my 7th week now, scan on Wednesday and first appt with ob in two weeks time. I feel so positive about this drug and am keeping my fingers crossed for you all. Lots of BD, epo, shoulderstands and you can't go wrong.

Naditude, if it makes you feel better, we BD'ed on the sunday evening, I ovulated on Tuesday evening and we BD'ed again on Wednesday morning but when I left the clinic on the Monday the doctor said "So tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday" with a little knowing smile as I thought "how is DP going to manage that??!!". Well he didn't so don't feel down about it.

Jodee I can't believe you have to wait sooooo very long for your results. Post as soon as.

Good luck everybody. I bet I am the eldest on here 41 and 6mths so if I can do it so can you all!

Loubie37 · 27/03/2006 19:26

naditude - we get this problem now and again, I don't think there's much you can do about it, it's just one of those things! There was once when my DH was determined to produce the goods and it ended up taking nearly 2 hours BlushWe laugh about it now, but at the time it was awful!!

SKBF - so pleased for you, hooray!!! Hopefully I'll be following you soon, only 1 month left on Clomid after this month...

Jen1209 Congratulations! Here's hoping you have a happy and healthy time ahead of you :)

Roobedoo Hello stranger! Glad everything is going well for you, time has flown by since you got your BFP!!

BeckiF - hang on in there...I'm on day 15 and haven't OVd yet and not had a +ve on an OPK yet either so it may even be day 17 before I OV. I take Clomid on days 2-6 too, so I don't think it always follows that you ov 5-10 days after the last dose. I'm pretty sure things are happening down there though as I'm really uncomfortable in my pelvic area (sorry tmi! Blush)

eldestgirl - good luck, hope you get your BFP soon

Jodee - good luck to you too for your blood test results. I'm having my 21 day blood levels tested this month and last and really hope that the levels are higher than before (only had them tested twice since being on Clomid, one month they were 20 (no ovulation) the next they were 42.

Sorry if I've missed anyone!

Loubie xx

Naditude, just seen your latest post. My dh had the same prob, it is just so difficult. I found not telling him that it was 'the time' helped. I'm sure he guessed, but I think if you're subtle you can even persuade them it's their idea to BD! Every other day helps too, but if you're having the follicle releasing injections like I did, you just have to get on with it somehow - sorry but you could try a magazine/film - depends how desperate things get! Good luck.

Blimey - this thread has finally got some luck. Well done ladies. I'm now 15 weeks and all going swimmingly, so just wishing everyone else tons and tons of luck.

SKBF & Jen1209 Big congrats! Wow and on your first month of clomid too. I'm on my first month too after three years of ttc. I doubt I'll be that lucky though.

Had a nightmare since getting a pos line on the ov strip. CM all there, line there but DP felt the pressure and could only produce the goods once out of four times! (TMI) Blush

We would have to be the luckiest ttc'ers in the world to get a BFP. So feeling a wee bit down. Never mind, there's always next month! We're going to have to try and not let it get so pressurised - which as you all know is easier said than done!

Has anyone else had this prob and what did you do about it. There is never normally a prob! Wink Again TMI!!

Well done everyone else anyway that seem to be doing things right and good luck to the ones awaiting test results! Smile

Jodee · 27/03/2006 16:33

Jen and SKFF that's really wonderful news, so pleased for you both! Smile

I rang today for the CD21 blood test results but they are not in, and can only phone on Mon/Weds/Fri, so it's the waiting game for me.

BeckiF · 27/03/2006 14:59

Hi all. Congrats to the two lucky ladies, inspiration to us all.

My temp chart showed that I may of ovulated on CD17 and then it changed it's mind (a fact that was confirmed by a CD21 blood test which showed I hadn't). Now the chart says I may of ov'd on CD 25. I took Clomind on CD2 to CD6. DOes anyone know how late an ovulation could occur? I read that it is supposed to be 5-10 days after the last tablet.

Also, had a huge drop on my temp chart yesterday but put it down to the clocks going forward, so my temp was about half hour early.

eldestgirl · 27/03/2006 14:49

Congratulations to Jen and SKBF!! Feeling a bit more positive myself now, even though I am pretty sure that this 2nd cycle of clomid hasn't worked for me. CD 25 and just feeling PMTish and the usual suspects. The same as for the last 9 months really.

But that's wonderful news and a great boost for the thread!!

bubbly1973 · 27/03/2006 09:26

wow, this wednesday? ooooo bet you cant wait!

well done again!

bubbly1973 · 27/03/2006 09:26

skbf, i blame it on your pg brain! Grin

yes i did see your post on saturday, im lurking around to see your progress, some would call it nosey! Blush

ShouldKnowByFriday · 27/03/2006 09:23

Having scan on Wednesday at 11.45. Pref it to be slightly later than today or tomorrow so that they can see as much as possible.

ShouldKnowByFriday · 27/03/2006 09:20

Sorry bubbly, you did see saturday's entry. I am trying to get through at the moment but they are engaged. I am not worried now though, my 2 other pregs were easy and straight forward. I did m/c at day 42 (which is today incidentally) 18mths ago but although I had a pos preg test I didn't have any preg symptoms but this preg is different so I am confident. Must get over the next 6weeks though.

Jen1209 · 27/03/2006 09:17

Thanks Bubbly & SKBF - it all feels very unreal! Had a lovely day yesterday though - full of "this time next year" thoughts!!!! :o

We've been trying for 18 months now with 1 m/c in Nov 05.

Cannot believe Clomid has worked 1st time round!

ShouldKnowByFriday · 27/03/2006 09:16

Bubbly, you have missed my saturday entry!!!!!! I had my results on saturday night (oh, the convenience and cost of private medicine!!) and my levels are now 1851 which they are happy with so next step is a scan this week. I am booked to see my ob in 2 weeks time which will make me 8 weeks preg. Thank you for thinking of me.

bubbly1973 · 27/03/2006 09:10

skbf, did you manage to ring up or is it too early to ring for appt for scan?

do your children know your having a baby?

bubbly1973 · 27/03/2006 09:09

jen, i been following up on your progress, and had a feeling you were pg!! Grin

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!!!!
Smile

how long had you been trying for? bet you cant believe clomid worked!!

ShouldKnowByFriday · 27/03/2006 09:09

Jen that is the best news! A big hug and congratulations! I bet you are walking on air!!! So thats two of us in the first month as we have had a good response to the Clomid and the dosage. Let's hope we have a few more BFP's in the next few weeks. Whoooopeeee!!!!!

Jen1209 · 27/03/2006 08:49

Ok, I feel it may be time to come out....

BFP :o :o :o :o

Due the day before you SKBF (20th Nov)! Another one for the 1st month of Clomid! Really really scared though as only had a m/c 4 months ago and it is still very fresh in my mind. Not going over to Ante-natal just yet as haven't even told my GP yet - still going to my fertility apt tomorrow as she will be able to book me in for an early scan.

Am very excited though - def not telling anyone in rl until 12 weeks after what happened last time though.

HURRAH!

ShouldKnowByFriday · 26/03/2006 19:44

Oh! Am due 21 Nov but have previously had a c-section 7 days before. Will do the same this time.

ShouldKnowByFriday · 26/03/2006 19:42

Thank you bubbly, relax and Jen. Spent mothers day feeling preg and smug. Just waiting for all of you to get preg now and will stay on thread until you all do. What day are you all up to? Of course that doesn't apply to bubbly!
