Congratulations Loubie!!! I was exactly like you - didn't believe the positive line.... so went out and bought a clearblue digital & got that magic word "pregnant" in the window. Still can't believe that the 3rd round of clomid (and 1.5 yrs of ttc) finally did the trick for me.... all those mood swings were worth it . Looking forward to seeing you on the Jan thread too! Iona x

Hi everyone, I did a test this morning and there's a very very faint line!!!!!!!!

Oh I wish I had a CB digital one in the house, now I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to do it again properly (I need to see the word 'pregnant' before I dare believe it!). Although the line is definitely there, (and it appeared well within the 10 minutes on the instructions)- I even woke DH up and asked him to have a look (poor guy is on nights and didn't get to bed till 5am, and he could see it half asleep )

So. I'm terrified now that it's a cruel joke but so excited that it might just be true....God, how am I going to get any work done today??

Please please please God let me be PG, this might be my last chance.

Oh and there's still no sign of any spotting, which I always get at least 2 days before AF arrives

I'm sure that they stick it in my hip before and I remember that being painful but I thought the backside'd be better with all that extra fat - flippin' painful though...I went all clammy and had to have a cup of tea!!!

Oh well....don't mind a jot if it does the job!

Hi Trace - I'm good thanks. Not been on MN as much over the past few days cos it's the 'middle of the month' and I've needed to be available for other things!!!

Had my hcg injection yesterday and my backside is still rather sore!!
I think you are a few days behind me aren't you? I'm CD16 today.
Are you still feeling tired?
I felt exhausted yesterday after the jab but it could have been just coincedence..I don't know.

Jodee yes thats true, you can get a + on sticks, but it dont mean your ovulating, also too when you have had a postive, then ive had 21 days blood test and they say ive not ovulated.
and i also know when some had had blood tests and told they have not ovulated that month , but become pg, so heres hoping for us all.

makes me wonder why we waste our money, and it makes us all uptight, i do temping as well and up to now thats worked for me, but when you get a rise its to late! but i like to now when af coming

thanks coggy... the Clearblue OPK says on its leaflet it's ok to use with Clomid. Was just concerned at reading Becki's and trace2's posts about getting a +ive and still not ov'ing.

Bummer - obviously didn't work but I guess you could copy and paste it into the address bar.
Thought it was a bit advanced for me!!

I didn't think that you could do reliable opk tests with clomid but I could have it wrong.
I also think that an 'average' woman (whatever that may be!!) doesn't ovulate for about 1 in 10 cycles..so, no, Jodee, not necessarily.

P.S. can I ask you (or if anyone else knows), I am on my 3rd cycle of clomid, had a blood test on the first cycle which confirmed I ov'd. Does it necessarily follow that I will always then ov on subsequent clomid cycles or could it somehow work one cycle but not the next? I've had +ve OPKs on the second two cycles?

Oh Becki that is terrible you must feel like sh*t.

Try and think positively as much as you possibly can.

There is always other options for you and you will get there in the end i am sure.

Well, just had hospital appt as follow up to two months Clomid. And despit all the positive OPK's and the temp dips pn FF etc. I DID NOT ovulate on either cycle. And no more Clomid. SO now it's just down to the IVF unit. To say I feel like osmeone has ripped my heart out and stamped all over it doesn't even begin to compare.

ShouldKnowByFriday, sorry you feeling so low, tell us about the acupuncture i.e how much, if it makes you feel better? hope it works for you.

Hello all, been having a break as am waiting for AF (day 37 and not preg) and just need to forget about this ttcing biz for a bit.

BeckIf, I am sorry Clomid wasn't the answer for you but at least IVF is now an option. Shall really keep fingers crossed for you.

Started acupuncture 3 Fridays ago and last Friday felt really upbeat about everything again. Just need to get back to my normal state of mind where I take everything in my stride and don't let things get me down. I am now there and ready for my next course of Clo. Just waiting for AF now.

AF came yesterday for me. Hospital tomorrow and then the IVF clinic in three weeks.

Been bonking all weekend, legs up and everything !! all i can do is sit back and pray

mm, yes sting is an understatement, i don't mind jabs, but this one bloody hurt..... apparently it is hormone suspended in SALT water !!!!

I didn't sem to have any side effects. I just found the injection quite painful - a bit like a tetanus, you can kind of feel it going into you.
I didn't have any side effects on the clomid last time either tho' and I think that I am a bit more short tempered this time (sense of humour lack once or twice in the past week!!)
I am having my jab on Tuesday so I will pay close attention to my eating!

I got persuaded into chips tonight - oops!!

are there any side effacts, cause i have been eating all day following the jab, very unusual for me !!! ( still healthy stuff though) still on the weight loss goal thing, whole tub of cottage cheese, instead of just a couple of spoons !! that sort of thing.....
