This should be clomid and IUI (for Katierocket) thread. Hoping this one will be luckier than the last - can't be any worse, don't think we had a single BFP did we?

Lots and lots and lots of luck to us all.

that was for Persian...... the post below , i mean......

Rachee · 07/06/2006 22:53

Hi, ( answer to the question) ....it took 16 months for my AF to return after depo ( was on that about 3 years) , i went to doc's one year after stopping depo to tell him no AF, he reffered me, which took 6 months to see consultant, he put me on clomid, 50 mgs, cause cycle was 18-19 days long !! ( was back on by this point).... doc only took bloods before reffuring me, and consultant did the same when i got to see him, plus DH checked ... had one day 14 scan last month, ( month 4 of clomid) now on 100mgs. just had lap and dye so waiting for AF and next dose of clomid ( 100mgs) .... don't you just love the mood swings !!! LOL

xXx Love to All

CD23, 4th cycle 100mgs....

Artoo · 07/06/2006 21:33

Well, looks like I'm here for a while. DH and I saw our consultant yesterday, and he is very pleased with the CD12 scans from my first three clomid cycles, which show I responded well. He wants me to take up to another 9 months worth of clomid before they start thinking about anything more "invasive" in the way of treatment.

Hugs,
Artoo.

trace2 · 07/06/2006 09:08

persian01 · 07/06/2006 09:06

trace2 · 06/06/2006 19:26

how many cycles have you done so far ? do you mean, af cycles, if so been a year now had every 22 to 28 day cycles, so about 13

persian01 · 06/06/2006 15:43

Oh dear thats not good news - how frustrating ..how many cycles have you done so far ?

trace2 · 06/06/2006 15:07

i took depo, it took 11 months for af to come, but still not ovulating, thats why they gave me clomid, up to now( dont know about this month yet,) no ovulation with clomid

persian01 · 06/06/2006 14:08

Hi All
Have a question for ex depo girls - as my AF has not returned since I stopped Depo how will they know my cycle ?
Also Rachee did you have any tests other than bloods prior to Clomid ? As I am not having any cycle obviously I am not ovulating but I am concerned about blocked tubes etc..in which case Clomid would not help.. its a nightmare !!!
Thanks for your help, We are waiting to speak to fertility nurse tomorrow at the clinic - I suppose to assess what treatment I need (DH has passed with 80 % ,lol so he is pleased )

Hi Rachee, thinking about this whole thing, I might have the follicular tracking next month without the clomid to see what my left ovary is doing as this last cycle and the one previous to miscarriage were both on right side and maybe one side can be more successful than the other? My SIl is over for 4 weeks from mid July and if I am taking clomid I will be fat, on edge and feeling weepy and not in a good state of mind and I need to be to have fun during the 4 weeks. So really feel that restarting in Sept/Oct would be a good idea. Will discuss it with Dr on my next visit. I ate very little yesterday and still managed to gain half a pound. It seems that after ovulation the weight and puffiness increases. When I had the month off and then took the next course, just before ovulation I went down to 8.11 now its crept up. Its so weird. If I was preg, I wouldn't care but I am not!!!

Rachee · 05/06/2006 09:37

SKBF, know how you feel with the weight gain, it deff inceases you appitite every month, and then the other drugs add to it !! i am now 3/4 stone heavier !! ( but i must get on top of this, before it get's any worse), i keep using the naughty things as comfort, although i know it doesn't replace a baby really..... it's punishment, if i eat i will become fat and unloved....

All mind games the tablets don't help with....

xXx
cd21 , post lap & dye, 4th cycle of clomid ( but not this month), back to 100mgs ext cycle !!

ShouldKnowByFriday · 04/06/2006 22:41

Hi rachee. Hope you are reassured that nothing to correct. Sounds good that your clinic are making the necessary investigations so as to be really thorough.

I am on day 24 of cycle, am feeling weepy and am sure that the cramps I feel are period pains. Am also half a stone heavier than normal and even if I eat very little, I still can't shift this fat. Am more depressed about that than anything as I am taking this demon drug which isn't working to the point where I am preg and I am heavier which makes me feel like s*. I think I am going to start a new thread about clomid and weight gain for other peoples' experiences.

Good luck to everyone this month!!

Rachee · 03/06/2006 22:59

just had lap and dye done yesterday. no blocked tubes but dye was hard to push down right tube !!! cyct on right ovary, so he drained it. belly button very bruised and sore, but i have to say i haven't got any of my normal period pain symptoms that i always have ( even when not on).... endome was nto found, no scarring, basically no reason for not concieving !! next appointment 2 months ( don't you love the NHS !!!! LOL)

Best wishes and thoughts to all

XxX
cd18, 4th cycle of clomid, ( none this month due to lap)

Rachee · 03/06/2006 22:56

i was on depo for three years, and then it took 1 year 3 months for my periods to return.

Loubie37 · 02/06/2006 17:33

I agree entirely, if I had known at the time how long it would be before my cycles were back to normal, I would never have had the depo jabs...definitely never again!! You'll get there soon though, my fertility specialist said that once your periods are back it's the sign that you're back to normal.

Good luck xx

persian01 · 02/06/2006 17:06

Thanks - and congratulations on your BFP :)
Its good to hear positive news and girls that have come through the other side
Depo is not good news .. I am shocked that my body is still not working properly after 7 months of the injection wearing off but at least there does seem to be help and support available as well as this web site which I have a feeling will become a life line lol .

Loubie37 · 02/06/2006 16:51

Hi there persian01, just wanted to say hello and to add that I was on depo injections prior to TTCing....I had my last one in Feb 04 and my periods came back in the November. I did get pg the following January but sadly had an early m/c, and then was on Clomid for 7 months prior to getting my recent BFP. So there's light at the end of the tunnel - hope you get good news real soon!

Loubie x
Baby due 17/1/07

persian01 · 02/06/2006 16:43

(smile)
Thank you !
I am so pleased we are lucky enough to have the option to go private - it seems that the waiting lists for fertility problems are worse than ever I am not sure if Clomid will be the way forward for us as I suppose I will need a scan to see if my tubes are clear ? Its a steep learning curve - my darling husband has been very good and didn't even mind taking his sample down to the clinic ..
Have a good weekend everyone x

trace2 · 02/06/2006 16:01

hi persian01, i myself have no idea but am sure i saw a thread about paying , i will have a look for you

persian01 · 02/06/2006 15:39

Hi
Have had a very informed afternoon reading through this thread ! You all seem so lovely and i am pleased to join you! I am trying to conceive after Depo injection, 7 months later no luck not even having a cycle as yet ! so have approached GP who has done primary fertility tests on me and DH. Now he has referred us to fertility clinic but long wait so we have decided to bite the bullet and go private - have asked GP to refer to a Nuffield hospital , just would like a rough idea of how much a cycle of clomid and scans etc will set us back ! Thanks girls Good luck to all TTC x

ShouldKnowByFriday · 30/05/2006 19:45

Loubie, hurray, hurray, hurray!

Loubie37 · 30/05/2006 13:43

Had my scan and everything is fine - we saw the heart beat which was just amazing!!

Good luck to all you other clomid chicks, hope you all get very good news soon xx

ShouldKnowByFriday · 29/05/2006 15:07

Good luck for tomorrow. I hope everything is ok. Smile

Loubie37 · 29/05/2006 10:50

Oops, sorry about that, it took so long I thought it hadn't posted Blush

Loubie37 · 29/05/2006 10:49

Hi SKBF, I was supposed to be having another scan a week on Wednesday, but I had another episode of red bleeding on Friday so it's now tomorrow....I feel a bit of a fraud though now because it was so shortlived - by the time I got home from work it had stopped already!

Oh well, c'est la vie :)
