So the last thread disappeared so here's the deal: I realised it's really annoying to drive yourself mad wondering if you're pg during the 2ww. Newbies welcome!

Glad to hear you've made up!
Hmm I'm.a bit worried about myself...fun isn't open today so I'm contemplating going for a run...

Glad to hear it! I flounced off to stay at sister's house last night and then promptly made up with DP! Ah well. Ita nice to see sister, and I will head home at lunchtime for a nice penitent and forgiving cuddle.

Bexamundo · 28/05/2011 22:24

Ah, that's better! Had bath, put new shower curtain up (old one was falling down at edges after I put it through washing machine!), washed hair. Much fresher happier me now!

Are,you having to watch the champions league final too?! One grumpy Dh atm!
Yeah sometimes it just hits you in waves I think. How annoying about your appt! Prolonging the stress is just rude and as you say could be foreseen!
Even though they are here and watching footie think I'm going to have a bath. See ya later!

I'd love to be less shallow, but yes basically it's sometimes all about the sperm.

Sorry you're feeling crappy. I know the feeling of grumpy misery at the sheer unfairness of it all. I know there are people who've been doing this a lot longer than 18months, but on the other hand there are fuckloads of people who seem to have conceived in the first cycle after brushing past their DP in the corridor and it just isn't fair!!

I just had a letter rearranging my appointment because the consultant has taken half term off! Why could that have not been factored in inte first place?! It's only delayed by a week, so it could have been worse. And now I have 7 more days to lose weight in advance of any scales nightmare, which can't be bad. Though I have spent today eating crap in celebration of that fact...

Bexamundo · 28/05/2011 20:30

Yeah it's tough to stay mad when you need hid sperm isn't it?!
I'm feeling low about it all today. Quietly dreading the prospect of a pelvic ultrasound and the barrage of questions and tests. I just really, really want a baby!! [Swigs cider and tries to shrug off self-pity].

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 28/05/2011 19:16

Quite fortunate, as DP and I celebrated the beginning of the long weekend with a storming row! Nice to know I can keep up the implacable iciness as long as I fancy, without having to worry about whether I need to instigate making up so we can have sex :)

Bexamundo · 28/05/2011 19:11

Reckon you've ovulated by now! With a cycle that long doubt you have a short luteal phase! I'd relax and sit on my hands now if I were you!

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 28/05/2011 18:27

CD35. But last cycle was 45days, so who knows!

Bexamundo · 28/05/2011 14:19

Argh just come to Asda living, seen a teeny I luv piglet baby grow and almost burst into tears!

OP posts:
Bexamundo · 28/05/2011 13:22

What's your cd day pg? Could be v early sign, stay positive for ironic bfp! Could just be one of those things.
Am our shopping with Dh and nan in law, trip to.Asda living on the cards!

PatientGriselda · 28/05/2011 06:28

Woke at 4am, feeling incredibly sick. Bearing in mind I may by even have ovulated yet, it would be very silly and annoying to spend any time wondering if this cycle is actually a very short cycle and i'm past implantation and enjoying morning sickness, wouldn't it? :o Tell me to be sensible, for God's sake.

Have a lovely time with your nan, Bex, and good luck with moving stuff, dizzy.

Bexamundo · 27/05/2011 20:35

Ah...and relax. Spent last two hours spring cleaning for nan's arrival! Finally cleared the junk from the living room (albeit into the study!) It looks massive!
Happily relaxing with a pimms Grin.
Your move is rolling round quickly dizzy!
Sounds like we've all got pretty civilised weekends ahead! Enjoy.

DizzyKipper · 27/05/2011 14:07

I'll be sorting out moving bits on Saturday - only 4weeks to go. Then we're seeing OH's family on Sunday. Your DH's nan sounds lovely bex.

Bexamundo · 27/05/2011 13:10

Ah Dh's nan is coming to stay! She's ace, very sprightly for 76! Will show her round Lincoln, having a bbq on.Sunday, should be nice. Just potter at home mostly.
Already given up on much swi this cycle, maybe tonight before DNan comes over tomorrow but Dh has his clinic appt 1st June so has to perform(!) 3 days before and then not until he does his sample the morning of the appt (which of course is my ovulation day!).

PatientGriselda · 27/05/2011 08:48

Off to visit friends for a couple of days, and then just relaxing/shagging at home. Am on CD33, surely I can stop soon!

What about you?

Bexamundo · 27/05/2011 07:49

Yes not quite as bad as the relaxing crowd but still! I think as well because out service is a bit up in the air about the future (well it is the NHS) and she wants me to takes things forward while she potentially for a off to do her Msc it is not convenient for me to have a baby. According to her timetable I can have one in 2 years time!!
Headache eased, I decided yesterday I was dehydrated but drank 2 litres water and still had bad head! Just one of those things, is ok now after 8 hours kip!
8 hours to work then it's bank holiday Smile. Have people got fun plans?

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 26/05/2011 21:44

God, I love the "timing" people. Do they really think that after a year and a half of this that you have never heard that advice before, and had no idea about ovulation etc? Almost as bad as the "relax" crowd. Mutter mutter.

Are you drinking enough water, Bex? That's usually been my error, when I feel rubbish.

Bexamundo · 26/05/2011 21:27

I feel a bit rubbish! Woke with a bad head, can't seem to shake it!
Finally told my colleague of 7 months (the one who's told me to 'keep my legs crossed' for the whole time') about our difficulties ttc and she was so blaze it really wound me up. Just some bs about timing etc. Clearly she has no idea how I feel (she has DD that she didn't have to work too hard for. She also doesn't get what a pelvic ultrasound entails!!!!!
PatientGriselda I'd push to get your dp's man juice checked out asap, waiting list here was 3 months! Worth getting him checked before your gynae appt.

OP posts:
PatientGriselda · 26/05/2011 19:07

My doctor did all the blood and scan tests on me, but no one has yet suggested that DP's sperm is looked at! I assume that that will be one new appointment that will come out of it.

PatientGriselda · 26/05/2011 19:05

I'm hoping for an ironic one too! My cycle is so bloody unpredictable that I never know when AF is "due", so am basically trying to leave it till the morning of the appointment before I POAS. That will be CD45!

NinjaChipmunk · 26/05/2011 09:27

Hi Griselda, we've been trying for 13 months now, and ds who is 3.7 was concieved first month of trying. We've had day 3 and 21 blood tests and sperm tests done and everything is good so who knows why it is taking so long this time? Have also realised my appt is in July not june oops! I have no idea what to expect at the appointment and like you I'm guessing the first one will be an anti climax and won't really resolve anything. Maybe I'll get an ironic bfp just before I go?

PatientGriselda · 26/05/2011 07:14

Dizzy, congratulations! That's fantastic news! Well done to you and OH.

I didn't say welcome to ninjachipmunk before - hi ninja! How long have you been trying? I guess it's a while, if you've got a referral appt coming up. I wish I knew what to expect for mine. I have a horrid feeling it'll just be discussion, and feel a bit of an anti climax.

DizzyKipper · 26/05/2011 06:49

Actually OH was away for the first fertile days of this cycle and we didn't do the deed before he left, was the first thing we did when he got back on the predicted ovulation day Wink Maybe that actually helped?
OH is thrilled, although thinks I'm getting a bit carried away and wants me to slow down a bit. It was our 2nd month but I have been waiting over 3 years to get to try, so can't help being a bit excited.

Glad things are going better for you bex, just making the effort can help make you feel that much better. It particularly helps when it's not just you making the effort I find, it gets really hard when you're the one having to stay motivated and push on for the both of you all the time doesn't it?

And good luck on your 2ww Ninja, hopefully lots of symptoms are about to follow Smile

Bexamundo · 25/05/2011 17:51

Yes! This thread is only 2 cycles old in total we've already had a bfp! Let's hope it's contagious. Now dizzy did you do anything different this month?!
I am feeling very positive today, been to the gym and came home to find Dh cooking a healthy tea! Him being motivated to be healthy is really helping me. I think this time we realise there's a real need to lose the weight so there's no point cheating!
