So the last thread disappeared so here's the deal: I realised it's really annoying to drive yourself mad wondering if you're pg during the 2ww. Newbies welcome!

Dizzy, I'm SO sorry to hear about the mc. Glad to have you back here trying again though.

Commiseration to bikes and ninj for AF, too.

CD 45 for me, which is where AF showed up for me last time. No pre menstrual symptoms yet. A few more days and I could consider myself late. Though as we scarcely shagged at all this cycle, it is very unlikely to come to anything.

Ninja, you were asking about dye in the laparoscopy. I don't think they are going to do the dye thing this time. The consultant said she wanted to try ovarian drilling first (eek). But she also said they might zap anything else they found whilst in there, so who knows, they might decide to stick some dye through as well.

NinjaChipmunk · 08/06/2011 12:01

she's lovely really, just somewhat full on!

DizzyKipper · 08/06/2011 11:50

Think I might join you both for that drink later Wink And good luck with MIL on Sunday Ninja. Do you not get on very well?

NinjaChipmunk · 08/06/2011 11:46

I shall need it when MIL comes visiting on sunday!

bikesaregreat · 08/06/2011 11:32

Cheers ninja - will rasie a glass to you tonight! Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 08/06/2011 11:29

sorry to hear af got you too bikes have a big fat highly alcoholic drink on me Grin

bikesaregreat · 08/06/2011 11:17

dizzy I'm so sorry to hear that - how horrible. Just grim. Hope you're doing okay.

AF arrived this morning, damnit! Didn't manage to be strong - used a pee stick this morning just before also realised that the witch had actually arrived during the night - grrr.

We've been trying for nearly 2 years, but there are a few months I'm not counting, so really closer to 18 cycles. (I've been away with work a few times when ov, dh has been away some as well, and his BLOODY FOLKS showed up unannounced during the fertile time at one point - honestly - they keep going on about grandchildren and tick tock and stuff, but how do they expect to ever get any if they turn up and kill the mood? Hmm

DizzyKipper · 08/06/2011 11:01

Yep we move in 3 weeks. It's only to a 40min drive away, but it's progress Wink

NinjaChipmunk · 08/06/2011 09:33

these things happen dizzy. You sound like you are looking forward to the move, is it soon? I got pg with ds within a week of moving house! That meant the year we lived in Islington with all its bars and nightlife was one where I got to watch dp get drunk! We are naow safelt back in suburbia where my social life consists of decaffinated tea and biscuits at friends houses on my afternoons off!
faithbaby hope you feel a bit more chipper, its horrible when you feel all down and emotional. But you kow what? Maybe that namechange was for a reason...

DizzyKipper · 08/06/2011 08:05

That's a bugger Ninja, sorry the evil witch managed to track you down.

DizzyKipper · 08/06/2011 08:04

When I was pregnant exhaustion was my first symptom, so feeling shattered must only be a good thing Wink Spotting also sounds about the right time for implantation bleeding, fx

NinjaChipmunk · 08/06/2011 07:59

Well af got me first thing this morning. Bugger. Dizzy, I think some months I just get more upset than others, not sure why? I think also some months you just know you're not and its not such a build up or dashing of your hopes and feelings. Was feeling very angry about it earlier but have one more go before my hospital appt in July so have made my peace with it now.
How is everyone else today?

havealittlefaithbaby · 08/06/2011 07:55

Bless you dizzy I know what you mean.
I feel shattered today (like I'm been run over and squashed flat!) and quite emotional again. Strongly suspect pms but despite that am still symptom spotting/obsessive analysing chart. Had a teeny bit of spotting yesterday (9dpo) and a temp rise this morning. Based on DH's test results me being upduffed this cycle would be a modern miracle but hey, that's why I changed ny name, right?!

DizzyKipper · 07/06/2011 23:04

[wondering if I can palm baton off on some one else? or maybe just finish the race so nobody else has to hold onto it] Yes times have been quite tough for the last few months, it's without doubt been the worst year of my life so far. But like you say faithbaby, it's important to focus on the positives and try not to let all the negatives drag you down. Moving will be really good, it should feel like a fresh start - getting further away from our families to focus on being a couple and a family more. That's what I really want, to start my life and family with OH.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you Ninja that AH doesn't make her entrance for you this month. Why do you say you'll be more gutted this month than others though, out of nosiness?

NinjaChipmunk · 07/06/2011 21:31

dizzy I'm very sorry for your loss. You sound like times have been very tough recently, I hope things look up soon.

Hi bikesaregreat has af arrived or are you still in limbo?

faithbaby glad you sound a bit happier today, and glad your leg is not so bad.

Still got on/off back ache, af not arrived yet although could well be here at any moment. I think this is a month where I will be feeling more gutted than usual when af arrives. Fingers crossed she doesn't.

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/06/2011 18:43

That sounds really tough [hands baton for toughest time over to dizzy]. You're not alone with the loopy mil. Definitely sounds like she needs help but like you say she has to accept she needs it.
I guess you just have to focus on the positive changes that are happening to you and DP like the move and ?car. Our holiday in March helped us massively when ttc was getting us down.

DizzyKipper · 07/06/2011 13:22

Thanks faithbaby, life just doesn't seem to want to stop throwing up obstacles for me and OH right now. OH's mum also decided to get drunk and OD the night she found out about the MC (she has past form for this kind of stuff). She is fine now, but it was quite serious during the night and she almost died - still won't get counselling though, though it's quite obvious she needs it! Am very frustrated.

But with some good news, me and OH should be getting a car soon - hopefully this weekend. We've also decided we definitely need a holiday at some point, really need to get away from everything for a while. So we'll have that to look forward to some point this year hopefully.

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/06/2011 13:05

dizzy I am so sorry to hear that :(. Big hugs to you.

DizzyKipper · 07/06/2011 12:52

Unfortunately I had a MC on Wednesday, so I'm currently making friends on the MC threads - not really where I thought I'd be 2 weeks on Sad Am now waiting for body to sort itself out and stop bleeding, then I can start thinking about trying again.

I also realised that from the time you decide and start trying for a baby you probably don't stop worrying about them from then on. Worrying about cycles and being able to conceive, once you do conceive worrying about the pregnancy being ok, and when the pregnancy is ok and you do give birth, worrying about that big wide world that you're bringing them into. Or at least I guess that's me and how I'll handle things Confused

Hi bikesaregreat, you managed to stand strong and not use a pee stick? Wink

bikesaregreat · 07/06/2011 12:39

Thanks for the welcome! Coming up for 2 years TTC (urgh - can't quite believe that...)

I work at home, and my office is just down the hall from the bathroom...where there are pee-sticks just waiting to be used... Must.Not.Waste.Pee-stick. AF will just come today if I do...

havealittlefaithbaby · 07/06/2011 12:30

Feeling a lot better today, thanks for you support. Leg is walkable on, coping at work. My sister is a physio she's gonna look at it tonight.
Just counting down the days til af arrives and til my appt. Don't feel the slightest preggers..[puts on brave face].
Welcome to bikesaregreat, how long have you been ttc?
dizzy how are you feeling? Made friends on the antenatal threads?

bikesaregreat · 07/06/2011 09:59

Hi there folks,

I've been lurking! Glad to know it's not just me having a bit of a mental about symptom-spotting and such...AF due for me too today. She's definitley on her way, so no point buying (yet another) test - boooo.

patientgriselda - my dp too has been asked to jizz in a pot (oh, the indignity!). Funnily enough, when I think of that, all I can hear is this song in my head...

Altogether now - it's some jizz in a jar!

NinjaChipmunk · 07/06/2011 09:09

How are we all doing this morning? AF not here yet.....due today/ tomorrow. Have steely resolve not to buy any tests until Thursday at least.

DizzyKipper · 07/06/2011 06:52

Really sorry to hear that news faithbaby, also very sorry for you DH, he must feel awful right now Sad

PatientGriselda · 07/06/2011 00:22

Oh darling, it sounds completely rotten, and you must be feeling awful. Give yourself a big hug and cheer up. Ninja is right - there are lots of new things to focus on, ad it's definitely a test worth repeating.
