ooooh Dach you have my sympathies, mossie bites are awful even when they dont swell up and scare you silly.

No news from me, not feeling up for ring round of doctors just yet, so I am burrying my head in the sand for a bit. (but the thanks for the towel, bucket and sponge freezing I will be using it soon!Grin)

Me and DS went to a party in the park that organised by neighbours for the local orphanage kids. Lots of happy smiling cake covered faces Smile

mouse I will be cheering loudest when you get on that list. You have indeed been made to wait far to long. Hugs.

Tomboy good move getting your teeth sorted. My pregnancy/hyperemisis/long mc left mine ravaged and I only just got round to sorting them now and I wish I had given them some more attention sooner - they are in a right state!

TomboyWife · 07/07/2011 21:59

Dachs Shock That sounds absolutely terrible! Hoping you feel better soon and the A&E option doesn't become necessary.

mousebacon · 07/07/2011 21:32

Oh no dachs! That sounds awful. I wish you a very speedy recovery xx

In theory it should be cd1 today but have only had the teeniest bit of spotting so hopefully AF will be here tomorrow and I can finally move up that list! From finding out we'd lost the 2nd baby in Jan to now being the middle of July I think I've waited long enough!

Waves to all xx

DeterminedToGetDiffedDachs · 07/07/2011 20:35

yay for good scan news :)

mummya that's awful! :( I hope you manage to find a sane doctor

In my news I have to say life is once again proving that it hates me. There is a nice new favourite foodstuff in Venice. It's called Dachs. Who it turns out is very very very allergic to Venetian mosquitoes and now has massive swollen welts all over her legs and has had to cancel the few days she was going to spend in London and come home instead to try to go to the doctor tomorrow, if it doesn't get worse overnight which might make DH take her to A&E instead. And yes, it is that bad.

Freezingmyarseoff · 06/07/2011 23:13

flipping hell mummyA that's rather severe. Like you need another fight too? Well we're here to back you up, got the towel, bucket & sponge all ready for the next round. Smile

Izzy can't believe you've got your 20 week scan coming up. That was so fast. If it's next week though I think I'm allowed to get haddock out, just saying Smile

Tomboy. Fingers xd for sod's law

Tina sorry you're having Sad day. Squeeze for you. Hope all goes well with the temping.

Digi glad all ok with DH

Thanks for the lovely scan messages. We've started to tell a few people now which is more weird than I thought it would be Confused. Also told DD, she was rather excited (bless her) but I don't think she really get it yet.

Waves to everyone as ever

MissTinaTeaspoon · 06/07/2011 22:31

Sorry meant to answer you ytmotb! My basal thermometer arrived today. I keep forgetting first thing though!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 06/07/2011 22:30

Oh mummya, I'm Sad for you that you have another battle on your hands. Good luck x

Fingers crossed for sods law Tom, im hoping it'll kick in for me and my day 21 bloods will be pointless! It worked last time...I was a few days pregnant when I had a scan before Christmas to check for pcos but didn't find out till nearly 2 weeks later.

Waves to izzy and velvet

I'm a bit Sad, im working with my pg collegue with what should have been my dd and she's sporting a huge bump. I want mine back Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/07/2011 22:22

mummya Shock Sad extreme isn't the word! It's one thing to say it might become necessary in case of absolute emergency but quite another to decide that it's going to happen as a matter of course! Hope you can get a sensible second opinion asap x

yrmotb I have 20 wk scan next weds - eek! Am dreading it, not least because it's the anniversary of my erpc, but I am not going to get superstitious about it

TomboyWife · 06/07/2011 21:09

MummyA Sad How awful for you. I hope you can find a less extreme doctor to offer some alternate advice.

freezing great news about the scan!

Well, I had a fun time at the dentist's this morning. Just one filling, but I would've preferred zero. I considered POASing last night to make sure I'm still un-updiffed as the dentist didn't want to do the filling in the first trimester when I was updiffed. Decided in the end not to bother as I really don't feel pg. (Now watch Sod's Law kick in...)

Velvetcu · 06/07/2011 19:11

oh mummya so sorry you have another battle on your hands :( i really hope you manage to get something sorted

fab scan news freezing

big waves to everyone

MummyAbroad · 06/07/2011 18:20

Hi, Yes it is very extreme! I am sadly very well read in the subject and have also had opinions from two of the best AS doctors in the world and been following the stories of over 2000 ladies with AS who are part of an international support group. None of whom believe that hysterectomy is a neccessity after Ashermans (though there is a chance it becomes necessary) Basically I am at increased risk of developing placenta acretta (placenta attaches too deeply to uterine wall, doesnt come away after birth without causing massive bleeding) So I do need to find someone who is aware of this possibility, has bags of my blood type standing by and a plan of action in case of hemmorage. However this guy seems a bit too keen... and of course lining me up for a hystorectomy would make his job a lot easier and safer (and more profitable!)

I am taking today off, and then phoning round some new doctors tomorrow. I just feel so sick of having to fight to get the right treatment, and really sick of knowing more than the doctors Hmm and feeling very worried about whether having the baby here in Costa Rica is the right thing. Sad I wish it could just all be easy for once!!!

Smile
Youremindmeofthebean · 06/07/2011 16:19

ma dear lord, that seems a bit extreme doesn't it? Can you get email information from doctors here at all ?

freezing I am very very chuffed for you, how lovely.

digiglad to hear that with dh it's nothing very sinister.

Tina they can be so challenging can't they? Hope you're ok. How's the charting going?

izz not til the 26th July. Seems ages away! It's limbo time of not feeling baby move and feeling delightfully well, which is A worry in itself! Do you have your scan too soon?

Waves to all.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 06/07/2011 15:18

mummya why on earth would he/she want to do that?! You definitely need to get a second opinion, how extreme! Is it purely because of your Ashermans? Can you get hold of anyone over here for their opinion? Sad

MummyAbroad · 06/07/2011 13:41

Hi Ladies,

I am feeling a bit glum today. The doctor yesterday told me I would need to have a CS plus hysterectomy at the birth!! I know I can get another opinion and its not set in stone, but its really got me down that it looks like I will have another battle on my hands, just when I thought all that was done with and I could enjoy being pregnant and look forward to having a baby with all the positive aspects that brings. Looks like I will have to spend a small fortune trying out various doctors this month, but I suspect they may all say the same thing, its much safer arse covering exercise for them plus they will earn much more money. Sigh.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 06/07/2011 13:36

How was the new obgyn mummya?

Enjoy the hols stitch Grin

Good news on your dh digi Smile

Glad you enjoyed take that izzy. Joseph was fab but I forgot to take my ticket! I only realised in the car park, I had to get dh to get dd out of the bath to make a mad dash into town with it, I didn't drive so couldn't go back myself and probably wouldn't have made it back in time anyway! Blush

Having a bit of a rubbish day with dd, she was evil over lunch, I didn't know what to do with her! Ended up putting her in bed and phoning dh, she spoke to him on the phone and calmed down and is now very sorry but I hate being in that situation where I just don't know how to stop the tantrum! Luckily she doesn't do it very often.

stitchinline · 06/07/2011 11:26

freezing excellent news on the scan :o

mummya good on you for making decisions and hope the doc work out for you, sounds like everyone else has had good experiences with ELCS and it will be the right choice for you. Can?t really give my opinion on this as will be #1 for me :)

tina it sounds like the doc is doing as much as they can which is good ? just sorry it can?t be more, fx the tests will give some answers for you. Hope the painkillers are doing their job for you

ladybee moving to a new country is hard work and no matter how much support you have around IME it just takes time to adjust and find your place. Good that ds is enjoying nursery. What a shame about the double winter - I did the double summer when I moved which did help the transition a little.

mouse have fun being back on the wagon Wink

battery great idea on the moving house

Still quietly going mental here but trying the mantra of ?today I am pregnant? every morning which strangely does seem to help a bit. Having other things to look forward to and plan in the meantime is also helping to focus my attention elsewhere (for a minute or two). Think I have decided to get a scan week after next when we get back from holidays but going to do it privately so I can have DH come with me. Although our EPU gives them out like candy it is only in the morning and can be quite hard for dh to get the time off work. If it is all OK then I will then start the booking in stuff

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/07/2011 07:02

Yay!! for freezing and fab scan news - such a relief, isn't it? Grin Grin

digi phew! Pleased to hear it's good news for dh's man bits! Smile

mummya sounds like you've got the birth all worked out; don't blame you for going for elcs. Hope the appt goes well and you like the consultant.

Tina sorry you're feeling low and the dr can't do more; it is good that you've got a sympathetic one though and hopefully the basic tests you're getting will provide some reassurance.

ladybee hope you're feeling a bit better? Pleased ds enjoyed nursery, hope it's still going well.

yrmotb when do you have your 16 wk appt? That must be coming up soon...

Take That were amazing on Monday, had a fab (if tiring!) time. We were so high up though, it did make me feel a bit funny when we first climbed up and sat down! It was amazing though - so glad I got tickets this time!

digitalgirl · 05/07/2011 17:59

Excellent news freezing!

Dh had a scan on his man parts today as he's had a bit of an ache. Turns out it's a varicose vein - not kidney cancer (apparently ball ache is a symptom of). So phew!

Waves to everyone.

Loup23 · 05/07/2011 15:20

Yay freezing for the wriggly bean, great news!

Sorry to hear you're having a bad day tina hope you enjoy Joseph and hope the tests give you some reassurance, i'm still waiting to hear from the consultant re mine - wonder what the point of going provate is when it takes so long....

Hi to mummyA glad to hear little Max is doing well - when are you due again?

Waves to all others x

MummyAbroad · 05/07/2011 13:57

I came on to wish Freezing luck, but I see its all done!! Well done, so pleased for you that all is alright. Grin Grin Grin

LadyB sorry you have the lurgy. Long haul flying does tend to expose you to the worse kind of bugs. Are you planning on giving your new medical services a test run and getting your throat checked out or just dose up on vitamins and take it easy? xx

Tina I am glad your GP helped in some way, all of that will hopefully help rule out any obvious stuff, if you do go to a fertility clinic later at least you wont have to pay extra for those tests. I would recommend getting copies of every report (ask the receptionist how) and making a folder with all your info so that you can show it off later to the clinic or other doctors if need be.

thanks for all the C-section stories, this is really helping! I have booked an appointment with a new gyne/obstetrician today I have another one lined up for next month too, in case I dont like this one. Will pop back later and let you know how I got on.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 05/07/2011 13:30

Hope your throat gets better ladybee

MissTinaTeaspoon · 05/07/2011 13:29

Great scan news freezing Grin And thanks for the hand holding! I'm off to see Joseph at the theatre later so hoping the day will get better (it's stopped raining so that's a start Smile)

Freezingmyarseoff · 05/07/2011 12:49

Hello again

All good on the scan Grin, twas a bit emotional to see a heartbeat and a little one who wouldn't keep still. No wonder I've been so tired Smile

Tina sorry that it's not been such a good day, but as Ladybee says, it is a start and very good that your GP is taking as much action as she can at this stage, it makes all the difference to have a sympathetic GP who actually cares. And of course, we're here for you too. And LadyBee and MummyA are particularly brilliant at providing lots of useful, reassuring, and sound advice (not meant to discount anyone else's valuable advice too) I can provide a hand to hold and some tasty offerings

Izzy how was Take That? I've heard it's a brilliant show.
You've probably got a sore throat from all the sports day/karaoke style shouting all day and night!

LadyBee taking of sore throats, hope you get better soon. Very glad to hear DS enjoyed his first day of daycare, you must be relieved it's started well. Boo hoo to AF starting.

YRMOTB Your weekend sounds lovely. Where do you get the energy from? Hope I've got this right, but do you go the gym? I keep getting confused about who does what these days. Do you think it makes a big difference? I keep wanting to start some regular, gentle exercise for lots of reasons but I keep finding excuses not to mostly because really I'm rather lazy

Mouse good luck with TTC, have fun Wink

Same to you too Tomboy, totally agree with you, don't tell the drs unless you need to.

BBB waves to you, how is it all going?

And waves to Battery, Digi, Collie, Blackkat, AandR, Loup, falcon, Jolls, MummyA, Dachs, Knitter, Stitch, Wiggle, Velcut and any other lurkers

Ladybee · 05/07/2011 11:09

Well, it's a start MissTina and hopefully it will give you some reassurance that all is well on the conceiving front or if it shows up anything then you can work out some next steps to deal with it.
Try not to worry about the 'subfertility' label - she has to write something, it's just filling a box, not a prediction/diagnosis.

mummyA I had a c-section with DS and my recovery was equally straightforward. I did find my stomach muscles were weaker for a while which made my back a bit vulnerable, so I definitely recommend a cot-top changer or something similar so you're not needing to get up and down off the floor too much - quite tricky with injured abdominal wall!

DS had his first session at his new daycare today - it's practically ALL boys - only one girl there today! very odd. But he enjoyed himself and is fine about going back tomorrow, which is a good sign. My cold is turning into a terrible sore throat - I think I'm going to have to get to the doctor if it doesn't clear as it's waking me at night it's so sore.

Sorry it's a short one - freezing I hope it all goes well.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 05/07/2011 10:29

Good luck freezing x

I'm back from the gp. She was lovely, said the pre af gunk is normal and she's given me a form for day 21 bloods (that I can't do till day 22 as it's a Sunday Confused) and they'll also check my Hb and thyroid function. She gave me a pot for dh to get busy with too Grin. She said that that's all we can get on the NHS though because we've already got dd and that because I've had a pregnancy this year we haven't actually been trying for over a year Angry. I was a bit Sad to see clinical information as 'sub fertility' on the form. And I'm dosed up on prescription painkillers for period pain Sad. Not a great day really! Hope you are all doing better than me today.
