Hi hotcross & whatsoever sorry you are both here but a very warm welcome

I have no experience of those type of tests but I think they look for genetic or chromasome problems - don't quote me on that though. Medics have a lovely way with words don't they?
bump yay for the scan!
tina fingers crossed for a lovely BFP for you x
blue I waited 2 weeks to mc naturally and drove myself slowly mad in the meantime. I ended up having the tablet to avoid a stay in hospital but bled heavily and ended up with an overnight stay anyway. You have to do whatever you are most comfortable with (although it really got on my nerves when everyone else said that to me at the time) I dont think any option stands out as better than the others x

Well I have just got back from the docs. she was really nice actually and said that she thinks i have been tested for everything already so thats good! Need to go for more thyroid blood tests next week and if they are ok we are good to go ttc wise - scary eh!

Hi to everyone I have missed out xxx

googietheegg · 01/06/2011 16:55

Hello whatsoever - pleased to hear you're starting to feel a bit better. I'm having an erpc on Friday for a mmc (pills didn't work) so it's good to know. My first pregnancy too, so I know that bit is particularly shit. Good luck for the TTC - hopefully we'll both be on a bus soon.xx

BlueCrane · 01/06/2011 16:27

Hi hotcross I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. Unfortunately no experience of the tests, though I do also hate the term 'products'!

collie they haven't mentioned tablets but that may come up in discussion on Tuesday, in fact I will ask them about it though I had read that they can lead to a very painful albeit 'natural' experience which still might need monitoring in hospital, in which case I might prefer just to go with erpc if nothing's happened come tuesday. Trying to stay upbeat but the wait is starting to drag now, especially as I don't really want to go out and about anywhere or drive in case something starts suddenly! DH on his way home now though so will pop out this evening which will be nice...probably only to Sainsbury's but some fresh air will be good!!

to whatsoever

bump like the new name!

ciwi how was the docs?

hotcrossSES · 01/06/2011 16:13

Can I poke my head around the door and say hello?

I'm having to have an ERPC on Friday (would be 8+3) and this thread looks like some friendly people in (unfortunately) a similar position. I already have 2yo DS but did have 2mmc before him.

I've not quite got my head around ttc again but it is early days and I desperately want DS to have a sibling. We'd been ttc for 6mo and I just need to get to the stage where I can cope with the fact that this rollercoaster may hold yet more heartache along the way but hopefully will be worth it in the long run.

Because this is (in total) my 3rd miscarriage, they said they would send the products (oh I hate that term!) for investigation, Does anyone know much about that and what they test for?

Hope you don't mind me barging in with such a "me" post. Hope to get to know you all better.
Ses xx

CollieandPup · 01/06/2011 15:35

Blue i'm sorry i missed your earlier post. I'm glad you are coming to terms with it, im just so sorry. I completley understand your feeling of wanting to make sure though, and also to give your body time to naturally mc if possible. The wait is very hard, and i can't comment on what an erpc is like, but i was glad i waited and managed to mc naturally. It was just one less thing to worry about and trauma to go through. But the wait is hard and very frustrating. Have you been give the option of going in for tables to start the mc, but hopefully being able to avoid erpc?

MissTinaTeaspoon · 01/06/2011 15:31

I'm day 24 today but as I haven't been using opks I don't know when I ov'd. Af is due Sun/Mon (last month didn't follow a brown gunk before true bleeding pattern, it was a long drawn out one so I'm not sure when cd1 was really) I should have an idea by sat though because that's when my cm will go brown (or not hopefully!)

Bumpgrowing · 01/06/2011 15:24

Hi Whatsoever so sorry you have found yourself on here but these are a gerat bunch of ladies who totally understand what you have gone through and I am sure will provide you with lots of support. Glad you are starting to feel more positive.

MissT I so want a BFP for you! what day on the 2ww are you on??

Wales at Collie Loup and Blue

xx

CollieandPup · 01/06/2011 15:20

Oh Mels (can i still call you that or is that just rude?) I posted a while back to say they brown cm could be implantation. I hope so. Your symptoms do sound promising. Didn't you also say you also had ov pains around the same time as the brown cm? i had the ov pains to and i think it was bean getting comfy. Understand you not wanting to get your hopes up though, as it makes a bfn even harder if it comes. I know you have not been watching your cycle but roughly where are you? DPO? Try to resist any early tests though, the recent CPs are just to saddening.

whatsoever so sorry for you loss, but welcome to this lovely thread. I'm glad today you are feeling a bit better and brave enough to join us.

Yay to bump again. Smile

MissTinaTeaspoon · 01/06/2011 15:05

Oops, I meant shouldn't write this month off!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 01/06/2011 15:04

Yippee bump, lovely apt new name!

Have fun then loup Wink

Hello and welcome whatsoever. Make yourself comfy and ask us anything!

I'm going through the 2ww-am-I-aren't-I-mentalling. Thought I'd write a list:
Reasons to think I'm pg: no pmt grumps, spots clearing up (although see below), felt sick the last 2 mornings and once in the night, sore boobs (also see below), no pms bloatiness, weird mid cycle brown gunk (????implantation probably nothing!)
Reasons to think I'm not: spots (although they started well over a week ago), sore boobs.

Looking at the lists maybe I should write this month off? On the other hand I don't want to get my hopes up. And I'm meant to be chilling out!

whatsoever · 01/06/2011 12:57

Hello all (small wave)!

It is now a week and a day since my ERPC for a MMC (first pregnancy). Today is the first day I have felt bright and cheery enough to say "yep, I think we should start TTC again as soon as I feel right". Not 100% there physically yet, but I'm hoping another week or so and I will be putting away the comfy PJs and getting the sexy nighties out again Grin Oh my lucky DH Wink

So, hopefully see you all in a few weeks (although I will probably lurk a bit in the meanwhile and feel like I know all the regulars by the next time I post!)

Bumpgrowing · 01/06/2011 12:07

Thank you Grin Keeping my fingers crossed it keeps on going ok.

In the spirit of name changing I have also changed mine Grin

xx

ps. secret freaking out hoping this is not tempting fate!

Loup23 · 01/06/2011 12:00

Yay bump brilliant news, may the next 4 and a bit weeks fly by for you xx

BlueCrane · 01/06/2011 11:49

bump so glad things looked ok on your scan Smile

Bumpwanted · 01/06/2011 11:31

Morning everyone!

Ooh this name change is confusing! I have misssed a few days on here so can someone fill me in on the changes!?

Blue sorry you are going through this Sad Sorry you have this wait and I hope if you want to go down the natural route it happens for you before Tuesday. Sending you a hug.

Loup fingers crossed for this month for you!

Hi to Tina and Falcon (i think!) and Stitch Ciwi Collie and everyone else.

So, have been for the scan. Thought I was going to be sick in the waiting room I was so nervous! Anyway everything looks on track and I saw the bean (which looks like a dolphin!) and its little heartbeat. As it was an EPU scan they really rush you through so we saw the screen for about 5 seconds but at least we saw the little bean is there and we got a photo. SO, have allowed myself to feel a tiny bit excited this morning!!! Grin Grin

Still unsure whether to wait unil 12 weeks to go on the list though!

Only thing is by my period dates etc I thought I was 8+2 and they said by the scan measurements (which are apparently fine) I am only 7+4...ugh....if they are right it means even longer to wait to get to the 12 week milestone

xxxx

Loup23 · 01/06/2011 11:25

Hi all just popping in to catch up - blue hoping everything goes ok on Tuesday, horrible for you having to wait and having niggling doubts, sending youlots of big hugs and hoping you're enjoying this sunny weather somewhere.

Love the name changes tina and falcon, confusing though I might end up still callin gyou olis and melies, so apologies in advance!

Hi to stitch have fun with lots of SWI in Poland!

I'm patiently sitting here on my 4th high day waiting for a "peak" and once again trying (unsuccessfully) not to get hopes up that this is the month. On the plus side I think I might O on day 16 which is earlier than normal so hoping my body is starting to regulate again.......

Waves to everyone, haven't heard from some of the others for a while bump is your scan this week? cep how are you?

BlueCrane · 01/06/2011 11:14

Thanks collie , ciwi and tina for your kind words...the more I have thought about it and looked at my dates the more I am convinced that it is over and that I am just waiting for my body to catch up at the moment. The tilted uterus thing has mainly just made me want to be as sure as I can be on Tuesday before we opt for the erpc. I would still prefer that everything happens naturally but I don't think DH and I can keep waiting and waiting so if it's all clearly over on Tuesday then I'll get myself booked in.

googie how are you doing?

ciwi really hope your appointment goes well

ciwi · 01/06/2011 09:57

Hi tina I am taking aspirin now. I was on it from 8 weeks last time (but in hindsight the little bean hadn't developed from 6-7 weeks and I just thought my dates were wrong)Have been told to keep taking it now as it doesnt do any harm and I would be on it from the off then. Hope it works next time!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 01/06/2011 09:38

stitch I feel your pain regarding non English speaking relatives...dh is French and his parents don't speak much and my French a level was yonks ago so I struggle too! Good luck x

blue I think we ALL did the denial thing, I asked for a second scan even though I had seen with my own eyes that there was no heartbeat and that the bean was too undeveloped to be 11 weeks. I'm sorry :(.

googie I really don't feel that you will be up for work that afternoon, please take care of yourself. It took me weeks not to need an afternoon nap after my mc, its so so draining x

ciwi maybe aspirin would help you? My friend had pre eclampsia (luckily near term so her dd is fine) but then she had a mc, she saw an obstetrician when she got pg again and he advised her to take it and now she's got a beautiful 3 month old. Good luck with the gp x

Waves to everyone x

ciwi · 01/06/2011 09:19

Morning all
blue Sadly, i agree with collie. I don't have a tilted uterus (that I am aware of anyway) but I still drove myself mad thinking what if they were wrong. When I lost my little boy it was obvious as he stopped moving and I knew he was gone but with my mc i didnt feel any different. I waited 2 weeks to mc naturally but it didnt happen. I am glad I waited though because when I had the medical management I was sure that they were right.

I am currently driving myself mad thinking should we try again next month or not! I am terrified but desperate to be pg at the same time. Off to the GP this afternoon, I have looked up the referral criteria and because I have had a late loss and a mc I can be referred so am not taking no for an answer!

Hope you all have a gentle day - thinking especially of blue and googie X

CollieandPup · 31/05/2011 23:40

Just a quick post from me as it's late.

blue darling, I did exactly the same thing googling about tilted uterus. According to the hospital they expected me to be roughly 11+5 and I only measured 9+3. But as I have a long cycle I only expected to to be 10+1. So to me the difference didn't seem to much. I then went home and consulted dr google as I too have a tilted uterus and found how a hb can be more difficult to find and how the baby can often measure smaller in early scans. The result being I spent days, if not a week convincing myself they could be wrong. But deep down I knew they weren't. Don't get me wrong, there is a chance. But i'm so sorry to say it's unlikely. I completely understand what you are going through, as it compeltley influenced my decision to opt for a natural mc, as they scheduled me in for a 2nd scan after 10 days to see if I was begining to mc naturally. My hope was that the bean would have grown. But sadly not. In the end, I mc before that scan. I'm so sorry sweet, I don't want to make you feel any worse, I just want to share my experience as I can totally relate, but also don't want you to cling to hard to false hope.

googie i'm sorry you have to have the erpc. Good look on Friday. Take it easy on the work front.

good look ciwi with the gp. I hope you get listened to.

falcon and tina love the new names!!! how's it going tina ?

BlueCrane · 31/05/2011 19:09

googie I'm totally with you on the weight thing as well - I've put on 5lbs since we started TTC and now all my very well meaning friends are bringing around homemade cakes (which are yummy) and since I'm housebound wondering whether I'm suddenly going to start bleeding, I suspect there could be another couple of pounds getting added to my waistline before the end of this which is just a real pain and makes me feel quite fed up on top of everything else!!

stitch hope you have great time away and plenty of SWI Smile

googietheegg · 31/05/2011 17:30

You're probably right ciwi but there's nothing I can do as I'm self-employed and have agreed to it already. Thankfully I can do it at home in my pjs.
I hope you get some good advice from the doctor tomorrow - what does it take to get referred? If you can find some guidelines you can make sure you say the right thing.

And thanks for the cakes stitch - one of the cruel bits of a MMC is that I'm about 4lbs heavier than when I started TTC and have perfectly nothing to show for it, and all I want is comfort food and cold white wine!

ciwi · 31/05/2011 16:56

blue glad you are getting lots of support x
googie think going to work the same afternoon is a bit ambitious. Is there any way you can get out of it? I havent had an erpc but after medical management I was quite wiped out for a while and emotionally drained. Hope you dont have to work x
stitch hope you have a lovely time away. I have been to Krakow on a little break and its really nice there.

Well i have decided that I am going to the doctors tommorrow to demand to be referred to a miscarriage clinic! Cant face going through another one for them to think of something else i should have been tested for -wish me luck!

Hi everyone else hope you are all ok x

googietheegg · 31/05/2011 13:34

Ah thanks blue, yup I've got the erpc apt for Friday morning, with a general anaesthetic which I've never had before. Any idea how long I'll feel groggy for? I've got to work for half an hour in the afternoon.
