hi all

Blue, so sorry that you're having a bad day - poor you. That's how my work colleague, who's due the same day I was, told everyone she was pregnant so I know how you feel. Not the best way to find out. Hope you're feeling a bit better and DH is giving you a huge hug now.

marathonmama thanks..all ups and downs isn't it?

Saw the doc today. I had convinced myslef overnight that it was a period and was wasting her time. She said it looked like period blood, but sent me to EPSU. I found walking past all the pregnant people really difficult this time. What really set me off was a man walking into the hospital with a carseat, ready to pick up their new baby! Anyway, they scanned and found tissue still in my uterus so I'm having a medical management to get it out.

I feel really woozy and tired - not sure if it's the pessaries or the painkillers...Just sitting here waiting for it all to start... again.... At least this will be it finally - feels like it's never ending at the moment. We're going for a few days away without the DC next week and we were hoping to start TTC, but it looks like that's out the window. Never mind.

Now you know why my nickname is WhingeyMacWhinger!!!Grin

Hi everyone else - hope you're all well

SESthebrave · 28/06/2011 20:12

Sorry I've not posted for a week or so. I was really just trying to pull myself together and move on. Still getting BFPs though and ERPC was 3rd June. EPU have finally agreed to scan me again tomorrow so will wait and see what that brings... By the looks of things there's others on this thread in a similar situation so hugs to whingey and MissGiraffe

Blue - sorry for a tough day. I hate those moments. I had one yesterday when one of my team phoned me to say she wouldn't be in to work as she had recently discovered she was pg and was suffering badly with morning sickness. Ordinarily I would have been really sympathetic and although I was, inside I wanted to scream "just be grateful!" Anyway, at least that was over the phone and I didn't have to face a photo in an office full of people!

Eve - hope all goes well for you tomorrow

Shell - huge congrats! It is great to get some positive news on the thread Grin

Poppyjen - is it too late for some virtual Pimms?!

Hello to everyone else - whatso, marathon, Manda and anyone else I've missed!

eve34 · 28/06/2011 19:40

evening all.

Blue hope you are ok, it is so hard babies and bumps where ever you go, your time will come.

Shell - that is great news hope all goes smoothly.

Hope everyone is back DTD and working hard to those BFP

I had my scan today - am booked in for ERPC tomorrow again. Hopefully I actually get the op this time. Waited 14 hours last time and left as things were moving after MMM. Clearly not well enough. So fed up. Want this to be behaind me and move on.

shellshock7 · 28/06/2011 16:57

blue I know how you must be feeling, hopefully its not long now till you can go home and put your feet up, have a Wine and shake it off Smile

MandaHugNKiss · 28/06/2011 16:48

Oh blue I'm so sorry.

BlueCrane · 28/06/2011 15:44

Just stumbled from my desk into one of the secretaries offices and had a good cry...now enjoying a hot chocolate but still feeling quite shakey...just brought all the memories back of how i felt and all the pregnancy symptoms I had and then the awful time at my 12 week scan when they said there was nothing inside the gestation sac Sad

Sorry for splurge...can't ring DH at work...

BlueCrane · 28/06/2011 15:26

Hmm was having a good day and feeling quite positive, managed to do my salsacise DVD this morning and starting to feel that losing some of this weight is a possibility but now a bit Sad again...a colleague at work who doesn't know what's happened and who I've only just started working with has just proudly printed out his 12 week scan picture and stuck it up next his desk and told me his 'news' ... first time I've seen a scan picture since our trips to the scan dept when MCing so not really feeling too great. I just feel so tearful and sad! Was asking him how his wife had been feeling etc and was nice to talk about first 12 week symptoms and seems as though she's been feeling almost exactly the same way as I was until we found out about mc... Sad Sad oh dear, really can't cry at my desk...

shellshock7 · 28/06/2011 13:52

Yep marathonmama totally mentalling, only known for 3 days and it already feels like a year Confused...not complaining though, I'm lucky to have got here, just hoping it stays!

Hi to everyone else Smile

MarathonMama · 28/06/2011 13:31

Oh Manda, it sounds like your head is all over the place. I wonder how you'll feel if you get a BFP or BFN, maybe that will tell you whether you really do want another dc?

You probably are protecting yourself somewhat, you've been through a terrible experience and are trying to stop it happening again in the only way you can.

I felt awful when I first discovered I was pg, I thought it was too soon and I wouldn't be able to cope with two little 'uns. When I mc it made me realise how much the baby was wanted and how much I'd give to be pg again. I knew I would regret not having or trying to have another but wouldn't regret having a baby. Do you think you'd regret it if you didn't have another? How about if you did?

Give yourself time to grieve properly and think with a clear head and I'm sure the right decision will emerge.

Poppyjen, I think you're a cycle buddy with me and Manda, we're both 4dpo. Given the stats, that would mean that one of us is likely to have a BFP this month! Oooh, good luck! Unlikely to be me so it's between you two... no pressure though Wink

My dd (23m) is currently crying in her cot, desperate for sleep but unable to settle. I think it's the heat so I feel your pain. It's frustrating, she's so overtired and really needs a good kip.

Whingey hope you're feeling more positive? I had a bad day yesterday. I had been feeling good for a while so was a bit taken aback to be down yesterday. I think it was because I met up with one of my friends who's due two weeks before I would have been and had an email from another friend announcing that she's 17 weeks pg. I was so jealous of them both and felt really upset. I also realised that I've got to wait nearly a month before we can try again and wish the time would speed up, it seems to go so slow.

MissG have you POAS recently?

Shell I bet you're mentaling like mad, we're all here to support you so let us know how you're doing.

IQ glad you're feeling more positive Smile

Hello to anyone I've missed!

Dd is finally asleep, phew! Right, Brew for me, anyone else?

InsomniaQueen · 27/06/2011 22:05

Sorry missed off the BFP's......hoping for lots more of these!!!! Xxx

InsomniaQueen · 27/06/2011 20:55

Shell.....OMG brilliant news!! That has put a huge Grin on my face, I shall be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!!! Xxx

Thanks all for your advise and trying to keep my spirits up....sometimes you just need people to jolly you along......glad to have all you ladies to keep pushing me forward!!! Xxx

Sending out positive vibes, fertility magic and crossed fingers for everyone getting to the OV point, waiting for a BFN, waiting for bleeding to stop, newly BFN (lots of luck) and trying to hold off on POAS!!!! (I think that is everyone covered)

Xxxx

whingeymacwhinger · 27/06/2011 20:35

Hi guys

Huge congrats to Shell!! Amazing news - always so nice to hear a success story!

Marathonmama - no rolling eyes here - I read that website from top to bottom several times!

MIssgiraffe - I feel that you and I are having similar problems at the moment - or at least feeling the same frustration. I miscarried on 27th May and have not stopped bleeding since. I did a test on Saturday morning and up popped a pink line- fairly faint, but very clearly a pink line. My doctor told me to call her if the bleeding hadn't stopped after 4 weeks. I'm going in for a blood test tomorrow and maybe some days after that to make sure my HCG levels are going down. I CANNOT wait 10 weeks for a BFN - or for this blinking bleeding to stop. I'm tired of sanitary pads now!

Blue- good to hear about your AF - you can get on with it now! Envy Grin

Poppyjen - my 2 year old took all her clothes off at 3pm today and ran around naked until bath time - refused to put any clothes on!

Strangely (because I thought I was past all this) am having a bit of a wobbly time in the last couple of days. I think it's because there's a neighbour who's just had a baby and I saw her with it today for the first time, my boss is having a baby shower on Friday and I'm really, really tired - which also makes me grumpy and teary.... Actually, if I wasn't still bleeding and had had a BFP, I would think it was the lead up to AF!!!

We're going away next week so hopefully it will take my mind off it again.

Hi everyone else - hope you're all wellxx

Poppyjen · 27/06/2011 19:43

Just popping in to say congratulations to shell Grin really hope that things stay uneventful so you can start to enjoy it soon Smile

Sorry I have been MIA, just got my cross hairs on Fertility Friend yesterday so now officially 4DPO. Feeling strangely meh about it this time. I have now started feeling a bit more relaxed (odd I know) but somehow the mc has made me realise that this is not something that we really have much control over and what will be will be......give me week and it may be a different story though Wink

DH and I feeling very positive about prospect of sibling for DS but don't feel in a rush anymore. We'll just keep at it and see what happens I think. Feel very happy that I did actually ovulate (but was on CD27, small improvement on last cycle's CD36 though...).

Hope everyone is ok and not suffering in the heat too much - anyone else with toddler age DCs had issues with getting them to sleep the past couple of days? Poor wee things must be so uncomfortable - gave mine multiple baths today he must have been so confused!

MandaHugNKiss · 27/06/2011 16:57

Roll on the storm that is due here tonight - a few hours ago I was laying there gasping 'Where is the rain?!' It's just unbearable, this heat, and it makes me unbearable too!

My daughter has her prom tonight - she asked me to put her make up on for her so I can't be one of those 'embarassing mums', right? would be nice if the rain would hold off until after she's in there at 6.30pm as DP is taking her and her best friend in one of our cars that happens to be convertible Grin (Not anywhere near as fancy as it sounds 'one of our cars' - he's a trader, so there is always a rotation of nice vehicles at our disposal, but always purchased with an eye to selling on Smile)

Ugh, it's hot.

But, oh my, I will allow a moment of excitement (and so raise my temperature further!) to jump around in congratulations for shell. I'm hoping you have an uneventful pregnancy - so happy for you.

marathonmama Me? Patient? No, no. I'm waiting IMpatiently. 3dpo and it's dragging! I really don't feel it at all this cycle but you never know. After just 'knowing' with my first three (had symptoms out the wazoo), the only time I knew in december (not a symptom in sight) was when I was looking at a second line at 10dpo so... yeah, you never know.

Why, oh why am I feeling very ambivilant about another child now that I've begun to ttc? THis weekend I found myself hoping I wasn't so that we could cancel our ttc plans. Am I just protecting myself? Or do I really want an element of 'life' back - DS2 is a supremely demanding child.

shellshock7 · 27/06/2011 16:56

Thanks everyone! I'm sure I'll be fine once it sinks in (prob not but I can hope!) Smile

It may all be pie in the sky MissG but for the first two months after my MC I was mentally (and physically probably) a bit of a state and had just started to get back to my normal self and this BFP comes along...PMA all the way is right Grin

Missgiraffe1 · 27/06/2011 15:11

mmmm, ice lollies, lovely. Cheers Blue.

shell!! Amazing news Grin. Congratulations. It's such a shame that the fear of another MC takes over from the excitement you should feel, but totally understandable. The excitment will take over from the fear in time though. For the time being, you can mental all you like on here!! Really wishing you an uneventful 8 months Smile

waves to Marathon Whatso and everyone else if they're about.

I have also heard about 8 weeks for AF in some cases, and about not O in the first cycle Confused. I've decided to refuse to believe the latter - only positive thinking here from now. Shell's news has motivated me to chill out and stop stressing!

PMA all the way now Grin Grin Grin

whatsoever · 27/06/2011 14:30

shell congratulations! Amazing news, can understand you not feeling as excited but lets hope as time goes on things will go well and you can allow yourself to get excited Smile

missgiraffe hope you get your AF soon too just to get it out of the way if nothing else. I was told 4 - 6 weeks after ERPC, and I'm smack bang in the middle of that timeframe but I have heard people say it took 8 weeks for them.

BlueCrane · 27/06/2011 14:15

Yeah shell fantastic news!!! Grin also totally understand your nervousness, I know I will be if we get to that point too!

Dreaming of ice lollies at the moment but since I haven't got any in RL thought I'd pass a few virtual ones around Smile

MarathonMama · 27/06/2011 14:06

Awwww, great news Shell! Congrats! Can totally understand you being nervous but take each day as it comes and we'll all keep our fx for you Grin

shellshock7 · 27/06/2011 13:28

Hi everyone,

So I managed to wait until Sunday, day AF was due, before POAS again after my shocking slip last weekend.....and BFP Smile cant believe it, but it's true POAS again using a digital straight after, so not even FMU and it was positive.

We are happy, but I feel scared abt another miscarriage and don't have the excitement of last time...hopefully this will come as the weeks go on uneventfully, fingers crossed.

Hi twittwooo sorry to hear about your miscarriage...I fell pregnant first time round last time, just got the BFP on my third cycle post miscarriage if that helps...but everyone is different, we just did what you are doing and tried and DTD lots each month!

MarathonMama · 27/06/2011 13:24

Hello all!

Welcome twitwoo, sorry for your loss but good to see you on the thread. This website is good for info re. miscarriage www.pregnancyloss.info and should answer all your questions other ladies roll their eyes thinking she's preaching that bloody website again

Blue the water is soooo appreciated!

MissG you're a lucky lady being whisked off like that, it sounds fab. I don't get many surprises, apart from when he 'forgets' to do the washing up! It sounds like you're moving into prime SWI time, good luck with it, there can't be many limitations if dd is away Wink

My epu told me to see my GP if I got beyond 6 weeks without having an AF so might be worth making an appointment?

IQ glad you and DH had a good chat. You never know, you might get lucky in the next month or so. Apparently if you dtd everyday during your fertile week your chance of conception is 37% (age dependent, obviously), which is pretty good. Every other day during that week and it's 33%, so don't give up hope just yet (ref. Dr. Google, he has a lot to answer for...)

No news to report here, we're now officially in the 2ww but given our lack of SWI in the optimal time, I doubt there'll be much to wait for. Manda are you there? Patiently waiting?

Missgiraffe1 · 27/06/2011 13:00

Blue, thanks. Good advice. I think I'll start counting from the day I got the BFN then, which makes sense really. Thats was 16th, so 12 days ago. Oh, it could well be approaching O time if I think this way. DD goes away on Thursday for 2 weeks with her friend and their family - which means SWI can happen when/wherever we want! (well, within reason Grin)

Hope you get that BFN soon, will keep fx you get it before your weekend away.

BlueCrane · 27/06/2011 12:36

missg my doc said that AF should normally come 4-6 weeks after erpc but it could take up to 3 months!! I'd have thought that if nothing happens this week then a trip to docs early next week wouldn't be a bad idea. It's also possible that your cycle won't have kicked in properly until you got your bfn so it may count itself from then rather than the erpc if that makes sense. All very irritating and frustrating for you though! So glad your DD's birthday BBQ went well despite the weather!!

Missgiraffe1 · 27/06/2011 12:09

Twittwooo, so sorry for your loss, but welcome. This is a good place to be.

Glad you had a good time at the wedding Whatsoever, even though AF got in the way of SWI! Most definitely a good thing though, knowing that things are getting back on track. Wish I could say the same!

Still waiting Blue - getting quite frustrated now. Anyone have any ideas when I should see a doc? or Ring the EPU? These last few weeks have felt like months Sad. ERPC 6 weeks ago today.

Still managed to have a great weekend though. My friend had a wee girl on Saturday afternoon Smile. All doing well. Hope to see them tomorrow. And my DD's 15th birthday celebrations were fab. Had to buy 2 gazebos though as it rained on and off all day, so we went ahead with the BBQ and were still outside at 11.30pm last night with a Wine. Working at 8.30am this morning though, must've drunk about 6 Brew already! (which obv wouldn't be good if I was pg - then again, probably not as bad as the Wine last night! Tested yesterday morning just to be sure before drinking)

BlueCrane · 27/06/2011 10:03

Morning all...what a gloriously sunny day Grin shame it's like a sauna in the office...oh well, I'd still rather have the sun than rain!!

Got all excited when I POAS this morning as thought it was going to be a bfn...but then a sneaky v faint line appeared! But am encouraged that it is a lot fainter and took ages to appear so think we're nearly there! Which is good as i want to be able to enjoy DTD on our weekend away fri-mon in Ireland this weekend!!

Welcome twitwoo so sorry to hear of your loss but please feel free to join us...everyone's been sooo helpful on this thread and it's nice (if that's the word?) to be able to chat to people who are going through similar things.

whatso glad things are getting clearer with where your body's up to and that you had a good few happy Wine at the wedding!

missG how are you doing...any sign of AF?

IQ glad you and DH have had a good chat - it's a tough time anyway and I think the time pressure of him going away will only add to that but well done for trying to stay positive! That can only help!
