Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage and too nervous to move over the to pregnancy boards? Freaking out about spotting, cramping, symptoms (or lack there of) and nervously awaiting your first scan? Here is a lovely place for lot's of support, hand holding and problem sharing.

Courtesy of owlbooty here are the Ten Commandments of the Freak Out Room.

  1. Thou shalt check thy knickers to the point of insanity until the baby actually arrives.
  2. Thou shalt also check the loo roll post-wipeage (sorry, gross, I know)
  3. Thou shalt bore thy physician and midwife to tears with the mentalling.
  4. And thy husband/boyfriend/family/neighbour's cat.
  5. Thou shalt obsess over the absence of symptoms.
  6. And the presence of symptoms.
  7. And the fluctuation of symptoms.
  8. Thou shalt pee on a vast number of sticks and keep ClearBlue and First Response in business.
  9. The day before any scan extreme mentalling is permitted without recourse to the Haddock.
10. Self-diagnosis with Dr Google is Forbidden.

The Haddock will be applied liberally to all transgressors.

Hi everyone - not been on here for ages (long story) been feeling very crappy basically but everything is okay!

I have tried to catch up - been reading all the posts and was FLABBERGASTED to read about DACHS. I am hoping and praying for you and your little ones - fantastic how there is some hope and the doctors are doing all they can for you all. So sorry you are going this nightmare - stay strong. xx

hairylights · 18/05/2011 11:56

My Gosh Dachs I'm so sorry you are going through such a roller coaster :( I am gutted that all this is happening, but joining everyone else in the huge wave of positive thought and hope for you xxx

Velvetcu · 18/05/2011 11:52

dachs phew I can breathe again! Good luck for the op, fx it will keep the pups in there for a good while longer. I'm so pleased the docs are at least trying and not just leaving you to see what happens.

PinkFondantFancy · 18/05/2011 11:46

dacha I think I've been physically holding my breath waitin for news from you-huge sigh of relief from me that so far, so good. Fingers crossed for a successful operation later on today xx

AlbaDeTamble · 18/05/2011 11:34

dachs I'm also back from the grads to wish you all the luck in the world. Thinking of you and crossing everything for you to beat the odds xx

Wombat33 · 18/05/2011 11:33

Blackkat · 18/05/2011 11:32

Harassed Great news on the scan, so pleased you are going to join the list!

Scooby to 6 and then + 0, thinking of the list??

Onions there's a grad section on the list on this thread - you could move there or stay on the list as you are, your call!

lara are you there and ok??

to everyone, newbies and lurkers!

dooscooby · 18/05/2011 11:22

pleased to see some hopeful news coming from the dachs camp - sending lots of positive vibes and well wishes over your way x

Well done harassed on the scan - you're chasing my tail lady as I'm supposed to be 9w today. Well actually, can someone help me out on this - do you count upto +7 days as my phone app does (it says I'm 8w7d today) or do you go up to 6 and then onto the next week? Silly question, but I've never been sure.

Wishing all the other scannees the best of luck today. Hope Larami is ok after that really early rise this morning x

KnitterNotTwitter · 18/05/2011 11:19

ooooh Dachs SOOOO pleased that it's not as bad as it seemed.... Gentle hugs to all of you... And good luck for the stitching...

YouremindmeoftheBFP · 18/05/2011 11:17

Goodness. What a rollercoaster. Those names are beautiful. Excellent news about the stitch and lack of infection. Hang on in there pups, we're all rooting for you x

tiggersreturn · 18/05/2011 11:16

Dachs - only just checked and seen what a rollercoaster you're in. Sending you lots of virtual hugs and superglue.

Blackkat · 18/05/2011 11:14

Dachs have everything crossed for you and both pups. What lovely names. Sending thoughts and prayers to all 4 of you x x

Bumpwanted · 18/05/2011 11:14

Dach blimey this is an emotional rollercoaster (for us its bad enough so I don't know how you and DH are coping). Clearly those babies have two very strong parents and I know you will have passed on those genes to those little ones which is why they are staying strong and hanging in there. We're all thinking of you and praying the op goes well. Beautiful names for the little pups. xxx

wombatinwaiting · 18/05/2011 11:09

My goodness dachs - what a rollercoaster for you all. Everything really tightly crossed that the op does the trick. Sending heaps of strong thoughts.

Gi1da · 18/05/2011 11:08

Dachs another well-wisher from the grads signing in to say thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for you and the pups. xx

starkadder · 18/05/2011 11:06

Hi Dachs - I have never posted on here but have been the biggest lurker - have had 4 early MC (one DS, who's 3) and am currently 14 wks with, hopefully, DC2.

Anyway, I have been spurred to post to say that I am thinking of you and your babies and hoping for you, and I am sure hundreds of other lurkers like me are too.

You know...unlikely things DO happen - everyone on this thread has suffered at least one MC, after all, and they're supposed to be unlikely - so I am sending you all my "against all the odds" vibes and hoping that, for once, the unlikely thing is going to be a GOOD thing and all 3 of you will be fine. xx

UrbanLolly · 18/05/2011 11:05

Thank God so relieved for you guys and everything is triple crossed for a happy outcome.....fab STRONG names......xxxx

banana87 · 18/05/2011 11:02

Woohoo Dachs!!!! Fingers crossed for successful op later!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 18/05/2011 10:57

Ongoing news from the dachskennel

It wasn't the head coming out, it was only the membrane sack. Cervix only 2 cm and both pups fine. Still plenty of water around pup1, Alexander Edmund, even though he is leaking and pup 2, Felicia Sophia, couldn't be looking better. Still horribly likely to go v wrong but having an op later to try to push the membranes back in and put a stitch in the cervix as there is still no current sign of infection.

KnitterNotTwitter · 18/05/2011 10:56

Dachs can't tell you how sad i am about your news. Thinking of you all.

Wombat33 · 18/05/2011 10:51

Oh Dachs Sad Sad Sad just praying you might be wrong and things stop.

Congrats on the good scans to Izzy and blackkat (have I missed anyone? Harassed ?

Good luck to the many scanees today and welcome newbies xxx

CaribouMoo · 18/05/2011 10:46

Dachs feeling very sad reading your post, sending all my love and strength to you x

harassedinherpants · 18/05/2011 10:44

I'm just so gutted for Dachs.

Collie, yes we saw everything including arm and leg buds. I'm 8 weeks today but babypants measures 8+2. Will stick with my dates for now. My edd is 28 December!

Will add myself to list later, still on my phone.
