Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage and too nervous to move over the to pregnancy boards? Freaking out about spotting, cramping, symptoms (or lack there of) and nervously awaiting your first scan? Here is a lovely place for lot's of support, hand holding and problem sharing.

Courtesy of owlbooty here are the Ten Commandments of the Freak Out Room.

  1. Thou shalt check thy knickers to the point of insanity until the baby actually arrives.
  2. Thou shalt also check the loo roll post-wipeage (sorry, gross, I know)
  3. Thou shalt bore thy physician and midwife to tears with the mentalling.
  4. And thy husband/boyfriend/family/neighbour's cat.
  5. Thou shalt obsess over the absence of symptoms.
  6. And the presence of symptoms.
  7. And the fluctuation of symptoms.
  8. Thou shalt pee on a vast number of sticks and keep ClearBlue and First Response in business.
  9. The day before any scan extreme mentalling is permitted without recourse to the Haddock.
10. Self-diagnosis with Dr Google is Forbidden.

The Haddock will be applied liberally to all transgressors.

See here for the old thread.

I'm so, so sorry, Dachs.

StillJustAboutDiffedDachs · 21/05/2011 14:47

Following a night of infection, contractions were induced. Alexander Edmund entered the world sleeping at 1pm, followed a little layer by his sister, Felicia Sophia, still in her sac and wriggling. I then needed to go to theatre for delivery of placentas due to blood loss.

Feeling exhausted.

Daisybell1 · 21/05/2011 13:56

Dachs pls excuse very short message but on hols just wanted to send you all my love and prayers. will light a candle out here for you all xxx

CollieandPup · 21/05/2011 12:45

orange we have a monthly unlimted pass too! They're great value right?! We went to watch the hangover 2 last night, but it wasn't on yet ( I keep doing that) so ended up watching something borrowed. So long and boring!

CollieandPup · 21/05/2011 12:42

Thinking of you dachs hope you had an uneventful night and alexandra and felicia are still hanging in there.

silver sorry I missed your post, so sorry you are going through such worry too. Fx for you too.

hairy hope the pains are nothing serious and the doc isn't long to give you reassurance.

batteryhen · 21/05/2011 11:48

just quick pop in to say that I am thinking of dachs silver and hairy too. xxxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/05/2011 11:27

hairy sorry you're having this worry - hopefully it's just burrowing/stretching pains. Hope you get to see the doc soon and get a scan for reassurance. Keeping my fx that everything's ok xx

mamapower · 21/05/2011 11:19

Hairy it could be the bean burrowing... I had sharp pains around the same time. Is it a pulling pain or a stabbing pain (it could be your muscles extending if it's a pulling sharp pain, I had a lot of that too)? Try to relax and wait for the GP xx

LIBBY70 · 21/05/2011 11:14

Dachs, so so sorry to hear what you are going through.
If you have to move hospitals i was treated by Patrick O'Brien at UCH he is vv good-I have been through similar nightmare as youxxxxxxxx
Hope the contractions are settling.

banana87 · 21/05/2011 11:11

Hairy Fingers crossed it is just wind. Are you having shoulder pain with it?

Thinking of you silver and Dachs

getawiggleon · 21/05/2011 11:10

Oh hairy, I hope everything's ok. Are you having any other symptoms? Have you experienced similar pain before? I hope the GP gets to you quickly x

Sending hope and strength to Dachs and silver too xx

hairylights · 21/05/2011 11:04

I'm having very sharp intermittent pains on left side. Have called the out of hours gp.

nickstermum · 21/05/2011 10:56

Silver reassuringly a lady on the august thread also had the same procedure as you, and everything now seems fine with close monitoring. F x

Dachs sending you strength, courage and hope xxxx
And praying that little Alexander and felicia stayed put during the night.

Waves to all x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 21/05/2011 10:47

banana87 · 21/05/2011 09:14

Hope everything is ok Dachs

Chloe55 · 21/05/2011 09:14

dachs I will be thinking of you today. I so hope your little babies hold in as long as they can, what little fighters. Sad

I am very good thanks collie still not back on Clomid yet so still just enjoying myself really, booking a holiday for July so no intentions on getting pg beofre that and I am strangely absolutely fine with it. Am loving being 'normal' again hence me not really visiting the other thread (feel a little guilty as they were all so wonderful) but love hearing how you are all getting on (when it's good news obviously).

Big waves to everyone, especially those I 'know' xxx

PinkFondantFancy · 21/05/2011 09:13

Oh coconuts I can't remember if I said yesterday how pleased I am your scan went well. Definitely hang around, will be lovely to have you!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 21/05/2011 09:02

DAchs - hope last night was uneventful for you and DH.

Wombat - I think yesterday I felt much more accepting of the situation, hopefully today is the same. Hopefully, the future weeks are the same. Will still hang about here though, if you'll all have me Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 21/05/2011 07:10

dachs am hoping that you, DH and the pups had an uneventful night.

wiw I think even the rind goats cheeses are ok as long as they're heated through. Mmmmm jarlsberg!!! I cant eat enough cheese at the moment-been like that since a week before the BFP but monster hayfever has kicked in and MW says I should ease back on the dairy because it stimulates mucus production......

wombatinwaiting · 21/05/2011 06:45

Oh and sorry, silver - I really hope these next 4 days pass without incident and that you fall into the "best" 33% category - sending many thoughts to you and your beans.

Good news from coconuts too - do you feel like you can move on a tiny bit more mentally and emotionally now?

wombatinwaiting · 21/05/2011 06:43

Back on the cheese theme - those of you wanting goats cheese, I'm 99% sure that the creamcheese style ones (Chavroux etc?) are made from pasteurised milk and the only ones to avoid are the ones with the rind. Will have a look later today when shopping unless anyone else has any wisdom to shed... Don't forget jarlsberg, mozarella, Masandam etc. etc. are all fine and I have suddenly taking a great liking to double gloucester - perhaps I need to change my name to cheesywombat Blush!

wombatinwaiting · 21/05/2011 06:40

Hoping that dachs, Mr Dachs and Pups are all hanging in there - sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way.

OrangeGloss · 21/05/2011 01:16

Oh, and re Pirates, yeah Johnny Depp was as gorgeous as ever, but his character wasn't as cheeky as in the other films. We've got a monthly cinema pass so not too worried as it wasn't the £7.50 or whatever it is now
