Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage and too nervous to move over the to pregnancy boards? Freaking out about spotting, cramping, symptoms (or lack there of) and nervously awaiting your first scan? Here is a lovely place for lot's of support, hand holding and problem sharing.

Courtesy of owlbooty here are the Ten Commandments of the Freak Out Room.

  1. Thou shalt check thy knickers to the point of insanity until the baby actually arrives.
  2. Thou shalt also check the loo roll post-wipeage (sorry, gross, I know)
  3. Thou shalt bore thy physician and midwife to tears with the mentalling.
  4. And thy husband/boyfriend/family/neighbour's cat.
  5. Thou shalt obsess over the absence of symptoms.
  6. And the presence of symptoms.
  7. And the fluctuation of symptoms.
  8. Thou shalt pee on a vast number of sticks and keep ClearBlue and First Response in business.
  9. The day before any scan extreme mentalling is permitted without recourse to the Haddock.
10. Self-diagnosis with Dr Google is Forbidden.

The Haddock will be applied liberally to all transgressors.

Just wanted to repost the list, before it gets a bit lost, its a few days out of date though.

Banana - it may just be stretching pains, I had/have them all the time. It could also be wind? Please don't think the worst, although I know it's hard not to.

banana87 · 23/05/2011 08:47

I'm in pain :( It starts in my lower back and radiates around to my pubic area/lower abdomen. Just waiting to start bleeding. :(

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/05/2011 23:50

Dachs Just so so sorry to hear your heartbreaking news. I want to echo what everyone else has said. I hope you and MrDachs can support each other through the hardest you will probably ever have to go through. You and Alexander and Felicia are in my thoughts and prayers.

Reallyusefulengine · 22/05/2011 20:31

Dear Dachs I read your post last night and had a cry, I am so sorry that you lost your babies and it worked out the way it did. A few of us have been following your progress in the past week on our post m/c thread and we have been thinking of you and still are. Lots of love and prayers xxx

lia66 · 22/05/2011 20:02

Oh dachs have been away for the weekend, /am so so sorry for you and your family. :) I hope you and Mr dachs are getting lots of support in rl.

RIP alexander and felicia

Ninunina · 22/05/2011 19:10

Dooscooby as luckyfor2 has already mentioned, it could be implantation bleeding. I had a bit of brown spotting at 9 weeks, it only lasted a few days, and wasn't very heavy, but it was enough to make me worry. I went to the EPU and they reassured me it was implantation bleeding, and nothing more.

Hopefully it is the same thing for you, and you bean is just burrowing in nicely.

IreneHeron · 22/05/2011 17:23

Dachs how utterly devastating. Love, strength and all good wishes being sent your way. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dooscooby yes take it easy and monitor the situation. Bleeding is very common so doesn't have to spell the end. Hope you're ok.

dooscooby · 22/05/2011 17:12

Hi there
Pleased things have calmed down for you hairy.

I'm working away until weds now, why do these things have a habit of happening when you're away and alone? I have a scan booked for Friday, but that feels a long way off now. My last scan was nearly 2 weeks ago but that was a few days before my first spotting, so I'm hoping it doesn't mean something went wrong just after my scan? Maybe it is because I was moving around more like lucky said, although I'm sure that walking to work etc is just as energetic and that doesn't seem to cause me any problems, but I'll be taking it even easier from now on...just hope it's all ok in there

mattsmama · 22/05/2011 17:08

DACHS Absolutely devastated for you and your DH - so very very sorry. Love and prayers to you both and your family xx

luckyfor2 · 22/05/2011 16:37

dooscooby when I had implantation bleeding (which went on until week 11) I seemed to get more pink/brown spotting after doing more moving around. Have you had a scan already? I can imagine how negative and frantic you are but there are loads of things this could be due to. I hope you get home soon where you can try and relax. x

hairy glad the pain has gone Smile.

Still thinking of Dachs.

hairylights · 22/05/2011 15:58

dooscooby sorry to hear this. CAn you get to the gp or Epu first thing tomorrow? I know some women bleed frequently in pregnancy. I hope things will be ok.

No further pain for me thank goodness.

dooscooby · 22/05/2011 15:03

Thinking of dachs as always. Also hoping all is ok for silver and hairy. Sorry to me, me post today but I'm stuck on a train alone and am freaking out. I've got pink/brown spotting again (had this last Sunday). I'm supposed to be 9+3 today. Only common factor both days is that I went to the gym and the spotting followed within an hour or two. When I say went to the gym, both times I only did the most gentle arm exercises and stretching, no bouncing around or sweating, nothing remotely strenuous.

I'm terrified now it's happened twice, frantic googling led me to a piece which said bleeding after exercise was a bad sign. Obviously I won't go again but I'm worried it might be too late with this one :-(.

Any thoughts or reassurance anyone can offer? I thought last week it was probably to do with my period being due, bit that can't be the case this week

Blackkat · 22/05/2011 11:32

dachs, so very sorry to read your news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and DH. x x

Ninunina · 22/05/2011 11:30

Words cannot start to explain how saddened we all are about your loss dachs. I hope you find the strength you need to get through this.

hadrian · 22/05/2011 09:22

dachs with love and deepest sympathy to you and DH. Let us know if there's anything at all we can do.

luckyfor2 · 22/05/2011 08:29

Silver sorry to hear what you are going through.

Hairy hope the pain has gone and everything turns out okay thinking of you. x

luckyfor2 · 22/05/2011 08:26

Dachs I am so deeply sorry for you and your family. Life is just so unfair.

wellieboots · 22/05/2011 06:37

dachs there are just no words, and I am sitting here in tears for you. I am so desperately sorry for what has happened to you and I really don't know what to say.

Having been thinking of you over the last few days and you and your DH and your beautiful sleeping babies will be in our thoughts and prayers xxxx

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 21/05/2011 22:49

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/05/2011 22:40

Dachs I've just seen your news and can hardly believe it. I honestly thought that you were going to get the miracle that you so deserved... Devastated for you and your pups. Sending you so much love and hugs...

tiggersreturn · 21/05/2011 22:28

Dachs I'm so so sorry for you. I really hoped there would be a better ending and am sitting here in tears for you as well. I don't know why life is like this sometimes. They sounded so perfect.

I hope you have lots of support in RL and if you want anything in the way of care packages (food, magazines, books) either in hospital or when you get home CAT me an address and I'll find a way of getting it to you (royal mail permitting).

Wombat33 · 21/05/2011 22:15

Dachs I'm so so sorry. I desperately hoped it would not turn out this way. Sending all my love and wishing you and Mr Dachs the strength to get through this together. Dear little Alexander and Felicia will never be forgotten xxx
