First clomid pill popped last night

After more than a decade of fertility problems/miscarriages and then 2 miracle kids, we are embarking on our last ditch attempt for #3. It may be greedy, it may be foolish but we would love to have a bigger family. i don't seem able to get pg without intervention so clomid has been prescribed again.

If it doesn't work then I think we will finally have closure on a very long fertility journey. Even if it DOES work then it will be another miracle if I can hang on to the pg. I have had 7 m/c over the years.

We are very very lucky to have our 2 dcs but fingers crossed the lucky pills have one more dose of baby dust inside.

Hi All, hope you're all doing ok.

Has anyone had their first follicle scan yet?

CLOMIDHELPNEEDED have you?

I did this morning & there were 3 (!!!) follicles all of 8 & 9 mm. Going back on Thurs to see if they have grown as they need to double in size for the nurse to get excited. I had to take my 2 1/2 yr old with me & felt a bit guilty going to the ACU with a child when clearly some people don't have any.

Not sure what to do about the cough medicine & forgot to ask the nurse. Looked online at Boots Robuttison (?) & it seemed to have 3 active ingredients. Any ideas?

Just saw this thread and wanted to wish you all good luck. My little clomid baby is 7 now Grin I hope it works for all of you. It was so long ago it's hard to remember what days I took it etc but I got pregnant the second month on it.

I had thrush when i was pregnant last year and was told no oral tablets, pessary and cream only. But as you are not yet pregnant it might be ok. Could you bring yourself to ask the pharmasist Blush

Sorry to hear about the thrush - it is bloody awful isn't it. I had a whole week-end of itching and pain and thought it was the worst week-end of my life - then a couple of weeks later we found out that I'd had a MMC and I had to wait all week-end for the EPRC - now that week-end was defo worse Sad Ahh well mustn't think about all that - (positive thoughts, Hippy, you're almost in the clomid gang now!) AF due around the week-end - so could be popping first pill in a week Shock

I woul think it would be ok joy i also did ovulate at about 24 but after blood test on 1st month of clomid it went to 96

sorry for the bfn emma. it's just so disappointing month after month. I'm only on 50mg. I ovulate every month anyway and sO I'm finding it slightly concerning that i've been put on it - scared of hyperstimulation . But my gynae has said it is perfectly safe and should bring ovulation forward and give me a longer LP.

Sorry for another question but i've now got thrush as well...do you think it's ok to take a canisten oral tablet as well as taking clomid??

still no AF is a good sign, isn't it? Or does Clomid mess with all that too??

joy def take at night they give u bad head aches aswell good luck was mg are you on?

clomid i am ok so used 2 it now but would of loved 4 it 2 happen this month as getting married in just under 6 weeks but i will test again wednesday if still no af

Aw Emma, I am sorry. Fingers crossed it is just building up slowly and if you test in another couple of days it will be better. Are you ok?

Joycep - welcome and I totally understand the nerves! I hope it works for you soon. The cough medicine has anecdotal evidence of helping with secretions (!) but it isn't a proven thing. Same with grapefruit juice!

joy I think it will feel like a big deal when i take my first one too. Grin I think it might be worth the cough medicine just in-case, I feel like I wanna do everything I can. At least drink lots of water as that is meant to help too. X

Is it worth getting this Robitsuusus (sp?) just in case ewcm dries up?

Can i join please have been ttc #2 for 20 months now been on clomid for 3 months 2 months 50mg and last month was 100mg i am on cd35 the longest cd has been is 34 i have taken 2 tests this week and both bee bfn although the one of thursday i saw a faint positive line that then went after a few seconds so will re test in the morning.

Most people have told me to take it at night as it can make you feel a bit nauseous. I am planning to take my first one when I go to bed on day 2.

Ladies - I am popping my first ever clomid pill tomorrow. I was told day 2. But do you think that would that be at the beginning of day 2 or at the end or don't you think it matters??!

Yeah that is what many people say on the internet. I read that the active ingredient in it is guaifenesin and as long as that is the only active ingredient then a generic version is fine.

I plan to take that, drink water and drink grapefruit juice - blimey I may leave a snails trail behind me Blush

I'm 1 week into the 2WW - so not long to go now. The second week is the worst really cos you can't help but symptom spot Hmm.....

It is usually prescribed for days 2-6 over here and 3-7 in the States. I ended up taking mine on day 2 of proper flow but technically day 3. Who knows!

Sorry to hear about your Mum and little one. Doesn't sound like life is too rosy for you guys at the moment.

I started day 3 as I got meds yesterday & Doc said day 2 or 3. Lots of diferent info on the web though.

Hi Hippychick, yes 6 children sounds rather alot but it doesn't prevent you from wanting just one more...

Ha,ha never heard of SWI before, v good! Fingers crossed you won't need Clomid after all. Have just been reading a thread on Clomid & multiple pregnancies.... Hmm not sure about 4 ;)

Thanks for your kind thought too. My mum seems v upbeat & waiting to find out about treatment. I'm just assuming she is going to be ok.
