I am due on around the 11th/12th of May. This is our 4th cycle of TTC number 2, after a MC last Jan, and our 2nd cycle using a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor to keep track of things. We managed to DTD 5 times (a record for us!) in the days just before and while I was (hopefully) ovulating, so I have (despite my best efforts) got my hopes up that this month will be the month.

Anyone else out there got 2 weeks of waiting and symptom-checking looming and want some company?

Congrats Bella and Delilah

Bellakins · 08/05/2011 19:29

Thanks everyone ... Still hasn't quite hit me yet. I had lunch with my best friend today and managed to keep it to myself, quite surprised at my self restraint! Fingers crossed for everyone else. Will keep checking to see how things go.

mopey · 08/05/2011 19:10

bad luck hoping but it may well be to too early with my last pg which ended in a mc, I only got a very faint bfn from 3 days before af due.

hopingitsthismonth · 08/05/2011 19:00

oh no i caved and tested and BFN...

stupid irl that i am! Not due ti thursday and wasnt FMU so hoping its just too early ut still got that rubbish BFN feeling :-(

why do we do it!?

mopey · 08/05/2011 18:39

congrats to the bfps
cramps here and exhausted but that could be due to late night last night.
Think will go and buy test tomorrow. AF due on Friday.

pommedechocolat · 08/05/2011 14:21

Congrats to the BFPs!

hopingitsthismonth · 08/05/2011 14:17

Congrats Bella and Delilah! Milo, definitey a good idea toget to the docs to put your mind at rest either way.

Elm, good that you have someone to talk to and you will probably feel much better after docs too- i think it often heps just to feel like you are doing something about it.

I am now day 23 of 26 day cycle, dying to POAS! really trying to last until tomorrow moring Dont have any symptoms but didnt this early for either of other 2 pregnancies so still hopeful but scared to see a BFN...

milocuckoomitten · 08/05/2011 10:46

Congratulations Bella and delilah

I tested this morning, clearblue digital, and got a BFN. I am CD 45. I threw up once two weeks ago, just after what I thought might be implantation bleeding. The only symptom I have that I definitely can't be imagining is vivid dreams for the last couple of weeks. I don't have any AF symptoms either except some cramping on and off. Had a really bad mood last Weds and thought it must be PMS starting but then the next day I was fine.
Going to make a GP appointment tomorrow to find out what's going on.I guess I'm still hoping I'm one of the tiny number of people who have to have a blood test to detect the HCG, because last year when I had longer cycles, I had sore boobs and bad mood which are my usual PMS symptoms. Not getting my hopes up too high though, just want to know either way so I can move on.

pinkpony · 08/05/2011 10:43

Morning all, congratulations for all the BFP's, so sorry for all the BFN's

I caved yesterday and POAS with a FR on what I think is CD 23 of 28 and got a BFN. Initially I wasn't thinking it would be this month but was trying to think positive and over the last few days I've been really nauseous late afternoon / eve which I've never had before and I'm not a 'sick' person if you know what I mean. I also am completely off drinking tea and not wanting my usual glass of wine so am not sure if I've been creating my own potential symptoms by being slightly obsessed?

Plan is now to wait for AF and if it does appear we're off on holiday for my fertile time so will be SWI

Everything crossed for everyone still waiting

delilahbelle · 08/05/2011 10:24

Congratulations bella!

FX I will be joining you with a strong line in a day or two.
The only real symptoms I have is hunger, and nausea if I am hungry. Oh, and a dry mouth. My boobs not sore unless I poke them

DreamingOfABump · 08/05/2011 09:59

congratulations bella fabulous news !

Bellakins · 08/05/2011 09:07

Hi everyone. I took a test this morning and got a BFP! Really strong line.

Bit shocked, my only symptoms have been cramps and a little bit of nausea. No sore boobs, which everyone else seems to get.

Obviously I know a lot can go wrong so trying not to get too excited at this stage.

Hope Delilah gets a strong result in a few days and everyone else gets their BFPs very soon.

ElmMum · 08/05/2011 08:53

Morning all. I've not had time to catch up with all the posts, so :) to all those with BFP (even if they're only faint) and :( to all those with BFN, including me!

I went out last night with a really old friend who has three DC, IVF twins (DD and DS) and a naturally conceived DD. Was so nice to be able to talk about TTC with someone who totally gets how hard it all is and how demoralising etc. Feel a bit better about it all. And seeing the GP on Tuesday so at least we can get advice on what to do next.

Good luck anyone still to POAS.

Middle of the night, can't wake up DH, but I just got the shadow of a line on an Internet cheap test.

Eek! I feel pregnant, have done for 3-4 days, but this is the first hint of a positive. I am CD25 today.

Not going to believe it until the line gets darker. But eeeeeerk!!!!!

blueeyedmonster · 07/05/2011 21:31

I caved in and tested today and got a bfn with a fr. It wasn't fmu though but I doubt that would make a difference

Bellakins · 07/05/2011 20:38

I've got Boots own brand and a First Response, so it'll be FR tomorrow morning! Getting quite nervous. Wanted to do it this morning but my husband talked me out of it. He's more sensible than me!

hopingitsthismonth · 07/05/2011 20:31

oooh bella- what type of test have you got? an early detection one? if so tomorrow might give a (good!) result...

Bellakins · 07/05/2011 20:05

Sound good hoping

I've decided to test tomorrow morning, unless AF comes overnight of course. It's supposed to come on Sun according to my ovulation calendar but I actually think I ovulated earlier than it predicted. So this would mean AF is already late by a day or two?

Yikes. Husband wants me to wait until Monday to test but I can't. wait. any. longer!!

hopingitsthismonth · 07/05/2011 18:50

Congrats Hairy! brilliant news.

well i had a small bit of spotting today- 7/8 DPO so hoping it could have been implantation. with my last 2 pregnancies i had implantation bleeding for 24 hours on day 7/8 DPO ish- but both those times it was like a period for 24 hours though so heavier than today, but cant all be the same i guess if looking on the bright side.. maybe... :-)just need to hold out and not test for a few more days now...

mopey · 07/05/2011 14:43

Just had a thought - actually think my queasiness is related to 2 rather strong coffee's I had mid morning - damn!

mopey · 07/05/2011 14:41

Hi again everyone - have been keeping a bit of a low profile although lurking occasionally - tbh trying to keep my mind off it to make time go faster until I can realistically poas.
Congratulations hairy that is great news and bad luck euro hopefully next month will be the one for you.
I am feeling a bit queasy today so hoping that might be a good sign although still very early as AF not due until Friday 13th (hopefully not a bad sign!!) - luckily I have not bought any tests yet otherwise I would be very tempted. going to try and hold out until Wednesday.
Good luck to all others testing this week.
FC'd for lots of bfps.
x

milocuckoomitten · 07/05/2011 14:30

Dreamingofabump
Yes I am definitely going to GP on Monday after doing one more test tomorrow morning.

eurochick · 07/05/2011 11:17

Oh well, I am definitely out. AF got me in the middle of the night.

So that's 5 cycles of perfectly-timed SWI that have resulted in absolutely nothing. The furthest I have got is what I think was implantation bleeding once over a year ago when we were not timing anything.

Off to the docs on Monday for my Day 3 test.

FidgetPie · 07/05/2011 09:28

Hi all (and massive congrats hairy!)

Despite my good intentions, i POAS this morning - even though I'm only on CD21 (BFN, but I guess it would be either way this early on). Although it's our first month trying, I'm remembering how it was when we were trying for DD1 (TTC for 18 months - conceived naturally in the end after a referral to fertility clinic) - I went a bit mentalistic/obsessed and almost ruined our sex life forever!! So if it is a BFN this month I am going to try and be more chilled out about it for a bit (not sure how, but will give it my best shot!)

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting (and large glasses of wine to those with AFs)

meliesmummy · 07/05/2011 08:59

She is 3 elm, we're looking at a 4 year gap now. I wish we'd started trying earlier, I just thought it'd be easy like last time (caught first month with her). It's soul destroying isn't it? I've had some pale brown discharge this morning which I get 2 days before af usually so this month is out for me :(. Good luck to everyone else x
