JAG123 · 14/07/2006 17:42

3cats - I'm really sorry about your news. I hope that it is something that can be fixed without having to go to extremes. Have you managed to find out any more info on in? I'm sorry that your DH isn't being very supportive men can be so insensitive sometimes. I'm here if you need to rant.

My tests did arrive so i'm going to test this month & will hopefully get an egg sign before my appointment.

Hi Natty yes its my first appointment. From the information that i was sent i know i will def have to have an internal. I also had to give my DH full name & GP. I will let you know how i get on. I'm dreading it. Good Luck for the 31st.

CRASH

Sorry to hear your feeling blue 3catstoo and DH is not being nice to you.

Jag123 is your appointment on 27th your first one? It just i have got mine on 31st and was wondering if you could let me know what happens etc.

thanks

3catstoo · 13/07/2006 15:50

Well I had my op yesterday. Still feeling a bit spaced out and very very sore.

The outcome was not as expected. I don't have endometriosis. I have a prolapsed womb.
The consultant was very brief and just said that the treatment would be to remove it but that would leave painful scar tissue. The womb is also enlarged which is causing the abnormal bleeding.

I have to see him in 2 weeks. Originally he said 6 weeks. I can't be told something like that then wait 6 weeks to find out more so I changed the appointment.

I am interested to find out what my chances of getting pregnant and carrying a pregnancy with a prolapsed uterus are. I had not heard of this. Friends have since told me that their mum's had it and had hysterectomies to treat it. But they were much older than me.

I hate being given a snipet of information and left to think all kinds of things.

DH doesn't really mind as he doesn't want another anyway. So heaps of sympathy coming from him.......not.

Well I must go and sleep now as DH has taken 2 of the children swimming and DS is at a friends for tea.
The anaesthetic (spelling?) really took me by surprise. I feel so out of it and terribly emotional. I cried on at least 3 mums at sports day this morning. DH was very embaressed and told me off when we got home. I can't help it.

Hope your appt on 27th goes well Jag, I'm sure we'll catch up before that anyway.
Are you using Persona now? Did your sticks finally arrive?

Best wishes

JAG123 · 11/07/2006 20:02

Congratulations Trace i'm so pleased for you.

Wow we're on a roll now. Thats good to hear about egg sign being right. I get the egg sign most months so hopefully thats a good sign.

Good Luck for tomorrow 3Cats. I hope its not too uncomfortable for you. I got my AF today so it looks like i will have to keep my fert app on the 27th (was hoping for a miracle never mind).

Take Care All

trace2 · 11/07/2006 14:40

babydust to all, i really hope you all join me on the march thread soon

3catstoo · 11/07/2006 11:48

I just read Trace2's thread. She too is pg. She came on this thread a few times.
She had used Persona previously.

Congrats to her too.

3catstoo · 11/07/2006 11:24

Hi All,

Many congrats Eldestgirl. Wishing you a wonderful and happy pregnancy.

2 BFPS in as many weeks. Are we on a roll?!

Well I'm having my laparoscopy tomorrow and feeling very nervous, especially as AF arrived yesterday. Apparently it doesn't matter, it just makes things messier and more uncomfortable for me.

I'm hoping I recover quickly but don't really know what to expect.

Hope everyone else is well.

How are things with you Jag?
DH is still not convinced this end but to be honest I've dropped the subject since our big debate. Mainly because OV won't happen until after the op and I need to get that out of the way and heal before I even think about it again. But then it will be full steam ahead and probably back to the arguing again.

Best wishes.

tryingtohard · 10/07/2006 15:52

eldestgirl, congrats so pleased for you!

eldestgirl · 10/07/2006 15:43

Thanks JAG. I am still in a state of disbelief. I would never have done it without the Persona.

JAG123 · 10/07/2006 14:08

Congratulations Eldestgirl thats great news.
Gives us all hope

Wishing you a healthy & happy pregnancy.

J

eldestgirl · 10/07/2006 00:30

I know it's been ages since I posted, but I thought I'd let you know, another BFP with the help of Persona!
I got the ov sign on cds 17/18, and bd on cd 16, 17 and 18.
I can't believe. So in denial that I didn't even do my first test until this morning - cd38!
Have had a little bit of brown spotting, which makes me nervous as I have never had that before, but anyway, we'll see.
Good luck to everyone else on this thread.

JAG123 · 07/07/2006 18:47

Hi Divamummy

I found my cheaper to use than the ov sticks. I bought a second hand one off ebay. I find my quite useful. I tend to us mine for a couple of months then quite a break & start again. Its helped me find out about my cycles & show egg sign cd 13/14. I have seen a few posts though saying it didn't show egg sign.

Good luck
J

divamummy · 06/07/2006 22:22

Im thinking about buying persona, would you recommend this? I just need advice? thnx

JAG123 · 03/07/2006 18:18

Hi 3Cats are things any better? I know what you mean re the age thing. My DH will be 40 in Oct but i'm sure he thinks he is 60. I don't think that this seems old these days. When i pick DD up from school most of the parents seem to be around my age (35) or older.
I'm still not having any luck with the sticks. They agreed to send another lot out on Thurs but haven't received them either.

Take Care
J

3catstoo · 27/06/2006 09:18

That's exactly what I said to DH. I would hate to get to a point where it's too late and then regret not trying.

The trouble is he is only 37 but believes he is more like 57. He has this real age thing at the moment, only since turning 37. Not sure why but he thinks he is too old !! Very strange. 37 is probably quite young these days to be having children. Most of his friends are the same age and none of them have children. They have all got used to 2 high incomes and a certain lifestyle.

Well I'd better do some more clearing and tidying.
Have a good day.

JAG123 · 26/06/2006 19:53

Practical problems are a lot easier to sort out than emotional ones though. If you don't go on to a least try for another child you may have regrets but once a child is here how could you regret it. Its easier for me to say that though with only having DD. I'm a great believer in whats meant to be.

3catstoo · 26/06/2006 18:43

They are more practical, you're right.
My DH said to me that I am only thinking from an emotional perspective and not being at all practical and that's no reason to have another baby.

I've thoroughly cleaned and tidied today to make it look more spacious. He probably won't notice though. It's worth a try.

Hope it works out for you too.

JAG123 · 26/06/2006 17:13

Hi 3Cats

Sorry that you haven't had a very good weekend. I don't think that you are moaning it all sounds very familiar. I'm very much in the same boat although DH has been a little better this month. Its cd13 tomorrow for me which is when i usually ov so we will see if it continues. I know what you mean about never being the right time to dicuss it my DH never likes to talk. I'm sorry that you have argued about this. Do you know why your DH is so against the idea? apart from the space issue which can usually be got around. I sometimes think that men don't understand a womens emotional need for children. I think that they tend to think on a more practical level.
I hope you can sort it out.
My tests still haven't come.

Take Care
J

3catstoo · 26/06/2006 12:48

That is unusual for them.

Had a bit of a heated debate with DH over number 4 again on Saturday night.
I just couldn't help myself. I came over with this sudden urgency to get him to agree. I think I may have been ov'ing over the weekend. Only explanation really.

Well it resulted in him getting very stroppy and telling me that we will end up splitting up over this as he can't put up with me pestering him for much longer and he thinks our sex life is suffering too!
He later apologised and said he was just frustrated as I started to talk about it just as he started to get amourous (not great timing but it seemed right at the time, oops).

He seems to think I'm only interested in sex if it results in a baby. (sorry if tmi). Not true though (only around ov time!).

We both said we need to talk more about it but now I don't know when to approach it.
DH has a terrible memory so unless I do it soon he will forget everything that's already been said.

The house is his main reason I think. We have 3 small bedrooms. 2 girls already sharing. I can see another fitting in their room but he thinks eventually they will all want their own rooms.
Not sure how to bring him round on this one.

Sorry I'm having a moan again. It must every month around this time I get depressed about not having another. Who knows if I can get pregnant, I just want to try.

Have your tests arrived yet Jag?

JAG123 · 23/06/2006 18:01

I get mine from Access diagnostics too which is why i'm surprised they haven't arrived. I sent them an email but have to wait 14 days before they will do anything. I will have to just leave it this month.

3catstoo · 23/06/2006 09:31

Hi,

CD 10 for me.
Where do you get your sticks from Jag?
I use access diagnostics. They only usually take 2 days.

Hope your cycle gets back into sync quickly.
Good Luck
