That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

Hi Strike1, well, I wasn't feeling that great last night, but we did do the deed !

I was disappointed to find I wasn't asked to test this am on persona & the red light came up. So, ANOTHER absent egg sign still, appear to have BD on the right occasions, so if it doesn't happen this month, I'm booking up accupuncture.

PS don't worry about the red wine- when you test positive is the time to start avoiding, so enjoy now (well reasonably) while you have the chance !

Thanks snufflepuss, that's given me a glimer of hope, hmmmm which might be a bad thing considering the wine Still fingers crossed. I like hearing the success stories!

I was using Persona when ttc dd2. It was all working well for the first few months, I got all the lights and symbols in the right place but nothing. Funnily enough on the month I did conceive I never got an egg sign to say I was ovulating, however I did notice the two lines on the wee stick and bd'd on that basis.

I'm not using Persona now as a contraceptive though

Feel guilty this morning I'm on cd 27/28 and am desperatly trying not to test. Went to have my hair done with my friend whose a hair dresser last night and not only did I let him colour my hair, I had three glasses of red wine in the pub afterwards I convinced myself that the chances of being pg without the O sign this month were remote, but I shall feel bad if I test positive on Saturday. Oh well, just got to wait and see I guess.

IT'S DRIVING ME MAD WAITING!!!!!

Ahhhh feel better now. How are you all today? Mojomummy, hope you had a good night last night

strike1 · 08/11/2005 16:19

I know, makes me feel weird to think of them swimming about aswell! As for the headach, apparently 'it' helps get rid of them, it's just summoning the energy!

Have fun

mojomummy · 08/11/2005 16:14

it's a bit weird to think of all those little 'things' still living/moving inside you !

Well fingers crossed they are still well & yes, will do 'it' tonight. Unfortunately not feeling great..I've got a headache & feel sick never mind, lie back & think of England

I've heard, up to 5 days (if conditions are right!) How you can tell if "conditions are right" without having your own internal weather man, is anyones guess! But 3 days should be fine and you haven't got the big O just yet, so I'd say NOW!!!!! could be a good time. Make up with DH and then lock him in for 3 days Good to let the supplies build up a bit!

mojomummy · 08/11/2005 14:42

can they last from cd 10 ? ie 3 days ? I've heard from 24 hrs to 2 weeks, is there an approx life length ?

I hate trying to compare symptoms from month to month. I seem to feel sick, have achy boobs and twinges every month for up to two weeks before af. I'm just learning not to listen to by body anymore, it cry's wolf too often! I have no idea either way this month, roll on the weekend. It's a friends birthday on Saturday and if I get a bfn at least I can enjoy a drink at her party

Don't worry to much about missing a night Mojomummy, those swimmers can hang around for days!

...we had a big argument last night, so no BD fortunately I am cd 13 & although red light, no egg. We'll have to make up & get busy tonight.....I saw the faint double lines on the persona window....so it's on it;s way. Also having cramps in my left side for the last few days.

CD10, a test and still the red light (which started on CD6). No sign of ovulation yet.
Am also dipping now as am hopeless at directing wee.

mojomummy · 07/11/2005 19:13

I analyse operations

well I sort of do - but business operations, how well departments are doing, that sort of thing. Charts, trends, spreadsheets. I'm applying my work knowledge to getting pregnant !

well I'm CS 12 & still red with no ovo yet. I think the lines that show on the stick are quite indicative of ov brewing & mine were faint this am, so hopeful ovo egg sign will happen soon. Also keeping an eye on CM - ooo so many things to consider. ( can you tell I'm an operations analyst ?! )

we are keeping to our every other night schedule of BD. If it doesn't happen this month, then I'm off for some alternative therapy !

CD 25 and it still has the red light for me. That's because I've confused it by not ovulating this month. Went for a blood test this morning to see if that can prove or disprove my persona! Trying desperatly to not read to much into the fact that I feel a bit sick, dizzy, have sore boobs on and of and everything seems to taste like hairspray!? This happened last month and I convinced myself this was it and it turns out I just feel like this as af approaches. I think next month I'll collect and dip rather than go for the mid stream testing, cause at least I can rule that out and take the results as there are then. Going to test on Friday/Saturday just in case Persona was wrong.

Not had to worry about using sticks from different batches yet, but I guess it's like paint, each batch is slightly different! Unlike paint though the results should be analysed the same regardless, so mix and match I say!

Thanks Mojomummy i'm sure they just say these things to get more money out of us. Will see how it goes & perhaps keep it as a spare.

mojomummy · 05/11/2005 23:14

Hi jag123, I've never understood why you can't mix sticks from one box to the other, so I frequently do mix - no problems so far.

Not sure about the re-setting stick - if you haven't wee'd on it, maybe the reason is because it loses it's effectiveness because it's out of the wrapper ?

Hi have just done the reset thing for my Persona & on cd1 (although was hoping i wouldn't need to after a strange start to AF but never mind he we go again).
Does anyone know anywhere you can buy cheap persona sticks. I bought my Persona off ebay & noticed that 1 of the ads stated you could get them from Superdrug for £4.99 but they have stopped doing them & everywhere else seems to be about £9.
Also when you use the test stick to reset has anyone reused it? I know it tells you not to but it seems such a waste when it hasn't even had any wee on it!
Last one does it really make any difference if you don't use sticks from same batch? I know you need 16 in the first month but couldn't really afford to buy 2 packs at once.
Sorry about all the questions, just thought i would try to arm myself with as much info up front.
Thanks J

strike1 · 04/11/2005 17:30

I don't seem to have any of those shops round here either, just the normal Superdrug. Got my supply for this month, but might take you up on that next month Mojo.

The bit I hate about the week or two before testing is being careful with the wine intake! Specially as Friday night in front of the telly calls, I could murder a large glass of vino

A sort of discounted superdrug really. There are 2 near me - let me know if you want me to buy a couple & send them to you.
