That's it really. I'm CD 6, having red days, planning my BD-ing & wandering if anyone else is in the same boat as me...?

Hi All

Strike i have been looking at that website too.

nothing to report from me cd24 last test yest but only line.

Oh well always next month

strike1 · 28/11/2005 11:44

Hi Shanks313. Fingers crossed that your first month has worked I found a weird site the other day called something like peeingonsticks.com and it said that ov predictor sticks can show two lines for pregnancy as well and it is strange that the test sticks have two lines and are still giving you a green light! When will you be able to test to find out if it's worked this month? Maybe call Persona and they might be able to explain?

strike1 · 28/11/2005 11:38

I'd see if you can bd every night for the next couple of days. I've heard that every other day is recommended if the man has a lower sperm count but if all is well then everyday shouldn't be a problem, and as you have the egg sign I'd go for it! Having said that, what with last night and tomorrow you'd probably have it covered, but just to be sure

Hi JAG,

Im on day 19 now. Thanks for your help, heres hoping

JAG123 · 27/11/2005 13:21

Hi Shanks welcome to Mumsnet & to the Persona thread. I don't really know the answer to your question, but it is poss that you could be pg. Although if you have had them since o sign it might not mean anything. On the opks you sometimes get 2 lines but one has to be darker than the other to mean a positive result. What day are you on now?
Sorry i can't be of more help its my first month on Persona as well.
J

shanks313 · 27/11/2005 11:21

Hi,this is my first post on Mumsnet and also my first month using Persona.
I got the O sign on days 9/10 and red days until day 13.Since then I have had to test every day and got green lights.
I have noticed since the O ,I have had 2 lines appearing on the test stick although sometimes faint, has anybody got a clue as to what this means?

Thanks

Oh Mojomummy that's fantastic well done & congratulations to you and Mr Mojo! I'm on CD11 but hubby is poorly so unlikely to want to perform over the next few days so looks like this month maybe out! Fingers X'd for some more BPF for the rest of you

Norms did you ring the Persona helpline?

HellyBelly · 25/11/2005 21:13

Congrats again Mojomummy

JAG123 · 25/11/2005 16:21

CONGRATULATIONS!! Mojomummy I wish you a happy & healthy pregnancy.

Norms When you phone i wouldn't mention that you are the 2nd owner. I would just say that you are resetting after not using for a while.

So who's next ladies we're off the starting blocks now so hopefully the BFPs will start rolling in.

Thanks Strike1 , of course will dip in.

Spoke to my accupuncturist today, she advised looking after the kidneys as these have a tendancy to become drained as the foetus is developing. She is into all chakras too, so recommended eating additional orange veg (carrots, sweet potatoes, peppers) to support this orange chakra. Advised to up my protein (tend to be veggie, only organic chicken) as well & only eat warm foods. This time of year is draining too.

We've all got to take care of ourselves of course

Congratulations Mojomummy!!!

Our first persona thread BFP!

Well done. Don't leave us completely though, you will stick around to let us know how you getting on? Good luck at the dr's on Monday.

strike1 · 25/11/2005 10:36

Norms, I would write down all your worries and phone the Persona line. I'm not sure exactly what the machine reads, but if you find out, be sure to let us know. I always assumed it just looked at the lines and stored the information as a predictor of next month. If you machine isn't fully re set or is running low on batteries, maybe it's getting confused and asking you to test more than normal?

mojomummy · 25/11/2005 10:35

Yes !!! hurray !! although of course feeling cautious because of miscarriage. But feel good this time - positive - I think this time is right.

have booked a drs appointment for Monday & will request early scan & anything else I can get !

Sorry, me not reading properly again! But have you tested again mojo?

strike1 · 25/11/2005 10:31

Mojo, I think I read that pg and ov hormos will produce two lines. I found this weird site called Peeingonsticks.com (i think) and the woman has done all sorts of experiments to see what various test sticks do. So in short, your persona sticks could well be saying your pg!

mojomummy · 24/11/2005 18:14

Hi Normsnockers - I think if there are 2 lines on the persona window stick thing, it is picking up pre-fertile hormones

Normsnockers I agree with Jag 123 and think you should reset it and try different batteries. Did it ask you for 16 tests or for 8? Was this your first cycle? Could it have done what mine did and think you were it's previous owner?
sorry too many questions!

JAG123 · 24/11/2005 14:55

Mojomummy Have just read this i rrreally hope it is a BPF for you. Hopefully you are going to be our first Persona sucess story. I wonder if you kept getting reds because it was picking up more hormones in your system. (Although hopefully it is just a fluke as i'm getting greens now). I go by the Clearblue tests spec the digital ones no guessing on lines.

Norms perhaps it might be worth resetting completely with fresh batteries again.

Strike - I been reading about the Clearblue montiors. But i think that at the end of the day they are all just the same as ov tests. Just gives you an idea of your cycle if you are reg.

Nothing to report from me on either CD19 or 20 (my memory for numbers is rubbish even from this morn).

strike1 · 24/11/2005 12:42

Sorry Norms, didn't read your last post properly, I thought you were losing faith cause it hadden't asked you to test I've never phoned the help line, but I've heard they're very good. At least they'll be able to let you know if it's worth changing the batteries again or just hoping it lasts for this month, or dumping it and getting a new one. I guess they know their machines best, so should be able to give you some help.

Hi Strike1, I'm using a very cheap one from e-bay. 3 for £3 I think. Will buy the Saver one today for 99p (big spender!)

Feeling very upbeat, tinged with doubt, until a proper line is seem.

If it is BFP, the key for me was a normal (ish) cycle (with no egg sign on persona, although I do think I did an early pee that morning, not early enough to collect, but enough to reduce concentration ?)& BD-ing every other day from day 6, then 8, 10 & 13 (missed day 12 due to argument )
