MickyLee · 19/04/2011 11:18

deaf sorry to hear your DH is being deployed.. roll on 4 months! :(

Deafworm · 19/04/2011 10:17

i havent been temping karbea, this was a last ditch if it happens it happens month as dh has deployed for 4 months, ive not really found temping useful in the past/not been very good at it and was determined not to get all caught up this time and if af had turned up on time id have shrugged my shoulders and just got on with the next 4 months but now im confused! i have pcos and in the past my cycles have been seriously erratic but i have had a regular 34 day cycle for a year now and i just keep wondering if my body is being really cruel and has picked this month to go back to its old ways Confused

vegasmum give me some hope, how long was ages? im on cd38 of a 34 day cycle and nothing either way? good luck not getting af and being patient, sorry about the bfn but hope its followed soon by a bfp

Deafworm · 19/04/2011 10:02

sorry white, good luck next month

fingers crossed karbea, one minute i feel like af is going to turn up the next im certain im pregnant and now 3 days late i still have nothing conclusive. no af no bfp :(

Karbea · 19/04/2011 09:49

Hello,

Thought i'd check in, no news from me. I'm one day late now, i've not tested as I don't feel pregnant and feel like I will come on at some point... temps are really low now, so AF must soon be on her way.
I'm pretty happy though as if I come on today I would have got to DPO12 which means my lutual phase wasn't short this month Smile.

But anyway hanging on, on this bus until the fat lady sings...

Sorry white :( Good luck for next cycle. Glad you are sticking around

whitegold · 19/04/2011 09:23

Morning ladies, looks like I'm out this month - af arrived this morning bang on time.

Wishing those of you still here the best of luck and I'll stick around to see how you all get on.

MickyLee · 19/04/2011 09:01

poppy Glad to have you back. NYC would of been very cool though but living there with a young family would be quite hard I imagine.

I had DS when DD had just turned two. For the first month I was in the UK staying with family so that was easy! But getting back was hard at first. We moved to a different area so I knew no one at all and we were in house tht was too far to get out. DH worked 6 days a week at the time and 12 hour days. DS had colic and cried every waking hour! Looking back it I wonder how I didn't have a breakdown. I supose you just take every minute at a time and don't think about things too much. Everything sets in to place after a few months and now my DC 2 and 4 never want to play with me and are always off playing on their own. Like a constant play date. Having two DC now is so much easier than having one.

Let your standards lower as regards to the house. Don't feel guilty if your DC1 spends hours on end watching tv for the first few months and take one step at a time.

Later on you will feel proud (like me) of yourself for getting through it.

Plus you kind of know what you are doing baabywise so that is quite simple :)

Deafworm · 18/04/2011 20:27

poppy, its just sort of happens and sometimes its hard going for a bit, i dont know how old your ds is but up untill abou 18months my dd2 hated dd1 as she is such a mother hen but then all of a sudden i looked at them and realised they were friends, now with dd3 at 22 months its lovely as she is out in the garden with her big sisters and is part of the gang (including next doors kids) that friendship they have makes everything else fade, theyre amazing! the best advice i can give for a second is to slow down, its easy to make everything a rush, school nursery, toddler groups etc etc we have to be out/be there/do this/do that most of it is unnecesary and if it does really have to be done stretch it out, i used to leave an hour in the morning to get my girls sorted and out to school, this year with 2 in uniform thats been unrealistic so now they get up half an hour earlier and the same to bed but we have calm chilled out mornings without the stress that rushing was giving us. hope that helps a little.

snap somerset, im 2 days late now and just want something conclusive one way or another, hope you get your bfp tomorrow :)

Poppyjen · 18/04/2011 20:08

Hi ladies

After long tearful discussions the move to NYC is off - we're too happy where we are to move, which is a first for us, usually we are looking for the next big adventure as soon as the last settles down...

Back on the bus for me Grin

But (just started a new thread on this too) really really worried about how I will cope with 2 DCs. I know I won't have any issues loving DC2 just as much as DS when he or she finally arrives but I am finding it more than a little frightening thinking about how I will keep DS the happy chap he is and keep myself the happiest I have ever been. I would be very grateful if any of you ladies who have had more than one DC already could share your wisdom Smile

Thanks ladies

MickyLee · 18/04/2011 19:32

Thanks blue Looks like Next have really turned themselves around this year.. loads of great stuff on their site. Will be my first port of call I think. a tenner each is fantasic value!

BlueCrane · 18/04/2011 19:12

micky really hope you get answers soon! Going back to the subject of your summer clothes shopping Next have some nice t-shirts in with an elasticated bottom (I have just bought 2 to hid my bloatedness at work!) they should do well for pg or non-pg summerwear! they're £10 each and come in white, green, purple and I think pink too....just a thought! They're nice light cotton as well so good for a warm Turkish summer!

Deafworm · 18/04/2011 19:09

whitegold and karbea, good luck really hope you dont get caught

mickylee sorry its stressful at the moment, its horrible guessing isnt it. hope you get good news soon.

im still in limbo no af and no bfp Confused

MickyLee · 18/04/2011 18:31

Ok so general cenus is I am being slightly neurotic Grin

I suppose I was thinking I either could be pregnant and having an eptopic pregnancy or that I had a cyst on my left ovary Blush

will wait to see is AF comes and if I have anymore pains while I am away.

BlueCrane · 18/04/2011 17:22

micky your 'symptoms' sound similar to mine when I came off the pill. Takes a while for your body to settle down and find it's own rhythm again as well as the fact that you might be noticing everything more than usual since you are ttc. If AF not due until saturday then it's probably worth waiting. If AF comes on sat/early next week then you know a bit more what's going on. If not then you can start POAS and have a scan when you get home if it's looking good/or confusing. If you do have an emergency while you're in the UK then I think you're entitled to go to A&E as the NHS will treat you for an 'emergency' condition (I think - worth checking).

weimy · 18/04/2011 17:21

micky I'm not sure Confused

I would be inclined to wait until AF, TTC makes you hyper aware of everything going on in your body for the 5 months of TTC, I have been getting twinges and pains I never noticed before.

But you know your own body and if you are really worried it may be best to get it checked because worrying just makes things worse :(

MickyLee · 18/04/2011 17:12

Sorry white but you never know, fx

karbea same goes for you.. your temp has gone down but maaybe you were cold last night.

I didn't book an appointment for a scan. I want your advice to be honest before I do. So far 2nd cycle off pill. twinge on left side CD8, CD 14 heavy period type pains (no AF) CD17-CD19 really heavy feeling womb then CD20 pain in my left ovary all day - like a cramp feeling. Had EWCM since CD17.

All not normal but am I being OTT here or what? AF due sat, should I wait to see what happens first? I am going to the UK on sat for two weeks and not entitled to NHS so will have to wait to come home for a check up if I leave it. Money isn't an issue because seeing the doctor and a scan costs 40quid so can afford that.

Karbea · 18/04/2011 16:40

Hello,

AF hasn't arrived yet, but based on this I think it's pretty clear it's on it's way...

So i'll be jumping off here soon, onto the Jan bus... that'll be the last month of trying for us before I book an appointment with the doc's.

Bit sad as now this means i'll definitely be at least 38 before i'm a mummy - gahhh OLD!

whitegold · 18/04/2011 13:54

Just catching up with this thread

Sorry to everyone who af got Sad

Af is due here tomorrow and so far I've managed to resist POAS. I've got sore boobs and dull cramps so fully expecting af tomorrow. Trying not to be too disappointed as its only our second month of trying.

Good luck to those still waiting to test

orangehead · 18/04/2011 12:00

Sorry scuffle

xstitch · 18/04/2011 11:20

I would still call the dr just to check deaf, glad your lo is feeling better though.
