Just found out you are pregnant after a previous miscarriage? There is plenty of support, hand holding and problem-shared-problem-halved going on over here. All welcome to join in.

Yeyyy - some company.... (can stop talking to my reflection).

Harassed - for me it's a huge mug of milk in the morning (otherwise I feel sick) then water or apple hi-juice cordial in the day. (I can only drink apple, no other flavour). I try to drink mint tea but IMHO it's vile (apart from the proper Moroccan stuff).

I agree, constant eating is the way forward but it was quite depressing to have had my booking in appt the other day to see I'd gained a couple of kilos already.

Welcome back Collie and congrats on reaching the big 12+0!

TMI ALERT.... Euch, went to the loo before (to puke) and the force of my retching made a big blob of white CM come out. How gross. Of course I panicked that it was something untoward, came back to my desk and did some frantic googling (trying to make "white discharge in tenth week of pregnancy" look as innocent as possible from my work computer) and apparently increased white CM is normal and yes, it can be blobby. How gross though. I am obsessed with knicker-checking.

CollieandPup · 09/05/2011 13:45

Delurks after weekend away to keep lara company before she loses it completely and actually starts talking to herself!! Smile

Good news on the Dubai trip Hun, that will be a weight off your mind, such long stressful hours over there is not good!!! Sorry you're feeling pucky, but remember but the silver lining is that is a ressuring symptom!

Back this morning from windy belfast, after lovely weekend away. Just with 2 girl friends, mainly did the political sights so rather cultured!! I had my first alcoholic drink while there, 1/2 a guinness. Was a lush treat! That's it though now, 6 more months of Ginger ale and solcher (sp?)

12 weeks today!!! Eekk!!!! How did that happen?! Off out to buy myself a new bra as I just can't wait any longer! And some new bigger granny kickers!!

minnie and battery I hope things have calmed down for you both.

harassedinherpants · 09/05/2011 13:36

Calm down!!! Grin I'm sure all will be fine for you.......

I'm tired and pukey too, but finding continual eating helps. I've munched my way through two biscuits, a pot of chopped fruit (half a small melon, apple, banana and a few blueberries) and just had a cheese and pickle sandwich which was to die for and a yogurt.

I have my booking in appoinment next week and wondering how I can get another scan out of them??? Any ideas?? I'm very conscious that even though my scan was fab last week, that my mmc in Jan was found at 10+1 and the baby measured 7. I'll be 7wks on Wednesday......

What are you all drinking?? Water tastes foul and I've gone off squash.

LaraMi · 09/05/2011 13:18

Where is everyone today? .

Gawd, I feel so tired and pukey. Had a meeting this AM to discuss a very difficult launch event I'm doing in October. Literally felt like standing up and saying: "I don't care because all being well, I will be on my way out".

But then I came round to my usual panicked state and thought, "WTF if it all goes wrong and I am still here?!!"

OOH - forgot to tell you all the good news... Am supposed to be in Dubai in two weeks time for a horrendous event I'm running... (think 18 hour days, pain in the arse attendees, no time to eat / sit / sleep)... Anyways - I've been DREADING it, particularly as I'm so scared of something going wrong with this pg... When I went to see my doc last week, he said that if all goes well with my scan next week, he'll do me an unfit to fly note so I can get out of going - woooo hoooooooo! (And I also figured that if something does go wrong with this pg before then, I will genuinely be too ill to fly). Hoping for the former of course.

Jeez - am blabbing the for the hell of it. Where are you ladies? Please come on and chat!

Ate kiev for lunch. Bean doesn't like kiev. So I thought I'd feel better if I masked the kiev memory with a yogurt. So now I feel extra pukey. But puking up kiev isn't an option so I will sit here and feel miserable.

harassedinherpants · 09/05/2011 10:37

Retro sorry you think you're out. Hurry back, we'll save your bean bag!

Wombat I'm with you, hate suits!

Luckily where I work is quite casual, the whole industry is (entertainment type)!

LaraMi · 09/05/2011 10:33

Harrassed - I too like floaty things with leggings. Also jeggings are my saviour with long tops and those cardigans with huge flappy sides (not sure what they're called). I love pashminas too....

Retro - we will see you here soon am sure....

Wombat33 · 09/05/2011 10:32

Hello lovely ladies, I'm so sorry so many of you are having such stresses. Really hoping it's all just a false alarm. so many of us on here have had bleeding of some kind and it's by no means always bad.

Daisy when's your referal to the mental health people? Good luck for it!

Wombat xxx (at work, in a maxi dress... so much for suits - too uncomfy!)

RetroMaggie · 09/05/2011 10:30

Thanks again for simply being here! Did a test first thing and absolutely nothing - less than the there-if-you-hold-it-to-the-light yesterday - so game over it seems. Waiting for af now. Hurumpf.

Wishing you all success this time.
Mags.

harassedinherpants · 09/05/2011 10:30

I am living in maxi dresses!! Also floaty shortish dresses with leggings. I don't like tunics, they're not long enough. Can't get in my jeans due to putting on a bit of weight from comfort eating after my two mc's. Trying to be kind myself though!

Dreading the winter though, my edd is 28 Dec! I think I'll have to give in and get some Uggs.........

LaraMi · 09/05/2011 10:25

Harassed - I too am a bit of a hippy (apart from at work!) so looking forward to wearing lots of maxi dresses this summer!

harassedinherpants · 09/05/2011 10:23

Morning,

Sorry I haven't been on all weekend, I'm just exhausted and we're moving in 3 weeks. Which is even more exhausting!

Minnie how are things today?? Getting a scan sounds like a good plan to me. I feel much happier after mine last week.

hairy right there with you on the freaking!! I found out very early on too, and hadn't had af after last mc in March, and also had a mmc in Jan. Doesn't do much for you head does it?! Will you be able to get an early scan? My epu do a reassurance scan after two consecutive mc's but the paperwork said at 8 weeks. All my symptoms vanished last week so I phoned them and they scanned me the following day at 6+1.

Lara I'm also curvy, and look like I've eaten all the pies too!!! Luckily I'm a bit of a hippy at heart so don't tend to wear fitted clothes anyway.

LaraMi · 09/05/2011 09:36

Hairy and Minnie - thinking of you both.... Minnie - I'd say to def have your scan.

Pink - you had a scan EVERY week? I am panicked beyond belief ahead of my scan next week. The only scan I had was at six weeks and I am actually too scared to have another scan before next week's scan. I wish I'd had a scan at 8 or 9 weeks now.

Ladies - I am knackered... can you believe, I spent the WHOLE weekend at home in pjs? I only left the bed to go and eat... I have never been so tired in my whole life.. It felt like jet lag.

I am also getting heaps and heaps of skin tags - my neck, stomach, chest. I am going to have to ask the specialist to attack my whole body with an heated iron rod after pg. Anyone else had this?

My dress also makes me look quite pg this AM. As I am errr, quite curvy in any case, I just look like I spent the weekend eating pies. Oh dear.

Now panicked that if I go for my scan next week and there is nothing there then I will have no excuse - I will officially just be huge and fat.

tiggersreturn · 08/05/2011 22:45

The other thing is they tend to get active when I'm lying down in bed at night - jumping around must send them to sleep.

tiggersreturn · 08/05/2011 22:44

Velvet - I've been feeling them both for nearly 2 weeks now. Didn't want to mention it with pink and mamap stressing. I think the position does make a big difference.

PinkFondantFancy · 08/05/2011 21:49

velvet I think you probably are feeling your little one, I think so much of it depends on how it's lying, how lazy it is and where your placenta is. Plus if you've got the extra info that you can feel it as well as hear it on the Doppler I expect it makes it easier to identify what you're feeling. I thinkorange was being poked a lot around the same stage as you.

hairy huge hugs, try and hang in there, it is horrible being at this stage but I'm keeping everything crossed for a sticky one for you

Minnie I'm so sorry you're still having this stress with bleeding. Having a scan definitely isn't mental. I had a weekly scan from 6 weeks until 12 weeks so I definitely won't be judging you if you go for a scan tomorrow....

hairylights · 08/05/2011 21:20

Thanks. It's just hard it being so early and after my losses that's all.

Velvetcu · 08/05/2011 21:12

hairy whats up??

mamap I'm starting to worry now coz a few of you further along aren't feeling it yet! Shouldn't I be??? Aaarrgghh now I'm stressing about the good signs!!

Minnie74 · 08/05/2011 21:11

hairy try not to freak-says me who freaks at the drop of a hat!

cep i think I'd get the doppler (if I get that far I know it would really help calm me down). Will it cause huge arguments if you do go for it? I guess it's about balancing out the stress.

retro hi and fx for strong bfp

Thought the bleeding had calmed down a bit earlier but then made the mistake of struggling to get the top of a bottle (yes this sounds patheticBlush) and it started up again but stronger! My negative thoughts are now in full swing!!! Even considering paying for a 'reassurance scan' at a local screening centre. Is that too mental? Confused

hairylights · 08/05/2011 20:47

I'm trying so hard not to freak out and think the worst.

mamapower · 08/05/2011 20:40

velvet I am blardy jealous too! Although I have decided I must be carrying a boy because it's so damn lazy!! I had a wedding to go to yesterday and danced and jumped about like a loon in attempt to stimulate the lazy thing into a kick... but no, nada!!

Pink good glad it's not just me!!

Battery hope you're ok lovely

owl isn't the big move soon?

RetroMaggie · 08/05/2011 19:27

Thanks for responding. Really dislike this limbo land. Hope I sleep through tonight then I won't have to pee in a pot in the middle of the night!

Velvetcu · 08/05/2011 19:01

Hi retro and welcome. I would definately try with a different brand. Sorry that it had echoes of your mc - it's stressful enough anyway without that. fx this is a sticky one for you.

cep I would just order it anyway - what's the worst he can do Shock

Pink I've never heard of a pinard but of course have now consulted Dr Google and am fully informed :) Looks very interesting, when it is arriving?

PinkFondantFancy · 08/05/2011 18:39

Hi retro sorry to hear about your MC last year. How about testing on a different brand e.g. clearblue or first response? Or trying a clearblue digital test - I found that having something that clearly said 'pregnant' was much more reassuring than a skinny line. Some brands seem to only ever give a skinny line no matter now far along you are. I'm not sure how successful you'll be with getting a blood test - I guess it depends on how generally sympathetic your GP generally tends to me. No harm in asking though.

cep I've just ordered a pinard - not sure how easy they'll be to use and I think it will only be of any use to DH until I've got such a big bump that I can get my ear closer to it, but I figured that if DH can hear the heartbeat, I'll take his word for it that all's well. They only cost £5 and they are passive (don't use soundwaves). Or...... how about just ordering the doppler and not telling him? Shock Blush

tiggersreturn · 08/05/2011 18:36

Cep the key to recalcitrant dh's is to make their lives so miserable that they have no alternative but to give in. Bursting into tears and waking him up at 1.30am every night because you're worrying about your pg might do the trick. (I do that anyway unfortunately and my dh is lovely). Not making supper? No sex (you're too busy thinking it'll go wrong)?Disconnecting all supplies to his garage?

cep · 08/05/2011 18:30

hello retro i see no reason why you wouldn't be able to ask for one, to see how the hcg levels proceed. I'm sure if you explain about last time and what happened they would understand. Do they tend to be reassuring?
