I'm glad i could amuse you all with my story. DH wasn't mad, he never really is bless him. I on the other hand would have hit the roof!!

doo i am so sorry about your crash and that the cars were damaged. It is scary how much worse it could have been, my car was just yards from rolling into the main road in the village.

I'm having M&S cheese and onion pie for tea Grin

I've never lived in the big smoke and after visiting my friends down there always came home thinking how we should move. But now i wouldn't swap my tiny village and rolling hills for anything.

blackkat i was thinking 1 series, but is a rear wheel drive really a bad idea??? Sad

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 17:07

Blackkat - was the move to Yorkshire a lifestyle choice? Before my Dad died (of cancer a year and a day ago to be precise) we were going to relocate back to Cheshire to be closer to family and enjoy a more family-friendly way of life. Now he's gone there's not much drawing us back there (plus my Mum has moved down here) but I do sometimes think what we'll do in a few years time when bean has grown... Love the idea of moving somewhere peaceful.

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 17:05

. Have contacted DH by text, email and left a voicemail asking him to bring me home a pie... Think he'll get the message?? He'll either come home, goods in hand with a smile or otherwise be pissed off with me for stalking him on every possible communication line while he is busy with real priorities at work. I hope the former but suspect the latter

Blackkat · 11/05/2011 16:33

Bump hope you have a better night tonight, and good news that the sac is in the right place. ((hugs))

LOL at you and Lara stalking in St Georges. I used to live in London and in lots of ways still miss my friends and the fact that everything happens there, but in fact, I wouldn't swap Yorkshire for London now. [smug emoticon]

Cep at least the cream cakes were consolation, sorry to hear about your prang.

Collie I love your story made me laugh so much, although I can appreciate at the time it wasn't a laughing matter Grin

We live in the middle of the country which is v beautiful, but not so great when we get snowed in for 5/6 weeks. I had a rear wheel drive car before we moved here, and hadn't appreciated the problems this would cause. So after being towed out of a carpark in York due to the snow and ice (yes the flattest place in the country Blush ) this winter and not being able to get the damn thing off the drive for 6 weeks, it was goodbye to my promotion car and hello something safe and practical Sad which fortunately should be big enough to haul baby crap about in,

Scooby are you back this Friday for a scan??

Minnie any news?

Izzy lovely that you could find the HB, 165 is just spot on isn't it, lovely Smile

DH has said we can buy one as he is most envious of the cat who seems to spend most of his time on my knee with his head leant against my tummy purring. I'm seeing that as a v good sign.

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 16:10

Darn Doo - could kill a pie.... Thinking of asking DH to get me a Pukka pie on the way home. We bought a load of "Just Cook" M&S stuff this week as I'm too knackered to cook (and DH is useless at cooking) but I don't fancy any of it.

dooscooby · 11/05/2011 16:04

bump sorry to hear about the pain and the bad night. Hope things are calming down and all turns out well for you x

Talking of food-I munched two gregs meat pasties for lunch! No fruit, veg or nutrients at all and I could eat 2 more now! Better stuff some veggies down tonight!

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 15:52

I have a small car story - when trying to get out of my parking space (we have street parking), I massively scraped my (old) car against DH's car. So both cars were damaged courtesy of moi.

Doo - so sorry you had the same experience and like you said, as long as you both weren't hurt...

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 15:50

Bump - you can go back at 6 and 8 weeks... Was your sonographer, Anita? She is brilliant.

I probs walked past you a few times then! I didn't see you but I was avidly concentrating on the blood number system (as it made no sense). Earlsfield is v close - I frequent Carluccios there v often!

Hope all goes well with the UTI test and in the meantime, get lots of rest and I hope the pain subsides.

We will all do a raindance for a super sticky bean.

dooscooby · 11/05/2011 15:49

collie that's so weird, I did exactly the sane thing with our car nearly 2 weeks ago. It was so embarassing and could have caused a big accident-I didn't really get any sleep that night as I kept thinking about both what I'd done and how the stress would have harmed the bean! I couldn't say anything about my distracted state of mind either as it was really early on for me. It's also costing us a lot of money to put both our car and the one it crashed into, right! As long as no-one was hurt and bean is ok-I don't give a crap though!

Bumpwanted · 11/05/2011 15:46

Awh thanks girls that is so sweet of you all. Fingers crossed the bean hangs on to my uterine wall!

Ha Lara seriously funny we were sat about 10 rows apart. I was right by the EPU scan doors so I could monitor peoples faces as they came out to determine if they had happy or sad news and thus my chances. I didn't see you but I went to the loo about 8 times in the loo right by where you were sitting so you probably saw me even though unlikely to remember. I was wearing jeans and a pink v neck jumper. I live near Earlsfield so not far!

Going to the GP tomorrow for a UTI test. The EPU said I can go back whenever I want but recommended (unless anymore scary pain) I go back at 8 weeks as they said I would see a lot more, a proper baby and a heartbeat and it would make me feel better. Seems like such a long way away though!

Cep sorry to hear about your crash. Glad you are ok and have cakes.

Collie that is so funny!!

Izzy hope the doppler monitoring goes well!

Good luck today Minnie

Blackat hope all is good with you.

xx

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 15:42

Collie - that is a BRILLIANT story... Love it.... Was your DH livid?

Mini Clubman is pretty cool - in fact, got it as my "fcuk it" car when I wasn't getting pregnant, the rest of the world was so I decided "sod it" and I blew my commission on the car (with support of DH). Anyways, spent extra cash then customising it (cool black and white union jack on the roof, chrome wing mirrors etc). Three days after laying out all the £ for the car (hadn't even taken delivery of it yet) and I got my BFP. hahahahaa!

Anyways - decided to keep it. Figured it's large enough to fit a buggy in the boot and if I ever need the cash, I'll just sell it.

Problem is I just need to get over my fear of driving (inner south London streets terrify me). But hey - when bean comes I will do at least three routes - the drive to Sainsburys, the drive to my mum's and the drive to the doctor's. Hopefully doing those drives enough will boost my confidence to drive to other places.

CollieandPup · 11/05/2011 15:35

Oh bump poor you sweetie i am so sorry your night sounds just awful. I really hope you all is ok, like in katherines experience. Can you get tested for a UTI with your GP?

Ohh lara i Love the new mini clubman, how swish. I got a TT 2 years ago with a promotion - i've wanted one since uni, but am now looking at practical family cars to trade it in for Sad

cep oh no about the crash - just a little one though. glad you're ok.

I have a very funy crash story. About a year ago i went to the gym before work, got back home for a shower in a rush. Just about dressed when i had a knock on the door, to find someone asking me if that was my car (my previous new to me TT) - as they pointed down the hill of the road we live on. I'd parked it outside the house. But I live of a steep hill and hadn't put the handbreak on properly. It had rolled down the hill into a neighbours car!!!! Thankfully (or amazingly) no damage. But the worst of it was i ran out of the house in a panic and the front door locked behind me. So, stood in the road with no shoes on, no car key, and no house key i was stranded with my car blocking the road, with a queue of cars trying to get up and down the street. The police had to come to corden off the road while my dh drove 25 miles from work to let me in!!! Opps Blush

katherine2008 · 11/05/2011 15:26

cep missed your post - sorry to hear about your bump in Tesco - hope you are ok.

LaraMi · 11/05/2011 15:18

Bump - so sorry to read your post. Take it a step at a time and try not to fear the worst. I guess you're going back in a week or so for another scan?

I did chuckle that we were probs there at the same time - I was there from about 09.30 till 10.15 (am I the stalker or the stalked?!) I was blood test no. 004 (!) I went to the ante-natal section first, then went to the bloods. I sat right by the ticket machine so I could spy on everyone's number as they went in (as calling-out system wasn't working) at first. FYI I am of Mediterranean-kinda appearance, long dark hair, olive skin. I was wearing black jeggings with ballet pumps, black cardy-thingy and olive loose, long vest top with sparkly bits, green mulberry bag and blue cath kidson shopper (now feel like I am feeding the stalker!) After my bloods I had to cross the floor back to antenatal carrying a vial of, erm, blood. Nice.

Gawd - had I gone for an early scan, I could've been sitting next to you....

Do you live locally to St Georges BTW? I am in Streatham Hill.

PLEASE try not to worry Bump - unfortunately we only have our past experiences as reference points.

Cep - sorry to hear about car incident - at least you're ok. I only passed my test last summer and have a beautiful Mini Clubman outside that I am too scared to drive. Enjoy the cream cakes though

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/05/2011 15:17

bump sorry you're having all the pain and worry, but fx it's not what you think. Good news that sac was in right place, and no bleeding so try to stay positive x

collie I have that Doppler too but with the LCD display (also an eBay bargain!). Despite all my promises not to use it before 12 weeks I did have a sneaky go on Monday (11+3) and think I found the hb. Took me about 15 mins and then I only got it for about 10 seconds but still I think I had it; display had a solid black heart at 165bpm and I could definitely hear something!

Of course I may just be deluded but I'll probably have another go at the end of the week when hopefully those few days will have made all the difference!

cep · 11/05/2011 15:08

oh bump i'm sorry i xposted your message. fx the pain stops soon for you, glad they could see the sac in the right place though.

katherine2008 · 11/05/2011 15:02

oh bump you poor old thing. but remember, pain and no bleeding is just fine. I clearly recall being in hospital at 6 weeks being tested and wanting it all to end too. it might be worth taking a panadol. also I know it seems daft, but take some gaviscon too. I remain convinced that the pain was something wierd happening with my digestive system (although it didn't feel like it at all at the time) so you never know, it might just work and it won't do any harm.

Sending you lots of love.

Bumpwanted · 11/05/2011 14:58

Thanks Katherine I really hope so. It was so bad last night that I thought if this is a MC I just want it to happen and for it to be over as I just couldn't take it. I told my husband this morning I think it was more painful than childbirth! Clearly if I make it this time I will be going for an epidural!! xxx

katherine2008 · 11/05/2011 14:56

bumpwanted at 6 weeks with dc1 i had the same, was tested for ectopic I was in so much pain but it all ended up just fine (she is now 2.8). fx it's nothing - but I remember how horrible it is - I was crying and being sick all the time. It stopped at about 8 weeks.. x

cep · 11/05/2011 14:55

afternoon ladies, what a blooming day ds was sick this morning although seemed fine so he went to nursery anyway. crashed car reversing out of tesco's carpark, me and bloke reversed at same time. thankfully not fast, his car fine, my indicator light was smashed. thankfully i bought cream cakes while i was in there so i can comfort eat instead of drink.

Goodluck minnie

blackkat i'm not too bad thankyou for asking, how are things with you?

The news about kelly brook has got my mentalling going again.

I think i'm too far from everyone to meet up, can't afford to go anywhere this year either, can't even go to Manchester for my cousins birthday and another cousins baby's christening, gutted.

Bumpwanted · 11/05/2011 14:53

Hi ladies

Had a horrendous night of really really pain stomach pains. I almost called an ambulance as it got so bad I couldn't take it. Am keeping a low profile on here as I am not really acknowledging I am pregnant but had to laugh when I read Lara's post as I went to the EPU this morning at St Georges as I was so worried and wondered if it was an ectopic pregnancy. We must have been there at the same time! What number blood test were you as I was watching each one go in to take my mind off waiting for the scan!

Anyway as I am only 5 weeks they couldn't see anything other than the sac on the scan. Didn't really reassure me about the pains at all as they think it could be a UTI (not that they tested for it) but I have had plenty of those and this is a totally different pain - like period pains. I still think my uterus is contracting trying to get rid of the embryo and its all going to end badly but there is nothing I can do to stop it so I just have to take it day by day and just hope the pain doesn't come back as bad as last night.

Hope everyone is ok. Sorry not to name check but I am lying in bed with a very sore tummy and feeling pants.

xxxx

CollieandPup · 11/05/2011 14:48
