Hi daisy what has the doc referred you for? Is it anxiety? There's likely to be better access to psychological therapy in your area these days after lots of money has been put into it nationally in the last few years. No-one will make you goon any meds, it's entirely your decision. Not sure if you've had treatment before but there are also some really good self-help books (not the paul McKenna type!) out there.

Hopefully the other ladies will comment re movements etc but I'm sure all is fine. Would you be able to get a reassurance scan?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 06/05/2011 07:49

Hurray for harassed dachs and cep for yesterday's scans - great news!! cep that's annoying re the dates - I would stick to yours if you're sure.

Good luck to doo and battery for today - those hcg numbers look fab though battery !!

velvet good to hear dopplering is working for you Smile. Dh wanted to give it a go last night but I said we should at least wait for the gel and the instructions to turn up before we try - aren't you all proud of my self-restraint?!

Actually am glad I got the Doppler because I spoke to the mw yesterday for booking in blood results and she was telling me she doesn't listen in at 16 weeks anymore Shock. I did point out that that was the only way I found out my baby had died and that otherwise I wouldn't have known until my 20-week scan. She said that I would have started bleeding by then but I don't think that's necessarily right - I was 17 weeks and the erpc and baby had died at 14 and I had no signs anything was wrong. And anyway surely the sooner you know, the better?

Anyway rant over, but I'm pleased I've got my own Doppler or I think I would go mad. Given that I'm also paying for all my own scans, I really just need to buy a blood pressure monitor and learn to take blood then I can carry out my own ante natal care completely Angry

Daisybell1 · 06/05/2011 07:39

Morning all

Can I mental for the moment? (Appropriate word there as you'll see).

Dr has referred me to the Community Psychiatric Nursing team. I have an appointment on the 16th to discuss medication Sad I don't want medication at this stage, I want to try talking therapies first, and am cacking myself that things are really that bad.

Plus I haven't had any mini-farmer movements for a few days now. I know I come and go at this stage, but am still freaking out.

Sorry, Me Me Me again.

dooscooby · 06/05/2011 04:49

Great news about the scan cep.

Completely bricking it about mine today, hence the waking at crazy hour. Haven't done any cb digis or had any bloods done yet so I'm terrified they'll be nothing in there. Should be 7+2-eek!

Good luck battery you fellow scanner x

Velvetcu · 05/05/2011 21:45

wow sooo much news!

great news from the scanners so pleased for you and for batterys levels.

Izz I've been dopplering for a week or so now and have found a hb every time with no probs so it wont be long before you get it if you cant just yet. I'm hearing bean kick on it too now and its all wonderful Grin

mummya I'm glad things have settled down for you.

yrmotb I confess to cbdigi checking a week after my bfp too.

blackkat yay you're on the list :)

Sorry i cant remember who was talking about cramps but ive had them quite bad, sometimes i have twinges which make me wince. Also with the stretching out - I've been worried abnout doing it too but i feel like I need to all the time!

cep · 05/05/2011 20:54

blackkat thanks, i am feeling a lot more relaxed now, hopefully i'll get good results back from blood test and i can totally relax.

good lucks for the scanners tomorrow

cep · 05/05/2011 20:51

yrmotb 5 days which isn't much but blooming annoying. (still don't believe it.) Grin he can be really cute bless him but he is definately a typical boy.

Blackkat · 05/05/2011 20:49

Cep so pleased for you, I know how worried you were, such great news. I hope you get to relax for a while now. Smile

Zen, who mentioned zen, I keep losing mine! If I find some I will offer it around liberally.

Lara I'm having to eat little and often, and all the things I seemed to like two weeks ago make me feel ill now, [frustrated emoticon].

Jiggle so pleased that you're going to join the list, Grin (not that I can talk about joining the list)

Battery, Scooby good luck tomorrow, thinking of you both

Shame tomorrow isn't a bank holiday eh...Sad

YouremindmeoftheBFP · 05/05/2011 20:32

Ah, cep your ds sounds so cute. And good news for the scan. How far did they change the dates?

dachs yey for the double trouble. I'm sure I saw some zen before. Let me try to wonder whereGrin

cep · 05/05/2011 17:43

evening ladies.

hihp yay so pleased for you hon.

dach how sweet.

jiggle i told my ds (3 in a few weeks) cause he kept jumping on my stomach, he knows it's there but doesn't say anything about it. If you ask him whats in mummy's tummy he'll say baby.

Scan went fine, heart still going, although they don't tell me how fast. Nuchal measurement a little high for my liking was 2.1 but still within limit for my dates. They did however put my dates back again although i disagree, she did say the scan is give or take 5 days. they've now put the date at 10/11/11 but i don't want to change it on list as i don't agree. Grin So just have to wait for blood test results now, will call within 5-7 days if high risk. Ds kept saying baby in mummy, was so cute.

DoubleDiffedDachs · 05/05/2011 17:20

yrmotb yay for evil CBD increasing :)

MummyAbroad · 05/05/2011 17:20

collie plenty of time between nuchal and due date to get the pen out - they only look at the big number hand written on the front page of your notes>

DoubleDiffedDachs · 05/05/2011 17:17

Hello all :) Just had another peek at the dachspups and they are both very wriggly and still seem to be a boy and a girl, which is reassuring!

doc was making me v Envy with his photos of his holiday in Bali which he's just hot back from

Am now going to totally mental until the 20 week scan but am trying to capture some Zen, so if you see any can you send it in my direction? Grin

CollieandPup · 05/05/2011 17:12

ymotBFP Smile glad the cb didgi went up!! It's a big relief! don't be too quiet we like having you around, and the mentally is compulsary!

Also meant to say thanks to mummya for the advice and sharing your story. I don't think me lying about my LMP at this stage will prob do any difference if there scan shows the same dates, and I'll need to given them the printed report for the NT results so no way of changing it. I suppose I just need to be strong and stubborn in the end if pup is late. I was actually 2 1/2 months prem, does anyone know if that effects the chances of you being early? I'm an only child so no other labour experience for mum. She was a smoker too, I'm not.

CollieandPup · 05/05/2011 17:05

Lurking for cep

lara I've only just come back from holiday and I'm off already. My sickness came back with avengance yesterday lunchtime and lasted all night. Still felt rotten this morning so called in sick, and spent the day inbetween the sofa and the toilet basin!! Yuk!! I've managed to just work from home so far too, but I really needed proper rest. I really need to be in tomorrow to catch up on a few urgent things but I'd really like to just have another day of rest.

katherine2008 · 05/05/2011 16:28

cep where are you girl? Brew waiting for you...

YouremindmeoftheBFP · 05/05/2011 16:23

Any news from cep?

I did a dreaded cb digi this morning, after having a panic yesterday. Slighlty relieved, as it's gone from 1-2 weeks last tuesday at 11 DPO when af was due, to 3+ weeks today, 9 days later, and I should be 5 weeks today, which fits. So, panic abated for the day. I now have no poas sticks left in the house to drive myself mental with.

Hope you're all well, am trying not to spend much time in here til after 6 weeks in a vain attempt to stop my mentalling. Or bury my head in the sand. One of the two.

Waves to all, you lovely people.

MummyAbroad · 05/05/2011 15:19

LaraMi · 05/05/2011 15:16

So relieved others feel the same - worried it was a bad sign... fingers crossed. Thank you....

Glad you're joining the list, Jiggle!

Am working from home today. Just fell asleep, lap top next to me on sofa - have a conf call in ten mins and don't know how I will have the energy to do it.

Blackkat - I find I feel nauseous if I don't eat something every couple of hours.

jigglebum · 05/05/2011 14:57

Afternoon everyone - funny I could have described the last few posts symptoms too today. More cm, abdominal pains and really tired today. I saw the MW on tuesday and asked about the pains and she said it was quite common, particularly around the time of your normal period, which for me would be about now, so could also be the same for a couple of you I think.

I am nine weeks ish today and it is getting to the stage where I think it is becoming a bit obvious already! already seem to have enormous breasts and a podgy tum. Still want to hold out till the scan to tell people but not sure I can much longer! so tired at the moment too, but waking early, which is annoying.

Those of you with other children - when do you think you will tell them.? My DS is nearly 3 , so won't say anything yet to him but he is very keen on babies, so that is hopefully a good sign.

I could perhaps be brave and join the list - so if anyone is updating it

aMuminwaiting · 05/05/2011 14:53

Has anyone else been watching misbehaving mums to be? I don't know why I did it to myself. I knew I'd end up screaming at the tv!

aMuminwaiting · 05/05/2011 14:52

Finally got the date for my 6 week scan! Next Wednesday, when I'll be six weeks 6 days...couldn't get it much closer could they?! According to my midwife's calculations though I'll be 8 weeks 2 days I think which doesn't fill me with confidence in 'being given extra care and monitoring' this time. Oh well as long as this little one stays strong and sticks fast in there I don't care.

Wombat33 · 05/05/2011 14:49

Battery those are great numbers! I had quite high HCG levels too when I had bloods done early on. Didn't mean twins for me but did mean bean was coming along nicely! Good luck for tomorrow. With bloods like those I think you can allow yourself to feel a bit positive - along with the compulsory mentalling of course! Grin

Blackkat · 05/05/2011 14:41

lara i'm getting those pains too, am damp, sorry tmi, with cm and really nauseous, think it must be hormones? battery what brilliant results, twins?! Fx for tomorrow. Lol at your catapulting thoughts. mummya so pleased spotting has stopped.

harassedinherpants · 05/05/2011 14:38

I'm getting lots of period type pains, and as you all saw my scan was perfect. Actually they're there now!

Bump I've had lots of pains, actually with all my pregs (I have 3 dc's and this is preg no 7). The other night I had really sharp ones and just lay there for hours waiting for the bleeding to start, but it never did. What's your epu like?? It might be worth phoning them and seeing what they say. That's what I did yesterday, spoke to the ward sister and she couldn't have been more lovely. Booked me in for a scan today, and said she'd put down I'd been referred by gp! Def worth a ring imo.

Battery I don't like to be stretched out either, it just doesnt feel right. I've been sleeping with a pillow under my knees so I'm always bent up.
