between today to the 10th for the AF to come. So nervous not feeling as many symptoms although nauseous half of the day, not cramps at all, huge belly and feeling really tired. Let's see. Fx for u girls

Hi golden thanks a lot for your words. I tested yesterday morning and it was neg but was still 5 days to AF so not very reliable. I still feel the symptoms so I just hope the wait goes fast and either AF or bfp comes up and can live without all this stress. hope you have your bit of luck too and get pg by ur next cycle. Have you tested yet? If not try to hold out until the 10th when AF is due to get a more accurate result. Your situation is obviously very different to mine but I can totally empathaise with how crazy the waiting makes you. I would suggest you talk to DH to prepare him in case you are pg but I can understand your reservations. Mumsnet is a great place to vent and share your concerns as you can always find someone in a similar situation.

Hi ladies! dont know if I should be even posting here but here it goes. I have 3 DCs and although my DH is not really happy w the idea of having more I am. We are not TTC but might anyways have happened. With my other 3 I had a bit of spotting a week before my AF and a few days ago it happened again It never happend to me just when I was PG And this time was right after having intercourse (which never happened to me before).
My AF is not until around the 10th. I have had some cramps very mild but I have felt sick all day long after a cup of coffee. Dont know what to think, dont want to tell DH either cos will think Im obsess (I probably am :) ).I bought a PT today but dont know if use it or wait for my AF to arrive
This is driving me insane cos I dont really want to tell anyone until Im completely 100% sure, dont know how our families or even my Dh will react.
I just needed to take it out of my chest. thanks for listening.

How are you both? It's been nearly a week since I last logged on to mumsnet. I felt like I needed a break from all things related to ttc. I'm still waiting for AF, I'm now on cd37 and there's no sign of her yet. I've taken another HPT and it was negative so it's seems I'm going through another one of my long cycle phases. So frustrating because I can't use my CB fertility monitor until I get my period.

this will be baby no4 for me but child 5 (i adopted and skipped the preggo big lol)

my cycles are all over the place and can range from 17days all the way to 38 days!!!

very rarely do i get a + on a opk
yesterday and today ive had the strongest + on the opk ive ever ever had
but i also dont want to get my hopes up
today is cd 23 so god knows how long this cycle is going to be uurggghhhh
ive been lucky ebough in the past to fall pregnant with relative ease
this time im sure im being punished for something as were now at 8 months of trying

Feeling much better now. DH and I decided to throw ourselves into some DIY to take our minds off things and its really helped. AF still hasn't arrived so all I can do is wait and have my CB fertility monitor on standby. I've also vowed to try and shift the extra stone I've been carrying round as this could help to boost my fertility. Other women manage to beat PCOS and so will I!

I'm glad to hear your DH is supportive of IUI, it worked for a 40 year old work colleague of mine so I've witnessed a real life success story. I hope you've managed to enjoy your weekend away despite AF.

It's another BFN for me ; (

It just hurts so much to see 'not pregnant' in the clearblue window once again (realised I had a CB digital test at home after all so I know it's right) The cramping was obviously just another PMS symptom to add to my extensive list. In a way it actually helped that we had friends over because I couldn't have a cry like I usually do - although I suspect the tears may creep up on me tomorrow. When AF finally shows up I'll start using the CB fertility monitor for our 7th attempt. Totally and utterly crushed as always, BFN's never get easier. I know 7 months is nothing compared to other women on MN so I won't go on any more.

Laughing fx for you. I really hope the cramps weren't being caused by AF. Don't pay any attention to articles talking about the 'ideal' time to become a parent, there is no ideal time and every woman is different. My mum had me at 38 and my sister at 41 (without any kind of fertility treatment) so I know it can be done and she has no regrets whatsoever about having us later in life. If AF doesn't arrive do you think you'll be able to hold off testing until you get back? A BFN on a mini break would be quite hard to cope with.

Long cycles are such a nightmare, I totally understand where you're coming from. My latest BFN and absence of AF has proven that the dates I'd calculated for ovulation were all wrong this month and until AF comes I can't even plan my next move. I'm hoping the CB fertility monitor is the way forward.

I felt sick but I think that was all the travelling.

Meanwhile think I can feel AF cramps starting... DH and I won't be together for my June fertile days so that is going to make this

I'm ttc #2 and have the most random periods. I could be in the 2ww right now, or I could have just ovulated, or not even ovulated yet!

I go between 28 and 40 days - seen dr and she says as it's in the normal range I'm ok - don't think it's that normal to fluctuate 12 days!!

The latest of late would be 13th June (day 40) so have to wait until then - did 5 tests last month as didn't know when I was due and on day 40, BAM! If I'm on 28 day - I'm due AF this coming Wed.

It's makes me really sad to think of you and DH going all the way to Slovenia for a miserable weekend. Try to throw yourself into exploring the sights - and avoid pharmacies because if you test and get a BFN your break really will be ruined. Persoanlly I find BFN's set me off a lot more than the acutal arrival of AF even though they both mean the same thing. I think the visual 'no' you get from a HPT is somehow harder to bear.

AF hasn't arrived yet but instead of being hopeful I'm now starting to worry that I'm going to have one of my long cycles becuase the PMS type feelings I had yesterday have disappeared. I'd been planning to hold off POAS until at least Sunday becuase this would make me technically late but I've just discovered that DH has invited friends round for dinner tonight, and as I want to have a glass of wine I'm going to test. I've only got Boots cheapies to use but if I am pregnant surely there would be enough HCG for it to show up by now?!

Welcome MrsHuxtable, congratulations on getting married. have a wonderful honeymoon (somewhere hot?), enjoying ttcing and good luck. I second everything Golden has said re testing early and also want to say that the stress and misery is definitely not helping, so ENJOY this pre-parenting / newly married stage, have lots of sex and good luck.

Golden, I am so with you. Its the hope that I can't bear! Even though I have no symptons at all and I am sure AF will arrive tomorrow or Saturday, I can't help hoping and dreaming and working out what the due date would be.

Me and DH are off to Slovenia tomorrow. This was my idea to distract me from thinking about my period all weekend. However, I don't think my idea is going to work and it could be worse being sad and not making the most of the trip than just being sad at home. It is a nightmare. Please post and let me know how are you are feeling / doing. I won't be able to post from out of the country unless I can log on.

I wonder what the chances of all 3 of us finding out we are pregnant this weekend? Probably a lot higher than winning the lottery!

Fingers, toes and eyes crossed indeed! I really feel like AF is imminent now but I never give up hope until she actually puts in an appearance! The worst thing for me is when the PCOS causes missed/long cycles (which happens every few months) becuase when that happens I can't predict when I'll be ovulating next. I'd love to have three DC's by the time I'm 35 but with things being the way they are I'll be eternally grateful just to have one. I really hope this is going to be your month.

Big congratulations on your wedding, I hope you have a wonderful day. I also really hope that your first month of ttc has been a success, but don't let it spoil your honeymoon if it hasn't. As you may or may not discover the 2ww opften feels more like a 2 month wait! It's a strange mix of hopeful fantasies about becomeing a mum mixed with the acute anxiety of symptom spotting and POAS addiction. My tip is not to test to early, not only will you waste money on tests, but seeing BFN's really starts to bring you down after a while. Remember that age is definitely on your side and that anything up a year is normal - taht's what I tell myself anyway.

I have no idea when or if I ovulated this cycle (first months of ttc) but my AF is due next week either on Thursday or Friday (I'm getting married that day!!!) so the plan is to do a test on honeymoon if nothing has happened by Sunday.

I was so excited about ttc and couldn't wait to start but know it's actually happening, it's just more waiting. I'm only 27, well almost 28 and H2B is 25, so really we should be quite fertile but I'm a worrier and paranoid that something is wrong with me in the reproductive department.

I guess there's nothing left to do but wait...I wish you all good luck!!!

Golden - I think you are right not to test until AF is late. I am not planning to test until Monday but like you the cramping has gone without spotting (from what I have read spotting is NOT common) and I don't have pregnancy boobs either. Yesterday I saw an old school friend who has an 18 month old. My friend said she didn't have sore boobs until 6 weeks.
So frustrating.

Sorry to hear that you have PCOS but take comfort from being 7 years younger than me. You could have 3 DCs by the time you are my age!

I'm 28 and DH is 33 we are ttc#1 and I have PCOS so I always knew it was going to be a challenge - this is our 6th month of trying. I try really hard not to be disheartened, but like you I get the blues each time another month goes past without me falling pregnant.

The cramping I was experiencing last week and on Saturday has disappeared now, and I didin't get any spotting to back up my hope that it was being caused by implantation -so I'm much less hopeful of a successful month than I was last week.

Like you I've been feeling very bloated - although this has happended to me before and the only breast tenderness I can report is very occassional pain at the sides - not the heavy feeling or sore nipples that expectant mum's complain about. It's not looking good...

I don't think I can face another negative test at the moment so I think I'm going to hold off unless AF is late. I've bought a clear blue fertility monitor and plan to give that a go next cycle.

Golden we are ttc#1, I am 35 but DH is 47. He doesn't have any DCs. I have been feeling so miserable thinking that this will be another month I won't be pregnant. I will be 36 in January so it feels like time is ticking by quickly. What about you?

More cramping now. I am convinced it's my period. But of course there is always hope. I have been feeling a bit bloated which I don't normally feel when I am pre menstrual but obviously this is a common pre period symptom for some.

I don't want to bring you down but I can help feeling that if I were pregnant I'd have other signs, like metallic taste, sore or itchy or tingling boobs...

It really helps to vent on MN and find other women in the same boat. Let's hope the cramping we've both been experiencing is a positive sign. I've certainly never had it before and it's definitely not as severe as my AF pains.

My AF is also due on Fri/Sat but I'm planning to test on Thur because I can't hold out any longer than then. It's good you'll be going away for the wkend - that will be a great distraction. Do you have any children already or are you ttc #1? We're trying for our first which makes the symptom spotting even harder because I've got no past experiences for comparison.

af is due

Hello Golden. I am on 2ww. AF due on Friday/sat. I am also driving myself mad wondering if the cramping / stabbing pains I've been having on and off all week are implantation... It is a nightmare. I Am so desperate to take my mind off it that me and DH are going to Slovenia for the weekend.
