WTTC Apr/May/Jun Graduation thread

Hey, this is a thread for all the graduates from the Waiting to TTC thread who are going to start trying April/May/June. We've all got to know each other too well to just bugger off on our separate ways now! And if any of the Waiting crew who are still waiting want to pop by there will always be cups of tea (or something stronger) for you!

So, grab your folic acid and your sexy undies and get comfy (possibly with your legs in the air...?)

Cakes Might have a go at the at the weekend.

Healthy eating cakes - anything with apples pls.

melliebobs · 18/04/2011 14:57

Ooooo that sounds nom! Might be something to have a go at this weekend. Making copius amounts of banana loaf tonight for a team away day I've got tomorrow which isn't going to be fun so at least there'll be some good treats there and of course if has one of your five a day in it! Lol.

Know what you mean about the healthy eating! Every weeks a new start I get to Thursday n can't be bothered. And to think I work in a healthy lifestyle team! Didnt help that someone had brought doughnuts into the office and had cracked into them at ten! I'm the opposite though. I crave savourie things recently. Especially prawn cocktail crisps n they are RANK!!! controlled myself so far today. Got me big bottle of juice on me and suppin on that when I want to nibble defiantly helps! It's just times like this when my patients don't turn up n I have a hour to kill I get bored n snack. Bin n done a 1.5 mile walk to kill the time n keep me busy.

The cake was easy - just a basic choc sponge 4/4/4/2 with 2 tbsp of cocoa powder then i chopped up a 100g bar of choc and mixed it in. The sauce is easy and if you make it thicker you can have it as choc fudge icing as well. (bear in mind I make this by eye so I'm just guessing the quantities - taste as you go and adjust the ingredients to make it more as you want it)

3 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp butter
milk

put everything except the milk in a bowl or jug and microwave for 20 or 30 sec till the butter melts. Stir vigorously and add milk until it's the right amount of runny :-)

Also nice on ice cream or in sundaes.

And yes, I got a couple of pieces ;-)

I keep trying to make myself eat healthily, but I'm so tired it's making me queasy and all I want is sweet things.

Lol! The gym is far to much energy for me on a Sunday. DD is my gym even at 6yrs old. She seems soo grown up already. Scary to think she'll be almost 7 when this bambino makes an entrance!

melliebobs · 17/04/2011 14:23

I'm a bit miffed I got up to watch it cos it didn't finish before I had to leave for the gym so ended up recording it n e way! Grrrr could have had an extra few hours in bed!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 17/04/2011 13:26

Mellie Good to see your feeling better. We got up to watch the F1 can't believe button came 4th grrr made DP happy as Lewis came 1st.

Been to the in-laws today just watching the London Marathon now and hoping DD finishes her dinner without a fuss. Will be soo chuffed if she does.

melliebobs · 17/04/2011 13:20

A much better day today. Got up early to watch the F1, bin the gym and done 2 spinning classes, done the big shop. Now I'm going to make some chocolate chip cookies :)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 16/04/2011 14:30

Mellie Don't sit and wallow on your own. I'm sat next to DD who's asleep in my bed after having a very busy morning doing her stage school play. Tempted to fall asleep to but keep needing to pee :(

melliebobs · 16/04/2011 13:58

Having been on the pill 8 years i kinda forgot how bad this time of the month was when i was 18 :( dh out for the day so i can st in my pj's, wallow n moan on my own and hopefully feel more human by the time he gets back! lol

hey biccies i know what you think me and dh are swi but not swi intent if you get my drift It's as if we are both trying to double bluff my body becuase we both were like 'lets take it as it comes, not to get obsessed by it with charts and graphs etc'! i've recently come off the pill so don't really know what day my af should be here (im guessing sunday) and now its gettingcloser and closer to then that anything no matter how slight it is i'm like 'oooooh that could be a symptom' anything from i fell up the stairs once (apparantly some old wives tale), low level nausea (probably me now getting stressed!) absolute shattardness and eating like a bloomin horse (which is more that i saved all my xmas chocolate till after our wedding and now it's over i've got a massive stash of goodies and once you start. well!). So yer basically getting a lil obsessed, although i prefer excited, which is what i said i wouldn't do!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 13/04/2011 11:47

Well I don;t drink alcohol anyway and tea and coffee only rarely, so not that much of a sacrifice!

OP posts:
Biccies · 13/04/2011 11:39

Are you not drinking cos cos of TTC? That's very good of you!! We're only half trying at the moment and I'm still drinking wine/beer/you name it. I'm kind of hoping that if I got a BFP I'd go off it and stopping wouldn't be a problem...
I've kind of made myself sound like a bit of an alki, but when it's hot, and people offer you pimms.... what are you meant to do?!!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 13/04/2011 11:20

Typical. I almost never drink coffee. I like it, but am just not bothered enough to make the effort to make it or pay for it. Now I've started TTC all I want is coffee. Coffee coffee coffee. Want. Bah.

Hey everyone, I totally don't get the "bus" thing either. why's it a bus? can't we have a train or a rollercoaster?
Me and DH had a little "accident" a week or so ago after one too many drinks, and now I'm symptom spotting like mad! I always said I wouldn't get obsessive but it's already happened!! AF not not regular yet after coming off the pill, so I don't even have a definite date to wait for. I'm fairly sure I'm not PG, but it's difficult not to wonder.... Is that the same situation you're in Darciesmum?

ShaggingWithIntent · 13/04/2011 09:20

January "bus"

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 12/04/2011 19:49

It won't let me click on your name - but seriously... 'bus'?

OP posts:
ShaggingWithIntent · 12/04/2011 19:21

Ahhhhh that's do cute! Bless him. My DH never buys flowers but he has been known to buy me charms for my links bracelet. I anticipate a stork charm in the near future!!

He's also been talking about taking me shopping this weekend as he just got paid a good bonus (2.5x my salary!!!) he's also been asking about the shoes I've had on my wish list for about 2 years!!! He really spoils me, I'm really lucky :)

The bus is the Jan one. If you click on my name and look for the topics I'm on it should take you there. X

melliebobs · 12/04/2011 19:16

Nowt wrong with the January bus! AF due Sunday and I do and I don't want it to turn up. Baby by the end of the year (possibly) YEY! but then a December child! DH is a Xmas baby (Xmas eve) and he hates it. Every year I get the tales of

Birthday presents wrapped in Christmas paper but inside out so just the plain side shows
Getting half a five pound note in a birthday card n the other half on Xmas day in an Xmas card
Friends from school NEVER being able to come to his birthday party
AND one year his mum booked him a birthday party at Megabowl. Apart from they couldn't do a birthday party. Just a Christmas party. So he had Santa turn up so he threw a strop that it was his birthday not Christmas, hit Santa and sulked for the rest of the day!
