I'm on my third go at IUI Griselda but my first go was cancelled before we got to the insemination bit due to lack of response. I did 6 months of Clomid before that though.

Do you know what problems you are up against yet? Best of luck and well done for getting the ball rolling. I really hope it's something simple to put right. PM me anytime if you want to know more or hunt me down on the BESH threads.

PatientGriselda · 05/04/2011 12:28

What are you taking, bb? My referral is somewhere between my GP and the hospital at the moment, and hopefully will result in a fabulous hormone cocktail avec un cherry on top.

BarbiesBeaver · 05/04/2011 12:17

After nearly three years I don't think relaxing and screwing in every room is going to help my crap eggs work somehow or stop me miscarrying. Lots of hormones injected into me might help a bit.

piratecat · 04/04/2011 23:19

not sure, but i guess you just have to believe lol!

cherrychoo · 04/04/2011 22:13

magic would be good.
Does magic come with a fast forward button then?

Hmmm???

Still tapping that foot and swearing under ones breath......

I'm technically on a holiday now. Two weeks carefully timed to minimise stress during the 'relevant period'. Work had the cheek to ask me for contact details for where I am staying "in case of an emergency"! Needless to say, they didn't get them.

PatientGriselda · 04/04/2011 17:30

I am in the middle of booking a holiday right now. Though part of me is busy reminding myself of all rhe stories I've read about people who "gave up trying and went on holiday to forget about it" and then came home pregnant.

joycep · 04/04/2011 11:30

I'm with LankyLegs about spending the money on going away. I had read so many positive stories about acupuncture and women falling pregnant left right and centre with a course of acu and I was very positive about it and desperate.... Yes it is relaxing and I felt like I was taking control of ttc but all I wanted was one extra day on my LP but now in month 3 it hasn't done anything apart from haemorrhage £50 every other week. I don't want to give it up though just in case i'm being inpatient.

I'm just getting emotionally exhausted by ttc now...as I walked through the park this morning to work I saw all the ducks preparing their nests for their offspring and remembered last year when they were doing this and thinking when I next see them do that I hopefully will be at least pregnant. It sucks that even the ducks are more fertile than me.

LankyLegs · 04/04/2011 10:16

Yep it does.. We have all been there and I did feel positive at the time, but am now considering jacking in all vitamins, temp taking, fecking mucus checking etc etc. Shitty period arrived this morning so feeling really pissed off about it but also in some ways I totally am becoming so blase about it all!

Just trying to focus on the fact the Spring is in the air and we can do whatever we want with our weekends and evenings (whilst drinking copious amounts of course) cause we don't have screaming babies yet. But of course... would give all that up very happily!

I wish someone would just say 'On this day you will get pregnant. Now go and get on with your life'......

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 04/04/2011 10:15

Oh, can I join too. Waited 18 months to conceive dd. Now have been almost 2 1/2 years for no. 2. This is 4 years of my life spent obsessing about trying to get pregnant. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

cherrychoo · 04/04/2011 10:10

yup, you are right.

but desperation makes your normally sensible functioning brain think silly things doesnt it Grin

Cherry go and spend the money you would have done on accupunture on a nice weekend away. Trust me I had 3 months of the stuff at £55 a pop and it didn't do anything (other than manke me feel like I was doing something towards TTC). A lot of good that did!

fledtoscotland · 03/04/2011 20:59

I had considered acupuncture and have had reiki. I know in Glasgow there is a acupuncture clinic that specialize in infertility so will heading that way if no joy at the consultant.

BenignNeglect · 03/04/2011 20:51

Apparently it makes you feel pretty good if nothing else. Not sure I buy it though.

cherrychoo · 03/04/2011 20:46

some one suggested acupuncture......what do you think? craptrap or worth a go?

OP posts:
fledtoscotland · 03/04/2011 20:42

Can I join you all?

We have been TTC #3 since january 2009 (properly making an effort to DTD at the right time, charting etc since June 2009), I fell pregnant on cycle 4 with DS1, we werent trying with DS2 who was born 11months after DS1.

GP has checked my bloods which are normal and DHs sample has come back ok. I have been getting positive OPC every month day 15 and cycle is regular as clockwork. We make sure we are DTD every 2-3 days from about day 9 of my cycle right through to day 25 which pretty much covers my fertile period.

Next step - been referred to Gyn as I only have one fallopian tube & ovary and GP thinks I have bowel adhesions from prev surgery.

aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - why am I not pregnant??????

thankyou for starting this thread as its given me a chance to vent.

Ruthie32 · 03/04/2011 19:05

Benign - we got a cat a few months ago too!
I'm seeing my new doctor on Friday and will be asking for an appointment for me and the husband to go together and start to get tested.
