That's great olis! well done you!

bump I've put it in and taken it out for a practice and it's actually much easier than I expected! Don't know how I'll manage when it's full though!

Waves to Tokyo, how frustrating! Have you done a pg test just in case? I'm holding off till I'm actually late (af due Monday), I think day 24 is the latest I've ever got to without testing so I'm doing well so far!

Any news from collie?

Tokyotwist · 04/05/2011 14:49

Hi,

I've been away from the thread for a while and haven't posted in ages. Just wanted to pop in and say hello and how are you all doing?

CD 42 for me and still no sign of either AF or a +OPK. I have never had a cycle this long (max was about 38 days before MC). Sods law when I'm actually trying, nothing is happening.

Oh well, I guess I just have to keep pretending I'm not bothered and not thinking about it 24/7 Grin.

CEP Good luck with you scan And Congratulations Bump.

Apologies, but I've missed too much to read the whole thread. So big wave to everyone instead.

Bumpwanted · 04/05/2011 14:39

Melies I too had to look up what one was...do you think you should maybe practice with water first!? I know I would spill it everywhere!!!!!

SO the pains have been on and off since about 11am. Currently off although am sat with a hot water bottle on my lap. Just did another first response and the line is not as dark as the test line but def darker than when I did it two days ago....that is good right?

God I wish I could fast forward to a month's time!

Thanks for all your well wishes. I have been having a little lurk in freak out and it is reassuring to see lots of people have had cramps and been ok. Guess its just the last MC which scares me so much as it was the same.

I think I need happy news for a distraction. When are people testing? I want to hear someone has a BFP please!

meliesmummy · 04/05/2011 13:13

Good luck for scans Cep and collie!

Hope you're ok bump.

Well the mooncups here so I'm ready for the inevitable af on Monday!

Loup23 · 04/05/2011 13:09

Good luck collie2 let us know how it goes! And Fx for bump really hope this one sticks and that cramps are just the bean settling in, I think once you have mc once you're even more conscious of it happening again... I know i will be, I'm thinking positive thoughts.

mels keeping everything crossed for you too, hope AF stays away.

cep good luck for the scan.

Waves to all xx

Collie2 · 04/05/2011 10:34

Hello everyone!!

bump that's fantastic news, congrats sweet! Totally understandable that you're scared, but feel free to pop in on the freak out thread for reassurances if you want to xx

mels fx for you this month. I love the strop yesterday- I'd prefer to think of it as the pg rage monster rather than pms!! Grin hoping this is your month, got a bean bag in the freak out room with your name on it!
lily hello, how are you doing? You're on the 2ww I see.

Hadrian how are you doing?

Hope everyone else is ok, sorry for not catching up properly, but there's so much to catch up on after a week away!

Private scan today- shoukd be roughly 10+5. Petrified!!

Bumpwanted · 04/05/2011 10:26

Morning ladies

Great news Minnie I am so pleased for you. 7 + 5 seems like a million miles away for me at the mo!

Cep so annoying about the scan. Really looking forward to hearing lovely news from you tomorrow though.

Mel pms signs are very smiliar to pregnancy signs so don't be disheartened yet!

I'm not going to go on a BFP list for a mo if that's ok. I know it seems mad as I've had a BFP but I don't think its going to be that way for long and then I don't want to have to be removed from the list! I really don't have a good feeling at the mo as I had awful period pains yesterday at work. I ended up going home even though I had loads to do and led on the sofa all night with my feet up (my Mum told me last time around gravity helps!! no idea if that's true!). I slept ok but have had a few pains again this morning although over in a matter of seconds. I just feel like its all starting again like last time. I'm ok if lying down and still but the minute i do anything strenuous my tummy doesn't seem to like it. I just wanted to get over the next 10 days and see the clear blue go up as it didn't last time...

xxxx

cep · 04/05/2011 09:45

mel tomorrow afternoon. ironic really as at the hosp with ds for his ears today, so have to go back tomorrow. there were no spaces for today.

keeping fx that it's not pms

Fab news Minnie Grin

OP posts:
Minnie74 · 03/05/2011 20:41

Hi

Just popped into say i had a scan today which showed a little bean with a heartbeat! Excited yet absolutely terrified. I'm now 7 +5 according to scan so lots more mentalling to do I'm sure!

bump congrats on the bfp. fx for a healthy sticky 9 months. See you in the freak out room!

oli CBFM worked for us both times. Once you get a peak it automatically gives another and then one high and some lows. So after the first high i used to use an old stick to save having to buy more! good luck x

Good luck to everyone and fx for loads more bfps- the freak out room beanbags are pretty comfy when you pop across!

Loup23 · 03/05/2011 19:59

So pleased for you bump hopefully then SWI over the peak days will do the trick..... olismum are you using a clear blue fertility monitor? There's a great forum thread under CBFM Buddies Vol6 where the ladies know all about lows, highs and peaks etc! Is this your first month using it? If you cycle is usually 30 - 33 then a peak should come along shortly and you might only get 1 or 2 days high (i'm the other way round, usually get endless days of high before a peak). Anyway fx a high comes along (followed by a peak!) x

meliesmummy · 03/05/2011 16:48

bump it's been removed now so mn must agree it was out of order. It wound me up but I think I was too harsh in my reply, feeling a bit bad about it now. The threads still there if any of you want to read it and see if I was? Think I've got pmty grumps today :(

OP posts:
stitchinline · 03/05/2011 16:28

hehe bump I was actually tempted to suggest it but DH already thinks I'm a bit obsessed, if I suggested that he might totally freak out :o

Bumpwanted · 03/05/2011 16:10

Thanks everyone! Have had period pains this afternoon so am freaking out. I think its going to end badly like last time as the pains weren't bad up until now but its getting worse Sad Nothing I can do to stop it though so guess I will just have to wait and see. AT least if it all goes wrong this time I won't have had a BFP for long.

Mel I would be annoyed too. Its not a place for them to advertise even in a back handed manner like that. Mumsnet should take it down.

Cep hope the scan goes well. I am sure it will but totally understand the cramps freaking you out.

Stitch what a pain with your husband travelling! You should have made him leave a bit in a cup on ice!! Wink

xx

stitchinline · 03/05/2011 15:41

Just adding myself to the stats

Meliesmummy ttc #2 cycle 3 cd 23 ucl 28
Lily06 ttc#1 cycle 4 cd 20 ucl 28
Olismum23 ttc#2 cycle 3 cd 15 ucl 30-33
Loup23 ttc#1 cycle 4 cd 14, ucl 33ish!
Stitchinline ttc#1 cycle 3 cd 22 ucl 33

Think we missed the boat this month as DH left for his trip wednesday and still haven't got a smiley face yet on the CB digi. - so any residual would be well and truly useless by now. Assuming I will tonight / tomorrow but the CP could have put my cycles all out again.

bump congrats on the BFP, fx it's a sticky

cep · 03/05/2011 14:24

lily hiya, not too bad, started getting weird cramps on sunday so obviously now worrying about thursdays scan. however i also think i felt a bit of movement yesterday (at least i didn't trump afterwards anyway. Blush) my bv has come back so i'm wondering if pains are linked to that somehow. I have an appt to see dr to get more cream so hopefully that'll sort it. I've been a bit quiet on here as haven't wanted to keep coming on complaining. how are you?

mel see what you mean, just went to have a look. like lily said at least they were upfront about who they were, but as you weren't after the official line just a personal opinion i can understand you being annoyed.

lily06 · 03/05/2011 14:18

Cep, how's things?

Mel, I wouldn't be impressed either - hardly the kind of feedback you were after. I suppose at least they were honest about who they were when they posted. It does seem very expensive tbh.

cep · 03/05/2011 14:16

bump that's great news so so pleased for you.

mel welldone on not buying tests yet hon, and so pleased your cycles seem to have finally sorted itself out. keeping fx for that bfp. I'd be annoyed as well, you were asking peoples opinion not for a advert. (£500 seems a heck of a lot.)

meliesmummy · 03/05/2011 13:44

bump you could be me! We dtd almost daily apart from the day before the :), then we did it the day I got the :) and the day after...it worked for you si fx for me then!

I'm slightly annoyed...I started a thread about the new fertility monitor in Boots, dont know if any of you saw it on tv last week but it measures your temp hundreds of times a day to predict fertility and costs £500 (no that's not a typo!) just asking what people thought on here. Anyway, the manufacturer has turned it into an advert for the product! Am I being a bit precious here or should this be a forum for people having trouble conceiving, shouldn't we be safe from this kind of thing?! You don't see clearblue on here selling tests do you??!! I've reported it, am I overreacting?

OP posts:
Bumpwanted · 03/05/2011 13:34

I tested this morning. I am not sure if I was due on yest. or I am due on Thursday...my period i tracker thingy on my phone has been a bit odd since the MC so I am unsure if I should believe that or mumsnet which said I would get my period yesterday.

I did a first response and the line was pretty faint and then a clear blue digital which said 1-2 weeks so its very early days so I suspect I am still in the pre-period zone.

We were a bit off with the SWI. Did it loads leading up to ovulation and were then exhausted and had actually discussed the fact that we messed up and hadn't done it at the right time. We'd done it 3 out of 4 days in the lead up to the smiley face, then the day I got the smiley face (but we hadn't done it the day before) and that was it. We were all SWI out by smiley face day and so whilst we planned to do it the day after, neither of us felt remotely like it!

xx

Loup23 · 03/05/2011 12:23

Yay bump brilliant news, Fx for sticky bean and hope I (and others) join you soon. What day did you test? And, excuse the request for information but did you just SWI all over the smiley face time?! I'm worried I might leave it too late this month..... x

Congrats, bump, that's great news. Its perfectly understandable to feel how you do at the moment, I will be just the same.

Mel I'm impressed at the restraint!

Olis I've never used a monitor, so I'm not sure how reliable they are - I haven't got one because it would give me one more thing to worry about!!
