Welcome to mummytobelizz sorry for your loss, hope you get lots of support in RL, this thread is a great support.

Any news lily? Was CD26 too early? I hope so and I hope AF stays away. Glad to hear you're doing ok melies you've educated me with the mooncup! If my AF comes this month I think I might invest in one, I'd never heard of them before!

hadrian how are you getting on? Hope symptoms are coming and going for you!

olis good luck for the weigh in, a pound is still a pound and it's the right direction!

bump how are you doing? I hope the pain is easing up, do you see your dr this Friday? Hope it goes well.

I am on 4 or 5 dpo (probably 4) and for some reason am feeling positive this month.... last month I was sure it was a BFN but this month just feels different, no idea why. Only possible symptom I have is bigger boobs (which I get after O anyway) and lots of cm (not sure if that's a good sign but the month I got a BFP I also had lots of cm so Fx). Anyway I don't have any tests at home so am going to stay away from Boots until mid next week I hope! Fx for all those on the 2ww or waiting for O day x

meliesmummy · 11/05/2011 11:10

Hi everyone! Quiet here today. How is everyone? I'm ok apart from the period pain, although this month doesn't compare to last month, I have been able to leave the house this time! And I'm loving the mooncup...I actually had a bath last night with no mess at all, normally during my period baths are a big no which is annoying because they help so much with the pain. I was very always sceptical about mooncups when people recommended them but I take it all back!

Are you going to test again this month lily?

How are you bump?

blackkat dh had a sperm analysis when I had the scan, he had a good count but slightly abnormal morphology and some clumping so he started on vit c and he was meant to go back but then I got pg so he didn't and now he thinks that because I did they won't retest him so he doesn't want to ask. I might work on that though!

Hi to everyone else, sorry for not name checking but I worked last night and need to catch up on everything!

Morning all,
weight loss slow this week only 1lb weigh in tomorrow but dont think it will change much.Lily the monitor has been rubbish for me all lows got so down using it so not going to anymore just temping. If you PM me with your address you can have mine as i no longer need it. I have heard others use it with great success.
melies I feel so similar to you and lily but i do feel that it will happen again thats after 27 months of trying! I feel down most days but i think it will happen.
hadrian when i was pg with DS i had no symptoms for 6 weeks because i had no idea i was pregnant till then, try not to worry.

Blackkat · 10/05/2011 10:17

Mel and Lily so sorry to hear that you are having such tough times Sad. I know how demoralising and devastating it is to be on such a long journey, I'm sure you'll remember me saying that it took us 3 1/2 years to get our first BFP. Looking back now, we didn't get enough help. Yes we had great medical help from our GP and a fantastic consultant. But we both needed to talk to someone about the fact we felt that our lives were on hold and that all our friends were leaving us behind. I will never ever forget the despair that I felt (and still do feel sometimes). Please remember that however tough it is, and I know it is, people really do understand. ((((hugs)))

lily I can't remember, are you being monitored each month for the Clomid? Good luck with it, sometimes it takes a few months to kick in (I got BFP on month 6)

mel well worth getting some tests lined up at the doctors. I'm sure your friendly (FX) GP will be willing to test you for your Day 21 progesterone level - remember that this test needs to be done 7DPO so hang out for the right date for you if you know your cycle. Anything above 30 means you're definitely ovulating though I've been told a higher figure is better ( I finally got to 50 on Clomid after being 1 naturally!). The next tests would be DH swimmers, (easy he just gets given a jar and has to keep it warm for 30 mins until it's handed over at the surgery!). If those tests come back ok then you might have to be prepared for the medics to suggest that you need to give it some more time. Have experience of the next level of tests which are far more invasive but will save that unless you need to go there.

Hadrian repeat, symptoms come and go! I've not had many at all, had far more with my MMC. Trying not to stress, it's not easy is it??
Early scan (t'other thread) sounds like a good idea. Pay. You will be seen more quickly and won't have to sit in a waiting room with preggers chavs. Or walk past them smoking outside the hospital. Bitter, moi??

Bump how're you going?? Have you seen GP yet?

Olis how are you, still so impressed by your weight loss regime!!

to Collie (wow where did those 3 months go?? Grin) and Cep

Chloe huge hugs to you if you're reading/lurking.

Mummytobelizz so sorry to read your news, Sad. This really is a great place to be.

Right, better do some work!

hadrian · 09/05/2011 22:49

Tell me about it lily - before I started TTC I thought it was the most straightforward thing in the world to have a baby. How naive I was to think that I'd just come off the pill and a few months later there'd be a bun in the oven. I often catch myself wishing I hadn't left it so late but then I tell myself that there's no point thinking like that as there's nothing I can do about it now - it's a totally redundant thought that serves no purpose except to make me more miserable!

Sorry to hear you don't think this is the month for you...although CD26 is pretty early isn't it?

How are you doing today melies?

lily06 · 09/05/2011 21:43

Mel I changed hospital after seeing a useless consultant after my ectopic, and have seen four different ones at the new hospital. I'm currently on Clomid (3rd month) because my day 21 progesterone levels are very low - going back in June to see if there's any progress. I'm also on bromocriptine (1st month) because my prolactin levels are high. I'm not sure if the rules are different between different local authorities, but I didn't have to wait for 3 x mc or for 12 months ttc to go for the tests etc. I felt really positive after seeing a new consultant last month but the optimism has worn off now. I feel so stupid for leaving it so long before ttc, I kept thinking maybe next year etc and just assumed I would start ttc and have a baby 9 months later.

meliesmummy · 09/05/2011 21:23

Thanks lily, I'm feeling down about it all too. Have you had any tests done as you've been trying for so long? I had a scan in dec (actually the month I got pg) which was fine. If nothing happens this month I think I'll ask for bloods, although they might send me packing as I did have a pregnancy this year.

Hello mummytobe, come and chat as you want.

Dont worry about no symptoms Hadrian, it's such early days yet but I can understand your fear. Good luck with epu x

Evening ladies,

Welcome, Mummytobe, sorry you find yourself here but do rest assured we're all with you and know what you're going through. Feel free to rant, cry, moan, do whatever you need to do.

Hadrian sorry you're having such a hard time, hope the epu can reassure you. Oh for the bliss others have of being pg without having experience mc.

Bump hope your GP can help, and find out what is causing you so much pain.

Mel hang in there, it will be your turn soon, I just know it. And bump is so right about sibling gaps. There's only 2 years between me and my sister but we never got on when we lived at home and since then we went 2 years without speaking and even now just a few times a year on the phone. My best friend is 8 years younger than her brother and they are really close, he's always looking out for her. I guess we've all got a picture of what we want and its really hard when life just doesn't want to play along.

Oli what kind of monitor do you have? Do you find it helps? Considering using one next month just to see if it sheds some light on things.

Cep really pleased to read your good scan news, how are you feeling now?

Collie hope you had a great weekend, glad your scan went well

Blackkat hows things? Hope all is well with you

Nothing good to report here - I was going to wait until CD29 to test, but caved in today on cd26. Wish I hadn't - BFN. Now its just a waiting game until AF and start again. This month it will be 2 years since we decided to start TTC. Since then I've had one ectopic and one mc and somehow just can't believe I'm ever going to have a family.

hadrian · 09/05/2011 20:33

Welcome mummytobelizz and so sorry for your loss. This is a good place to be under the circumstances and all the ladies here understand what you are going through. I lost my baby at 8 weeks in December after seeing the heartbeat and it was such a desperately sad time. It does get better I promise.

I'm pg again now - 6+4 today - and totally convinced it's going to happen all over again. All my symptoms have disappeared and I don't feel pg at all any more Sad. I think I'm going to call the EPU in the morning to see if I can persuade them to give me a scan.

bump I'm sorry to hear you're in pain. I've had the dragging feeling too which I thought might be a good sign - but I've also had back cramps which I'm not too keen on at all. But then I'm a nervous wreck so it's no use listening to me!

olismum23 · 09/05/2011 19:58

Sorry for your loss mummytobelizz
I also went through a very similar loss in Feb saw my angels heartbeat at 5weeks 5 days too only to lose her at 6 and 2 if you every want to talk please feel free to PM me.

MummytobeLizz · 09/05/2011 19:47

Evening all...

Just moved across from the bleeding in 1st trimester thread. Was confirmed this morning that DH and I have lost our 'Emmy' (Embryo) at 6 weeks 3 days. Made so much harder by the fact we had a scan done at 5weeks 5 days because of bleeding and saw Emmy's heart beating.

Although only ever an embryo, we will never forget our first little life we made together. Am obviously an emotional wreck at the moment but we both definitely want to ttc once everything has settled down.

Cramps hurt like hell and my brain is fried.

x

Bumpwanted · 09/05/2011 12:25

Thanks Melies I am going on Friday. I have had a UTI before though and its a different pain to this. This is very much like bad period pains in my tummy and back and a dragging session if that makes sense!?

meliesmummy · 09/05/2011 12:15

bump have you been to your gp about the pain? Maybe it's a uti and you need antibiotics, it's better to be safe x

OP posts:
Bumpwanted · 09/05/2011 11:13

Morning ladies

Have been keeping a low profile as I have been in a huge amount of pain on and off and I can't possibly believe it can be normal so everytime I go to the loo I am just waiting to see blood Sad. On a positive note the CB test went up to 2-3 weeks and I never got that far last time. I'm 5 weeks today so even if this ends with a MC again I've got a little bit further.

Am trying to stay positive but when the pain hits it builds up to such a climas for 2-3 minutes that all I can do is cry and try not to scream. Then it goes away. Have had it every other night and some smaller pains during the day. I had this last time but I didn't get this far before I started to bleed. I guess every extra day I make it is a bonus...

Melies so so sorry you are feeling down hun. I think its really positive though that your cycle this month has gone back to normal. Its good for you to see that happen after a MC as hard as it is. Please please don't worry about your little girl and having a huge age gap with a sibling - I am sure it won't come to that anyway but there is a 10 year age gap with me and my sibling and we are so so close and always have been. I have no doubt your little girl won't have that gap with her sibling but just know a gap of a few years does not mean its not still lovely for the brothers/sisters and that they will still be close.

Loup good luck with your 2ww hun. I really hope you get a BFP.

Cep hope you're well after your fab scan!

Olis good to see the temps are going the right way!

Hi to Hadrian Collie and everyone else

mel sweetie you're allowed naughty every now and then. (nows more often in my household.) We're going to peppa pig world on the 23rd for ds's birthday. My friends just been she said it was fantastic.

meliesmummy · 08/05/2011 19:46

Thanks everyone. I'm consoling myself with a glass of Wine whilst dh fetches a mcdonalds (naughty I know!). I'm trying to feel a bit more positive, we're going camping next weekend and at least I won't feel sick and can take dd on all the rides at peppa pig world.

That sounds positive olis. loup to be honest I'm not sure about the cbfm, it's a lot of money and I would need to start on day 1 wouldn't I? Which means that I would need to order it a few days before, when I wouldn't know if I was pg that month or not, iykwim. Plus we dtd most days or at least every other around the right time anyway so im not sure it would tell me more than the ov sticks.

Hope you had a fab weekend away collie!

olismum23 · 08/05/2011 11:28

Im really sorry melies I really thought this was your month :(

Still low on my monitor but i had ewcm last night and dtd anyhow temp way up compared to yesterday 35.4? to today 36.36 so a wee bit happier about that. :).

hadrian · 08/05/2011 10:30

Giant for melies. When AF arrived after my first proper cycle after MC I cried all day. DH kept telling me I was being irrational and that 'it will happen when it happens' but I was inconsolable. I felt better the next day and decided to try not to obssess about TTC quite so much as I was really feeling the strain. Can you treat yourself to something lovely?

cep · 08/05/2011 09:15

mel im sorry af is here and your feeling so low. It might be a good idea to have a break away from here and relax like chloe is at the moment spend a little time as you say relaxing and enjoying your dd having a few drinks, might help. It is really demotivating and depressing when it takes so long, especially if the first time is really quick. >

Loup23 · 08/05/2011 08:33

Oh melies I'm so sorry af has arrived, its so frustrating all the not knowing each month....... I really would recommend the cbfm if you're not already using it. I hope you are getting support in RL. Good luch and big hugs x

CollieandPup · 08/05/2011 08:31

Oh mels ((huge big squishy hug)) I understand how you must be feeling but please try not to give up hope. A year is a long time I know but you've been unlucky enough to have mc a pg in that time, which really prolongs the time you've been ttc. I know it's frustrating but a few people have experienced messed up cycles after their mc, futher prolonging ttc. This is really only your first proper cycle after your mc. I know that's really not helpful, but please try to take some reassuance from it. I understand know dearly you want it to happen, and it will, I know it. Taking a back seat from ttc though, might not be the worst idea though, it really does take over your life. Chloe seems so much happier these days. Also, maybe pop onto the common room thread. yrmotb took a back seat for a couple of months- no temping or opking, just regular swi- and it got her a bfp. Ask her about it maybe?

I'm so Sad you're feeling so Sad I you're wrong about this month, but you know your body. Xxx

sorry to not catch up with everyone else (again) Blush I'm actually in Belfast with friends and I'm just lurking whilst they're asleep, but just couldn't not post for mels. Proper catch up next week xx

meliesmummy · 08/05/2011 05:04

Ignore last message, pink cm now so no need to test. :( I feel like giving up, I can't take this stress every month, I feel so :( but maybe if we stop trying we can enjoy what we have and focus on dd.

OP posts:
meliesmummy · 07/05/2011 21:42

Good luck with the GP olis, and good luck not testing loup!

It's still early days Hadrian, I didn't get nausea till 5+ weeks with dd and I didn't throw up unless I was exhausted.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up. The brown cm has stopped now, and there was only a few tiny bits, they were very very pale brown so maybe it doesn't mean af?! I would expect proper dark brown gunk by now...and my boobs feel sort of painful in a stabby way?! Its strange and I really don't want to get my hopes up. Im not sure whether to do a test when I get up tomorrow afternoon or just wait and see, any thoughts? I've got a few Internet cheapies and a cb digi in the house, which should I use?
