melies are you in the wtf? How long after your mc are you?

Youremindmeofthebabe · 30/03/2011 09:02

Morning all.

brooke your friend really isn't thinking, is she. I think people think that you just get over it, like that. When really it's not the case at all.

melies I've been thinking ofd having some reflexology, although I may have to wait til after my hols money wise. Let me know how it goes.

cep and collie How's it going in the BFP corner?

really it does get easier.Really. And hopefully you won't have to deal with too much feeling left behind, cos that sucks.

mumtum congratulations! and at 8 dpo, that's very good.

chloe whens the appt, Monday? Any more bleeding since?

Collie2 · 30/03/2011 08:59

sorry about the bfn mels how many dpo should you be? So annoying that you don't know what's going on, how strange that it could have been AF. Glad that your feeling upbeat about the reflexology. Hope it works for you. X

meliesmummy · 30/03/2011 08:34

Big congratulations to mumtum!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin!!!!! when is your wedding again? Must be loads of hormone around for you so early...twins??!! Grin!

Dont worry about tmi really, we've all done it!

Your friend sounds very insensitive Brooke, did she know about the mc?

Glad your night was better Cep, I second what collie said about doing whatever works.

Bfn here this morning (fmu this time). I think that I might have to accept that I've just finished a very light and strange af. :(. But on the plus side the Reflexologist is happy to treat me, he doesn't treat pg women for insurance reasons but he treats women having ivf and thinks it will help me.

Collie2 · 30/03/2011 08:18

cep Your dream sounds awful. Seems that it's quite comon to have mc dreams, I hope not. Sad dreams are so distresssing, they can sometimes set my mood for the day. So glad you managed to get a decent nights sleep and ds slept through. I wouldn't worry too much about what time he is going to bed, it's more important to make sure he's getting a full night and not walking up too early and making the whole family shattered. I'm pretty sure my SIL puts our dn to bed around the same time. They live to far for us to pop in on regulary, but she tends to be up when we are there at those times at the weekend. In fact I think sometimes it's later. You just need a routine that works for you and ds. (that's all rich advice from someone with ziltch experience Smile ) x

Brooke hope your feeling better this morning.

really don't be shy, ask away. Nothing is ever tmi.... But I'm not promising I'll have any useful advice.

Morning chloe mels harassed yrmotb and *blackkat hope you're all ok?

Wondering if Hadrian and wellie are lurking? Hope you're ok? And lily you too?! Xx

MumTumWanted · 30/03/2011 08:14

morning cep and any other early morning mners .... Glad to hear your ds slept a little better just think of the later night as a temp measure , small steps and all that to get him back to a full nights sleep....

me me me bit now, was thinking you would all be slapping me with them there haddocks when i posted later as im only 8 dpo and i poas. i did it was the one i had left from the cb digi from last month. Im now shaking as i type this. i got a BFP!!!!!!! 1-2 !!!!!!!!!! OMG i can not beleive it !!! At 8 DPO !!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin had really bad heart burn last night ( only ever get when updiffed) and yesterday morning imagined thought i felt sick, last night and this morning exactly the same so i tested and OMG !!!!

[absolutely scared stiff emoticon too]

cep · 30/03/2011 07:36

morning all

brooke I assume she knows about the mc? sounds very insenstive of her, i'm sure she's excited but might have been better not to send you the pic.

collie glad the pains have gone. symptoms don't tend to come in till about the 6-7 weeks.

chloe how are you feeling today? have you started your work yet? can't remember when you said you started.

mel sounds good to me. (have to say in my first pg i had really bad wind.) i'm keeping everything crossed.

blackkat fx for you too sweet.

i had an absolutely horible dream last night. I basically passed the sac again like last time i was holding it and could see the baby and everything. woke up thinking i was trying to get over another mc, took me a few mins to remember that i hadn't.

On the plus side, ds slept through till 5:30 and i took him back to his room told him to wait till the sun comes up on his clock and he stayed in there, i think he actually went back to sleep for 30 mins or so. i do honestly think that 8:30 is too late for a 2yr 10 month old to be going to bed though, but don't want to start him waking up during the night again if he goes to bed too early. wish he'd come with a manual. Grin

Reallyusefulengine · 30/03/2011 00:02

BTW, I hope you all have strong morning stomachs. Just to warn you, I am still bleeding but heavier than before and may have to ask your opinion in the morning Blush

Sweet dreams everyone, thank you for the advice today, much treasured.

xxx

Reallyusefulengine · 29/03/2011 23:59

Big hugs brooke that is harsh. I would like to think that perhaps her pregnant (lucky her) hormones have sent her a bit loopy. For flips sake, do people not think? Have a good cry, always beneficial. Thinking of you. I agree with Collie, it is still very new.

Collie2 · 29/03/2011 22:51

Ohh Brooke (((hugs))) it is so unfair. I'm so sorry for you. You'd have thought your friend might have been a bit more sensitive than to send you a pic so soon. Have a good cry Brooke it's ok to. We've all been through it, it feels like shit I know. It's ok to feel the way you do, you have lost something so dear and special, and it's still so raw for you. Your friend is just a reminder of that loss at the moment. But it will slowly get easier I promise. So sorry for you Hun. Have a cuddle off your oh if he's there. Xx

brooke89 · 29/03/2011 22:31

wow lots to catch up on and im sooo tired so not going to attempt it tonight!

ive had worst day and need a little rant...

One of my really close friends is pregnant and we planned to get pregnant together, she told me one week after id MC she was pregnant and went for a scan today at 8 weeks and sent me through a little picture of her bean :( i was a mess after that its so unfair, im meant to be having my 12 week scan this week and its brought back loads of shitty emotions! Just wish i was pregnant still :( or AF to hurry up!

Hope everone is well xxxxxxxx

Collie2 · 29/03/2011 22:17

cep glad to hear your ok. sorry you're having a tough time at the moment. Glad you've got the week off though, i think its important to rest if you need to and not force yourself into work.

Chloe your body is being a right pain in the arse this month Grin i hope that its just tricking you and all is ok though. Hoping you'll be peeling off the VIP reserved sticker from your bean bag in the freak out room soon, its not the same in there with out you. You too mels

Glad you are going back to gp for a new referal chloe its about time you got the care you deserve and need.

harassed glad to see you back lovely, although so sad as well xxx Its was about 8-9 weeks after my mc that i started to feel like i had a bit of my old self back too. I hope its not so long this time for you and that you'll get another, stubborn sticky bean, very soon.

really No, i am afraid you are totally normal - or at least by our standards anyway. Grin i have been there too with pg friends. I found out about 2 weeks after my mc that a friend was pg and about 2/3 weeks behind. She lives across the road and have spent ever since avoiding her, even now, despite having another bfp.

blackkat so glad you popped in. I'm sorry RL is so busy, i hope your dad is ok. I hope your wrong about AF xx

gimme hi and welcome. Sorry for your loss. This is a lovely thread.

Nothing from me really, no symptoms still. Sharp pains have all but gone in stomach and back, cramping rarer now too. Still not sore boobs or anything though. poa cb digi again this morning though and it went up to 3+ weeks. (yay) was totally crapping it as had convinced self it wouldn't go up.

Have gp apt tomoz as need one b4 can see mw, so am going to run through all the pains i've had and the slight bit of bleeding i had and beg and pleed ask for a reassurance scan or hcg bloods at least. Hmm

meliesmummy · 29/03/2011 21:18

Hi blackkat it's good to see you. How is your dad? Glad work is taking your mind off the 2ww, I cant help obsessing thinking about it!

My plan is to do daily Internet cheapies until sat, then if no sign of af do a digi, if neg start opks again. Plus Reflexologist on thurs. I emailed him to ask about his non pg policy, he hasn't replied but I've found another clinic that does treat pg ladies but it's more expensive.

I'm off to bed, feeling really tired and I think I might have a mild stomach bug - ive got gripey pains and ahem, wind. Good night.

OP posts:
cep · 29/03/2011 20:45

really i think it always will to a certain degree. I think it will lessen over time, but you'll never forget.

blackkat hey good to see you. how's your dad?

bump glad to see you're ok. that lady on obem got to me last night, same as the one the other week who'd had loads of mc's. was so pleased for them when they finally got them.

Blackkat · 29/03/2011 20:31

Chloe Harassed Mel thanks for asking after me, still here, just about - RL keeps getting in the way (knackered emoticon). Work super busy!
Trying to do my best to forget what DPO I am Grin. Fully expecting a BFN. Sad At that point will likely bow out bcs I can't cope with more disappointment.

Harassed so sorry you're m/c again ((huge hugs))

chloe sorry to hear that hospital are still being sh*t - reflexology seems to be working well for me and easing the symptoms of PCOS (FX!)

Sorry not to have time to catch up with all cep sorry to hear DS still not sleeping and collie so sorry to hear about your nan ((big hugs))
Hope all well with everyone else.

reallyuseful your reaction is totally normal - fear not, you're not turning into a selfish person, TTC is tough if it doesn't happen quickly, and you have to be kind to yourself, and not beat yourself up, when all about you seem updiffed

Reallyusefulengine · 29/03/2011 19:37

And Harrassed, am so sorry you have been through this twice in such close succession. xx

Reallyusefulengine · 29/03/2011 19:20

Oh thank you, thank you.

I am relieved to know I'm not alone. I am so amazed by how profoundly sad I am - I had no idea it could feel this painful. It sounds like it takes a good while for it to subside. May I ask whether you think it will always make us sad, even after we all get our bfps?

Thank you for the hand holding. Couldn't do this without you. xxx

Bumpwanted · 29/03/2011 17:40

Hey girls

Been lurking the past week as have nothing exciting to report other than still waiting for 1st period post MC and can't wait to start TTC again and I have no advice being pretty new to this!

but reallyuseful I just wanted to add that you are completely normal to feel that way. I've had lots of friends who have been very upset over the years when they have seen other friends go on to have babies when they are struggling and now I am trying I am exactly the same. Irrational crying, jealous of pregnant celebrities, watching OBEM even though it does me no good!

I did hear one thing one of the people said on OBEM this week though and it did help - she'd gone through IVF and been trying for years and then had triplets. She said if you have to really wait for something then it really makes you appreciate it so much more when it happens and it feels even more wonderful. At the time I wanted to throw my shoe at the tv set but I am going to try and focus on that!!

xx

harassedinherpants · 29/03/2011 17:31

Oh yes, I was in Tesco on Sunday with my sunglasses on as every other woman was prg or had a new born. Must have looked an idiot, but was past caring!!

I was also wondering how blackkat is, hope all is ok.

chloe it's just fabulous, although can seem a little freaky at times! They use muscle testing to identify intolerances, deficiencies and illness, and can treat a virus unlike the doc. I'm currently taking a form of B6 called p5p as you get deficient in this as you get older, and yesterday she gave me some prenatal general vitamins. I'm a big fan as you can tell!

Chloe55 · 29/03/2011 17:24

harrassed I really like the look of that technique. Have been reading some comments from people who have tried and tested it and wonder if that's just what I need. Seems almost an alternative to counselling but by making your body do the work as such? There is a lady in my area, I might find out about prices and if I would be an ideal candidate. Thanks.

cep · 29/03/2011 17:12

reallyuseful it is totally normal to feel like that. i avoided one of my best friends who was due in jan, we'd had dc's #1 within a week of each other and had planned to have same age gaps between #2. however it took longe than normal to get pg and then i lost it. I also remember having to leave tesco's on a weekend shop cause there was just too many pg women.

hihp so sorry you're feeling low hon. hope you're getting lots of support.

chloe i would definately change hosps. make sure the one they give you monitors you. (saw that on another answer about clomid) hv should be calling me tomorrow, i really hope they have some great ides. although they're supposed to be coming round at some point.

mw was fine was the same i had althrough ds's and last pg. was nice she was asking if i was ok, and how i was doing etc.

Chloe55 · 29/03/2011 17:10

really I hate to say that I am still like that and it's 6 months on for me, like melie says I think I will prob feel that way til I get my BFP. Another friend text to say she was 14 weeks pg yesterday and my tummy did that whole flipping thing and I actually cried Blush she and her dh have been trying for over a year and her sis has been through some really tough times with multiple mcs and finally ivf which was successful eventually so she is well aware of the complications and not someone to take falling pg with a pinch of salt but I still felt Envy It makes me feel like a bitch and of course would never ever wish for things to be different for her but it doesn't stop that aching in our hearts to see/hear about pg friends. I too have done the whole, 'how are you? Good ok so anyway...' and I have always been one to support/encourage chatter about pregnancy and babies Sad

melies I think they will refer me to my next town so not too far but triple the distance, I don't care though, just want it sorted now.

Has anyone heard from blackkat recently? I hope she is ok.

harrassed Off to go google that KennyG thing in a minute. I don't bloame you for the way you are feeling right now, you have had a massive up recently then a massive down and that must be very exhausting. I hope the MC threads have been helping you and hope that you have been getting lots of RL support too.

meliesmummy · 29/03/2011 16:47

Chloe I don't blame you for looking into changing consultants. How far will you have to travel to see someone else? When can you see the gp? The Reflexologist I'm seeing costs £25 for 40 mins, that seems to be the going rate around here. I'm not sure how often I'll need to go. The people on the reflexology thread seem to be spending a lot more than that though. I guess it depends where you live, i would imagine that south wales and up by you would cost about the same?

rue I wouldn't worry about feeling like that, I find it very hard to be near pg women ATM. I'm sorry to say that 6 weeks on that's not getting any easier. In fact I think it'll feel like that until I get a bfp.

harassed those bloods sound traumatic! When do you get the results?

I am so so tired. Can hardly keep my eyes open. I slept really well this morning too. I've had to put dd in front of the tv and dh is doing the swimming run, I just cant face it.
