Juicee Hello and welcome. Am so sorry for your loss.

Cep gave me links to two pages which are tremendously informative.

Annoyingly I can only copy the link for one.

Cep Are you there? Can you copy the other one?

welcome angela and juicee sorry you have to be here but pull up a beanbag and grab some cake ( chocolate is ALWAYS available) sorry for both your recent losess and that you find yourselves here but you will find everyone here full of advice and support so get comfy ....

juicee i second melies advice its best to get things checked out just in case. Have you used opks? do you know if you have definitely ovulated this month ?

meliesmummy · 30/03/2011 14:33

juicee hello. You should go for the scan, it's best to be sure that everythings ok because any retained products could make you very ill. Also, you won't be able to conceive because if there was anything left you wouldn't ovulate. Have you done a test since the mc to check that it's negative?

Hello Ladies

Firstly I would like to say I am sorry for your losses, and good luck in your new journeys. Please can i join you in the ttc journey, I think i am 2 days past ovulation, so i'm in the 2 week wait, although i think i will wait a little longer than the 2 weeks, as not sure if I had my first af 4 days after bleeding stopped with mc, doc thinks it may have been my af but wants me to be scanned. Which is stupid as that isn't for another week, a month after mc, and to be honest what if i get lucky with ttc, i don't want them thinking i have left over mc, and offer me a d+c, if its a new pg. Do you think thats bad of me, should i go for the scan?
Thanks Jules.x

Sorry you got missed off freelance and please don't see that as a sign!

mumtum my friends got twins, she said that when she tested the day her period was due a really really dark line appeared instantly because of the extra hormones so you never know! Grin!

really mcs do stop and start but if might be worth going to your gp in case you need antibiotics. Frustrating I know!

Thanks for all of the positive vibes. I'm all over the place at the moment, I just dont know what to think. I've got soreish boobs today which is a pmt symptom for me, and a spot which is another! My cm is still weird too.

Had an ERPC 2 weeks ago, have stopped bleeding now and am ready to start ttc again. so that makes me:

angela85 ttc#2 cycle1 UCL unknown (have been on the pill since 16, even conceived DD on the pill!)

Thanks guys.....by the way, is that cake chocolate?? xxx

Reallyusefulengine · 30/03/2011 12:42

Mumtum et al, I love the BFPs on the thread, it's lovely and reassuring to hear your good news and good to hear that things move on in time. Smile.

Layla Oh good grief, the temptation! Can you get someone to hide your tests for a few more days? Can you lock yourself in a cupboard? Grin

Thank you for the advice on the bleeding. Again, you are all lovely. I have decided to give it a few more days and then reassess.

Freelance, thank you for the advice. May I ask you what they said about some still to come out? Did they say this will happen naturally or were you prescribed anything to help the process?

MumTumWanted · 30/03/2011 12:20

i can not say how surprised at 8 dpo so go for it laylas you never know ......

really need to go do some work.....

Bumpwanted · 30/03/2011 10:34

Morning girls

So sorry in advance if I miss anyone off this email as there are so many people to catch up on so waving to everyone and enjoying MumTum's delicious brownies...

Cep so sorry about your dream. That must have been awful. I hate things like that as they stay with you for a bit after so hope you can shrug it off today. Glad you DS slept though and I think you should just go with whatever works to get through the night so you get rest too. You are right - there are no manuals so just because someone else puts their child to bed at 7.30pm it doesn't make you wrong to put your little one to bed at 8.30pm

Brooke I think that is so insensitive of your friend. Maybe she just didn't think in her excitement Sad

Collie really pleased your test went up to 3 weeks -that is great Grin

MumTum congrats on your BFP!!! That is brilliant news and I hope the latest of many new BFPs we will see on here!

Really when I had my MC I was reading about bleeding and there were some articles/posts about people who had a bleed, then it stort of stopped or went to spotting and then started again. I think its where not nec all of it comes away at first. I think the girls are right and you should prob go for a scan to be sure its all come away properly.

So wed, middle of the week....it cannot be friday soon enough!

xx

cep · 30/03/2011 10:29

laylasmummy09 · 30/03/2011 10:28

melies sorry forgot to add wedding is april next year so provided this bean sticks i could be taking a 3 and a half month old to Mexico ! 8 dpo is really very early isnt it ....do you really think that may suggest twins ???

sorry me me me again Blush Blush quickly leaves more cakes by way of an apology and shuffles out of room under pretext of doing work but actually is still lurking .....

MumTumWanted · 30/03/2011 10:18

at work now and just cant concentrate so sneaked back on....

Thanks collie for the bean bag i feel i may be needing it !

Am still scared and think i should at least wait until af was due (8th April) before im ready to go on any lists join a recently updiffed thread etc so can i stay here for a bit longer please ???

mels i used the real cheap opks from wilkinsons they are like 5 sticks for £2.80 and they gave me 3 feint lines then one definite then 1 feint so im pretty sure i knew when i had ov'd, and i agree with *collie your bleed really doesnt sound like an AF so fingers crossed for you still Wink

freelance DPO is days past ovulation, glad you appear to be coming out the other side of your mc everyone of us on here know what you are going through and you just need to take time to me kind to yourself x

thanks cep i agree sorry i got so carried away by the me me me post i completey didnt mention your awful dream. Just remember with all your raging hormones vivid dreams are common so nothing to worry about and certainly no omens etc, though i can imagine very horrid all the same Sad

and though not helpful really im totally unsure about your bleeds, but they do say if you are worried to contact your GP could you perhaps see a differen one to last time ?

and waves out to blackkat chloe ninu knitter lily and all the other lovely ladies who may be lurking x

hands out big plate of chocolate brownies and Brew Brew Brew for all to share

Really I reckon you should go back for a scan to check it is all out. I went back yesterday (12 days after mc started, 6 days after passed sac at what would have been 12 weeks) and they said there is still a bit in there to come out. They have given me antibiotics to stave off infection. I know you don't feel ropey except for the bleeding but I think you should have it checked anyway in a few days if you are still bleeding, just for peace of mind. It's probably totally normal (I have heard of people bleeding for that long) but it's good to get checked anyway, imo.

cep · 30/03/2011 10:04

really not sure what to advice, if you're still bleeding heavily, give it a few more days maybe. but then you should call a dr just to discuss it. You don't feel light headed or anything like that?? or pain still?

freelancegirl · 30/03/2011 10:02

Hi everyone, thanks for all your support on other threads Mels and congratulations to those of you who are getting BFPs. I can only imagine how terrifying it must be to be pg again after mc. Cep your dream sounds awful. I always think that bad dreams mean good things though!

I think am coming to the end of the mc process and will soon be ready to TTC. Aiming to invest in tests to get a BFN first and then probably some sort of ovulation kit. Going to wait for the first AF after mc I think. And also taking selenium to help thyroid antibodies. I think I have slipped off the WTTC list (mel put me on a week or so ago) but I am too scared to go back on just in case it was an omen...

I have a question - what is dpo? And what do I need to know about it? Will it all come clear once I start looking into charting and testing etc?

Thanks in advance for having me on new thread :) I've been reading this avidly for a couple of weeks xx

cep · 30/03/2011 09:53

mel i didn't get anything until 12 dpo i was doing fr's and got bfn's. i did a tesco's own i think, at 12 dpo. then did cb digi at 13 dpo Ok just checked and i got my bfp on day 27

Reallyusefulengine · 30/03/2011 09:38

Mumtum Fantastic news Grin Grin Grin. Congratulations, 8DPO, blimey!

Cep Sounds like a horrible dream but glad you had enough sleep to dream at all. You've had one hell of a sleep deficit recently.

Blakkat Nice to meet you briefly, thank you for the advice. Fingers crossed for you xxx

Mel I agree with Cep, don't give up hope yet and its good that you have the relexologist appt to focus on.

Chloe How are you doing? Any change in bleeding?

Collie When do you think you'll get your scan? Are your doctor and MW helpful?

Okay, I hope you have all had a chance for your breakfasts to settle. Apologies TMI in advance. So, I started pink spotting 3 weeks ago. I had the actual miscarriage 2 weeks ago. It looked complete as far as I could tell. The bleeding was tapering off for a day or two last week but is now pretty full on again but mostly just red blood. Don't feel ill or have a temperature. Do you think this is normal? How long do you think this could continue for? Cep, I read the link you gave me - brilliant. But have been bleeding for longer but with no side effects. Really want to avoid seeing the Dr., don't want to go back to the clinic where I got the news etc.

What do you reckon? All normal?

Collie2 · 30/03/2011 09:35

mels this time around i was 10dpo when i got my faintest of faintest lines. i used a cheapie stick off ebay like the amazon ones. I must stress though it was very faint and had to hold it in the right light and squint to see it. I used a FR the next day and got a better, but still faint, line - i found it clearer to see though as my ebay ones were still barely shadows.

That said, with my first pg, i got a bfn on 14dpo and a bfp at 18 dpo. If your AF still hasn't come, i would say your not out, but don't want to get your hopes up too much for a big fall if this doesn't turn out to be your month. The bleed really doesn't sound like AF though. (??!) Confused

I'm ok thanks yrmotb apart from mentalling worrying about symptoms and pains i do have, and then again when i don't! Driving myself mad. Just want to be reassured everything will be ok this time. How is your holiday planning going? Where are you looking at?

meliesmummy · 30/03/2011 09:21

yrmotb I had a period three weeks after my mc, then not even 3 weeks later (last weds) started spotting but it never really went anywhere like a period, it was red a few times but mainly brown or pink and very mucousy. I've also got a cervical erosion that was aggravated by the mc so I don't know if it was that again or a light af. My gp didn't know either. So as a result I'm either day 26 today or day 8!

collie I'm 14 dpo (I think...). Which tests did you use? Mine are the strip ones from amazon, I'm not really sure how sensitive they are compared to fr or cb. How many dpo were you when you got a bfp? What about you Cep?

OP posts:
cep · 30/03/2011 09:12

mumtum oh that's fantastic news. Grin Grin Grin so so pleased for you. can't believe it at 8dpo, my sticks laughed at me at that point. Grin

mel don't give up yet hon. you still have a couple of days until af is due.

second collie's query and hope hadrian wellie and lily and the others we haven't seen for a while are all ok.
