to wellie nice to see you too - bet the assignment isn't as rubbish as you think, they never are! Smile Hope all ok with you

hi to minnie too

to everyone else.

So, , I took the plunge last night and tested, (AF can sometimes be 40+ days turning up so I was prepared for a negative) and I got a faint line. Thought it was my eyesight, or bcs it was dark or bcs it was a rubbish cheapy test so not true. Couldn't believe it given the 3 years it had taken to get BFP 1. But, done two more this am, including a CBdigi and got a positive on both. So I'm in total shock, terrified and am going for a big lie down. DH is at work (fireman) but I just woke up his whole watch by ringing to tell him! Grin

Sorry for me me me

Sorry too if another BFP upsets any of you TTCers - believe me when I say I do know how you are feeling, and how fortunate I am. ((hugs)) X

wellieboots · 31/03/2011 01:36

Hi all,
yes I have been lurking - OU assignment to do, so no time for MN over last couple of days. :(

anyway, done now, I think it was pretty rubbish but such is life and the next one will be better... [hopeful emoticon]

cep so sorry to hear about horrible dreams Shock, I hate nightmares at the best of times, but you do get vivid dreams when pg, and mc dreams while pg must be so :( - big hugs to you

hello to newbies- so sorry for your losses but this is a lovely encouraging gentle place to be, hope you find it as helpful as I have.

Huge congrats mumtum on the BFP Grin, that's amazing news!!

Nice to see you blackkat

Hope you are OK chloe, fx that it may be implantation, hang in there

collie is everything OK with you?

waves to everyone else!

Minnie74 · 30/03/2011 22:39

Hey everyone just checking in
mumtum Congratulations- that's such fantastic news! 8 dpo too! Grin

cep dream sounds awful, hope you have a better night tonight.

to freelance from the other thread. Hopefully the bleeding's sorting itself out x

Blackkat · 30/03/2011 22:03

Mel so sorry AF has got you Sad enjoy the Wine xx

laylas LOL at your in the cupboard, do hope it's only the sticks and not you locked away Grin

Welcome to Angela, juicee and freelance sorry you're here and for your losses, but these ladies have kept me sane since my m/c in Jan. Thanks again all!!

I second all that's been said about scans - if you are offered one, and you haven't yet had a BFN, then please have it. If there are retained products there (and apologies for horrible medical term) then you need to know so they can be treated, as infection could follow and that could cause future fertility problems, so please, please don't worry or stress about any pain or niggle alone, seek help from your GP or EPU.

Chloe FX it's implantation, remember Clomid can change your cycle length from month to month ((hugs)) - are you doing some days for the vets practice, sorry I can't keep up!!

cep so sorry you had such an awful dream, can imagine how awful that must have been.

mumtum Grin Grin Grin Grin YAY what amazing news!! 8DPO you are one brave lady!!

to everyone else that I haven't namechecked, sorry not to be able to keep up properly

meliesmummy · 30/03/2011 21:39

Well...I'm out of limbo...I'm properly bleeding now, cramps and all! Im actually quite relieved! Something normal! So back to cd1 for me and no more obsessive testing (for this month anyway...). I'll update the list tomorrow with the laptop.

Cep Hoping you have a good night's sleep and no horrible nightmares.

And a big wave to everyone else xxx

juicee · 30/03/2011 20:51

Hi Reallyuseful thanks for the wine, defo in order. I think what i am going to do is go back to docs and find out if i really have to go and have it. Collie I told the gp when she referred me that I had, had a bfn, it wasn't my usual gp, and to be honest I am not sure if she heard me. Melie, I am glad I had the bfn as I felt it was a step in the right direction, I haven't had any bleeding for a week and a half now. I think I will take collies advice and revisit my gp and see what she says. thanks again ladies. x

meliesmummy · 30/03/2011 19:48

Hi chloe, I can join you in the blood stained cm club, just had more pink arrrrhhhhh! When will this end?! I caved and did a cb digi earlier - bfn of course! So screw it, I had a glass of wine with dinner. Which in itself was a drama - cue broken cork and wine on my newish top! I did momentarily wonder if I wasn't meant to have it...

juicee that's a really positive sign that you've had a bfn, it's still worth going for a scan though, just to check. I had to go back to the epu for mine which was horrendous, do you have to too?

Its good to look at the silver lining in our big monstrous black cloud really. Im glad the bleedings settling.

Waves to Cep collie mumtum blackkat laylas yrmotb and everyone else x

Collie2 · 30/03/2011 19:09

juicee does your gp know you've had a bfn? That's a good sign that things are back to normal. Didn't mean to scare of confuse you. Do what you think is right. I know that the thought of going back is hard. See how the rest of your cycle goes. If you don't have any pain or irregular bleeding and still don't want to go back, revist your gp. If you do get a bfp, you might find a scan reassuring? X

Reallyusefulengine · 30/03/2011 19:07

Juicee Just to let you know, I am avoiding a scan too! I don't want to hear that there's something left either.

Can we all have some wine now? Wine Wine Wine

juicee · 30/03/2011 19:02

Thanks for letting me join the forum, And the lovely words of advice, mega confused if im honest as sort of convinced myself there was no need to go for another scan, I actually feel as if this miscarriage is easier to deal with now and if i am truly honest I am scared of being told there is still something left, as I have moved on and feel ready to try again. I have definately ovulated as had the ewcm, a little earlier than normal, but i know things would be different this month. I done a pregnancy test just over a week ago and it was negative. Thanks again for your advice, i'm not saying i wont go, I probably will now, just scared!! :(
P.s before i disappear i just wanted to say welcome to the other newbies, and thanks for the yummy cake, just what the doctor ordered. Can't beat virtual cake, you can eat it without piling on the pounds. :) x

cep · 30/03/2011 18:38

chloe are you enjoying it though? have you managed to make an appt with your gp?

Chloe55 · 30/03/2011 18:23

Evening my lovelys,

Phew, I am knackered - I am soooo not used to being on my feet for this long, I have no idea how I will get through the next 2 weeks Confused I must think about the extra spending money though Smile Well, another slight bloody cm on wiping last night but nothing again Hmm Weird. I am not getting my hopes up for it being implantation as it is too early and the same happened last month with a bfn so sod getting my hopes up this month. Don't get me wrong would love to get that bfp but if it doesn't happen this month I am not going to cry about it as imo (and it is totally imo having got an aunty who's birthday falls christmas eve) I am not excited at the prospect of a christmas baby anyway. (Now, if I get a bfp this month I am sure that will be a different story Grin)

Congrats mumtum Grin And at 8dpo? Shock Brilliant news.

Welcome to the new ladies, everyone here is very supportive and feel free to rant/cry/whatever you need to do to get past the next few weeks/months.

Sorry it's a quick post and I haven't name checked, have got tea to make and ds to put to bed now, have only just walked through the door - this fulltime work and being a mum malarky is exhausting, hats off to all you ladies who regularly do it!

Reallyusefulengine · 30/03/2011 18:06

Freelance Thank you sharing the details. I has a splodge too (TMI again!) this afternoon and the bleeding seems to have tapered off slightly and I have cheered up a bit so am hoping that if I'm lucky I might stop bleeding sometime before my 80th birthday. Then I can start trying again Grin.

This miscarriage is costing me a fortune in acupuncture, sanitary towels and cheer up wine.

I am up and down all the time, Did remember that I could eat pate again and can actually look at 'normal' clothes for summer. That made me pleased. And then cried a bit in the supermarket. Confused. Maybe its all those hcg levels falling back to zero.

Layla I like the secret tests. V. funny.

Collie2 · 30/03/2011 17:55

Angela it varies for everyone, i took one about 3 weeks after and got a bfn, but didn't test before that so it could have been earlier i suppose. here are some cheapie tests you can also get them off ebay so you can test withough feeling guilty.

laylasmummy09 · 30/03/2011 17:54

i was told to do one after a week angela hope that helps,
hands out peppa pig birthday cake x

cep · 30/03/2011 17:51

Thank you for welcoming me, the cake is lovely by the way!
So sorry for the losses of everyone who is here, surprised there are so many of us! But is certainly lets me know i'm not alone. Its so nice to have people i can come to for advice if i need it or support when i'm down. and its so good to be going on this journey of ttc again with so many of you.

Quick question...when after ERPC should i get a -ve on a test? haven't done one yet as they're expensive and i don't want to waste the ones i have waiting for this to be over. Its been 2 weeks now, should i do one? TIA.
Much love ladies. xxx

laylasmummy09 · 30/03/2011 17:36

hi angela and juicee sorry for your losses but the ladies here are very supportive,
RUE Grin i think i could do with locking in a cupboard for the first 12 weeks just to keep me away from google Smile my oh doesnt know i have got some tests so i wont do one yet because if i get a -ve it will get me down and i wont be able to tell him why.
have a good eavening everybody.

Reallyusefulengine · 30/03/2011 17:24

Sorry Angela I forgot to welcome you too. I am sorry for your loss. I pass you a big slice of cake.

Have totally forgotten my manners, have just had the God Almightiest tantrum from my 3yr DS and he has taken himself off to bed. My ears are a ringing! Amazed he has carted himself off though Confused

freelancegirl · 30/03/2011 17:23

Thanks Mels for adding me! Feels a bit more real seeing my name there. Hi angela and juicee and other fellow newbies, sorry for your losses that got you are here. Juicee am with mels and mumtums advice on this, get it checked out.

Really - They did another scan and saw that there was about 2cm of 'product' still in there. I don't think it was in the same place as they drew digital lines in a few places when scanning so am assuming they were just adding it together to give a rough idea of what still was to come. They didn't give me anything to help bring it out but they did give me antibiotics to take for 5 days in case of infection and told me to come back in 2 weeks. Am not losing much blood now which is a bit annoying but I did get a splodge (TMI!) when getting back to the gym (although taking it easy) earlier so maybe that helped get things moving...

Am feeling weird today, have gone from feeling miserable and hormonally thinking about babies to actually starting to enjoy the fact that I am not pregnant! It feels good to have my body back (well, I need to lose the 5lbs I put on in first trimester) and fit in clothes comfortably. Gosh it is also good to have a drink!!

I think it's all part of the grieving process though and it doesn't mean I won't be ttc as soon as get my first af!

Thanks for clearing up the dpo, I have another question - what is cm? Is is something to do with discharge...? I think I have since it used in that way relating to the gloopier stuff you get when ovulating.

Collie2 · 30/03/2011 17:12

angela and juicee welcome and sorry for your losses

juicee did you take a pg test and get a -ive after your mc? If so if you do get another bpf you can be sure that it is a new pg and not anything left behind form the old one. I would go for another scan on your gp's recommendations to get the all clear. If you do get another bfp and go for a scan, as long as you tell them you shouldn't need to worry.

Just wondering how chole is today? Have you been working?
