Thanks everyone! Yes I understand harassed that it's more positive thinking to be here, particularly as you are ttc again. I drop in occasionally too. So have seen the doc at EPU and they said there is indeed a bit of retained products, less than 2cm, but that it is not fresh blood therefore unlikely to cause any problems and probably come out with next period. Good news on that front is that I have ovulated (I knew I had - even knew it had been from the left side and identified cm so al pretty pleased I can hopefully now keep track of this in future) and should hopefully get af soon. They said af will probably be longer than usual but if it does anything really odd to go back. Otherwise, re ttc they said no reason why I can't start after af. I asked if it would cause problems if the clot stayed and I got pregnant and they said if it stayed I wouldnt get pregnant! So will have to keep an eye in that. Think I will come back after period for a scan anyway. But hopefully soon I will be moving my name up to the ttc list!

Morning ladies

Cep sorry to hear DS was up again Sad but hopefully after a few days of seeing the gate and knowing what's going to happen the crying will gradually get less (I have no knowledge of this but watched supernanny last night and they had a similar problem and the first few days were awful - like 4 hours of crying - but then it got less so fx for you!)

Chloe that sounds like a really healthy attitude. I think its so easy to become so fixated with it all. I had a few (well more than a few) drinks this weekend and it really took my mind off things and helped me relax.

Hi Thumb sorry for your losses. There are a few people on here who have tried again straight away so fx for you this month!

Hi Sun am taking pregnacare the same as Melies. DH is not taking anything. He's been less keen on starting to try now rather than a bit later in the year so I am trying to act all casual and let him know I am secretly obsessing about what we are eating etc! I subtly told him maybe he should drink less during the week and conveniently have made sure we don't get up early enough to have a coffee before work so at least that's something!!

Harhassed awh hun I know how you feel. My DH seemed to be "over" it a lot quicker than me. Its only natural for it to affect you more and I agree he probably thinks the best way to help you move forward is not to discuss it. I ended up blurting it all out in tears again the week I got my AF (big hormone surge!) so we chatted about it again then so make sure you don't bottle it all up. We're here for you if you need us!

Oli its still early days so fx fr you - keep us posted!

Hi to everyone else!!

xxx

harassedinherpants · 12/04/2011 09:41

Good luck flg! Sorry I've deserted the mc thread, I just find it very hard to on that board at the moment. I'm better on here!

yrmotb I'd just dtd every other day. I ditched the ov sticks after a few months. I think they're good in that they help you recognice when your body is ov'ing, but I found it was just another test to obsess over!

thumbwitch · 12/04/2011 09:25

Hello from epu! Am bored witless so thought I would drop in and say hi. Waiting to see if everything has gone so fingers crossed. Hello harassed and welcome sunshine. Chloe that sounds like a fabulous thing to do and that is where I am now too, drinking, having the occasional cigarette oh but obsessively researching pg, mc, ov, antibodies, doctors, specialists and anything else I can get my hands on. Very distracting still. Cep sorry for what you are going through. Thumbwitch and harassed you ate certainly making me think twice about whether should wait to ttc until af or not. I was planning to wait but tbh I think I might have already ov anyway. Having found out that high thyroid antibodies can mean 50% chance of a mc I was wondering whether to ttc at all but have come to the decision that I will. If that means going through this again so be it, will just have to be strong. Hello to everyone I have missed, it's hard to respond to much on my iPhone. Wish me luck for the scan!

Youremindmeofthebabe · 12/04/2011 09:19

Morning all! Sorry to see so many new people here. Welcome though.

All's well here, ds got into his first choice school, so that's good. I am currently approaching ov, I think, am day 17ish. Dtd last night, but haven't had a + on an ov stick yet.

I went to see my SIL's baby the other day, which was lovely. I only cried a little on the way there, and not at all when I was there or after we left. yey me!

chloe enjoy your time off, take care.

cep sorry to hear about ds, but thats a step in the right direction-ish, at any rate? It's so hard hearing them cry, but he sounds like he's doing better than last week.

Fx for oli.

Hope everyone else is well.

harassedinherpants · 12/04/2011 09:01

Morning,

Chloe that sounds like a fab idea! I think we're very had on ourselves with this ttc & mc stuff. Have lots of fun!! x

thumbwitch I'm not waiting for first af either. I did last time (had 2 mc's this year) and it did not flipping good at all, so I'm just going for it. What will be will be.

Cep awww you poor things. I'm sure it'll get better really quickly now, but it's heartbreaking ((()))'s

Sunshine my dh is very fit (he's a boxer) and he takes mega strength zinc. Also good for the immune system, you don't want them getting ill at ov time!! Wink

I''m cd21 today and have had a crampy tummy already Sad.

Chloe55 · 12/04/2011 08:35

If anyone updates the stats please put me at CD1. Feel okish about it actually. Have decided to take a month off TTC so no Clomid for me this month, no temping, no ridiculous amount of vitamin popping/juice drinking/brazil nut eating. Do you know what I will be doing for the next few weeks? Getting pissed, having a few cigs and generally trying to get my life back so I will be quiet on this thread for a while but I hope to be back feeling refreshed in a few weeks after giving my head a break!! Good luck everyone! x

cep · 12/04/2011 07:31

morning ladies. we spoke too soon yesterday, ds woke up stood at the gate screaming, mummy i want weewee, mummy i scared. it was horrible but i managed to keep quiet. he only cried for 30 mins but took him ages to get back to sleep. i had to check as i was told to cover him if he fell asleep on the floor. cue 5 mins more crying. Sad it could have been worse and has been in the past so at least it was only 30 mins.

i hope everyone is ok.

thumb you don't have to wait for first af if you don't want to it's whatever yu feel best.

thumbwitch · 12/04/2011 03:03

had an interesting moment yesterday when I appeared to have the right CM for ovulation - seems a bit unlikely but we DTD anyway just in case. Daft really - should have waited for first period post MC but am just so old now (43) that I am just jumping on any opportunity.

Sorry not to namecheck everyone - it's going to take a while to settle in to who everyone is, I think - :( that there are so many of us on here but at least we have each other for support :)

sunshinela · 12/04/2011 00:15

Oh meliesmummy thanks for that advice. Didn't even enter my mind that DH should be taking vits too.

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming.

This thread is brilliant.

meliesmummy · 11/04/2011 23:40

Fx then olis!

Hello sunshine, glad you found us. As far as supplements go I take pregnacare conception, and my oh takes wellman conception and vitamin c, we both eat lots of brazil nuts too.

Well works manic, only just managing a quick drink now, I think the night will go quickly!

sunshine welcome and sorry for your loss. congratulations on your wedding.

lily i'm not too bad, still a bit concerned about the brown blood i had on thursday and hope to ask mw if she can see if we can hear anything on doppler tomorrow at my booking in but i'm not holding my breath for either her saying yes or hearing it if she actually does. we put his stair gate back on today, was telling him throughout the day it was going to happen and why so we'll see. hopefully he'll sleep through anyway so won't matter.

ochaye don't be silly, you're perfectly within your right to have mememe at the moment. i hope you're doing ok.

oli 8 dpo a wee bit early. maybe wait a few days. fx for you.

hihp he probably hasn't, probably thinks it's easier on you if he doesn't mention it. Why is it all his phases are coming at once.....i bloomin hope it's all his phases.

i'm ending my current diet by watching obem (i recorded while in bath) and stuffing my face with chocs i had left from mothers day. i'll just put a few pounds on before i lose it. Grin

harassedinherpants · 11/04/2011 20:55

Hello!

I've had a very busy day. Dd has a rash so cm wouldn't have her until I had it checked. Doc said it's a virus and I should keep her off today so I had am impromptu day at home. Much needed I might add, so I've spring cleaned and packed some boxes ready for moving in a couple of months. Dd was hard work though!! She's not ill, not by a long shot, just bored apparently....

Sunshine welcome, and sorry for you loss. It's great here though.

Collie thanks for the infor lovely.

Cep sounds like ds is getting better, flipping "phases"!

Mel sorry af got you, but you sound positive about it. Here's hoping for a proper cycle for you.

lilysorry you got a bfn, but you're still in!! I've never had a bfp until the actual day I'm due.

olis stop testing Grin!! Wait a couple of days at least.

ochaye · 11/04/2011 20:53

Hi there Collie - yes, I mc'd on Christmas day. I think I remember you from when I was on here before. How are you getting on?

melie - I'm not going for tests yet. I'll go and see the midwife this week and see if she recommends I go and get checked out, but I haven't seen anyone at all as yet. I think if it happens again I'll ask about tests. I was speaking to my boss today (we have a great relationship) and she told me she had SEVEN mc's between her DS1 and DS2! I'm still a bit shaken by her news!

You guys are just SO lovely. I feel so much better already (((hugs))). Promise I will now stop thinking all about me ...

lily06 · 11/04/2011 19:55

Evening ladies,

Sorry just a quick post and run, supposed to be working.....

Welcome sunshine, sorry to hear about your MC, hope you find lots of support here.

Collie thanks, I'm feeling much better about things in general, hoping it will last! Was thrilled about your BFP, how's it going?

Cep glad things are starting to improve with your ds, how are you doing otherwise?

BFN here, AF due tomorrow/wed so will see.

sunshinela · 11/04/2011 18:57

oh and laylasmummy we were on the same thread for due date september babies and you mc'd then i did straight after. How are you getting on?

sunshinela · 11/04/2011 18:55

Hi All,

meliesmummy thank you so much for letting me know about this chat. It's great. So positive to see so many in the same situation!
So I am not sure how the list works but I'd love to be on it. A quick summary of where I am at. I am british but live on west coast USA so i'm 8 hrs behind you lot. Me and my DH got PG on our honeymoon. But we MC'd at 9 weeks. I had suffered terrible energy loss and tiredness through PG and until 2 weeks after my D&C :( Found MC very very hard to handle but I know it is for everyone. Just had my first AF visit on Sat so v relived. We are off to Vegas with freinds end of May so want to be able to drink and have fun with our friends. But we have decided to Do the deed in Vegas and cross fingers will be PG soon. Am so desperate for a succesful PG. Seems like a lot of my friends have had babies without even trying for it. Whereas I took folic acid, changed my diet, got v fit etc etc. So v gutted we MC'd and it seemed so easy for my other friends :(. Is anyone in the same position? ready to try again after 1st mc? I'd love to know what supplements/changes to diet you are doing?!

olismum23 · 11/04/2011 18:47

sorry X posts hopeful FX for you and loup

olismum23 · 11/04/2011 18:46

Hi ladies,

Well what am i like i tested today at 8dpo got two lines come up but then it went clear even though the line is still there but clear IYKWIM took another test and guess what another "clearish" line so thinking they are evaps, weird like but they are cheap tests and i am only 8dpo will be getting my Cb digitals in the post soon so will try and hold out till the end of the week lol.

I will prob take the last cheap test tomorrow morning but im not holding out much hope!

:) hope everyone is having a good evening!

hopeful1 · 11/04/2011 18:42

hey Loup I am also 5dpiui so we can do the 2ww together, already obssessing over symptoms or lack of!!!!!!

I have a friend who went for her 20 week scan today, a friend going for her 12 week scan tomorrow and my manager went for her 12 week scan on wednesday I am genuinely happy for them but sucks for me!!!!!!

Hope everyone has a good evening

Bumpwanted · 11/04/2011 17:58

Melies sorry to hear about the FB photo. Its so annoying when that happens....just know your baby scan photo will be much cuter when the time comes (that's what I tell myself!)

Collie thanks for the advice. I am taking some kind of tablet from boots which is a multivitamin thing for mothers to be with folic acid in it. Can I take other stuff on top of this as I am a bit worried I will OD on healthy vitamins!!

Cep suspect you will burn loads of calories just from growing another person and so with that and your healthy eating plan you will be on to a winner!

Loup and Hopeful fingers crossed for your 2ww!!

Just spoke to DH who is off out tonight. I said don't come back totally drunk as you have an appointment and he said "its not the right time yet as its too early"....someone has clearly been checking the period i tracker thing on my phone!! I told him I wanted it to be fresh for OV day and that he shouldn't complain when it is offered on a plate....there is no pleasing some men!
