I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

My symptoms seem to have completely disappeared :-(

babybrain3 · 16/06/2011 07:17

Will be looking forward to hearing the outcome on Saturday trope sounds promising, will have my fx for good news....

mememummy · 16/06/2011 00:54

Fingers crossed trope shall be thinking ov ya

trope · 15/06/2011 22:58

lugsie I heard a few movements this morning I thought, but wasn't sure, nothing as dramatic as yesterday. I had to go out today and I haven't heard anything since I got back late this afternoon, so maybe it's finally escaped/died? I'm home tomorrow, so if I hear anything I'll call the RSPCA, but I honestly can't see anyway of getting it out without killing/hurting it (we'd have to saw through the boarding to create a hole to remove it through, but if we do that we'll be sawing into the space behind the boarding, i.e. where the bird is... can't see that ending well... It's all really quite horrid :( Am hoping it's escaped by itself!

eurochick - thanks for looking :) If I did ov earlier, then I'm pretty much at 14dpo now, i.e. AF is due. DP and I have agreed to test on Saturday, instead of Sunday, as I will have gone completely potty by Sunday! If I am pregnant there should be enough HCG to detect by then, so fingers crossed. Have been weirdly tearful this evening, which is usually a day before AF symptom for me, so may all be coming to an abrupt end tomorrow... but on the other hand, the spotting has completely stopped today, I am increasingly nauseous, fatigued and intermittently light headed. Something is definitely not as it usually is... am very very very cautiously optimistic. (So sod's law dictates AF arrives in 3,2 ... )

eurochick · 15/06/2011 13:42

trope I'd put you oving earlier than FF too.

Lugsie · 15/06/2011 12:24

Ohhh how exciting trope - only a couple of days to go till you know for sure Smile Did you get the bird in the chimney thing sorted out?!

congrats toddle! I agree with others - you can definitely plan a wedding in a few months. We booked ours a year before but that was only so we could guarantee the venue we wanted then save up, we didn't actually do any other planning till quite close to the date.

Welcome freedom Smile

trope · 15/06/2011 09:22

If anyone fancies attempting to interpret my FF chart for me it's here by the way! As you can see from the overlay, it's gone a bit strange this month - temps leapt up early, but ff still places the ov day in the middle.. as said upthread, i'm not 100% convinced it's got my ovulation date correct... I suspect I may have ovulated 3-4days earlier than it thinks... but (shrugs) who knows?!

Anyways, this time next week I will know one way or the other and I have had far longer waits for things in the past so I shall probably be strong!!!

trope · 15/06/2011 09:11

carlita & babybrain - nope, no POAS for me! Have got a test put away in a cupboard, but am pretending it isn't there! Wink Am trying really really hard to be good and only POAS when my AF is actually late! Thanks for fx though - am constantly expecting AF and can't believe i've had 3 days of spotting and no blood. In fact, so far today, no spotting and no blood! My temp has gone back up a little bit (is all over the place this month) and I am still fatigued and nauseous. Part of me thinks that I don't feel like this ever and don't get spotting like this ever, so it must be something, but mostly I just feel like it's my stupid body playing silly games with me! All very odd!

There's also the fact that DP and I are almost certainly only going to have one kid/pregnancy and he really wants to be involved with everything - so we want to POAS when he isn't off at work; Mon-Fri he leaves before 8am each day and doesn't get home till 8pm, or often later (gone 9pm last night) so ideally we want to wait till the weekend. That way we get to spend the day together either commiserating or celebrating, instead of getting the result and him disappearing off on a train to London!

But god yes, I am going crazy with the not knowing! Am off to babysit a friend's kids for her this morning (3yrs and 9 months - so cute!) and am then having lunch with her, so I have a distraction for at least half of today! But tomorrow & friday are stretching out ahead... must make plans!! Perhaps I shall bake things; make positive use of my faffing and nerves!

babybrain3 · 15/06/2011 07:08

Can't believe you haven't poas yet trope!!! Fx crossed for you when you do!!!

Carlitawantsababy · 14/06/2011 22:50

trope you still haven't POAS?!? You are one strong woman! Well done! You can test Friday - af due date right?! Grin

trope · 14/06/2011 22:25

toddle congrats! Personally I'd focus on the TTC and organise the wedding around that, so long as you aren't after a huge wedding you can definitely organise one quite quickly if you needed to!

weimy aw, bloody af! Have some Wine and un-mumsnetty hug!

I am still spotting, very light today, no sign of AF yet. Have never had 3 days of spotting like this before. Am CD24, last cycle was 27 days and the urge to POAS is getting stronger every day - I just want to know WTF is going on! Still v fatigued, dizzy spells and intermittent nausea..

Oh, and I have a bird stuck in my chimney still :( it had gone all quiet so I thought it had escaped, but it went completely nuts again when I got home this evening. Calling the RSPCA in the morning in the hope they can help get it out somehow!

Toddle - I am counting now, i would update my own stats but it all confuses me (am new to these threads)

babybrain3 · 14/06/2011 10:34

fx for you too Freedom, can't imagine trying for that long :(

babybrain3 · 14/06/2011 10:33

Toddle, I am so excited for you!!! Congratulations!!! I keep dropping hints to my DP, but he just doesn't seem to pick them up...Maybe on our holiday this year in Aug fx....

Well i caved and POAS just now, got a BFN, but wasn't the first pee of the day and still only 7dpo, so will try again on Friday i think...May have to sit on my hands though...Still feeling queasy, keep gagging, but not actually throwing up, and woke up last night to go to the toilet which is very unusual for me. I am so excited for all of us POAS over the weekend..We must be due for some good news on this thread soon I reckon!!

Carlitawantsababy · 14/06/2011 10:08

Well let's hope this thread is lucky for all of us so you don't have to even consider it in 6 months!Smile

freedom2011 · 14/06/2011 09:38

carlita - not yet. DH is not keen on IUI/IVF -We're giving it another 6 months before he'll consider that maybe we need some help. We took about 8 months to organise our wedding but I am sure it can be done a lot faster as we didn't rush with anything.

Carlitawantsababy · 14/06/2011 09:24

freedom the persona sounds interesting, haven't heard of that before.. Are you on waiting lists for IUI and/or IVF? By 2.5 years of trying my sister had had 3 x IUI and 1 x IVF (and is now 12 weeks pg with twinsGrin) but does that depend a bit on where you live? I can't imagine what you are going through.
So, being married, how long would you say it takes to organise a wedding? Do you agree or think I'm mad?Smile

freedom2011 · 14/06/2011 09:15

thanks carlita, thanks for asking toddle. I go in to see doctor every 6 months with my charts, first they removed some growing-right-in-the-way-polyps in an operation, and my dr said should work now, that was well over a 1.5 years ago. At the last visit she recommended Persona which is actually marketed for contraception but apparently some people use it by DTD on the red-danger-of-pregnancy days. I bought it - but the packaging says not for women who have a cycle over 35 days. I'm not sure now, might try it anyway. DH has been tested, all is ok with him.

Hope you get to enjoy the proposal moment soon. Being proposed to is pretty wonderful.

Carlitawantsababy · 14/06/2011 08:55

Welcome freedom and meme! good to have you here! Smile
toddle how exciting re proposal! If it's just that you don't want to be heavily pg, rather than pg at all how about getting married this summer? You still have time to plan for late august/ early September unless you have something very specific in mind which may be booked up or if you have specific dates in mind. Otherwise it's entirely possible, people go on about it being some gargantuan task to organise a wedding but it's rather like organising a large party, of course if you want to make place cards, favours, your own dress etc. it would be hard. Our wedding was pretty simple, town hall and party at a local pub but similarly you could organise a hotel wedding in that time if that suits you more as these are often packages which you buy anyway. That of course brings the question of money, would you need to save up? We didn't spend much at all. Otherwise I would go for the try for another 3 months plan if you would rather marry next year...whatever you decide may I be one of the first to congratulate you on your engagement? Grin
Glad you're joining the testing gang on father's day, that will be an exciting one! PMSL at us running to boots with the pink jackets on but now have 'here come the girls' stuck in my head!
Next time someone posts stats can you move boogies at the top to the MIA section? It's well past the 2nd now! I can't copy and paste from other's posts on the app.

toddle · 14/06/2011 00:13

Think ive updated the stats and put you both on so fx ive got them right. freedom Ive only been at it for 5 months but i can feel your fustration with cycles getting longer and longer. First cycle TTC was 24 days and they have now gone up to 34 days. Arghh stupid cycles. We do have someone on the thread on cycle 21 so i guess your not alone. Have you been to see if theres anything they can help you with seeing as you have been trying so long.
