I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

Oh, I'm fed up, why is it that the week I am ovulating, dp is having an extremely stressful time at work??? It's not looking good for us this month:( so much for DTD more often..

Carlitawantsababy · 05/07/2011 23:28

Really think it should be you weimy, you did so well with this one! Grin

weimy · 05/07/2011 19:48

lol trope Grin thats such a funny thought and far too vivid!!!

Good luck with SWI Rosiy

FX carlita and trope!

I am quite happy for someone else to take the plunge and start the thread Grin

OP posts:
RosyRosie · 05/07/2011 11:06

Is there a risk of these threads turning nasty? I can't imagine that! lol

Well, I think I should be ovulating about nowish but loads of SWI hasn't helped so far so I'm chilling out now and not trying to get all overbearing, obsessed and pushy and ruin our sexlife over it!

trope · 05/07/2011 10:40

so.... you know how I said there was 0% chance of me getting pregnant this cycle? Well fertility friend changed it's mind about my ovulation date - moved it to CD14 (I actually think it should be CD13) and as we SWId on CD13 there is absolutely a chance. OK, it's not a big chance, just the one time when I was fertile, but it only takes one, right?

So there goes my fluffy relaxing fun 2 weeks of beer drinking in the sunshine and not thinking about babies! (We are trying to relax and have a nice time though - had a lazy weekend and treated ourselves to dinner out in town on Sunday night).

I've been approached by a friend of DPs to do some freelance work on a start-up he's involved with, so am actually going to (hopefully) be working at least part time for a little bit - which should help distract me! Have only done 2 weeks work in the last 2.5 years so am a bit nervous - but am quite looking forward to it! Met with another start-up yesterday but the guy running it was completely nuts (refuses to do any planning!!) so I ran away!

I'm 6(or7)DPO right now and trying to resist the urge to symptom spot (although I think DP quite likes it when I sit grabbing at my breasts trying to work out if they're tender, or if it's just the muscles behind them aching from squash!!)

Love the idea of "furtively checking pants" weimy - mental image of you at a bus stop trying to catch a glimpse of things without people realising!! ;)

Exciting news Toddle & Babybrain! Do keep us updated! Grin

Carlita - that's so great - shall keep my fingers crossed for you!

threads are full at 1000 posts right? So we've got a little way to go, but I guess someone should start a new one soon? Weimy, do you want the honours? After all, you started this thread and it turned out all friendly & lovely! :)

babybrain3 · 04/07/2011 19:46

Fx for you carlita!!!!

Carlitawantsababy · 04/07/2011 19:10

Hi everyone, sounds like everyone's doing well! I'm 4 dpo and have light cramping (or am imagining things!) very exciting, feels like it may be our month, we've done everything perfectly this month so fx! Grin

weimy · 04/07/2011 18:24

Hi all

Has anyone started a new thread yet? I'm on cd21 so in the 1ww Grin I usually start spotting 10/11 dpo through to AF so am due to start furtively checking my pants.

Love all this wedding news it's very exciting!!!

Lugsie · 04/07/2011 13:25

Hi everyone, haven't been on here for a week or so so just catching up with posts...

Congrats world and stuff on your BFPs! Really pleased for you both Smile

Sorry to those who af got.

I'm loving the news of the impending proposals! Keep us posted girls!

Well CD18 here so no news from me, been trying to SWI as much as possible over the last week or so and about to start the 2ww. Its a weird feeling knowing it could have happened already but I need to wait two whole weeks to have it confirmed! FX!

Hope everyone is well and that you all had a nice weekend in the sun Smile

eurochick · 03/07/2011 08:49

toddle, I posted a thread asking just that a little while ago!

We aim for every other day from day 8 and then every day when I think I am ovulating. Once my chart confirms a temp rise, we go back to whatever we feel like.

babybrain3 · 03/07/2011 06:54

Hehehe, I know that if you DTD too often there won't be as many little swimmers in there as they need time to build back up, I think the advice is every 2-3 days, especially when ovulating. However, with busy lives and demanding jobs, it's not always practical to DTD that often, and then there's always the risk of it becoming a bit scheduled and losing out on the romance....

I'm really excited, do you have any ideas when mr toddle will pop the question???

toddle · 03/07/2011 01:33

well by the sounds of that he wont have time for popping any questions you will be far to busy dtd of course Wink

ok... well since you have brought up the issue of dtd more often.... i am just wondering as this was a suggestion of my dp's too, as we 'now dont dtd as much as we used to' Confused (i think he means no longer 4x a day Hmm) The national adverage is 127 times a year. I no thats just some random stats but for the sake of my sanity would anyone like to share how often they think is enough while ttc?

babybrain3 · 02/07/2011 22:41

Haha, that's funny toddle were away that week too!!! I'm hoping he will do it when were on holiday!! Ooh it is exciting!!! He got quite excited last night when my reply to him being concerned about not having a bfp yet was that we should DTD more often, he nearly fell off his chair!!!!

toddle · 02/07/2011 17:46

babybrain are you me?????

Haha nope. Well could be i suppose. He had me sizing my finger the other day. ARGHHHHHH. The anticipation is killing me! We of away for the first week in august so maybe then sometime that week. On the TTC side i was also feeling the same about him. As he was away mid cycle ive not been botherd at all this month or kept track. Caught up with me eventually though when AF hit while wearing white linen trousers.............. At work. :(. He said he was really upset and gutted as id been getting later and by HIS calculations i was due on few days previous. I had no idea he even knew when was due or anything. He thinks this month is our lucky month :) i chuffing hope so. Here comes cycle 6. Wow that hit me hard. Half a year? Im aware people have been trying much longer then me just never in a million years expected it to take so long.

You have any idea when mrbabybrain may pop the question babybrain? Eeeek its all very exciting. This may take our minds of TTC for a while at least

Well i cant update on my phone so if someone does will you change me to cycle 6 :( ucl 30 and af due 30th july

weimy · 02/07/2011 15:51

Yay!!!! congrats babybrain. it just takes them a while to talk about their feelings xxx

OP posts:
babybrain3 · 02/07/2011 11:31

I've got some gossip... Dp and I had a discussion about getting married last night!!!! He must have caught on with my hint dropping after all!! He also told me that he is concerned that we haven't had a bfp yet, and I had thought he was losing interest!!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

weimy · 01/07/2011 22:52

Congrats stuff!

wouldbe I am sorry :( fx with those tests.

Hi all I hope you are all well, 4dpo at the mo so no gossipx

OP posts:
1sttimetryer · 01/07/2011 21:43

thank you for your reply Carlitawantsababy, think i will pay them a little visit and see what they say, that was my thinking, could try for a year and then find out they could do something simple now that might help me. Thank you

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 01/07/2011 20:40

well AF got me today Sad. feeling fairly down about the whole thing, but the BFPs on this thread have cheered me up - congrats world and stuff - good to know it happens on our thread.

nice to have you drop in bun - glad to hear it's all going well for you. and good health news from trope too, so glad I stopped by today!

will update stats soon.
Due to have some blood taken for tests on Tues. the doctor said on days 1 to 5, and Tues will be day 5, so should be ok. just starting to investigate that I'm ov-ing ok.

think I mainly need to relax more - work has been super-crazy busy and I know I need a break. hoping to have week of 11th July off - which will be a key SWI time for us too - so just need to relax and think positive thoughts for the next cycle!

hugs to all Smile

1sttime there would be no harm in going to your GP, I'm not able to advise about your cycles but I would say that's unusual and it would be a shame to try for a year and then find out that you just needed a simple intervention. Just my opinion but hope it helps. Grin

Signet2012 · 30/06/2011 20:02

Oh and cycle 3!!

1sttimetryer · 30/06/2011 19:49

Hi All, was wandering if i could ask some advice, been ttc now for a few months, but in that time ive only had one period, my cycles have been approx 48 days long, does anybody else have extreamly long cycles? Also do you think i should go and see my gp for some advice, just wandered whether its possible im not ov'ing or there is some other underlying problem, the first time i told my gp back 7 years ago they just put me on the contraceptive pill, its never been looked into, any suggestions welcome :)
(have posted this on another thread, so apologies if you've read this twice)

BunMyOven · 30/06/2011 11:02

Fantastic! Congratulations Stuff!
Well, they say good luck comes in 3's so we're due another BFP soon! Grin

Trope that must be such a relief that your arthritis is back in remission, really pleased for you Smile I agree with Carlita's suggestion about making the most of your 'month off' and really treat yourselves - it sounds like you bloody deserve it! Hope everything calms down for DP at work soon, I can really sympathise with that situation, it's not a nice place to be. Best wishes!
