I am about to start cycle 5 and wondered if there were any fellow sex pests out there who wanted to join me in regular swi, not so regular poas and plenty of Wine, Biscuit, Brew and [chocolate emoticon].

Aw thank you! Smile Still all giddy about it. Lugsie, I used a Clearblue Plus test, it says that 53% of pregnant women get a positive test result 4 days before Af's due which is pretty good.
Took DS(2) to the library today and he was a right nightmare! Decided to have his first proper public tantrum and was snatching toys of the other children - his way of letting me know what I'm in for with two DC's I think! Grin

Boogies how nice, Italy's lovely. I hope you have a lovely time, getting away definately helps with keeping the sanity over the 2ww. Make the most of the vineyards!! I'm in mourning over the half full (not half empty Wink) bottle of wine in the fridge! Fx for you!

eurochick · 18/05/2011 11:17

Congrats Bun!

Lugsie · 18/05/2011 10:56

Bun thats fantastic news! Congratulations to you and your DP! Grin Four days early too! What test did you use? Oh I'm so pleased for you! Grin

BoogiesBunny · 18/05/2011 10:53

AHHHHHHHHHHH! BUN!!! Amazing - I am so SO happy for you!!!!! You really do have a bun in the oven!!!!!! What a wonderful start to the day!!!

SWI has been in full swing with us. I had my monthly pain in my side yesterday (which I always take to be ov) - I'm feeling positive as this is our first month when we've really stuck to SWI during the key period. We might have a few more goes before finally getting some sleep this week! We are off to Italy on Monday which should ease the 2 week wait and, I'm sorry if I come across a bit naughty, but those vineyards are too good to miss! I hope I get a BFP this month!!!

BunMyOven · 18/05/2011 07:47

BFP! BFP!!!! I did a test this morning, four days before AF's due because I'm a glutton for punishment and it's only a friggin BFP! I had to show it to DP to make sure I wasn't seeing things Grin

I just can't believe it. and I'm already dying to tell everyone I know! We had a friend stay over last night and he was still here when I tested, I nearly told him 100000 times Grin

Lugsie · 17/05/2011 12:37

Oh poppy that would be lovely to get your BFP on your anniversary - fx for you Smile

I'm currently on CD29 of 30 - af is due on Thursday... I'm a bit confused because I normally have pre-af symptoms at this stage - sore boobs and a raging hunger, but I have nothing! Its all very strange. On the other hand though I recently got a new app on my phone called iPeriod (does anyone else use this?) and although I have inputted my last few cycles as being 30 days long, one or two slightly longer cycles before that has messed up my average, so iPeriod reckons my cycle this month will be a couple of days longer with af not being due until Saturday! Should make for an interesting couple of days as I wait to see if the app is right - although hopefully af won't arrive at all! Grin

I see from the list that theres quite a few of us with af due in the next few days, sending luck to everyone x

Poppyjen · 16/05/2011 20:23

Hi ladies

just updating my stats - Fertility Friend can't agree with itself about my O date and as I am AF-less and BFP-less I think it is doubtful I am actually 14 dpo today so I am going with its other "suggestion" that I ovulated a bit later so I am actually 6 dpo (confused? I am..... Confused )

Off on holiday on Friday which will be great but will definitely be packing those tests! My 2nd wedding anniversary is whilst we are away and it would be just lovely to get a BFP on that day....here's hoping! Smile

weimy · 15/05/2011 19:26

Thank you wouldbe :), still not totally sure what to do but AF not arrived yet still spotting so have 2 weeks to get head together.

OP posts:
BunMyOven · 15/05/2011 16:06

Sorry, very rambly post! and clearly I meant 'laid back' not 'layed back'! Blush

BunMyOven · 15/05/2011 15:56

Gosh Boogies I wish I knew the answer to that one! You would think that would be the case - that the hormonal change after implantation would change any pre-existing symptoms. It's just so difficult to tell though isn't it? Confused

I had an 'implantation dip' on my chart this morning (DPO 8), so that could be something or nothing....symptom spotting is a nightmare!
At the begining of my cycle I'm all optimistic and layed back about it all, OV time is exciting - a bit like a science experiment - and then rolls on the 2WW and all sanity goes out the window!
Why oh why do pre-menstrual symptoms have to be the same as early pregnancy symptoms?!

BoogiesBunny · 15/05/2011 14:58

Hey bun - don't give up just yet. And your post makes me think - you know the way implantation doesn't happen until 7-10days post ovulation? Well, does that mean that your regular 'symptoms' carry on as normal up until implantation (if it happens) i.e. whether or not an egg is fertilised? So, for example, my boobs start hurting immediately after ovulation until AF arrives - so, when the lucky month comes and I do get PG, I'd have sore boobs as normal, at least up until implantation?

BBx

BunMyOven · 14/05/2011 09:29

Looks really promising Poppy! Smile Fx for you!!

I starting getting sore boobs last night which, if last cycle is anything to go by, means AF is on her way. So not holding out much hope for this month.

eurochick · 14/05/2011 09:28

Oooo, that looks interesting Poppyjen.

(Although don't get your hope up too much - my last cycle was also triphasic. According to FF it happens on 12% of PG cycles and 4% of non-PG cycles. Trust me to be in the 4% minority!)

Poppyjen · 14/05/2011 07:27

on my Fertility Friend chart for those that think I am talking nonsense... Wink

Poppyjen · 14/05/2011 07:27

oooooh Triphasic pattern here

What do you think ladies?

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 13/05/2011 22:53

thanks BunMyOven, those links do look useful. and apologies to all for the TMI!! Blush

BunMyOven · 13/05/2011 21:15

Thanks for updating my name Wouldbe, I didn't think of that! WRT the clotting I had a quick google and found this, I had it on my 1st cycle after having my coil removed and had a really heavy period then it was fine again on my last AF when it returned back to a medium flow (I'm TMIing now too!). Maybe if you get heavy periods it could be that?
I also found this which might be useful for you (I'm on a Google frenzy tonight! Grin).

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 13/05/2011 20:28

hello ladies! congratulations Utterly - very excited for you - and great to have some good news on the thread!

sorry about AF dreaming and those of you getting BFNs Sad
FX for the blood test trope xx

weimy, really hope you don't give up - you got us all together by starting this thread, so do vent here if it will help - you've been here for us and we're here for you Smile

AF finished earlier this week, and I know I won't have ov'd yet, but with my cycle being so variable I'm taking no chances and started SWI on Tues, which was only CD5, but I've decided on a 'take no prisoners' approach this month, and the SWI needs to cover every cycle length eventuality from about 25 to 40. DH seems cheery enough about the programme Wink

I've tried to update the stats from the posts above, apologies if I've got you wrong or not updated.

Dreaming, I've stuck you above me as I'm estimating a 35 day cycle this month, it seems to creep up and then plummet, so 26, 28, 30/31, 35, 39, 26 or maybe I'm imagining some pattern into the madness.....

TMI warning - but I have a question - I've read somewhere that clots in your AF are a bad sign, and last AF I have just had lots of clots (major TMI Blush) but like gobs of blackcurrant jam - should I be worried, seeing the GP, or is it just all part of life's rich tapestry??? apologies for over-sharing, but it's cycle 5 now, and I know that's not ages, but I don't know whether to hold tight as it's just taking it's sweet time, or whether to think about getting some tests done - but don't want to stress us unnecessarily. not the sort of think I discuss with DH for obvious reasons (double Blush)

Hi all, it's OBeSomeOtherName here! Have namechanged because I was bored with my old NN and have finally gotten around to sorting out my profile a bit. Lugsie I see a coincidence has accurred here! Grin

Very sorry to hear about the BFP's! Sad

Utterly that is utterly (sorry) fantastic! Congratulations!!

Damn it Trope, what a position to be in! I really hope the athritis pisses off! Have a lovely time in Wales and try to take your mind off things a bit and relax (and say "bore da"/hi to the sheep from me! Grin)

UtterlyMonkey · 13/05/2011 15:31

Hello ladies,
just a quick note to say that following sore boobs, I tested positive - Im about 4-5wks? I hv my first check with midwife on the 24th. It's not sunk in yet - all a bit surreal, but very pleased and hope that all goes well.
Good luck everyone, big love and hugs from me and the little bun :-) xxx

trope · 13/05/2011 14:57

weimy - oh noes! So sorry to hear it hasn't happened for you again this month! I can't imagine how hard it must be to be trying for so long - but I do hope you don't give up! Would miss you on the thread! :)

I'm in the 2ww - FF can't make it's mind up about when I ovulated, it currently says last Sunday, but i'm pretty certain it was actually Saturday. Sadly my arthritis is playing up at the moment, so we're considering whether we should take a few months off trying - had a blood test on Wednesday to see how active my immune system is (that's what causes the arthritis, my immune system going nuts and attacking my body) so am waiting to get the results and will take it from there.

We kind of tried this month in the end, had SWI twice in the right period, but it was more by chance and laziness about being careful than design. Am in a weird kind of limbo where I want to be pregnant and I don't - it's not a great idea to get preg while it's active; higher risk of mc, higher risk of arthritis worsening in preg instead of going into proper remission naturally, higher risk of damaging my joints permanently etc etc. But at the same time, i'm 32 and not getting any younger and if it happens it happens - we'll just have to deal with it. Is quite the head fuck!

Anyways - i'm disappearing for a week now, DP and I are off on holiday with a bunch of my cousins & uncle to deepest darkest wales (well, the llyn peninsula) where it is forecast to rain and rain and rain. So i'm taking scrabble. And lots of books. We have no internet access there, so I shall be gone from the thread till next weekend. At least it should take my mind of the 2ww!

I'm hoping that we have some BFPs on the thread by the time I get back! We could all do with some good news about now!

weimy · 13/05/2011 13:38

AF finally got me, 8 days late. Had a feeling it was game over because all the symptoms disappeared. Maybe I had a little egg but it didnt develop properly. Onwards and upwards, it was only our first month & we have lots of time to make another super egg!
