Getting us started on a new thread; this one is gonna be a lucky one!

battery sorry about bfn, fingers crossed it was just too early and there's a bfp waiting for when your dp gets home too.

mouse sorry you're having to go through all this. I'm no expert on supplements etc but I believe vitamin B6 can regulate hormones etc and possibly agnus castus?? Maybe best to wait for someone a bit more knowledgable to turn up though

Have you considered acupuncture? I believe that can help regulate periods etc and it places a huge emphasis on blood supply/ flow etc. It may help to shift those clots and get your cycle back on track. hth xx

mousebacon · 24/03/2011 20:11

Evening all, it's quiet today.

Scan showed blood clots still there. They've packed me off to try and have a period to see if that clears it and they're going to scan me again in 6 weeks.

So... I have a cupboard full of vitamins. Can anyone recommend a list of supplements I should be taking to encourage my body to do what it should? I have poly cystic ovaries and irregular cycles if that makes any difference.

My last proper period was 16th July 2010!!!!

All help much appreciated xxx

Battery Glad AF hasnt arrived that is good news, hope you are keeping sane during the wait.

Jolls oh no! poor DS! After a christmas bout of travel sickness I discovered that catching it in a very wide bowl is a lot easier than a bag. Hope he gets well soon.xx

Chloe meds are stopping me from puking, but dont stop the feeling of nausea. At least I can eat and drink (though its a bit forced as I dont enjoy much) and I am not getting dehydrated so thats good. But the never ending nausea is just maddening! I think its actually pretty constant, but sometimes if feels so much worse - I am sure its just my tolerance wearing thin when I am tired and emotional. At least I have been reassured that there is a healthy bean at the mo, so it feels worth the suffering.

jolls tigger thanks for the fibroid stories, they really do seem to be quite common. Dr google is being reassuring too, apart from showing gruesome pictures Apparently they grown when stimulated by hormones, so I probably grew with one when on the high dose HRT in December. Pregnancy might make it grow more too, so I'll just have to watch it.

Caribou Hello! thanks for thinking of me Smile how are you going? All well i hope xxx

Youremindmeofthebabe · 24/03/2011 12:57

Oh no jollsSad We had one of those last week or so. Hope he gets better soon, neither vomiting, or having to clear it up are fun...

randomimposter · 24/03/2011 12:47

MummyA so sorry you've had this worry. Close friend had a massive (HOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEE) fibroid only discovered when she was pregnant. Grew and grew as baby did and needed monitoring, but all was fine, and their DS is now 18 months.

I also have one, discovered when scanned first time with DS. It's never grown at all unlike all other bits of me sadly.

Hope everyone ok - have a poorly DS who is demonstrating how fast and far he can vomit. Happy days.

tiggersreturn · 24/03/2011 12:39

Mummya - my MIL apparently had huge fibroids with dh which blocked his exit but obviously he was born and is now quite a big boy Grin

Chloe55 · 24/03/2011 11:13

Well, I will still keep my fingers crossed battery

Great news on the scan and meds mummya - are they helping at all?

Youremindmeofthebabe · 24/03/2011 09:38

here I am :)

Sorry it is my day off so trying to have a lie in but failed! So I had to get up in the night to pee and BFN. However, I am not too down - I am not due till saturday, and temps are still sky high and no symptoms of AF (I usually start with cramps 2 days before) - in my book it aint over till AF arrives :) -stand by for depression to land on saturday if AF arrives then!

mummy glad the scan was good - hello to everyone else too - sorry to have kept you waiting, will check back later as my computer is on a go slow!

Phew mummyA, glad it's all fine. I can go to sleep now.

Waves to all, will do a proper catch up in the morning.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/03/2011 23:27

mummya thank goodness for that, fantastic news Grin

Don't worry too much about the fibroids, I had two not insignificant ones spotted on a scan when pg with ds; I was told they shouldn't be a problem and they weren't. I was also told sometimes they come and go when pg. No one's ever mentioned them since so I assume they went! Smile

bee glad you're enjoying having your mum around Smile

MummyAbroad · 23/03/2011 23:19

Had a scan and heard the heartbeat, am happily guzzling the anti nausea meds with no guilt now. The sonographer told me I had a mioma (fibroid) 2.6cm big. Dr google tells me that between 50 and 80% of women have them, but then in the same breath that they bring and increased risk of miscarriage and tend to grow in pregnancy.Hmm Havent got any energy left to do any worrying though, I used it all up getting to the clinic!

Its lovely to hear everyone is enjoying the sunshine, I think its been everyones most mentioned topic online today!

Ladybee · 23/03/2011 23:04

Hi all,
Zam don't let the mentalling get you down - it's bad, bad in the beginning, but do try to just take it one day at a time, don't try to project or forecast what will happen tomorrow, just keep going, take it as it comes.

hairy I think it's a good result too - reduced at 43 seems appropriate but not disastrous. Good to see you are starting to come out of the black as well, it's awful. My last, which was when the testing happened, was definitely worse than this one.

MummyA I was just teasing a little, I know you will be looking after her and are suffering - sounds like the sickness is ramping up, awful. I really really hope that bleed is harmless and short-lived. Will you scan?

loola glad that the metformin is reducing your cycle length, it does help mine...must just start it up again, again. Don't worry about the cycle no. in the long run, when you've got the baby you won't care whether it was 8, 9, 15 cycles.

hi Digi

jolls shoulder squeeze for coping (wo)manfully in the midst of all that fecundity.

chloe It's lovely to have my mum around - even if it's just sharing the load of DS. And DH has been extra good since the weekend, so we're happy if a little crowded in our little house Smile

BBB really sorry you're feeling down and are also surrounded by constant reminders of what you're trying to achieve. That's so hard. I was talking about it with a friend today, and we agreed that it's one of the worst feelings, you feel crap, then feel crap for feeling crap so it's double whammy of crapness.

Nice day today, I think I even got a little sunburn, or as I prefer to think of it, topped up the ol' vitamin D levels nicely. Lots and lots of walking, and I think I'll be a bit sore in the morning. But a good sore.

loola2shus · 23/03/2011 22:38

Mummya where are you!? Hope everything went ok x

CaribouMoo · 23/03/2011 21:37

Shit MummyA, hope you are alright. Was it spotting or bleeding? i know it will frighten the life out of you but Nicks is right, I've seen so many others on here with bleeds that are all absolutely fine. Try to keep calm, are you getting a scan?

Jolls and BB my heart goes out to you. I remember at one point people announcing their pregnancies at work and me thinking that I wasn't even happy for them. I wasn't unhappy for them either but couldn't have said that I was genuinely pleased either. Its so hard and so shitty for you, I would give anything to see you get the babies you deserve after what you've had to endure.

Hi Hairy, hope you're ok pal - been thinking about you. Good to have you back. Hope you're ok too Digi and will be up to posting soon x

Good luck for testing Batttery!
