Pregnancy - what symptoms and when?

Yes, I know there are a million thread containing this info but I just want to see a list of other people's symptoms and when they got them. It's silly I know but I feel better reading the whole variety of things that can happen and whether you were aware of being pg straight away or in ignorant bliss!
I've made myself feel a bit better this month. With dd, I was convinced I'd had sore boobs from 10 days after conception so I've been waiting for this to happen. Found an old calendar the other day and I didn't actually get sore boobs until week 5 and then tested week 6, so there's hope for me this month yet, maybe.
Boobs are tender but not desperately sore but I'm SO tired it's untrue. Went to bed for an hour yesterday afty and slept with dd sitting next to me watching Jungle Book. Talk about unfit mother! Due for AF tomorrow.
Come on then, please: what symptoms and when?!

ooh i am v excited (see other thread on boots tests) as i am late, really feel pregnant but got neg test result this morning. could it be then then i don't have much preg hormone in me?

OK - news update - I'm not but friend is. Despite getting negative test results for over two weeks, hers finally went pink.

Both times, between conception and expected period, I felt freezing cold and craved diet coke. Never had sore boobs, always had horrible 'period like pains and was completely knackered. Good luck!

isitpossible. yes it is! i had sore boobs a few days after conceiving, squeezed the nipples hard and got clear fluid from them!! try it! also got twinges early on in abdomen. tiredness came a week or 2 later.

Countess D - nothing new to report - no af - but no positive test. Had to do a sample for doctors which is being sent off to a lab where, I presume, some spotty herbert will stick a Clear Blue test in to it and get, no doubt, the same result. Am wondering whether it would have made more sense to have a blood test done - anyone know if these are more sensitive to phantom pregnancies? Anyhow, will know more in a few days!

Has anyone had symptoms within a day or two of conceiving? I have had unusually tender breasts for the last week and a very strange "taste" in my mouth. The earliest I could test is next Saturday. Just wondering if anyone has had symptoms very early on - could just be wishful thinking of course.

CD and Fisil - mmmm, kind of think that if it happens I'll just go with the flow - as long as the tide doesn't take me anywhere near C&W!! My only concern is that I've had a ectopic in the past (long time ago) and negative tests can be a sign of this, but think am worrying unnecessarily. Anyhow, will keep you posted.

It would seem that I have discovered a new theory as regards conception:
"The desire to get pregnant is directly proportional to the tricks your body will play on you in its journey towards your next period."
So, after a lifetime of a normal 28 day cycle and unspectacular periods, since ttc my whole cycle is up the swannie.
I only ever had sore boobs when I was pg: now I've started getting them before I come on; this month they were VERY tender.
I've only ever been exactly on time with AF or 1/2 days early: I'm currently on Day 31, with dreadful period pain but no bleeding yet. However, I've had a "dirty smudge" of something, so I take it AF is on her way.
Do you think, if I say " Balls to it, I'm giving up trying" loudly enough my body will hear and start being nice to me again?!

Oh, and fyi I have had this 3 times in the last 6 months and it never amounted to anything, so you may not be in for a surprise. On the other hand...

Excuse double posting - but curious as to what people think...

Well, I wasn't exactly trying to get pregnant but... am now at least a week late but pregnancy test says no go. Weirdly, best mate is also going through phantom pregnancy - ten days late but no positive test. Just been to a kids party where one of the mums said she didn't get a positive test until about six weeks in. Are we about to get the surprise of our lives? Let me know your thoughts!

I was ttc for about 1.5 years, gave up and got pregnant 1.5 years after that. Since January isn't that long. I know what you mean about every little sign though. It's pants innit.

Still no AF - now 2 days late I think. Had a funny period (yeah, they're hilarious aren't they?) last month: 3 days spotting then loads of pain and suspected ruptured ovarian cyst altho pelvic scan couldn't detect any "debris". That all started around the 19/20th Aug, so I thought I'd be due on 17/18th Sept. Bought a tesco's pg test this afty and took the test when I got home. Was almost convinced it'd be +ive but it wasn't!! Boobs still sore and getting mild shooting pains in them now. Slightly twingey ovary ache but nothing strong. Still feel knackered. Still not entirely convinced I'm not pg but then also feeling like some sort of deluded idiot. I know we've only been ttc since Jan but, as someone has said on another thread, this seems like YEARS at the moment! Sorry for sounding selfish to those who've been ttc for longer.

Period pains when you are due. Sore breasts 14 days after conception for me. Apart from the sore boobs, I didn't feel pregnant. I even got cramps/heavy feeling & mild backache signifying that I was going to have a period. Obviously at 38 weeks I didn't. Oh and lots of bleeding on/off red/brown.

Bunny2, I'm glad to hear that about period pains. I have gritty eyes, sounds promising, but also little scrapey period pains. Oh, I can't wait til Tuesday. I want to know now!

It has been a while for me, but this is what I remember. Utter and complete exhaustion, it was like someone pulling the shade down on my consciousness and having the blackest darkest sleep. Fine needle pricks in my uterus, nasal congestion, odd responses to smells. Boobs became sensitive, very hard around the outside of thembecame progressively worse until I fantasized about cutting them off with a chef-sized wusthof knife (this came at about 8 weeks). At about 9 weeks all I wanted was to be placed in a cold, dark caveno talking, no interruptions, just sleep, with food shoved into the entrance of the cave at regular intervals. I craved stuffing and cranberry sauce during the first 12 weeks. I remember the needle pricks in my uterus changing to the feeling that someone was rubbing the inside of my uterus with a bit of steel wool--I had a great time fantasizing about what bits of things that my daughter was using to play on her chalkboard in there!
