its ok mums - he passed away saturday night, me and mom were with him, it was very peaceful, and the best thing for him really, he was unhappy and very poorly. his body wasn't strong enough to fight the infections he kept getting, so he got more and more, the hospital did all they could for him, and we were expecting him to go at some point.
Still sad though.

mumswish · 25/10/2005 14:28

Oh Did's - I didnt know your grandad had died, I'm so sorry. I hope your ok.

Diddle · 25/10/2005 14:23

mums - they don't promise, and i think she might have given me one if i hadn't had one friday, but i had to tell her about it because she knew started bleeding. oh well as long as i get one, i don't mind at least with a private one i can go on the weekend.

Diddle · 25/10/2005 14:22

thanks carly, been a tough year for me, be glad when its over

carly82 · 25/10/2005 14:16

just before i go diddle i read on another thread that your grandfather passed away just wanted to say how very sorry i am and my thoughts are with you and your family

mumswish · 25/10/2005 14:16

see you later carly and congrats

Diddle - can you not make them give you one? I thought thats what the NHS promised if you mc'd twice?

Diddle · 25/10/2005 14:13

thanks spub - think i'm in total shock about grandad, cried a lot when we were with him when he went, but since then i haven't really criedm which is not like me i normally cry at nothing. so i think its gonna hit me at the funeral.

Told the midwife the scan was for reassurance, but she advised we got a private one, useless, but at least i know we'll get one.

carly82 · 25/10/2005 14:13

MW lol
am going to love you and leave you all for a while got to do some shopping (of the boring variety not retail!) i will pop on later byyeee!!!

mumswish · 25/10/2005 14:10

yeh, they dig in a bit dont they. ever so comfortable leaning on the walls tho isnt it?

carly82 · 25/10/2005 14:08

MW do you mean the ones with the funny buckles on? lol
DIDDLE i think you should go back to your m/w and tell her the scan is more for reassurance than measurement, if she still doesnt agree i would def pay for a private scan if only for piece of mind

mumswish · 25/10/2005 14:05

oh I'm so happy for you diddle. I remember my green book, I read it 10 x dozen times, so interesting.

Think we can get the mortgage we want but its £528 per month. Which we can afford but you know, it would be nicer if it was lower

spub · 25/10/2005 14:04

Diddle - Can't believe that after you've had 2 m/c's they won't give you a reassurance scan. Bas**rds. I'd be tempted to invent a small bleed though I know that it's a horrid thing to do and is almost like tempting fate.
Meant to say sorry about your granddad.

Diddle · 25/10/2005 13:57

hi ladies

maddyd - sorr about your bfn, but i know you know it may be too early and there is still hope, just so long as you get in that gorgeous wedding dress you'll be fine.

carly - Congrats hun, well done you, sounds very positive, but i would definitly do a test tomorrow too.

Had my visit with the midwife, didn't get me an early scan I have to wait until 11 wks, as apparently for dating purposes they wouldn't be able to measure accurately enough, what a load of rubbish i want it for reassurance not dating. So as i'm only 7 1/2 wks i think if we get to 9 wks we will book another private scan. Anyway she did all my paperwork and sent me home with my green pregnancy book so i'm happy for now.

hope everyone else is ok.
Mums - mortgages confuse the hell out of me, hope you manage to get the one you want though.

mumswish · 25/10/2005 13:50

oh yeh I know the one. They tend to make you wear lovely warm coats, only prob is they hurt your arms abit dont they

carly82 · 25/10/2005 13:35

God if any outsider (ie a bloke) read this thread they would think that we are crazy and in my case they wouldnt be that far from the truth lol!!! i got a lovely little room booked for me in a little home i think they said the decor consisted mainly of padding

mumswish · 25/10/2005 13:31

lol, its terrible isnt it.

The only difference between me & u, is I'm determined I cant be pg yet because I've had no af for nearly 6 wks (pill etc) so therefore in my mind until I get my first af I cant be pg and thats what I keep telling myself to stop me reading my symptoms! LOL

maddyd · 25/10/2005 13:25

Mumswish i have loads of symptoms too and i always put them down to something else.
I know i had a nap yesterday and could today aswell but i do get very tired before my af, as for my boobs sometimes they are sore ans sometimes not.Sometimes i think its like grasping at straws. I did have alot of ab pain thougg since ov, but then again my womb region has been through alot in the past 4 weeks.

Sorry girls but even if I do get a bfp I cant tell you till Monday monring cos I got no net access except at work.

I could analyse symptoms too. My nips r killing me and my boobs are falling out of this bra (they're bigger) my abdomen is sore (but thats this thing I've got, I think) so theres loads of symptoms there but I've got them all explained.

Mygirl - I'm glad you enjoyed your cinema day, shame about the noise.

maddyd · 25/10/2005 12:46

I think its sooo funny that a sore throat is classed as a pg sign
