Congrats fr00tbat Grin.

Can't help on the ewcm business, I don't check and don't know if I get any, there was white stuff in my knickers on day 13 so I told ff it was ewcm so I could enter something but I think I was fibbing.

Cd19, no symptoms at all. I guess I am into the 1ww got zumba, pilates, dog training and horseriding booked for next week that should while away the time Hmm

hope you are all ok :)

Scrummybumb · 08/05/2011 11:06

Wow fr00tbat congratulations! I know you've only just joined us, but like you said, been trying for over a year, so it really is great news and must be a bit unreal.

bossy well done for booking the tests. I know what you mean by your emotions. I'm glad ive got my appointments but at the same time wish i didn't. Just feel a bit apprehensive I guess on what they may find. Maybe ignorance could be a blessing? I know I won't cancel and will go all the way if need be (assisted route that is), but still....I mentioned to DH that I might stop charting and using OPKs seen as my cycles are so regular. I might just move to keeping an eye on CM and have loads of SWI. We'll see.

newgold I fear I can't offer any advice. I've only managed to spot EWCM once and that was few cycles ago. I do get lumpy creamy stuff shortly after ovulation (yikes)

I'm still spotting, at 9CD Confused and no sign of any fertile CM this morning Sad. We did put in a good effort this morning though.....

Good morning and waves to everyone else!

bossyboop · 08/05/2011 09:33

Fr00tbat congratulations, so inconsiderate shop opening hours on a sunday as well! So exciting Smile

HSG in a weeks time, blood test in 3 weeks time and see gyn in 7 weeks time, so much to look forward to Hmm Things could be worse though, im not complaining just frustrated and tired and just a teeny bit fed up.

Newgolddream · 08/05/2011 09:30

Forgot to mention Ive got a query about EWCM. I usuallt get 2 good days when it shows up pre ovualtion, very thin, stretchy and long. But today (Im 4 DPO) its came back I think only its like very thick EW if you see what I mean, like coagulating in lumps. Does anyone know if this is normal? I put it into FF as EWCM and its made my cross lines dotted now.

Newgolddream · 08/05/2011 09:24

Good luck fr00tbat - do you have a link to your chart? love looking at othersSmile

With my last DS I had a very faint but visible line at 9 DPO that slowly got darker (I carried on POAS for weeks Blush)

Like weimy my temp sometimes stays right up and doesnt drop till CD1/2 and my LP varies by a few days. Was worried about this because lowest was 10, highest 13 but as scrummy says 10 and over is ok. It must be if I got a BFP at only 9 DPO as if it wasnt there wouldnt have been enough time for it to implant by that point.

bossyboop - glad youve booked your blood test, Im still thinking about it.

jaggythistle · 08/05/2011 07:40

Woo!

hope it's a nice strong line soon for you :) fr00tbat

fr00tbat · 08/05/2011 06:58

Thankyou - poas this am as temps even higher- faint bfp at 10 mins- got dh to check and he agreed - not sure i believe it- had always thought when this day finally came that result would be more obvious and definitive- going to buy more tests when shops open- scared!

weimy · 07/05/2011 20:08

Thats good news bossy :), hopefully some answers soon xx

bossyboop · 07/05/2011 18:18

blood test booked. I've been a good girl and gone for CD24 (gyn said CD21-26) though looking at my charts I could be ovulating CD19 so in that case 5dpo is too early but at least I have done as I am told and anyway my only other option due to bank hol weekend was CD28 which would have been too late. Oh the drama and confusion!

weimy · 07/05/2011 18:06

Yep thats right :)

Scrummybumb · 07/05/2011 17:43

Oh, and i understand you can take vitamin B6 to try and lengthen your LP. Anything over 10 days is ok though!

weimy · 07/05/2011 16:53

welcome fr00tbat,

My temps sometimes stay up right until Cd1 and my lp has varied by a couple of days here or there.

Scrummybumb · 07/05/2011 11:24

Welcome fr00tbat! It could be text book implantation (trying not to get you too excited). I suffered a week worth of spotting couple of cycles ago until AF arrived properly. Your temps will stay up until your period start proper. I now think this could have been down to lower levels of progesterone that particular cycle. FX it's implantation instead

jaggythistle · 07/05/2011 10:56

hi fr00tbat, welcome to a very nice friendly thread. :)
think lp is normally a similar length each time. mine is 12 days on average, had an 11 and a 13 or 2.

not sure about the spotting, sorry.

fingers crossed it's a good sign for you and temp stays up. :)

fr00tbat · 07/05/2011 10:47

Hi- please can i join you. Am 32, using cbfm and charting, ttc >1 year, no male issues! Irregular cycles 30-38 and occasional anovulatory cycle. Initial bloods normal - awaiting referral to fertility clinic!
Anyway: now 10 dpo, brown spotting since 8dpo, now due af for 2 more days, cramping, v sore bbs and cream crackered, but temps still high- had a dip at 7dpo, but back up higher afterward.feel like af will be here any second. Have a couple of questions for experienced charters:
Does lp change ? I know is not supposed to- but concerned mine is inadequate!
Why is temp still up if spotting?
Anything i can try to lengthen lp prior to ling wait for clinic appt?
Thanks

Scrummybumb · 07/05/2011 10:21

Morning all!

Molly you really have got a lot on your plate. Make sure you take time out to relax when you get the opportunity. I have my Fx that that the interview went well. Gosh, new house, new job - sounds like a new life Smile

mrsA good to hear from you again and thanks for your good wishes. I too want to see us all get our BFP ASAP. Such a bunch of nice women deserve to be mum's, first, second, third or even fourth time around!

I'm still spotting, but with some watery stuff with it. So, I've started to build up my reserves for next week Wink. Got Zita's book yesterday and am about half-way through it. Am going to try and get DH to read it. Easier said than done!

Newgolddream · 06/05/2011 23:34

auntiedoris - good for you! Im keeping lots crossed for you Smile

AuntieDoris · 06/05/2011 23:14

((molly)) hang in there hon.

newgolddream I am tempted to test but I am going to resist this month. I hope! I usually have a 28ish day cycle, although my LP is usually about 14 days so maybe I will have a short cycle this time.

weimy · 06/05/2011 18:44

Hello everyone!

Thank goodness it is the weekend Grin, I for one am shattered.

molly hope the interview was not too horrible xx

Newgolddream · 06/05/2011 15:09

Molly - so sorry again for what has happened but at least you sound as if you are dealing with it, I personally feel it doesnt matter early the loss was - its important to grieve for it, its like grieving a loss of hopes and dreams to.

weimy - thanks. Wink I think that will be on my swi break now thank god.

auntied - 14 DPO? Are you tempted to test yet?

Ifatfirst and bossyboop - sorry that AF showed for you both, its crap.

scrummy - Big Grin @ "do they know how much effort......." - I was a bit open mouthed at that to actually about the white cells! Like you I was hoping to see somethign about implantation.

mrsarch - good to hear from you and you are both keeping well!

pipbin - yes I would count it as Sunday. I got my knickers ina twist about tbis a few months abck as I became obsessed that I had missed out on a swi day by 15 minutes because it happened at quarter past midnight! Grin

bossyboop · 06/05/2011 14:16

Molly it sounds like you have a lot on your plate at the mo and really hope the rest of it is all easier, good luck for your interview! There's always people here to talk to who understand. Will join you with the onwards and upwards thing anyone else coming?!

MollyDefoe · 06/05/2011 14:09

Thanks so much for your lovely comments - it really helps having these threads to write on, as other than DP and best friend, no-one else knows in RL. This last week has just been crazy: I always knew it was going to be busy, as I had a huge writing deadline on Sunday, and then 2 more deadlines at the end of this weekend, plus 2 job interviews. But what we hadn't planned for was buying a house too (and the vendor is putting a lot of pressure on us to exchange on Monday, less than a week after we put the offer in!), and getting pg (albeit briefly). The whole week has just been a rollercoaster of emotions - the house looked like it was going to fall through, but now I hope (touch wood) it will be OK. But there's been so much to sort out with solicitors, finances, surveys etc. So, if it makes sense, I'm not sure I've really had time to properly absorb the fact that on Monday I was pg, and now I'm not. I had a good cry about it yesterday, but I suspect it will hit me properly next week. But I am still trying to feel philosophical: it was only our second cycle, and a mc means there was probably something terribly wrong with the fertilised egg. And the stress of this week can't have helped. So onwards and upwards (once I've stopped bleeding).

Sorry for the self-absorbed essay. Am currently at the job interview, and have been given an office to myself until the interview itself in an hour or so's time - so am whiling away the time on MN!

  • thanks for being wonderful support.
mrsden · 06/05/2011 11:04

so sorry molly Sad

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 06/05/2011 10:41

Hi all. Have been luking on the thread every so often. Many congrats to SES.

Molly I am so sorry for your news and hope you take care of yourself.

Sorry to those who are on CD1-5. A crap place to be.
It seems just so unfair that some people don't get that bfp when they are doing everything they can. I remember how supportive you all were when I was TTC No2 and it seemed to take forever. I truly wish you all get your bfps - you dserve them so much.

I am almost 12 weeks eek! It feels like it's taken forever to get here (got bfp on 9 March) but I also know that once I hot about 14 weeks, things will start to fo very very fast!

bossyboop · 06/05/2011 10:03

Molly you have every right to be sad, I would have a good cry then be philosophical too just to help get through it. I like the prayer of serenity - accept the things you cannot change and change the things you can. Sometimes believing things are out of your control can sometimes help you get through but don't bottle up those emotions.

I was also thinking of stopping ttc (again) and thinking of just taking a break for a couple of months (again). Apparently you can be more fertile after hsg as it can shift small blockages. So DH suggested 2 more cycles. We've come this far, Oct 2009 till now so why not, 2 more then I am taking back control and choosing to stop.
