ochaye - YEH!! and thanks to you and vintagenancy for thoughts x

Im a Psychiatric Nurse working in a day clinic, its for the NHS and you get good days and bad days - its not as physically exhausting as when I worked in the wards but its very emotionally draining at time, still generally love it though.

jaggythistle · 02/03/2011 22:31

i do a really specific job and am paranoid about being anonymous so will have to think of how to describe it vaguely!

level · 02/03/2011 22:31

Hi Auntie D - how exciting! What's your TTC situation?

I was referred to Seacroft (I think). No idea what it's like but it's the main place. It's miles from my work which is a pain as it's hard for me to get time off and I don't want to tell work I'm TTC.

level · 02/03/2011 22:29

Mrs Arch just read your post. I'm a solicitor. I work at a commercial law firm (i.e. for companies rather than individuals) and specialise in employment law.

AuntieDoris · 02/03/2011 22:28

I am a drug practitioner - I work with chaotic homeless people who use shed-loads of drugs. Always a fascinating/nauseating/entertaining/stressful job.

I live in Leeds too Level. Where did you get a referral to in the end?

level · 02/03/2011 22:26

ochay yey!!!

Well you leave for a few days and there's a whole new thread at 6 pages already!

I suppose I've been in a bit of a sulk because AF arrived 5 days ago.

I'm on cycle 18 (although the first 6 or so were a bit half hearted). Been to the docs and all the first stages tests are fine (bloods and SA).

I've been referred to the fertility clinic and have an appt on 28 March. I can't believe how much choice you get (I live in Leeds). The GP asked me where I wanted to go - I had no clue - what do I know about hospitals?!

Fingers crossed for all those testing tomorrow! xx

It's funny because in real life I get really pissed off when I hear about people getting pregnant, but on here I want it for everyone.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 02/03/2011 22:25

ochaye oh wow!!! Congrats. Let's hope the vibes rub off on us all.

jaggy you better be updating early tomorrow!!!

I'm 38 too, 39 at the end of the month, eeek. Really wanted to be pg before i was 39, now will settle for giving birth before I'm 40. Probably this time next year I'll settle for getting pg before 40!
Poor DD, she'd make a great big sister.

This is a very friendly thread (and so it should be). You all sound like you have interesting jobs - references to patients, night time offices etc. can I be nosey and ask what jobs everyone does, I love finding out stuff like that.

For my sins, I'm an accountant but am not too boring honestly!

ochaye oh wow, posted and missed your update! exciting!!:o

VintageNancy · 02/03/2011 21:49

Evening, first time I've posted since the new thread (mind you only posted twice in last one!)...

FF reckons I'm 4DPO but my temp rise coincided with when my husband got home from 2 weeks away (so my body temp might have been up from the extra body in bed!). And I got EWCM on 2DPO. So guess we'll see how next couple of temps go.

chartness

Sorry that AF came newgold and you're feeling crap :(

jaggy - exciting! FX for next POAS.

ochaye · 02/03/2011 21:42

I have been doing a very bad job of keeping up and this thread seems to have picked up this week which is making my inability even worse!

Sorry af got you Newgold and Karbea Sad. Essence - your chart is looking promising. It only takes once if you time it right?

This thread is going to be HOT tomorrow morning! I've lost track ... jaggy, essence, twizzle, bossyboop ... did I get that right? All poas in the morning?

I have a story but I'll not bore you with the detail. Anyway, the short version is that I poas when I got home from work and against the odds 2 lines showed up straight away. I couldn't stop looking at it and let myself be happy because I know it won't be long before I start worrying.

jaggy - you are SO going to the supermarket on the way home ...St Davids

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 02/03/2011 21:38

Yep - Lovely bunch on here :) Temp slightly up this morning, lets hope it continues to rise! www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3

twizzlestix · 02/03/2011 21:35

Not that I'd be able to resist in your situation tbh Grin

jaggythistle · 02/03/2011 21:22

I am in no way going to the 24hr supermarket on the way home...

Newgolddream · 02/03/2011 21:10

essenceofSES · 02/03/2011 20:45

Scrummybumb · 02/03/2011 20:43

Me too Smile

jaggythistle · 02/03/2011 20:41

Can I just say I love this thread Grin

It is awfy nice and friendly and I have felt very welcome since I skipped here off whatever bus it was.

Scrummybumb · 02/03/2011 20:41

twizzle it's my age - 38 - and my nature of wanting to be in control that leading me to try and learn everything under the sun in record time.
I even went to see my gp when we decided and i think my first words were: so how long have i got before I'm too old for IVF on NHS.

Although feeling fairly relaxed about it all this month (it shows, doesn't it? Wink)

jaggythistle · 02/03/2011 20:36

don't encourage me!!

I was spotted on Mumsnet today by a collegue - will have to be more secretive...don't think he saw my username from across the room though. :O

Scrummybumb · 02/03/2011 20:35

jaggy essence - noted
Lol Was going to make some xmas jokes, but they all sounded really rubbish

twizzlestix · 02/03/2011 20:34

By loses I meant bfn not m/c realised that may be misinterpreted

twizzlestix · 02/03/2011 20:34

weimy I ve done that before Blush in front of an advisor Blush so I guess we're both emotionally incontinent!

Don't worry scrummy before too long you'll know way too much about TTC and all the ways your body plays tricks on you. My loveliest of lovely friends who is mother of 2!! I'll say it again 2!! Had no idea when she ovulated or anything and was updiffed cycle 2 with pfb and cycle 1 (after one BD Envy with no 2. She didn't even poas til was 2 weeks late, i wish I could be so relaxed!

You don't know until you have to due to tonnes of loses. Well that's what happened in my case anyway sorry if projecting :)
