That is a pain doris - did you nip into boots today and get another one? Am sure one missed temp won't make a difference to overall chart.

I had ewcm yesterday and nothing today. But negatives on the opk's so clearly body deciding not to have a luteal surge just yet. It's so tedious trying to ttc with long cycles. Dh and I have decided to swi every day till temp rise. It seemed to work last time and would like to minimise the number of cycles I'm on steroids - so here we go...

AuntieDoris · 18/05/2011 06:29

Gah. BBT thermometer has broken this morning.

Poppyjen · 16/05/2011 20:38

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 16/05/2011 20:36

Hi digitalgirl sorry that you've found yourself back here again. Hopefully it's just a flying visit and the steroids work their magic! :)

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 16/05/2011 20:20

bmrocks and jaggy same person? like a superhero alter ego? Wink

Poppyjen · 16/05/2011 16:55

Hi ladies

Thank you so much for your thoughts on my chart - I have switched it to "research" method now to show ovulation on CD 37 as as far as I can tell AF won't be here any time soon and there's no BFP in sight....

digitalgirl I did have horrid cramps on CD37-39 and I see what you guys are talking about regarding the temps - although there was a shift on CD29 the temps never really got a lot higher than the previous ones but after CD38 its a whole different story. If you take O day as CD37 or 38 then my chart looks a lot more like a proper biphasic one with an obvious shift. Also the temps got a lot less jagged if you know what I mean which would say to me that something else is going on. (maybe I am reading too much into it Confused )

So I will take it that I am 6 DPO today, luckily we managed to DTD roughly about the right time so I guess we're still in with a chance! That's the problem with long irregular cycles - you never know when its safe to have an early night with a good book instead of well, you know.....

bmrocks hooray for 2ww buddies, I'll be in Greece on holiday (laying off the wine and cocktails Sad just in case) when its time to test but I'll be excitedly awaiting your news when I get back :) I may well sneak in to somewhere with WIFI if I have good news to let you all know.... Wink

jaggythistle · 16/05/2011 16:47

Hello ladies, wondered if I could rejoin this thread. I recognise some of you from when I was last on it in January

Am about to start ttc again after I had a miscarriage in March with my last bfp at 8 weeks. My fourth loss Sad, but I'm now under a private consultant and will be taking steroids from ovulation to hopefully prevent that happening again. I usually ovulate day 23-25 but am now taking metformin so hoping this will shorten my cycle. Hence any day from the next few days till about cd26 I'll be scrutinising my chart wondering if I've ovulated.

chart here I know I've not ovulated yet. But I'm sure by this time next week I'll be drumming my fingers and trying not to retake my temperature when it inevitably hasn't risen as much as I want it to.

poppy I vote for cd38. Probably not what you wanted to hear but if you've had bfn's then the shift from cd38 must be your post-ov shift rather than a triphasic shift. I know how frustrating it can be - my last ovulation happened around a similar time (post miscarriage), but it was really obvious to me had tell tale cramp/bloating, had loads of ewcm two days before. Did you feel anything around cd38 that could have signalled ovulation?

weimy · 16/05/2011 13:14

Poppy I agree with Jaggy.

cd27 still spotting wish I could just move on arrrgh!!!!!

jaggythistle · 16/05/2011 08:43

I'd have guessed CD29 or 30 if I was playing the FF guess the ovulation day game :)

fingers crossed!

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/jaggythistle

nothing exciting for me at only 6DPO.

Poppyjen · 16/05/2011 08:35

Morning ladies Smile

My chart temps are still high, and allegedly 14 DPO today with no sign of AF (yet...) however if I change the detector mehod on Fertility Friend to "research" or "FAM" it changes my o date to much later putting me at 5 or 6 dpo today. Confused I am destined to be 2ww-ing forever and ever...

At least if its a BFN over the next few days I will still feel I am in with a shot if the later date is true Smile although that would involve taking my tests with me on holiday - there's no way I could leave it until I got back Wink

I used the "VIP lounge" forum thing to ask the FF guide about my chart and they think most likely o date is CD29, although could be CD30, CD37 or CD38. Why are these things so complicated??

What do you guys think? (chart is here

weimy · 15/05/2011 19:31

duck sorry about af :(

bossy glad things weren't too difficult x

Thanks scrummy, Af still not arrived and I am still spotting but it's only cd26 so I guess mon or tue and then I can move on.

duckdodgers · 15/05/2011 18:25

jaggy and scrummy - Ive started doing that to Blush as Ive just updated to full member of FF.

jaggythistle · 15/05/2011 13:51

oh I've done other people's chart's too. Grin

there are several hours of my life from the last few months that i seriously wasted...

Scrummybumb · 15/05/2011 13:14

jaggy I'm playing the comparison game too, only on others charts. Apparently I have 26% chance of pregnancy. Now where have I heard that stat before Hmm

jaggythistle · 15/05/2011 12:53

sorry duck :(

glad that's over for you bossy

5dpo here, so nothing to report. yet again trying to tone down the obsessive thinking during 2ww. i have definitely got the idea that 'symptoms' mean nothing by now. :)

this month's entertainment is comparing my chart with my pg with DS one. (again) Blush Got to have a hobby...

like it would mean anything at 5dpo though?!

Scrummybumb · 15/05/2011 09:48

duckdodger sorry about AF arriving. Sad

duckdodgers · 15/05/2011 09:07

Despite being lulled at 5 am this morning with quite a good temp rise - got up and AF is here, gutted again. Now onto cycle 12.

mrsden · 14/05/2011 18:13

I'm glad it went ok for you yesterday bossy and thank you for the details on what happened. I will feel much more reassured if I have to have these tests done having been able to read about what exactly happens iykwim.

I hope the time until you see your gynae goes quickly for you. Did they say anything about how some women get pregnant straight away after having a hsg? I've read this somewhere but not sure if it's true, something about it giving a good clean out and removing obstructions. Anyway fingers crossed that this might be the case for you and you get your BFP.

Scrummybumb · 14/05/2011 11:07

Hello everyone! Back in the home land, thank god.

bossy really glad to hear that the HSG wasn't too bad and thanks for sharing the experience. I wonder what they meant about the cervix thing? I would probably spend the whole morning with mr google to try and find out....fx everything comes back as normal. A bit of good timed SWI doesn't sound so bad either Wink

weimy sorry to hear you are feeling down. I hope it's just the hormones. My low days lasted a lot longer than usual this time around, but have managed to shake it off. Hope you manage to do that too.

auntied sorry about AF and no, it doesn't get any easier. Quite the opposite. Sad

poppy your chart does look good. Not sure about triphasic though, maybe just a steady stream of progesterone keeping it up?

Hi duckdodger. Sorry about the temp drops. Sad

hope you get your appointment MrsD. I'm still a bit apprehensive about mine. Funny as I was so keen to get it in and now that I have it I'm kind of thinking 'maybe we should just give it a bit more time'. DH has been and dropped his sample - FINALLY. So I'm assuming we'll get his results next week.

We might have just had a little helping hand from mother nature this month, as I might have ovulated early and we managed some SWI just before I took off. Not too sure about temps what with time zone difference and all that, but figured it was a big enough shift, so it might just be right(ish).
www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Scrummybumb

The timing also means that I will either have just got another visit from AF when I go to meet my gyn ( Q tears no doubt) or I might just find out I'm pg on the day Grin FX for the latter
