It's not looking hopeful this month (again) :( www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3

I've been suffering with horrible PMT today - really tired, very very short tempered and I seem to have develop a rather attractive mountain range on my face!!!!

weimy · 06/04/2011 17:07

sorry about AF scrummy :( Holiday swi sounds very good though!

Hi there newgolden :)

cd13 here two positives on the opks so should ov tonight or tomorrow fx

Newgolddream · 06/04/2011 11:17

Hi everyone, just caught up as Ive had a busy few days at work, guess it helps to take my mind of everything.

weimy - thanks for your kind thoughts, and glad everythign went well for you re meeting. Smile

bossyboop - Sad caught up on all your news, so sorry, I know whether you mean to or not its impossible not to get your hopes up if you get a faint BFP, Ive been there. With me when AF arrived 2 days later I worked out it was most likely a chemical pregnancy and strangely it wasnt as bad as I thought because I had been ttc for a while and it was the first hint - I had no idea if I was fertile with my new DP or not - so it gave me hope. This was with DS2 and it was another year or so before I got my BFP with him.

So sorry you are feeling so down, it seems never ending and its the not knowing if it will ever be successful that is the killer - but I used to tell myself that "giving up" would mean having sex with contraception - therefore making it impossible and even if I thought I was "giving up" I would always be generally aware of my cycle and it would always be in the back of my mind.

scrummybomb" and essence* - ah no, sorry about AF Sad

ifatfirst - just to say Ive never ever had any early pregnancy symptoms with any of my 3 boys, not even morning sickness, which I feel a bit of a fraud about lol. Blush So I never go by symptoms now, or at least I try not to! And I do admire your restraint re testing, when you have internet cheapies it seems such a shame not to use them!!

auntieD - fx, your chart is looking good Smile

harder - yeh for your BFP on the CB digi Grin

Come and join us reallyuseful Smile

jaggy - my DH is a SAHD to!

bossyboop · 06/04/2011 10:20

Oh scrummy, I sat down to tell DH that I think it is time to stop ttc and he just said "right" and went straight back to his iphone!

Major head cold and feel far worse than I did on monday with the worst af Ive ever had so that is saying something, lots of meds today.

Hello reallyusefulengine and welcome

Scrummybumb · 06/04/2011 09:39

And AF arrived this morning with the final temp drop. Feeling really good though. First month when I haven't cried. It's the bit when I tell DH we haven't been successful that gets me every time, but not today. Maybe it's because I know I can now go and see GP or the fact that my next fertile days are next thu-mon and we're on hols thu-sun, so will be putting the holiday theory to the test! Or maybe i'm just starting to get too long in the tooth

Reallyusefulengine · 06/04/2011 09:17

Thank you again and I hope to join you soon Smile.

Scrummybumb · 05/04/2011 21:40

Not me. This month I had none. Last month just for one day! More just watery. It's an age thing, I think. I use to have loads. Robitussin, grapefruit, epo - none have made any difference so far, although not sure I've actually been taking the full recommended amount. Have tried pre-seed, conception plus and the other one, can't remember. Internal, external, anything goes!

jaggythistle · 05/04/2011 21:39

Hi reallyusefulengine nope, Pre-seed here too!

I used it when I conceived DS so even though i have EWCM I have bought some again. Grin Can't hurt eh!

This is a really nice friendly thread, you'll be welcome any time. (as you can see)

I like it here :)

Reallyusefulengine · 05/04/2011 20:57

Thank you all of you.

Scrummy Nope, I self diagnosed after reading TCOYF. I tried Robitussin and grapefruit juice but had no change whatsoever.

Very interesting that many of you use pre-seed too - I always imagined the charters were wading in endless amounts of EWCF!

So appreciated Smile

Scrummybumb · 05/04/2011 20:25

Oh and you're more than welcome to come and join us! No need to apologise. That's why we're all here - to share our knowledge and experience

mrsden · 05/04/2011 20:24

no such thing as interrupting here, everyone is welcome! Do come and join us if you do decide to chart, we are all learning really but there is always someone with good advice and great support. Good luck, hopefully your body is getting all ready to try again and it won't be too long a wait.

Scrummybumb · 05/04/2011 20:22

auntied long may the steady state continue Smile

ifat good girl. I lasted to 12DPO and don't seem to be able to stop this month. Serves me right for buying those internet cheapies

bossy glad to hear you've had a better day and found a way to feel better. Much better than the brandy!

weimy Thanks for your notes Smile

It's really weird, as I have no spotting this month ( mind you, after all the spotting i had last month I'm not complaining) but I think that's what's still kept me hoping my (silly) prediction was right. Ad apart from headache on Sunday, I've had no usual signs of AF making her way. Let's see what happens tomorrow. If AF does turn up, I'll be calling my GP, as we've now passed the 6 month mark. Apart from Days 3 and 21 blood tests, what should I be asking for? I can see a monster googling session coming along...

reallyusefulengine I suspect mrsden is right. Am i correct in thinking you used to take robitussin and it made no difference? Did they investigate what caused the hostile CF? And apart from the very sad event, nothing has changed? I'd say it's a good thing you've got it now. It's amazing how much hormonal changes can affect our bodies and you've been through a real roller coaster. Having said that, most of us still give nature a little helping hand with pre-seed, despite having natural source. Hope you're coping ok after the mc Sad

Reallyusefulengine · 05/04/2011 20:01

Thank you Mrsden snd Weimy - maybe so. I hope it is a good sign. And I hope it will be a regular occurence so I can start TTC next month. And, hopefully I will be able to chart and join you ladies.

Thank you and sorry for interrupting Blush

weimy · 05/04/2011 19:30

I have heard the same too xx

mrsden · 05/04/2011 19:12

Sorry to hear about the mc reallyusefulengine Sad
I've read that people can be super fertile just after a mc sort of like the body is trying to compensate so maybe this is why you have ewcm. Do you think you might be ovulating?

Reallyusefulengine · 05/04/2011 17:42

Dear Charters

Am sorry for crashing your party (and fun it looks too) but I was wondering if you could spare the time to answer a question for me, or at least have a bash at putting forth a theory.

I am on one of the miscarriage boards, I m/c 3 weeks ago and stopped bleeding a week ago. I have had hostile CF for 3 years and had to use Preseed to conceive my DD and in the pregnancy resulting in the m/c. I read the TCOYF book but didn't have the CF to follow it.

Well, the thing is that I seem to have EWCM all of a sudden. After years (TMI) of it being thick and pasty and taking robuttusin etc it seems to have sorted itself out.

Am hoping this is a good thing as would like to TTC as soon as am back on my feet (as it were). Why do you think this is and do you think it is good?

I hope that made sense and thanks again.

weimy · 05/04/2011 16:49

Sorry about temp drop scrummy & essence :(

auntied lookin' good!

Oh bossy I'm sorry this one has been so rough :(

Good girl ifatfirst sit on those hands! And tbh I don't think that symptoms mean a thing.

I'm due to ov soon and think I'm not going to temp once I know I've ov'd. Not decided yet though.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 05/04/2011 13:46

I'm slightly hungover today as we were celebrating DH's birthday last night, and forgot to take my temp this morn grrrrr.

.
11 DPO and I refuse to test!!!!! No symptoms anyway!

bossyboop · 05/04/2011 10:01

morning ladies! Ended up in the bath for a 2nd time last night and by 9pm was tucked up in bed resting and at last I stopped feeling sick and it all slowed down so this morning just icky brown so far. Temp has gone ridiculously up but probably due to sore throat. Felt quite fluey yesterday and it was probably the beginning of a cold that seemed to make everything else feel far worse - definitely the worst af I have ever had. Lying down provided relief and slowed the heavy bleeding so note to self to lie down all day if it ever gets that bad again!

How is everyone else this morning?

Scrummybumb · 05/04/2011 07:29

Me too! Angry

AuntieDoris · 05/04/2011 06:25

Well so far so good

What do you think ladies?

essenceofSES · 05/04/2011 06:19

Well a clear temp drop for me this morning :(
Can I go and climb under a rock screaming "It's not fair"?

weimy · 04/04/2011 21:34

pressed post too soon, scrummy, our paws are crossed for you xxx

weimy · 04/04/2011 21:11

Ah scrummy thank you Blush

Scrummybumb · 04/04/2011 21:06

bossy really sorry that you've been feeling rubbish today. I used to have really painful periods before I went on the pill and my mum recommended two things: brandy or red wine! Trust me, they work. Funny that Hmm Let's hope tomorrow is a better day and that month 18 is YOUR month.

essence do you not read my posts [pretends to be angry emoticon] ???? Wink yes, started testing on Sunday, brave I know. BFN. And again this morning. BFN. Temps show I might be on the slippery slope down, but not giving up hope just yet. here's hoping I won't have to write in tomorrow re something about super regular temp patterns....

www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Scrummybumb

I have to say though, that's now been two cycle buddies we've lost in as many months. Will you be the third?

weimy ....when I feel like I need a smile, I have a sneaky peek at your little darlings....just LOVE them!

jaggy my DH also plans to stay at home and we've got our 'lives sorted and ready'. So, where's the baby? I put one on order 6 months ago. Who do I complain to?
