Thanks very much for your replies, scrummy and ifatfirst. I was rather hoping someone would say it was out and out impossible due to the low temps. Scrummy I don't think I could wait a full week without testing if it comes to it... although I was too scared to buy a test in Sainsburys just now - so I might get through another week without testing by default!

Scrummybumb · 23/04/2011 20:49

Hmm, all I can say is keep temping for another week and see if you did ov around CD 23. one way or another, you should know by then. Sorry that I can't be more helpful.

AmandaCooper · 23/04/2011 18:50

Usually 30 days with OV on cd19. Had an excessively stressful month which seems to have played havoc with my cycle. Lots of missed sleep and very early waking mid cycle.

AmandaCooper · 23/04/2011 18:47

No it's either my eleventh or twelth. Some months I take it more seriously than others though.

Scrummybumb · 23/04/2011 17:51

Thanks bossy, I'm much happier today with my temp rise and decided to ignore yesterday's temp. I've also updated my home page now and pinned the comparison on ovulation date which makes it look very much the norm. Timing of SWI perhaps not so perfect if I DID ovulate on CD14, but then I read on NICE guidelines that most pregnancies occur when the intercourse was timed two days before ovulation, so keeping my FX. Your hubby was a bit of a numpty, wasn't he? I'd have gone ballistic, like you. make sure you take him and his credit card to a expensive trip to the garden centre!

Amanda how long are your cycles normally? Your temps show no clear rise so would indicate no ovulation has occurred yet. Have you come off contraceptives recently? Your body can take a bit of time to adjust.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 23/04/2011 16:23

Bank holidays are a pain when it comes to temping - late nights, alcohol, lie ins. My temps are all over the shop too!

Amanda I think it's difficult to say whether ov happedned this month. Is this your first month charting?

AmandaCooper · 23/04/2011 15:46

That last temp is due to a large amount of Havana rum by the way.

AmandaCooper · 23/04/2011 15:45

Ovulation Chart

I know it's cheeky to butt onto your thread to ask for help but it could really give me some peace of mind, so I hope someone will take a quick look. I'm 99% sure it's not possible that I'm pg on this data - it looks like I didn't even ovulate this cycle. What do you think? Any thoughts welcome.

Thanks in advance.

bossyboop · 23/04/2011 15:23

you are right scrummy it is looking very much like last months, ewcm a slow rise then back to up and down - may indicate what is wrong as there must be something wrong Confused will see how it goes, ewcm stopped now and temp back up, expect to see a slow rise again now. DH had been gardening for 5 hours yesterday and was tired so didn't want to pester for swi, don't want to do it for the sake of it so don't hold much hope this month but if I get spotting again it shortens the waiting time but then makes it hard to decide when to book hsg. Your chart is looking good though - normal Smile

I was so annoyed with dh who decided to do the weeding for the first time since winter because he took all the 'weeds' out of my pots. They were actually plants that haven't flowered yet. Poor dd has been watering her seeds everyday using rainwater we collected in the garden, taken about 4 weeks for them to start sprouting leaves and also I had some bulbs that grow each year, they were much bigger than the seedlings and he took the lot. I couldn't speak to him I was so mad but what was done was done - what an idiot!

Scrummybumb · 22/04/2011 20:30

newgold really glad to hear your friend is coming over and that you have someone to talk to. Just do make sure to look after yourself. Spells of the dreaded depression are never good, especially when TTC, so we all need to make every effort to avoid it....so if it takes to moan here to keep things in perspective or just to let off a bit of steam, then so be it! we'll all happily offer you a shoulder to cry on too, if you need it. God knows, the boys in the house probably dont quite get it (no disrespect to your DH!). Here's a chocolaty Easter egg from me [EGG Grin ]

weimy of course you can stay! We'd be offended if you decided to up sticks. And what would I do without those gorgeous virtual dogs of yours, well virtually I have adopted them, I hope you don't mind.....Hmm

mrsa so glad to hear from you again. I really like following your journey, so if you're happy, do keep updating us. Exciting about the scans, isn't it? And it sounds everything is going well, which I'm really happy to hear.

auntied great news about the test results Smile

bossy it's very much starting to look like last months chart, isn't it? Let's hope it won't drag on, and if it does, it's because your preggers Wink

ifat there would be seriously something wrong with you if you didn't feel the way you do, so don't be too hard on yourself...

Me, I think I've either confused FF because of potentially higher temps with all my drinking over the last weekend or I might not have ovulated yet, or then FF guess is right....I think I ovulated on CD12 and had a lower temp today because of very little sleep last night. What do you think?

jaggythistle · 22/04/2011 15:03

I have a bit of Envy face too as one of my friends from DS's baby group announced she was pregnant yesterday. I am very excited and happy for her but it's made me even more impatient if that's possible!

I can highly recommend not bothering to temp after ov is detected, I've been more relaxed so far this 2ww. Grin I think it has meant I have no reason to spend ages comparing my FF temp pattern to pg charts. Blush

I think i am 8DPO today...

see I am so not bothered.

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 22/04/2011 13:07

Yes, I'm still here. Unfortunately this thread has been my home for a ve--r-r-r-r-y long time :(

CD14 today, but have a horrible feeling that I ov'd yesterday, as I was getting a few twinges. That isnt good I we hadnt SWI since Tuesday. Anyhoo, we'll keep at it for the next few days, just in case. Temps are all over the place, and arent really that dependable due to not taking them at the same time (that's what being off work does for you :))

Feeling a bt sorry for myself today. My BF and my real life TTC buddy is now on the 2ww following her 4th attempt at IVF. It look fairly promising, but I feel so Envy. I'm dreading the results either way - I'd be so sad for her if it didnt work again, but if it did, I'd be so sad for myself. I can't believe I'm being so selfish after my bestest friend has put herself through such mental & physical torture!

bossyboop · 22/04/2011 12:12

please do weimy, put your feet up and watch QVC!

Hi rainy, IfAtFirst is still about

CD19 and I have officially lost my cross hairs - not surprised though at least it means theres still time for more SWI but i've gone from being near the end of 2ww to not having even started it, never mind there is always easter eggs.

Happy Easter everyone

weimy · 22/04/2011 11:51

Hi all,

I'm going to take a break from charting, is it ok still to hang about though?

hotcrossSES · 22/04/2011 08:01

Rainy - don't worry, I'll rescue you from your thread-killing antics Grin
Love the "whole shebang" description! I'm just entering 2ww so hopeful (as ever!) that I won't need your offer of tests...

Hello to everyone else. Sorry I've not managed to keep up this week but work has been hectic and DH was away as well. Off to work this morning and a busy weekend ahead with lots going on at church for Easter, work again tomorrow morning, lunch at my parents on Sunday and meeting up with friends who are over from North America. I will need Monday to recover!

Hope you all have great weekends :)

RainySmallHands · 22/04/2011 07:40

Oh heavens, I am a thread killer.

RainySmallHands · 20/04/2011 22:07

Hi ladies,

I frequented Charters Anonymous early last year when I was TTC (as BabyValentine). Luckily, I got my BFP in June and now have a lovely new DD.

(Not sure if anyone remembers me, varying cycles, doing the whole shebang - grapefruit juice, Preseed, EPO, legs in the air, flaxseed oil etc. - tested on DPO18 due to varying LP)

I remember some of the ladies from last spring - Hippy, Danilou, Empty, Spiltthetea, LittleSilver, IfAtFirst, Shaggy (sorry, I don't remember who graduated - hopefully everyone Smile).

Anyhoo, the reason I am waffling on, is that I have about 16 ovulation sticks (internet cheapies, exp. 11/2011), a box of 20 CBFM test sticks (exp. 01/2012) and 3 pregnancy tests (exp. 09/2011 and 03/2012) which I will happily send on to anyone who remembers me. PM me if you do...

And good luck to everyone on Charters Anonymous - a fabulous thread, with a fabulous bunch of ladies. It certainly helped to keep me sane last year...

Karbea · 20/04/2011 22:00

new gold yep I feel pretty much in control now, cbfm tells me when I'm ov'ing and temp drop tells me when af is about to arrive.

Af arrived yesterday... So I'm starting cycle 7 now.

hotcrossSES · 20/04/2011 21:57

Hello all!

weimy - sorry she got you :( Hope the pack are looking after you with some snuggles.

AuntieDoris - good news on your DH's results :)

To all those feeling down - well you're right, it sucks! Another one of my friends is starting to ttc this month and I just have that nagging feeling that she'll get pg first month of trying. I feel so awful for having such awful Envy feelings of my RL friends who are pg.

Why do I always allow myself to get my hopes up too? I haven't even got cross hairs yet and I'm working out due dates and imagining being pg. Why can't I just stop thinking about it all?!

My chart is here
DH has been away for a couple of days and back tomorrow so missed day of ovulation - Grrr! I reckon I should get my cross hairs either tomorrow or Friday. Will try some SWI either tomorrow evening or Friday morning but I think we may be too late by now and just have to hope earlier efforts pay off!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 20/04/2011 21:52

Hi all. I hope that posting here doesn't make things feel worse for people but I wanted to pop on to say I am lurking occasionally, waiting for the next bfp - and it will come - although easy for me to say. I do remember all the months of waiting and hoping and seeing the temperature plunge, it was just soul destroying but it happened to me, so keep thinking lovely positive thoughts.

I had my dating scan today. Saw a lovely heartbeat and a jumping bean. Dated me 9 weeks, which I know I can't be due to ovulation/swi dates, so I'm sticking with 10weeks and a due date of 16 Nov.

Unmumsnetty hugs to all - hang on in there. :)

Hello people. I am still here. Just very busy... and nothing exciting to report on my chart at the moment.

On the positive side, DH's semen analysis came back all normal which was a relief :)

weimy · 20/04/2011 18:37

She got me, in class, I was totally unprepared and couldn't leave the class anyway, eugh Blush

mrsden I am re-thinking things, probably just trying to protect myself, and wondering if it really is what I want. I'm going to stop charting for a while and see if I can chill and sort myself out x

mrsden · 20/04/2011 10:10

sorry about spotting weimy and for low temps karbea. I'm on cycle 10 now so I do know how awful it is every month when all hope vanishes. I would say it gets easier but it doesn't really except I now don't have so much hope so it's not so much of a disappointment. I actually don't expect to be pregnant, and have begun to think about what it would me for me and DH and our future if we can't have children.

newgold please don't think that you are being selfish. It doesn't matter if you have no children or 20 but if you want something so badly then it is devastating when it is not happening. You can moan here as much as you like. I sometimes think that I moan too much on here, you must all think that I am a total misery but I'm really not in real life. I am a very happy, optimistic person but ttc is an exhausting and emotional experience for me and I only have you guys and DH to talk to about it.

Newgolddream · 20/04/2011 09:56

Morning

Karbea - how was your temp today, still dipping? Thats how I knew AF came for me to, in some ways a few days of preparing I suppose as I had 2 big dips.

HotcrossES- thanks for those hugs Smile. I dont know how I am going to get out of this mind set though if its negative at 9 DPO then Im not pregnant. Obviously up to now its bee true though Smile

jaggy - good on you resisting POAS, wish I had your restraint.

bossyboop - thanks, how are things with you?

weimy - any sign of AF yet, hopefully not.

scrummybomb - thanks so much for your message, Im actually feeling a lot more negative and lower than I post here tbh, sometimes I feel as if compared to others I know I have nothing to moan about really, because I have got 3 boys but it doesnt help me feel any better although I try. Dont get me wrong I am eternally gratefull for them and know Im lucky but when you want something else so badly Im scared it never going to happen. So knowing that most people here are ttc No1 makes me feel I cant say anything without sounding selfish if that makes sense, stupid, stupid all these thoughts that go through our heads.

It actually took me approx 18 months with a chemical pregnancy in the middle to conceive DS2 so not as long this time (been trying since August), but I was only 30 then and Im now 40 so time is most def not on my side.

I email my best pal a lot and have arranged for her to come up in a few weeks so wil have a good old girly moan chat then - thank you. Smile

bossyboop · 19/04/2011 20:36

good luck with the grapefruit juice IfAtFirst! I am either on CD16 or CD20 Confused CD16 based on heavy red af, CD20 based on red spotting that then turned brown for 4 days before the heavy af. My chart has me down as CD16 with dotted crosshairs, last months chart was up and down with multiple ewcm which is why I am not totally convinced I have ovulated yet. The ewcm has gone now but cervix still high, no idea about open and closed as I have cervical erosion.

Oh weimy, know the feeling Sad
