AandRMum · 18/02/2011 21:38

Having a wobble - feel like I am coming down with something - last time I was ill I had my cp. Petrified it is going to happen again. Very weepy and headachy - hope these are good sign

hotnspicyonions · 18/02/2011 21:21

Robin how's the Appletize? Have you heard of Eisberg alcohol free wine? They do it in all 3 colours, wondered if it was any good, might be worth a try! :)

wombat I had a stale raspberry jam doughnut today, warmed in the microwave so freshened up quite a bit. No squirty cream though to put in hole & make jam & cream doughnut :(

:o :o :o to all the scanners today. Lovely news that all the little beans are growing just nicely!

Keep forgetting Im PG. Have only told DP, Mum & Nan. Telling IL's at weekend as they are visiting. Am in 2 minds whether to be honest with everyone else when/if they ask or to go down the denial route. No sypmtoms as of yet (always tired & hungry!) but then I didn't get any was too drunk to remember last time. Loving the limbo :( would love glass of Wine right now!

mamapower · 18/02/2011 19:44

And of course hooray to emoo and lms!!!

Fab day all round. Smile

Had a v busy day off, hosted lunch for 5 ladies I was at school with - all who have babies from 2 weeks to 9 months. DS behaved marvellously and also skipped his nap which means early bedtime tonight - yippee!

Was faintly concerned at how well I was coping - baked two cakes, vacuumed and tidied the house, prepped lunch and made endless cups of tea. But now I've sat down am feeling pg again. So should be pleased that I'm still able to function during the day.

clareanna · 18/02/2011 19:02

You alright there Wombat?

Wombat33 · 18/02/2011 17:42

mmmmmmmmmmmmm doughnut mmmmmmmm...

mrsrobinredbreast · 18/02/2011 17:33

Irene Another one who would vote for seeing your doc early. I left it until 7 weeks last time and then ended up being seen later at the hospital. Might be good to sound your gp out about an early scan too, as others have said.

Owl liking your motto too. My friend always tells me "only worry about the things you can change" which I am repeating over and over to myself right now whilst rocking quietly in a chair.

Nickster Am in Cheshire, the grim part not the posh part Wink. Where are you listening in on the doppler? At home?

lovemy Excellent news about the scan. 6.5mm, wow! These beans are a growing.

Pink, thanks for the advice on the scan. I fear I may become an addict too. If I can just hold out a bit longer. Not like I can change the outcome but it's the not knowing.

Shooting dirty looks at my DH who is off to shop to buy beer for himself and flippin' Appletizer for me to have in a wine glass. Pah!

IreneHeron · 18/02/2011 17:12

Two good points Ladybee, taken on board. Still very early days for me, only got my bfp on monday so only about 4 weeks gone.

Thanks Owl, good motto. It is easy to get superstitious.

The only people I've told are DH and my Mum. I couldn't keep it from her. I was at her house when I took the test. Couldn't keep it in.

owlbooty · 18/02/2011 16:46

Sleep that is bloody marvellous, and well done on booking the MW appt. So nice that your EPU are looking after you.

Irene , Bee is definitely right with her wise words.

They may or may not offer early scan but it's always worth asking - and failing all else it's definitely worth them knowing what's going on. I went at around 7 weeks - would have gone at 6 weeks but my GP was booked up 2 weeks ahead.

There is nothing you can do to jinx this. Honest. :)

Ladybee · 18/02/2011 16:25

Irene this is terribly eeyore-ish of me, but it's probably best to get things in motion and make an appointment. This is why I think:

  1. If you're lucky or stress how anxious you are, your GP might push for an early scan knowing your history.
  2. (and I apologise) God forbid the worst happens, it's better to have the pg recorded 'in the system', so that if there does turn out to be any problem, it will be 'counted' when assessing for test eligibility.
IreneHeron · 18/02/2011 16:10

Soo nice to hear about good scan news and new BFPs. Keep it up everyone. And nice to be reassured about brown goo even though I've not had that particular pleasure yet.

I'm wondering when to go to the doctor. I was thinking of leaving it a little while as last time I went straight away feeling all happy about my news only to have a mc a couple of weeks later. At what point did you go ladies? don't know if they'd offer an early scan.

lovemysleep · 18/02/2011 16:05

Moo Am chuffed to hear that your bean is there too - lots of hugs to you!

Being the div I am, I posted on the old thread if you haven't seen....bean is 6.5mm, and about as big as a grain of rice. Burst into tears, and have finally managed to calm myself down by this afternoon. Just very happy to have got this far, but I know with my history that it's the next 4 weeks that are crucial. Truly hope that the meds will make this one stay.....

Orange it's a mandatory requirement that you are irrational to be here! Am sure you are fine - had a day worrying about symptoms this week, and have felt sicker that EVER today, so you sound pretty preggers to me.

Nickster you have made me crave salad - with a large side order of pizza. Now got to convince the family that they want the same - may pull the pg card - hahahaha(evil laugh).

banana my peiriods are always like that, but I also remember after my mc, they were a little lighter, so I'm sure this must be normal.

Hotand spicy caramel apple lattice - mmmmm. All you ladies are driving me to distraction with all the talk of yummies - well, apart from pork scratching nipples, obviously.

Hello velvet fingers crossed the brown goo is all normal - it seems pretty normal round here.

Hello Irene - and any other newbies....you're in good hands here!

Have I missed anyones scan news? Brain is not functioning well today, am afraid. Am completely knackered, and God, had to get the nausea wrist bands out today - felt the worst I have felt so far. Haven't been sick though - but wasn't when pg with DD.

Took another step today, and have my MW booking appointment on the 2nd March. Feels cary to make that official too, but suppose I have to bite the bullet sometime.

EPAU were lovely today - have offered me another scan at 10 weeks, 14th March (this is the particularly scary time for me as 2 of my mcs happened around 9 weeks), and I have one with Dr.S on the 28th Feb. Told them about my treatment with him, and they didn't know much about NK cells at all, but I expected that - don't mean that in an arsey way...

Poor DD is parked in front of the tv - feel so completely cack that can't face doing anything other than lying on the sofa too. The first thing she asked me when she came out of school was "Is the baby ok?" - just makes me wanna blub thinking about it.......

better go before I start delcaring undying devotion to you all - it's one of those days, ladies xxxxx

PinkFondantFancy · 18/02/2011 15:21

lady have you managed to go home for a lie-down? I get them sometimes - they're horrible and I just have to sleep it off. Fingers crossed it'll be gone by tonight if you can have a good sleep. Good plan getting it checked out though.

nix am Envy at your ability to spy on your bean without having to show your fanjo to random men and spend £100 a throw!!!!

Ladybee · 18/02/2011 15:07

Velvet and AandR I'm sooooooo happy to see you poking your heads in with those BFPs GrinGrin what great news, congratulations!
Yes, brown goo and wibbling is just usual behaviour on this thread. wombat is the queen of goo, she gets it at least once a week it seems like (sorry sweetpea, not making fun Wink I know it's horrible for you) but every time a scan has shown things are fine - I on the other hand being a 'clotter' not a 'bleeder' am terrified that my absence of said goo just indicates that my body is withholding the evidence of it all having gone wrong. See? You can mad in so many ways on this thread Hmm

Great news on scans so far - and long may it continue for everyone. Mine is next Weds and I've started mentally counting down to it. Am now just about at the stage when I want to get it over with, just want to know either way and am desperately hoping it's all ok.

My team was told I'm leaving yesterday - I think I must have been carrying a lot of stress about it and all came out in a big headache and visual disturbances - zigzaggy halo type thing in my left eye. I'm trying to get an optician appt for tomorrow to check it - I know it's most likely a visual migraine but need to rule out clexane-related bleeding or retina stuff.
Ooh, just seen more references to headaches above...hormone-related huh?

Wombat33 · 18/02/2011 14:07

Oooh now A&R a head massage would go down really well! Headaches can be a side effect of the increase in hormones ya'know Smile

nickstermum · 18/02/2011 14:06

heading off for a listen in at 4 Grin

and again on monday... and next friday no doubt! Nowt like satisfying the anxious Grin

FX x

Wombat33 · 18/02/2011 14:03

Pink it depends how flexible you can be on time of day but I've had no problems booking in - this week I called on Wednesday morning and got an appointment for 3pm Thursday. I think they only do 'standard' scans (viability, nuchal, abnormality, growth) on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri. Wednesday is the day they do they complex stuff (CVS, Amnio and intra-uterine fetal surgery).
