PV thanks, 1 week ahead of me then :) better diet than me Blush

Emoo and Nix I asked the MW about runny eggs and she said a big no, which disappointed me as it's the main craving I've been having. Ooh I hope I can eat them

Mamap I've put on 5lbs in 12 weeks, but quite frankly I don't care how much as long as everything's ok

Velvet I'm really hoping to see you on a permanent bean bag by Thursday then

I forgot to thank everyone for making me realise how ridiculous I was being yesterday [sheepish emoticon] am all snuggly with new slipper-socks feeling a nap coming on :)

PrettyVacant1 · 19/02/2011 14:34

I'm 13 weeks tomorrow Orange.

Velvet honey, big squeezes for you.

I just ate 2 plums, a satsuma and 4 chunks of Galaxy.

mamapower · 19/02/2011 14:12

emoo yes I am much to my mothers disgust! She just looked at me whilst I was crashing through a large bag of monster munch and said "well, ur certainly going to gain a few extra pounds, aren't you?'' YES!

Hope ur all having a good wkend. Can't type more as on phone, will catch up tom eve Smile

nickstermum · 19/02/2011 14:07

emoo i didnt give up runny eggs in any pg. DS is fine! All chickens in the uk are vaccinated against salmonella and provided the eggs are stamped with the lion stamp then theyre fine. I have had to stop buying eggs from my butchers (which are fab and hooge free range ones) cos they aint stamped, and i cant eat them hard! :(

Yes we made play doh spag and vegs....t'was v nice Grin

range what was shocking about my iced bun consumption was that i didnt even wait to get outside of tesco before unwrapping them!! Now i can see everyone else is eating similar amounts.. not so shocking huh?! Grin My appetite is coming and going atm..

robin just for knowledge. Manchester st marys hospital has a walk in all day EPU... just in case you ever needed one. x

Velvetcu · 19/02/2011 14:05

Hello all

This is the first opportunity I've had to post and I'm just popping in to say I'll just be hovering by the doorfor a few more days. AF was due anytime between now and Tuesday so I think if I can get to Thursday without any issues apart from brown goo in the mornings I might come in and make myself comfy on the beanbags :)

Hope everyone is doing ok

Emoo · 19/02/2011 13:29

Hope everyone is enjoying their rainy Saturday... might go and make a lovely warm fire to snuggle by for the rest of the day.

MamaP - still eating???

Orange - hope you are less paranoid today. Glad to hear you're hurling!

Robin - whether NHS or private depends on your area and EPU criteria. I am lucky, as round here a previous miscarriage seems to be sufficient to tick the box to get an early scan next time. I think in some other areas you have to be bleeding or in pain to get an EPU referral. You need to see your GP anyway at some point to get into the midwifery system, so why not ask? Alternatively wait for the inevitable brown goo, then get a referral on the grounds of bleeding. If you want control over timing though, I guess it would have to be private.

Hope A&R and Velvet are getting nice and comfy on those new beanbags.

Ladybee - hope your headache is better now. Does sound like a migraine to me, but what did the optician say?

Love - know what you mean about crossing fingers for the next 4 weeks. That's my "danger area" too.

Irene - I agree with Ladybee - even if things don't go according to plan, you would want it to be recorded in the GP system, so see them sooner rather than later.

Pretty - fantastic news on your scan too. Glad the bean is growing beautifully. Good philosophy from you too - nothing can happen that I haven't already dealt with before

Pink - did you have runny egg and chips?? I'm trying to work out if runny eggs are a risk I can sensibly take. I've never heard of anyone actually getting salmonella from eggs for decades - aren't they vaccinated now?

Nix - playdoh? unusual craving...! Is that with salad?

OrangeGloss · 19/02/2011 12:47

PV forgot to ask, does that mean you're 12 weeks? Don't seem to remember seeing what your dates are x

OrangeGloss · 19/02/2011 12:44

PV that's awesome news about your scan, and nice to be able to compare. I remember thinking I couldn't believe the blob I saw a few weeks ago now had fingers and toes :)
AandR sorry to hear you're feeling so unsettled. It's only natural to feel like that but I'm sure last time was a coincidence and this time you'll be fine x I had awful bug a few weeks ago when not been ill for over a year, Nix is right your immune system just shuts down
Pink I'm the same everyone is getting excited and I don't feel ready for it yet. Must be pg hormones as Krisy Kreme are yummy
:)
Wakari midwives really don't seem bothered by brown goo, which doesn't help us but should be a little reassuring. I hope next week goes quickly for you

We're off to ILs, had to stop off for another quick hurl on the way which I'm taking as reassurance :)
Nix I remember being [shocked] at your iced bun consumption, but now I fully see it having eaten a whole bag of mini brioche in a day Grin

wakarimasen · 19/02/2011 11:38

Wow this thread is a little too fast for me to keep up! I am honing in on the people who seem to be at a similar stage to me knitter and digital. I'm 5+3 today and pretty sure of dates as I temp Hmm

Had a very up and down few days with the return of the dreaded brown goo Sad. Though its more like (TMI alert)snot Shock have had some cramps too but they seem to have settled.

I know a few of us have scan coming up so good luck. Mine is a week today and if I make it til then without red bleeding I will be doing well.

Hello to everyone on here - it's nice to hear so many positive stories (goo or otherwise!)

Youremindmeofthebabe · 19/02/2011 10:47

That's at 10-15 weeks

Youremindmeofthebabe · 19/02/2011 10:43

Nix 110 to 190 depending on the time of day. Big variations!
Waves to all.

nickstermum · 19/02/2011 10:34

Fetal not feral doh damn phone!

nickstermum · 19/02/2011 10:34

Ar hugs, but don't forget your immune system shuts down when you are diffed and there are lots of nasty bugs about ATM, ESP if your girls are mixing! I came down with flu at 6 weeks. Just remember it's safer to take paracetamol than have a temp xx

Brian hello my lovely xx yum to granary toast thanks! So nice to have you here dr Brian constantly reassuring!

Need to know what feral heartbeat should be please.... So I can stop fretting it's too slow or too fast!

PrettyVacant1 · 19/02/2011 10:16

I think Brian has been at the Krispy Cremes.....
sweet isn't he. Grin

Hey Jolls x

AandRMum · 19/02/2011 10:00

Oh Brian what did we do before your arrival Grin Grin?

YourFriendBrian · 19/02/2011 09:43

Morning Poppets,

Glad you like the new F/O room Smile and hasn't it been busy here, 2 new arrivals, 3 excellent scans and happy beans, wonderful, wonderful.

Now dears, knicker spotting is inevitable but do try and relax a little, stress will not help you or your little bean (or beans in the case of Miss Dachs (nice name change) and Miss TTT).

I am wondering if pink stumbled on a mouldy ole Krispy Creme as quite frankly my dear, they are the nicest things since sliced bread...talking of which I have just put some lovely granary in the toaster ''come help yourselves''

My sweet little pretty you have had a very rough journey here, you will get excited honey, you will Smile

Now one and all, have a lovely weekend including jolls yes I did see you there poppet Smile

Morning everyone!

AR - sorry you're feeling wobbly. Don't worry about it until it happens and hopefully it won't. PV talks lots of sense, keep calm and carry on and with luck weeks will go by.

nickstermum · 19/02/2011 08:49

Pretty that's exactly how I have been in rl, pretending it's not happening! Best way to be. I am not excited, just a bit anxious, you will get excited when you feel movements etc xxx

Play Doh for brek today :)

SameOldJollster · 19/02/2011 08:47
PrettyVacant1 · 19/02/2011 08:15

Morning, thanks for all the Woooo's. Grin
I'm a bit worried that I'm still not getting excited.
This self preservation is pretty deep set. Hmm
holds hands with Pink

This may sound Stoopid but the best way I've dealt with this over the past few months is ignore the fact I'm diffed.
I didn't stress daily, took control and told myself nothing can happen that I haven't already dealt with before.
I got through that, so I can do it again.
I took one day at a time and was surprised how quickly they turned into weeks.
Don't get me wrong, I had wobbles, biiiiiggggg ones.
It's allowed.
Control what you can and trust what you can't.

That's nuff rantings from me.... Blush

Uurrrhhggggg, the mere thought of crispy Kreme donoughts make me want to hurl, never mind rank ones.
I'd rather eat a scratchy pig nip.
Just thought I'd share that. Grin

Must shake a leg for work soon, have a super Sat all xx

PinkFondantFancy · 18/02/2011 23:43

nix haha don't encourage me-having your own scanner would be AAAMMMMAAAAAZZZZZING!!!

PinkFondantFancy · 18/02/2011 23:39

Oh I had a krispy Kreme at lunch-was GRIM!! tasted all chemically and left a taste of old chip fat in my mouth afterwards!!! I'm assuming this is a malfunction with my tastebuds rather than them losing the plot????

Ham egg and chips for dinner-AMAZING!!!!!!

PinkFondantFancy · 18/02/2011 23:36

dacha love the new name Grin

preeerety fab news-v cool you've got pics from all the scans too.

wombie I've got a vision of you buried under a pile of donuts and you having to eat your way out Grin

mamap have a fab weekend

digi sounds like a marathon day! Glad you're doing well.

Am feeling a bit wobbly-am at mums and she's understandably excited but I don't want to talk about it and so feel like a bit of a cow Sad when I'm rational about it I've got every chance it's going to be ok this time but every milestone coming feels a v v long way away and I daren't let myself get carried away again. Fingers crossed next few weeks go smoothly and come around quickly and hopefully I can start actually enjoying it!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 18/02/2011 22:52

yay pretty Glad scan went well Grin

will catch up properly tomorrow but right now i need sleep
