Control what you can and trust what you can't , bizzare dreams are a classic symptom.
You mind is working overdrive sweets.

Őranjeboom squishes for you too, erm, was it not yourself who kindly responded to my freak out Fred bout cramping.
Your bean is made of steel mate, its not going anywhere! Grin

Hope you feel betterer ver soon.

I was diffed when I barged in joined Owls but I'll have the title anyways. Grin

Hi again,

Didn't get to the optician will try squeeze it in early this week, GP was useless, basically said it could be any of the things I thought it was although slightly reassuring thought probably not clexane/bleeding related as eye not bloodshot in any way (BTW, has anyone else noticed that eyes are nice and bright and shiney without caffeine or alcohol? Not that I drank much but I noticed this last time too - it's about the only part of me that is bright and shiney).

PV fantastic news for latest scan - I wouldn't worry about the not being excited thing...I'm basically expecting if this continues on, to not be excited until around 24 weeks when I think it's viable? I.e. until it's not entirely up to my body to sustain it.

AandR Hope that bug is giving you a miss, do try to rest as much as possible and give your body a chance to cope and keep an eye on temp. I very very nearly refused to have a scan at 6+6 weeks, after my first at 4+6 - they were required by consultant in order to start the clexane injections I'm on. But the prospect of being told bad news was almost more than my wish to know. Really it came down to knowing that if something had gone wrong it would be better to know. But there has been 4 weeks since my last and next scan this week) and I've been hoping that if it has ended I would find out by starting to bleed. Especially as DH and DS will be coming to this scan - hate the idea of getting bad news that way.

emoo am totally Envy about the prospect of a snuggly fire - how delicious.

velvet oooooohhhh I wish I could give you a big squeeze. It's HORRENDOUS, it really is, the early weeks, then the weeks when it went wrong last, then the other weeks waiting for another scan. It's all hard - just have to take it one day at a time. And sleep lots. Although with those dreams you may not want to. I've had a lot of vivid dreams, including practically the exact same 'giving birth' dream I had last time I was pg, right before my MC When you're suppressing a lot of fearful thoughts during waking hours, they're bound to come out somehow. Pale, achey, feeling generally blah. Yup, early pregnancy sucks. Hooray - you're in early pregnancy Grin

Oi..Nickster...let MummyA wear the maids outfit if she wants - she looks very fetching in it Grin, shall we call her DH?

I do the runny eggs. Not a lot, but if it's the thing I feel like above all other things, then I eat them. Think I've had 2 in this pg.

Lovemysleep I had abandon completely the miscarriage thread and sadly the ttc after mc thread, I just couldn't cope with hearing stories of the poor women who lost pgs at the Exact Same Stage I happened to be on. SadSad it feels so selfish, but it was the only thing I could do to help stop focussing on the what 'could' happen and focus on what was actually happening as far as I can tell.

owlbooty I'm with you on the lime cordial.

hotnspicey, well with that lot of cranberry you should be fine for cystitis Grin That was terribly self-sacrificing of you to cook cake for someone else though. I cooked a cake on Wednesday (DS helped), ostensibly for friend and her DD coming over, but really so it would be left for me (ok, I let DH have a little bit). It was lovely. Gone now, sadly.

Right, got to go...have to do number crunching regarding selling or renting house. Gah. Will be back on before Wednesday's scan wibbling I expect. Plleeeeeeease let it be ok, pleeeeeeaaaaase.

nickstermum · 20/02/2011 14:29

I think pink has turned into bella swan!!

Have you read breaking dawn??? :)

Velvet I have had so many freak out Mc / bloody dreams it's scary. Vivid dreams seem to be a symptom! ((hugs))

Love, I am reading about moon face at the min! In the folk of the faraway tree... Ds! Love that book! Sorry theyre making you so hungry, it's a good cause tho! I started to stay away from the mc threads as they were freaking me out :( good on you for being supportive, but am sure they will understand if you need a break :)

Dachs, the Jane powertwin is supposed to be awesome. I have a Jane 3 wheeler and it's fab. Expensive though. Gosh, been out to buy Ds a new car seat today, booster 4-7 years, seems to have just shot up.. Another 130 quid gone Gah! Still at least I already have the others for no 2! Cheap compared to the price of buggies and baby stuff lol
Actually wanted a coffee this morn....

hotnspicyonions · 20/02/2011 13:50

Dachs can't you start a new thread asking if anyone close to you location has double buggy you are looking for? There must be some way of seeing one?!

Owl & Love not on the lime cordial but have sunk a 1.5 litre carton of Cranberry & raspberry in less than 24 hours. I'm gonna be peeing for England... Where's the CBD's???!!!

Just been a Domestic Goddess today, cooked a Devils Food Giant Cupcake. Un fortunately not for personal consumption. For a friend's daughters birthday. Wonder if she'll save me a bit?!

Luckily for me, I don't do eggs of any kind. Just a though a runny yolk makes me want to hurl. And that was before the bean arrived.

Am now comfy on the sofa watching Brothers & Sisters (DP,DS & IL's gone swimming) and chiiling. Nice Sunday, I hope all of yours are too :)

PinkFondantFancy · 20/02/2011 13:39

Fried eggggsssss followed by Creme egggssss Grin

lovemysleep · 20/02/2011 13:37

owl lime cordial girl too, and now am glugging my way through ribena too - oh, and ginger ale - mmmmmmmmm.

Just scoffed a strawberry cream doughnut, and I really want the other one out of the packet.

OH.....DEAR.....GOD......I cannot stop eating......and I think I now have steroid moonface - eg. I now look like a fat bloater! AAArrrgghhhhhhh......

Velvet take care - fingers crossed that you will be fine xx

Dachs it's a pain when you can only get things online, isn't it? Is there not some big baby superstore within driving distance from you? Suppose you could always order it and send it back if it's not suitable, and there's nowhere to try it. Bit of a faff though.

owlbooty · 20/02/2011 13:14

I still get 'blood' dreams and wake up completely freaked out. It sounds to me like you have some splendid grot-making symptoms there. As you can do is try and get through each day and each milestone one step at a time. And don't you dare bugger off, I've stapled your shoelaces to the floor Grin

PV 13 weeks! Whoop! So very pleased about your scan going well. I think that makes you the official first graduate of the Freak Out room as me and Nix snuck in here a bit late :)

Yesterday I had hot cross buns for breakfast, a burger and chips for lunch, and a cheese and onion pasty for tea. I disgust myself.

It's funny that quite a lot of us have gone for the same foods though - ribena, eggs, lemon sherbets, cake - the other thing I can't stop drinking now is Rose's lime cordial.

mummyabroad · 20/02/2011 13:10

ooooh Pretty fab news that you have finished the steriods! Hope the rest is plain sailing Smile

mummyabroad · 20/02/2011 12:57

Hi lovemysleep I forgot you were on both threads!

Hope to see you all over here in a different context next timeGrin

OrangeGloss · 20/02/2011 11:51

I'm looking forward to seeing you here very soon

I desperately want an egg, and after reading the chances it's so slim, I might work my way up to one, but am feeling a but irrational at the moment

Nix poor dh not being able to eat the food, then having to smell your farts Wink Grin

Velvet pale, achey, sick, brown goo and vivid nightmares/dreams are all symptoms. I've had some awful mc dreams, and dreams dh has left me :( though I had a giving birth dream last night which perhaps shows a shift in my subconscious Hmm Sorry time's going so slowly (((hugs)))

Love you've made me so goddamn hungry! Grin that's really nice of you going back to other thread. I'm too scared tbh, hearing about experiences I've had to blinker myself for my own sanity. It's definitely good news that you're past the 6 week mark like your rational side said :)

I'm feeling out of sorts today, sick and tired which is great symptom-ness, but having mild cramps/twinges which I'm hoping is my muscles stretching. I think Nix you said that they start around now?

Velvetcu · 20/02/2011 10:08

I'm only 4+2 so scans and appointments are a long way off! Bean died at 7 weeks last time so I'm gonna go for a private scan at 8 weeks but it seems so far away! My next milestone is Friday when I'll pee on another cb Digi to make sure it's gone up from 1-2 weeks.

This is sooo scary! Sorry I promise I'll catch up with everyone properly in a couple of days

DoubleDiffedDachs · 20/02/2011 10:00

velvet We've all had lots of brown goo, nothing to worry about! :)

Feeling like crap is good symptoms. I know it's very hard to relax and enjoy it - I still haven't started even though I've now seen a heartbeat. The way I get through from day to day is just to focus on the next target, the next scan, the next appointment... When is your first appointment? Are they going to give you an early scan?

I'm hoping one day I will wake up and it will all just feel magically exciting, but at the moment it still feels unreal.

I'm also now panicking as I have found the twin buggy I want to have a look at but I can't find one anywhere apart from online and I'd really like to see it in person. (I know it's too early to start looking for baby stuff but we're worried about how much extra twins will cost so I'm trying to pull together a budget)

lovemysleep · 20/02/2011 09:52

Velvet if it's not red, I'd have thought your goo was alright. Sounds like your other symptoms are all part of pg too - and as for the nightmares/dreams, they can be very biarre too - dreamt my husband left me for a holiday with a male work colleague, as he thought he might be gay.....not as gory as yours, but mightily strange, all the same. Have you had a scan yet? Or are you able to get one sorted soon?

All the egg ladies - I am so obsessed with runny eggs, it's the one thing I really miss when pg. Had a fried breakfast after scan on Friday, and asked the cafe to make it firm, but it was still runny - I ate it anyhow, and have just decided to ask for something else next time.Think the plebs also gave me full strength coffee too, despite asking for decaff (don't start me on the poor service rant that I can go on about for ever, grumpy old woman that I am!). I often wonder what all the fuss is about - I have never been ill from eggs, and I thought they were ok now. Still, I get the fear about them....

As for food, God almighty, ladies - I am one big eating machine - everything tastes so damn good! Maybe the steroids are contributing to this, but judging by everyone else, I think it's just being pg! Went out for lunch yesterday to Ask, and had Pasta and spicy meatballs, with hot chocolate pudding after - it was delicious! Can't stop munching on Sherbet lemons, and just had the best bacon sarnie ever for breakfast this morning. Am scared to get on the scales!

Nick shame about the dinner party - your poor friend, I'd have been so mortified!

Mummy have chatted with mattsmama, hope she has some success with her treatment.

Digi officially 6 weeks - yay to you! I didn't feel pg at all yesterday, which made me flap a bit too. Just keep ticking off those days, and let's hope we make it to 12 weeks with our sanity intact..

Keep popping onto the miscarriage thread, as I feel like I should keep an eye on it, in case I can give any helpful advice to anyone - but I have to admit, it freaks me out reading it, and raise my anxiety levels drastically. Starts all sorts of paranoia. But, at the same time, I want to know that I can maybe help point some upset people in the right direction.

Trying to do my best to stay sane at the moment, but this is the danger time...mind you when I thought about it rationally last night (rationally - pah! what is this rational thinking??????), I realised that 2 of my mc's were before 6 weeks, and I've made it past that, so that's really positive.

Anyway - hello to everyone, hope you have a lovely Sunday - sorry for the long post! x

Velvetcu · 20/02/2011 09:10

Ok time for some questions! Firstly, I'm still have brown goo in the mornings but it's more golden than brown - is this ok? Second I feel like shit! Everyone is commenting on how pale I am, I feel sick and achey and generally not with it - these are all good symptoms right? Thirdly, I have had nightmares the past 2 nights about being soaked in blood (even tho mine was an mmc). How do I get through another day without cracking up?

Sorry for the mememe, I can't talk to dh atm as we are on holiday with friends.

nickstermum · 20/02/2011 08:12

Orange, I tend to cook my eggs poached so the White is firm and the yolk a bit runny. In three first trimesters it has been eggs that I have craved and eggs that have stopped me hurling :)

Ar - same scan issues here my love as that was when mc was discovered :( terrifying, shaking but it's the only way to get reassurance! Moo told me to fix to a spot on the wall til they say baby and heartbeat are fine! You will sob that's a given.... It's like mental scarring! I actually enjoyed my 14 week scan, largely cod they heard the heartbeat the day beforehand.

Terrible dinner party last night. Friend cooked lamb covered in almonds forgetting dh is allergic lol... Poor dh... She was mortified! It wasn't nice really, been up all night farting :(

nickstermum · 20/02/2011 08:07

Take that maids outfit off mummy!! Passes her glass of wine to guzzle! Can't wait to see you properly over here :)

mummyabroad · 20/02/2011 03:00

Hello diffed ladies,

group congratulations to everyone hope you are doing well.Grin I do lurk from time to time but am not up to date at the min, so I hope I am not coming in at a dodgey time.

Just wanted to ask Pink and Pretty, have you both been tested for NK cells and were the results high? There is a lady called matsmama on the Recurrent Buns thread who was asking for info about this, and I wondered if you could share anything you might know with her? Thanks lovelies.

AandRMum · 19/02/2011 22:12

[http://m.guardian.co.uk/society/2007/may/29/health.medicineandhealth?cat=society&type=article Posted on motherthread] Found this an interesting read for a different point of view on foods in pregnancy Orange From the FSA website, the egg thing will affect you not the baby - I tend to be willing to take the minimal risk of it making me sick much quicker than anything which may effect the bean!

OrangeGloss · 19/02/2011 20:59

AandR I was the same about the scan room, but the decision was made for me. I may have had a pre-12 week scan somewhere private that wouldn't be so busy and a bit less 'public' if it was bad news

Digi good news about the half-way trimester mark, hope tonight goes well

Nix I think I'll have a look for that thread as runny egg is the one thing I really really want :)

nickstermum · 19/02/2011 20:41

I did quite a bit of egg research, in fact there is a whole thread about foods over in conception. But, each to their own. I eat the odd runny egg but don't touch any alcohol at all, some people are the complete opposite :) desperate for a piece of brie :) or pate and baguette :)

mrsrobinredbreast · 19/02/2011 18:35

Onions The Appletizer was just about okay, not the ice cold glass of sauvignon that I was after but hey ho. The Eisberg alcohol free wine was wheeled out quite a lot at my Mum's when I was having my DD. It's not bad actually.

Emoo, thanks for the info on the scans. I saw my GP on Thursday and asked if I could have my 12 week scan nearer 10 weeks and he said he thought they may offer me an early scan anyway. Not holding my breath though so will prob end up paying for a private one nearer 9 weeks.

Nix, thanks for the info on St Mary's, I will keep that in mind.

A&R, I know what you mean about going back into the scan room. Just the thought of going for a scan at the moment makes me start to fret.

Hope you have all had good Saturdays. I am feeling very un-pregnant today, just tired. Trying not to read into this. More Appletizer and more chocolate on the cards for me tonight. My life is so rock and roll!

digitalgirl · 19/02/2011 18:32

Just popping in quickly to declare myself officially 6 weeks today. Felt v un-pg this morning so much so I cracked open another cbd which of course can't say more than 3+, but it did so with reassuring promptness. Anyway, since then have had to have a two hour afternoon nap from backache and feeling a bit 'off'. So feel better.

Am off to friends for dinner - they already know about current state and previous so will not have to make up silly excuses for not drinking.

Will have a good ole catch up tomorrow.

(but quick hug for velvet I got my bfp at 10dpo so know exactly how that time between bfp and af due date drags).

AandRMum · 19/02/2011 18:23

Has anyone not done an early scan? I have an unreasonable fear of going back to the scan department and I am trying to decide whether that will be stronger than my need to make sure everything is progressing!! Need a strategy in place for when I go to the doctors sometime in the next week or so if this one remains sticky ...

Spoke with my mother and best friend yesterday and didn't tell them - absolutely unheard of in my land - normally can't keep a single thought to myself!
