Hello!

Newly updiffed and freaking out about spotting, cramping, the wait until your first scan and each little twinge? Settle in for lots of hand holding and supprt until you're ready to move to grads.

Lots of love

Also, Womble - the booking in appt is a huge milestone, I also booked mine last time and had to cancel it (which was desperately miserable at the time). Hoorah for getting this far! They should be able to see all limbs etc at the 12 week scan. Depending on how good the machine is and whether the bean is behaving they may see fingers and toes as well. :)

owlbooty · 21/02/2011 14:02

I've still got a soft spot for the plain old-fashioned jam doughnut - putting cream in them is just plain Wrong though. I do like a nice Krispy Kreme though even though the terrible spelling makes my teeth clench involuntarily.

Is Knitter the next scan person then? And Digi afterwards? I shall send all the good vibes in your general directions, anyone else who's braving the dildocam this week please speak up :)

mrsrobinredbreast · 21/02/2011 13:52

Knitter, I confess to never having had a kripsy creme either, I haven't even heard of them. Have obviously never lived Wink

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/02/2011 13:41

robin thanks - can feel the warm fuzzy vibes aleady :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/02/2011 13:39

nix Shock YOU'VE NEVER HAD A KRISPY CREME - OMG....!

They're totally delicious and so much nicer than any other donut. One result is that i now eat vastly less donuts than I used to as I can't bear normal donuts now...

Well done for getting to 16 weeks BTW.... are you starting to relax about everything? Or is the fear still there?

mrsrobinredbreast · 21/02/2011 13:37

Knitter Will be thinking of you for tomorrow's scan and sending robin type vibes bzzzzzzzzz.

Nix When can you use a doppler from? I may need surgically removing from mine when I get to use it.

Digi thinking of you too. No words of wisdom to add to what others have already said.

6+1 for me today, it had all gone wrong already for me last time, did I but know it. I may have the teeniest, tiniest beginnings of a bump but that might just be the chocolate that I am getting through at the moment. Oh roll on 12 weeks, this bit is hard.

Wombat33 · 21/02/2011 13:29

Hello all. sorry, I have not been online over the weeken so am a bit behind on news - I'm just going to jump back in and say congratulations to tunnocks and send big hugs to those worrying today. I agree with Owl that allthough the worrying never goes, the worst bit is def around the time of a previous loss. It will get better xxx

Had my booking-in appointment at the weekend - a big milestone forme as I'd just arranged it last time around but never made it as far as the appointment date. 12 wk scan is a week today. Eeek. I'm really hoping that everything is going to be okay and that they're going to be able to tell us whether our bean definately does have all it's limbs and apendages. I'm starting to feel very bloated/fat and uncomfortable and really want to be able to tell close family our news, but don't want to do so until we get some reassurance that everything is okay. Fingers crossed!

nickstermum · 21/02/2011 12:57

Ah would love to keep chickens......
too many foxes round here. Foxy came right into the lounge last summer... and got chased off by DH and his baseball bat! Too tame, and around the same time as those little babies got mauled. And my cats like creatures of the feathered variety also...!

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/02/2011 12:46

oooh and to enter the eggs debate I ate soft boiled egges when pregnant with DS and no problems here... We have our own chickens and if I didn't eat them we'd drown in an egg mountain (which isn't as much fun as a donut mountain)

KnitterNotTwitter · 21/02/2011 12:40

Hellooooo - sorry for no postings at the weekend. Was off at my mum and Dad's doing my best to not tell them about pregnancy...even when mum said that she thought I'd put on a bit of weight in the tummy department!

Welcome tunnocks definitely know/remember you - very excited to have you on board

Hugs to hairy hope you're doing ok

Just walked past the Krispy Creme shop in Victoria station - now thinking I should have invested in a box for y'all... next time

Getting hopefull for tomorrow's scan. DH and I are aiming to be at St Georges for when it opens at 8.30am... will get on here and let you know the outcome as soon as I can obviously.

Still feeling knackered, still have worlds perkiest nipples, slight heavy womb feeling - especially when in bed, sense of smell definitely heightened, still go dizzy when I stand up..... so I'm guessing that I'm still pg!! Just need it to not be in the tube... Fingers crossed please...

owlbooty · 21/02/2011 12:11

I think, with the wonderful benefit of hindsight, that the very worst weeks were the week I'd lost the previous one (7 weeks) plus the two weeks after that where I felt I was on borrowed time before the early scan I had. After that point it got significantly better and the worry, whilst still there, was not nearly as all-consuming. So whilst this is the hardest bit, there is a big old light at the end of the tunnel and it's not that far away.

Digi hope you feel like absolute shite all week long, lovely Grin

lovemysleep · 21/02/2011 12:05

thanks nicks - I try to remember that about symptoms. Just been round Tesco, and have felt all weird and floaty, so that's reassuring.

Digi I really feel for you with it being your week when it went wrong last time. Friday will soon come round and fingers crossed, your scan will be fine. Hang in there xx

digitalgirl · 21/02/2011 11:53

Congratulations tunnocks

Waves back at hairy

Woke up feeling v nonpg again, but absolutely starving after cooked breakfast so bit more reassured. As hard as I'm trying to stay positive this is the week where it went wrong last time - so mentally preparing myself. Scan this Friday to prove my fears wrong.

Have had a v easy weekend with little in the way of symptoms. Hoping to feel shite all week.

nickstermum · 21/02/2011 10:53

Love sickness comes and goes hon

lovemysleep · 21/02/2011 09:12

Nick and Emoo I'm wobbling too......not felt sick for the last few days, despite feeling awful on Friday. Still have sore boobs, but am definately in the grips of the FEAR.......

Lovely to see the bean on Friday, but in some ways, now I've seen it,it would make it so much more awful to lose it Sad.

I suppose I'm just going to have to accept these wobbly days as part of the process - I just can't imagine how I'm going to feel when I get to the magic 12 weeks. Bet I'll be relieved, but I have a feeling that the anxiety will still be there - guess we'll all feel the exact same way, and until we are actually holding our babies, we won't believe that it...

Have a good day - I'm going to go and try to find my zen, as I believe the little bugger is hiding....

nickstermum · 21/02/2011 07:24

Wishes the subconscious would fuck right off with the vivid miscarriage Dreams :( :( :( Angry

Woke up having had a vivid dream about heavy blood loss with cramps and of course had to run to the loo.. Of course nothing :) :) :) phew! Made me start off Monday all wobbly tho..

Morning all....

Thanks fir the Fetal heartbeat info babes/fucker, I had seen a thread where the hb was recorded as 185 so rather than thinking that was too high, of course I thought mine at 145 was too slowConfused :)

Emoo · 20/02/2011 22:28

Evening! Lovely to see you here teacake - thought your chart was looking promising yesterday!

All ok here - still getting the cramps so a little uncertain and cannot bring myself to be fully hopeful yet. Only 2 days since my positive 7 week scan and already wobbling! No blood yet though

Love to all xx mmmmmm cream cakes yum!

lovemysleep · 20/02/2011 22:09

No, full sized big, bloater ones!! Sure the Brie and lemsip are fine - think of all those people who don't know they're pg for weeks (lucky sods!), and drink booze etc.

Tunnocks hello and congratulations!

Have eaten 3, yes 3, cream cakes today.....this is not normal!!!!

Ladybee · 20/02/2011 20:50

Yay! tunnocks congratulations! Cranpy irritable uterus feelings all to be expected - best of luck with the next few weeks.

I am regretting deciding to just have peanut butter toast for tea. Was feeling rubbish at the time, DH has cooked himself something and now the feeling has passed and I'm starving. No idea what to eat though. Poo.
