And hugs to velvet too - bleeding is just the scariest thing to see :(

KnitterNotTwitter · 22/02/2011 12:23

Hey

Back from my scan and all is well :-) Saw little bean and very little heartbeat. I'd calculated us as being 6+1 but it's only measuring 5+4 but that's ok :) Revised due date of 21/10/2011.... Which would be very handy as it's probably half term week and my sister who is a teacher could look after DS - but maybe I'm thinking too far ahead.... Hmm

Obviously I cried with the relief of it not being ectopic. I also told them that I'd be back at 9 weeks to see how it was doing.... the MMC started struggling at 8 weeks and I will need to know how this one is doing....

Thrilled for your pups Dachs

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:18

velvet I had loads of implantation bleeding, FX it's just that for you as well

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 12:12

Velvet, some bleeding usually does happen around implantation, ESP it seems after mc,sadly! Keep an eye on it, is it just a bit or being followed by any more? Hopefully it's just a bit of old blood!

I am told that after mc your lining can be quite thick so it's quite normal as baby burrows to dislodge some lining xx ((hugs)) though as it's not reassuring ! Nothing is xx

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:07

dig I fully expect that now I'm feeling happy to have zero symptoms and am more convinced that I might actually have a baby after all that the symptoms will kick in with a vengeance and I'll get really bad ms. Until that happens though I'm going to try to relax and stay zen :)

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 12:03

Thanks guys :)

Do any of you know how to date a pregnancy from IVF? Everything on the internet says it's dated from 14 days before the egg collection date (which is the fertilisation date) but the clinic today said it was from 14 days before the embryo transfer date, which is 3 days later. I know it doesn't make a lot of difference, but it seems implausible that it's dated from 3 days after fertilisation to me, so I've been calculating from egg collection. Any thoughts?

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 11:57

Cross posts d, that's awesome news xxx

digitalgirl · 22/02/2011 11:51

Brilliant news dachs brilliant. And so glad you're one of the no symptoms types too, makes me feel a bit better about my 'slightly heavy' boobs and v occasional womb twinges being my ONLY symptoms.

Wombat33 · 22/02/2011 11:51

Dachs! Fab news on the scan Grin Grin Don't fret about the difference in their hbs. They are both well within the normal range and the rate will fluctuate all the time. Apparently it depends a lot on how active they're being at any given moment and as two little individuals they are bound to be dififerent! Grin

Velvetcu · 22/02/2011 11:49

Yay dachs I'm grinning for you too :)

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 11:41

Haven't caught up.. As went to bed early last night.. But just to say orange stop torturing yourself and step away from the mmc stories !

Enjoy lactolose owls! Did you know that apple juice does the sane thing? Have to give it to Ds for that very same reason :)

back from scan - still 2 pups Grin

pup1 = 10.8mm and has a heartbeat of 144bpm and pup2 = 9.7mm and heartbeat of 131bpm

Am trying not to freak out at the difference in their heartbeats! It was amazing hearing them - I never expected to be able to hear them this early! DH was completely shocked.

Hope everyone else with scans today gets good news. I think it might be beginning to seem a bit real now! Still a long way to go, but it's very nice seeing them growing and their little hearts beating away.

Feel a bit like a Cheshire cat - I keep grinning to myself, but then I have to stop so people at work don't think I've gone completely mental!

For all you symptom worriers out there I have no symptoms at all, (apart from slightly sore BiscuitBiscuit ) but doesn't seem to be affecting the pupkins

Ah, buggery-bollocks - just managed to delete a long post......

Just wanted to say hugs to those with cramps and brown goo too - fingers crossed here.

Haven't got it in me to re-write the whole post again - maybe later!

Can't do the button up on my jeans, and my left boob seems bigger than my right - suspect those 3 cream cakes at the weekend went right to that boob! Am bloated, and look more preggers than I am - yet too scared to buy clothes or bras yet....

Daisybell1 · 22/02/2011 10:04

Hugs and sympathies to all those mentalling today. I don't know if its any consolation but I've had constant period pains since I found out (am 10+7). The fab ladies on here calmed me down reassuring me that things need to stretch out and that everything is probably fine.

I also have nausea and an upset stomach Tunnocks and this morning was a delightful combo of that and projectile vomiting. Lurvely, isn't it?

Wombat33 · 22/02/2011 09:58

Oh big hugs to those with cramps and/or brown/red this morning. I'm keeping everything crossed for you all xxx

Good luck also to the scanners to day!

Velvetcu · 22/02/2011 09:53

tunnocks big hugs to you. I'm the opposite - no cramps but had very dark brown/red when I wiped this morning :( I've had nothing since but am now just sitting here miserable waiting for it to all go wrong.

((( tunnocks ))) if it's any consolation, when I was about 6 weeks I had terrible cramps and backache and I called my consultant in a big panic and he said it's very common and I shouldn't worry. I've been having them on and off since then and combined with quite a lot of CM it frequently sends me running to the toilet on knocker check alert. So far so good though so fingers crossed it's all going to be fine for you. I need to work on that time machine already, think we could all do with it!

Mmm, lactulose. Grin

Orange you nutter, I want you to go off and draw yourself a pie chart and then stare at the massive section of it that isn't the tiny, tiny percentage that something might go wrong. And like Bee said before, step away from the MC boards. That is not where you need to be right now.

  • I think there's a few scans this week, Daisy, please do join in the mentalling!

Pink yep, that was TMI. It is your digestive system going haywire due to insanity preg hormones. I still cannot stop belching. Chuffs of Doom seem to be par for the course in the first trimester as well :)

In terms of bras I have, excitingly, gone from a 36B to a 38D. I am doing a little happy dance to celebrate. :) The ones I've got are from mothercare and they are v.comfy and not horrendously granny-bra-like.

Irene I had a bloody awful headache for most of last week and paracetamol really didn't do much - I do like the lemon drizzle cake idea though Grin

By the way was it one of you lovely lot who was talking about Malteser bunnies? I finally tracked one down last night. OMG. It was so lovely I almost drove back to the shop and bought the rest of their stock.

I'm off to the wilds of the west country today (taking my trusty ribena with me) so probably won't be around for a bit but want to send lots of good luck sticky bean vibes to all having scans or appointments this week - looking foward to coming back and reading lots of good news :)

Hugs to all x

OrangeGloss · 22/02/2011 08:08

Thanks Pink I just rang poor dh at work to freak out Blush he deserves some kind of medal

I had pains like that on a few occasions a few weeks ago, was so worried. Then wondered if I was constipated. Lactulose proved me right :)

Daisybell1 · 22/02/2011 08:06

I've had a quick scan of the new? thread to see how all are doing - waves frantically to all. Good luck for those with scans today - unlike Wombat all mine have been by dildo cam and I've found them fine, in fact, given my bladder, they're distinctly preferable!

Still an imposter here but it feels like my natural home given my constant mentalling.

Latest subject for crapping myself freak-out is my scan next Weds. Oh hell...

PinkFondantFancy · 22/02/2011 07:53

orange try and chill-think about how rare and unlikely that is.

aandr standard meeting food??? That would be a complete disaster-I'm weak enough for biscuits!!

Good luck today scandudes!! I am not joining you in scandom today ad I am trying to be brave and wait a week.... Confused

Thought I'd share some amusement with you all-I told my boss that I'm diffed yesterday, she looked at my stomach and said "I noticed-how many months are you?" Blush I am so bloated at the moment I would also hve guessed months rather than weeks..... Eeeek!!

TMI alert-for about 24 hours now I've been having really bad gut cramping like you'd get if you've got diahorria (sorry, spelling!!) but when I go to the loo everything's fine. Chuffs could be used as some kind of chemical weapon though.... What's going on???
