Morning ladies

digi i forgot to ask which side I ovulated from this time... The MMC was from the right - it was the left tube I lost. i heard a story about a woman who had an ectopic and tube removed. She then concieved twins, non-identical, both of which had travelled across from the tube-less side and down the other tube and implanted into her womb nicely - very inspiring :)

hugs and waves to everyone

lovemysleep · 23/02/2011 09:16

lady good luck today

Morning nix and anyone else around

OrangeGloss · 23/02/2011 07:59

Dachs that's right, I go by their stats as they must be the experts

I feel sorry for the person in the room next to me, thin walls and me hurling at 7am every day Blush

nickstermum · 23/02/2011 07:54

Morning. Dachs btw you haven't seen the stat that says a hb seen at 8 weeks has a 98% of going to term.... That's on the mc association website ... Only another day or two to go :) xx

PinkFondantFancy · 23/02/2011 07:42

lady I'll be thinking of you today!! Very irritating about the lack of booking in-I'd be tempted to get arsey when they tut at you though-WTF are you supposed to do if they don't book you in???

dacha do owly's pie chart thing-I agree that you're not 100% certain but if you draw the chart you'll find there's a pretty convincingly big chunk in the 'gonna be fine camp'. Then all you've got to do is convince yourself there's no reason why you wouldn't be in that camp this time. I'm still working in it myself but it seems to be helpful....

I am knaaaackkkkerrrrredddddd no idea how I'm going to get through today Confused

I woke up excited that it's raining!! I know that sounds weird but weather here has been just grey and boring for about a month now so quite excited about having any kind of change!! Clearly if it had been 30 degrees and i could have had breakfast outside that would have been preferable but hey ho! Ok going now.... Have a good day everyone! Xx

OrangeGloss · 22/02/2011 21:05

Bee fx for you for tomorrow, sorry you'll have the admin trouble but at least you're prepared for it!

Nix it's probably the salad cravings not giving you enough carb

Dachs now, I'm not one to talk, but leave google alone!!

lovemysleep · 22/02/2011 20:32

Hello mamap don't worry about missing me - I can barely keep up with everyone here - diminished brain capacity....Grin

Nicks am hanging in there, sweetie! Taking each day as it comes - off to see Dr.Shehata on Monday - so I'll get another scan, which I hope will show a growing bean. If it doesn't, the thought of getting on the tube and the train after is pretty grim....Sorry you've felt shit today, here's to a better day tomorrow.

Dachs repeat what Nicks says - stay away from google! Statistics will drive you mental - I speak from experience!

Digi glad the counselling went well today, and the symptoms thing sounds like a really good idea.

Irene sorry to hear that you're getting flashbacks to the mc - that's horrible. I can barely remember some of mine, and I get them jumbled up too. You definately just have to focus on one day at a time - some will be good, some will be crap, but hopefully, we'll all get throught this 1st trimester.

Pink you may have to start using those boobs to your advantage - if not to get men to bend to your will, then a shelf for a glass of Ribena is always a winner Grin..

Ok, lovely ladies - hello to anyone I've missed. Gonna scoff some cherries and grapes, then I think I may have to go to bed.....am super-sleepy.....

Ladybee · 22/02/2011 20:15

Hi I'm out here, on phone tonight as knackered and in bed already - although not out of clothes yet as may get a second wind and appetite later. Scan is tomorrow, have had a return of nausea although managing to avoid actually vomiting most mornings it's tough and go sometimes. Nausea in evenings too. Trying to remain positive although obviously terrified about tomorrow's scan. I should 10+6.

I haven't had a booking in appt yet, so no handheld notes - this means that yet again when I go to consultant appt the secretary will look at me like I'm some crazy lady and midwives will tut that there's nowhere to write down urine test and bp results. Must remember to ask cons about longhaul flights as well - not sure whether id need to increase the clexane dose.

Sorry no namechecks I've been reading on train every morning and evening. X fingers for me tomorrow.

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 20:02

STEP AWAY FROM DOCTOR GOOGLE!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 22/02/2011 19:55

nix yep. A few minutes of googling the likelihood of mc after seeing a heartbeat at 7+4 has brought me right back down to paranoia again!

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 19:51

PS Wombo and velvet yep... welcome to the world of sorefanjo... and not because of too much nookie!! Still religiously wipe and poke... oh dear TMI Blush

nickstermum · 22/02/2011 19:48

GOD! i have felt shit today. started the day off howling on my sisters shoulder as i felt so awful. Drained, exhausted, overtired and just nothingness :( Then topped off by a drive from cheshire to MK and back again after a 2 hour meeting (thankfully i put on some slap and acted almost jolly and it was a good meeting!) Felt better after i stopped for a KFC in the absence of any supermarkets!

Im not sure but i may have the tail end of a bug that my whole family have had.. leavign them feeling similar - unpregnant! Started on the spatone t see if it can give me a boost...but my appetite is not much so i think perhaps am not eating enough!

mama EAT IT! if you crave it your body needs it Grin which means baby wants it! A few extra pounds - who cares?!?! Grin in the bigger scheme of things they will drop off easy enough after its arrived. You are naturally slender and wont have a prob shifting it.. :)

pink stop tantalising the locals with the perkypinksters

orange its ok to mental, but what you have to do is try and look at the positives! Look at the symptoms you have (3 x puking - thats a lot!) and your scan. Try to stay away from MC stories. Self preservation is important to stop you from going mad, but also horror stories are not good for your subconscious. I bet you dream about it tonight! Heartbeat was picked up by doppler at 14 weeks. Apparently it depends on how slim you are(!)

Velvet in the word of the gynae at A&E when i visited recently.... brown is good! How it can be good i dont know. Apparently it is. Obviously you and i know Clear would be better though x

Dachs and knitter have you come back down to earth yet?!?!

love how are you my love? wombat? everything ok with you? digi im sorry that you rowed with your mum hon, thats not good x Good you are still going to councelling.

BEe are you out there...? Hope everythings ok xx

irene your scan/booking in will be here before you know it xx... does seem like a long wait though x

IreneHeron · 22/02/2011 19:35

Orange freaking out is what this thread is for. It says so in the title Smile. It isn't easy to freak out in real life. Vent and post about the minutia of it all on here so you don't bore your nearest and dearest.

OrangeGloss · 22/02/2011 18:53

Good work on the increased ( Biscuit Biscuit ) Owl and Wombat Grin
Tunnocks and Velvet sorry you're having such a tough time at the moment (((hugs))) the dr said post-MC my uterus would be more sensitive and prone to cramps/bleeding. Didn't stop me being terrified
Dachs great news about the pups :) I bet the heartbeat difference is just linked with their different growth/stages and nothing to worry about. No idea about dating except to go by the measurements? Sorry. If it's any help my LMP and gestational age are 11 days apart so not that exact
Knitter that's great news!! I'm wishing you a very boring but symptom-filled few weeks
Nix not harsh at all, I need to be told! :) you mentioned movement, when did you feel it first?
Mamap my stomach constantly feels empty and I'm constantly amazed at how much I'm eating Blush

I'm very Envy of everyone that's heard heartbeats. I've seen it on screen, but have to wait til 16 weeks to hear
Welcome Bumps my MS didn't start til 8 weeks on the dot, then I've been pukezilla ever since!
Apples I think it was Mamap that recommended one near brum, £75 which is cheapest I've found
Velvet I'd tell your mum, you need a woman's support, and only a woman that has been pg will truly understand, dh's try as they might can't fill that bit
Digi glad the counselling helped, I'm considering a repeat top-up visit well worth it

Sorry for this morning's meltdown Blush in my defence, I wasn't on MC thread, I was innocently tripping around PG threads :( I think I'm worse as I'm on my own away on a course, and last MC started on last course. But no, must be positive! And I'm positive I've puked 3 times today already so am taking that as a good sign Grin

digitalgirl · 22/02/2011 18:08

velvet do you have a friend you could tell? I've actually told a few friends - the ones that were really there for me after the miscarriages. I did tell my mum, but we ended up rowing about it quite spectacularly. She is very supportive, but incredibly emotional and when it clashes with me being hormonal it's not pretty.

knitter out of interest did they say which ovary you ovulated from? I remember reading an article about a woman who lost a tube after an ectopic, and had the opposite ovary removed for some other reason. But the remaining ovary and tube somehow found each other and she conceived naturally, much to her and her husband's surprise. Amazing what the body will do to keep going.

irene I don't even have nausea or sore boobs, but have had one scan so I know something's there.

I have just come back from counselling. It was really good to talk about all the little things that I'd been storing up and not wanting to bother DH about. One way I've been coping these few weeks is to write down every single little symptom, no matter how insignificant. That way, when I go a few hours feeling non-pg, I can look back at my diary and see that I did recently have some symptoms. I've stopped POAS-ing, as this is my new reassurance. I worked out that today is the day I started to lose my symptoms last time. All day I've been feeling 'period-y' but not in a scary way so I'm actually feeling really secure right now Smile, hoping it stays that way.

mamapower · 22/02/2011 17:58

Grin at pinks attention grabbing norks!!

IreneHeron · 22/02/2011 17:49

Velvet I can understand that feeling. My mum and DH are the only people who know about my pregnancy. I'm lucky with my Mum, she's a pain in the arse in many ways but is particularly good at looking after people being reassuring. She's also been on at me for sooo long to have another child that every symptom is interesting to her. Sorry yours isn't there for you in the right way.

Mama thanks. I know I've just got to let the days and weeks go by. I'm getting nasty flashbacks to my mc which I'd buried in the back of my mind.

This thread is fab though, lots of good scans and heartbeats. Smile

Velvetcu · 22/02/2011 17:28

my mum is pretty useless as a mum really thats his reason lol but I had a big discussion with her in December about how she wasnt there for me after the mc, she didnt say anything around the due date etc and she got all upset and said its because she feels like I don't need her etc etc.

I would rather not tell her but I just need someone in RL Confused

PinkFondantFancy · 22/02/2011 17:24

love my tummy is very tender to touch so definitely sleeping on my front would be out of the question for me!!

PinkFondantFancy · 22/02/2011 17:23

Oh also velvet just tell your mum then tell DH it slipped out by accident. If she can hold your hand while you're wibbling that is worth everything. What's his reason for not wanting to tell her? Was she unsupportive before?

PinkFondantFancy · 22/02/2011 17:21

Irene same here-if it wasn't for the private scans I'd not have any contact with anyone official until my booking in appointment around 12 WEEKS!!!! how shit is that!!

Am on train back again now and I thought I was starving so downed a steak pasty but combining that with a tilting train I feel roughbags. Plus would be better if I could have a little sleep but the guy sitting diagonally opposite keeps staring at my boobs (admittedly they are quite well on display but even my modest tops look like I've got my boobs out now!!) so I daren't.

velvet I've also read that 7 weeks is the earliest lots of people will see you. Worth asking gp for early scan-seems from here that some are kind and understanding and others dont give a toss but if you don't ask you don't get I guess!!

mamapower · 22/02/2011 17:20

Irene you just sit right there and hold tight... your scans will be upon you before you know it... along with some delightful symptoms, enjoy it whilst it lasts Grin

Dachs sounds like you had a fab sonographer, makes an amazing difference.

AR thanks that's really good to know... I could quite easily devour steaks instead of mid morning biscuits Grin

love I forgot to wave to you earlier I knew i'd missed someone!

Velvet I appreciate that decisions regarding your baby should be made by you and dh but right now this is about you, your anxiety, your body, your stress, your need for empathy and total understanding about the highs and lows of pg (that only a woman can truly give), on this one occasion I would either just tell your mum or just tell dh you're going to tell your mum and do it.
