What's wrong with being paranoid?

Daisybell1 · 23/02/2011 13:50

Fingers crossed for you on Friday Wombat, that new GP sounds lovely and much more understanding.

Good news from your scan Knitter, and Dachs yours sounds like good news too. Your posts frequently make my cry. But then, so did Johnny Wilkinson coming on at the end of the England/Italy rugby match - blooming pregnancy hormones Hmm

Sorry I can't name check everyone but Pink I am sooooo glad someone feels like I do at the moment. I swear, I'm going to have ripped the boss's head off by the end of the day! Grrr Angry

PinkFondantFancy · 23/02/2011 13:39

Fingers crossed all is well emoo and wombat.

Have got uncontrollable rage today. Especially with colleagues that are being complete tossbags. RRAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH

PinkFondantFancy · 23/02/2011 13:38

dacha why exactly are you doing this to yourself? Did the consultant say they are too small? No? Well then. Plus I'm sure the measurements etc are completely different for twins.

mamapower · 23/02/2011 13:27

Dachs stop it hon! You have seen both beans, with good heartbeats and all is well! Bloody hell, I'll have to put one of those parental locks on your PC to stop you looking at all this and panicking yourself!

nickstermum · 23/02/2011 12:24

eek at that CRL table,.. mine at 14+3 was 8.5 so a biggie!

Thanks Mama Blush i havent noticed lumps but just some pain and a touch of bleeding. Have been a little constipated thanks to the spatone! Gah!

Rain rain go away, come back another day..... miserable bloody weather Brew

DoubleDiffedDachs · 23/02/2011 12:21

glad to have been of service knitter

Now I'm worried about mine being too small though :(

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/02/2011 12:14

Dachs have just found this CRL table and actually that seems about right :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/02/2011 12:09

oooh - bean is only 5+4 though

DoubleDiffedDachs · 23/02/2011 11:58

knitter CRL is bean! It stands for crown rump length. how old is bean? Mine grew from 1mm to 10mm between 5+6 and 7+4

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/02/2011 11:55

Hey Measurements from yesterday were:

Gestational Sac (Mean) 14.7 mm
Gestational Sac Volume 1.5 ml
CRL 3.4mm

no idea what CRL is though.... too big for bean m'thinks...

mamapower · 23/02/2011 11:46

great news wombat I shall kepp fx for you Smile

Wombat33 · 23/02/2011 11:44

Mamap I've got my nuchal on Monday but the lovely GP (not my normal one!) has arranged a reassurance scan for Friday "so that you don't have to wait and worry over the weekend".

mamapower · 23/02/2011 11:33

nix piles (little lumps) are very common in pregnancy (experience speaking here) and nothing to be Blush about! They are swollen blood vessels and are made worse by constipation or diaroreah and hence them being common in pregnancy. Just check with the pharmacist but I think most of the over counter treatments are fine to use when pg.

Thanks emoo that's great, will get a few ordered. ((Hugs)) for you but remember brown goo is normal Smile

wombat when's you next scan? I am sure all is well ((hugs))

dachs I'm gonna get the fish...

Waves to all

Wombat33 · 23/02/2011 11:31

I hope so Nix!

nickstermum · 23/02/2011 11:25

Dont forget wombo the placenta starts to kick in and take over leading up to 12 weeks... When i was scanned at 14 weeks the sonographer didnt know if it would be there to see... as sometimes it can be later or earlier. Mine was there and fully functioning which she was surprised at, so... it happened a little earlier. Maybe the bleed and the lak of symptoms are placenta related - hope so xx

Wombat33 · 23/02/2011 11:20

Thanks all and fx for you too Emoo. I'd wail at GP if I were you to try and get another EPU scan xxx

PS symptoms pretty much all gone here - I was enjoying that fact thinking it was becasue I've reached 11+2 but now of course it's adding to my anxiety. It's a never ending rollercoaster this pg lark!

nickstermum · 23/02/2011 11:01

wombat & Emoo Hugs xxx brown is not so bad xxxx but am sure thats not reassuring whatsoever xxx

nickstermum · 23/02/2011 11:00

love havent been able to sleep on my tummy for a while, shove a pillow under your leg and cock it up Grin I am normally a tummy sleeper, but flat on my back works for me atm...assuming of course thats when i can sleep!! Insomnia seems to be a thing of normality for me between 2 and 4 am :(

Re the mat clothes. I flatly refused to wear mat clothes before 12 week scan, even though none of my normal clothes fitted. Lived in leggings and baggy tops. (last pg i had just gone out and bought mat clothes to find out two days later i had MC. So they got shelved and it took a while for me to bring them out for fear of jinxing!)

OK - Help can anyone give me information on what Piles are? TMI Blush but....

Emoo · 23/02/2011 10:32

Wombat - poor you - it's horrible isn't it... fingers crossed all is well.

Knitter and digi - one of my friends was told (after 1 tube removed) that it decreased your chances of pregnancy to 70% of normal, rather than the 50% of normal you might expect. So I guess that would fit with your twin story. Good news on your scan Knitter - I wouldn't worry, digi - I don't think you would expect to see a baby necessarily at 5+2, and Knitter was very lucky to see the heartbeat so early. Out of interest - what did it measure at 5+4?

Pink - where are you again? It's raining here, and I'm not excited in the slightest! Sorry, I did PMSL when you wrote "knocker check" yesterday!

Dachs - Well done on the scan - sounds like they are growing nicely. Sorry you are also feeling so worried. I feel your pain..

Orange - puking sounds promising! Glad you've got over your meltdown.

MamaP - I understand your concern about eating too much... I have been over-eating since about October - firstly because I was listening to my cravings while pregnant, then comfort-eating after MC, then listening to cravings again... Am getting to the stage where I need bigger/maternity trousers but I fear it is all just lard. In spite of all that though, I do think your hunger is normal. Yes it was me with the vests

Digi - well done for stopping POASing. Your symptom diary sounds like a good idea.

Irene - sorry to hear about the flashbacks - if it helps, I get them too.

Velvet - I agree - if you want to tell your mum, just tell her. None of DH's business. About scans - my first (for reassurance - no symptoms, 7 weeks) was NHS EPU. I am thinking of getting a second privately before the dating scan, but if I carry on getting the brown go, might go to my GP and wail and try to get back to EPU.

Love - I never sleep on my tum anyway, so I can eat as much food as I like! You'll have to eat another 3 cream cakes and see if you can inflate the other boob equally!

A&R - steaks for morning tea?? wow..!

Tunnocks - glad to hear you're puking too!

Owl - Hope you're enjoying the West Country with your malteser bunnies and enormous bust!

Nix - no wonder you are feeling exhausted if you are recovering from a bug and having to do long drives and long meetings... make sure you put your feet up and get waited on by DH whenever you can!

DoubleDiffedDachs · 23/02/2011 10:20

bee Good luck today!

emoo and wombat Lots of people have spotting. FX it's just one of those things and that everything is fine.

emoo Def worth going for a scan if you can, sounds like you'll be v worried otherwise

wombat Glad the EPU can fit you in. FX for Friday

orange lol at audible hurling! Grin

pink Hope you manage to get through the day. I'm tired too but I have to try to look alert as it's our corporate year end and we've got the auditors in so I have to vaguely look competent.

step away from Dr Google? Never - it's my new oracle! (sorry mummya if you're lurking...)

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/02/2011 10:08

hugs to the brown goo-ers.... Wombat and Emoo

Emoo · 23/02/2011 10:00

Hello all! I can see I have a lot of catching up to do...

Still wibbling after scan last week. Today is 7+5 which is exactly when I started spotting last time - and guess what?? - brown goo this morning Sad. The next week is not going to be fun. Just need to work out if/when it's worth going for a scan... I had also started to feel a bit nauseous over the weekend, but that's gone now. That happened last time too.

Good luck today ladybee

back soon... gone to read more!

Wombat33 · 23/02/2011 09:54

Good luck for you scan lady and anyone else having one today.

More pink/brown bleeding here last night and today with some pain. Have seen doc who's taken a urine sample and swab for infection. I get the results in 3-5 days. EPU can't fit me in until friday so I'm having a scan then to get some comfort (hopefully!) before the weekend.

KnitterNotTwitter · 23/02/2011 09:41

And fx for ladybee's scan today
