Newly updiffed and freaking out about spotting, cramping, the wait until your first scan and each little twinge? Settle in for lots of hand holding and supprt until you're ready to move to grads.

Lots of love

PMSL... at least he is trying digi...i normally do the prep and cooking and dh clears the bombsite.

Freaked out this weekend. Dont really want to post about it on here as i dont want to freak anyone else out.. its not about me! but need a bit of reassurance...

digitalgirl · 06/03/2011 19:37

Aaaaaaaaargh! Why are men so fucking useless in the kitchen?!!!! I am SUPPOSED to be RESTING but listening to dh stumble and swear while attempting to make dinner is making my blood boil!!!

digitalgirl · 06/03/2011 19:17

Welcome hils and Katherine and congrats on your bfps. It's terrifying but as you can see from the list we all seem to be slowly inching our way through the first trimester.

knitter feeling dizzy is one of my symptoms. I suppose it could be low bp I haven't had it checked. May ask this Friday at my scan. Thanks for the heads up. I'm also taking aspirin which I suppose could be lowering my bp even more.

I dared to look at one of my pg books this morning. I loved looking through it when pg with ds but now it feels like such a taboo. Anyway my symptoms don't seem to match any of the books. No sore boobs and no nausea, no increased need to wee.

Thought my 'symptoms' were easing but think I've overdone it today - shopping for veggie seeds and my mums bday pressie. Baked and iced a cake. Now have back ache and a hot 'periody' feeling in my womb. Feet up for the rest of the evening. Scratch that I can hear dh struggling to roll out a bit of pastry...

awwww Pink that is soooo cute!

Hi Katherine congrats on the BFP. I had a very blunt midwife on Friday tell me no there would not be any early scans just because I've had an mmc so hopefully yours are a bit nicer!

PinkFondantFancy · 06/03/2011 18:23

Evening all! Hope you'll all had nice weekends!

tunnocks hope you've found your swimming cozzie! I think there must be some fairy that goes around stealing them - I've lost one too. I am Envy Envy of your centre parcs trip! Hope you have a fabulous time.

:( at everyone's dreams, they sound horrible. Hopefully they will naff off soon - not the sort of stress you need!

Welcome katherine and congratulations on the BFP! Hope you're doing ok - feel free to add yourself to the list if you fancy.

knitter I've been feeling faint and dizzy on and off, but not actually blacking out. I've heard it's a good sign, I agree with mummya that you should definitely mention it though, especially the blacking out bit. I want to give your DS a big squeeze, he sounds absolutely gorgeous.

This arrived for me today wedding Grin Grin

katherine2008 · 06/03/2011 17:44

Hi Guys, Can I jump on board this thread? I have been on the ttc after mc thread since my mmc in December and got a BFP on Friday. Excited and terrified and a bit hmmmmm about the journey ahead and wondering like everyone else if there is likely to be any chance of an early scan on the NHS.... nice to see some familiar names and if it's ok I'll lurk around for a while...

Hmm at the bizarre dreams - don't worry, it's a symptom!!

I, on the other hand, had a very vivid dream last night about carrying a baby all around London in the middle of the night, including - for some unknown reason - walking over Tower Bridge several times Hmm. Obviously I have no baby of which to speak nor even the hint of a bfp so am happy to swop dreams with anyone getting too freaked out Grin

As you were, ladies...

Velvetcu · 06/03/2011 14:37

knitter I also had a dream about removing a blood soaked tampon last night! How freaky!!

MummyAbroad · 06/03/2011 14:21

Hi knitter I get super dizzy all the time too, exactly the same as when pregnant with DS (which means it is one of the symptoms that I like Grin ) From what I remember from discussing it with the doc last time, its more about having low blood pressure than being anemic (but being knackered is definitiely a symptom of anemia) My blood pressure is usually low anyway, and pregnancy lowers it further making you quite light headed. Definitely discuss it with doc/midwife though, anemia blood test is standard one, so they will pick it up if its there. Dont self prescribe iron or spatone first though, much better to have your blood tested first so you know where you stand, and then add the supplements. Be very careful, most iron supplements cause constipation!
Keeping yourself well hydrated will help (but not cure it)

KnitterNotTwitter · 06/03/2011 13:59

Question for you all.... I'm still knackered and keep blacking out almost every time I stand up. Anyone think that I could be anaemic?

If so I've got some iron tablets left over from when I had the ectopic... can I use them in pregnancy do you think?

KnitterNotTwitter · 06/03/2011 13:57

Hey ladies

Just having a cheeky post while DS has his afternoon nap. Then I must get out of my slobbing around clothes as we've people over for tea later!

Glad you liked the DS story. He's 2y and nearly 8 months but is a very grown up little boy.

Welcome and Congratulations to Hils lovely to have you with us...

Had a dream about bleeding last night. TMI alert Was most weird as it involved taking out a tampon with blood on it. But I don't even use them (mooncup girl).
I have decided not to take my subconscious seriously until it can close the obvious plot flaws in my dreams!

Also am attempting to overcome my magpie superstition as there are far too many single magpies around at the moment. And as yet I can't think of a sensible way a magpie can jinx this pregnancy...

Blueberry muffins were fab in RL btw :)

Awww mummya I loved that post, sorry, didn't mean to Blush you!! Mainly cos if I'd drunk 2 pints I'd have passed out in the pub without even making it to the wedding Grin

MummyAbroad · 06/03/2011 01:25

Blush Blush perhaps I should have name changed for that post Blush Blush

AandRMum · 05/03/2011 23:51

Hi All, Welcome hils make yourself comfy.

I am having a lovely girly weekend away - am sewing and chatting away to my heart's content.
Has been wonderful to have a break from the voices in the head - if only I could stay here for the next 34 weeks!!!

I need to join the forgetful pill brigade - is there any danger in double doses of folic acid - how will I know I am old when I do things like this now?!
Nix your dream was horrible! Stupid brains.
Pink channel the zen again. It will all be just fine

Right off to see what MummyA had to say!

owlbooty · 05/03/2011 18:41

Pink , just stick your bonce in this 'ere vice a minute... Grin

Dachs OMG I love rice crispie cakes. As it's almost easter, let's stick mini eggs on top for added lard-content. Yum :)

PinkFondantFancy · 05/03/2011 18:38

Also mummya big respect for your wedding story on the 'lessons I've learned' thread Grin LMAO!!

PinkFondantFancy · 05/03/2011 18:16

velvet cheeseburgers, YESS!!! Only maccy d's ones though, bean is very fussy!! Also Dominos pizza. I went to acupuncturist today having not been for a month and she asked me if I was managing to eat well Blush. She looked Shock even at the carefully selected highlights that I chose to share with her!!! Hehehe

nix you are totally right and the rational section of my brain agrees! Plus he did warn me when I got diffed and I had the choice of whether to be monitored that monitoring doesn't suit some people's personalities and can cause more anxiety than it relieves.... ER do you reckon they can see directly into your brain using dildo cam???

nickstermum · 05/03/2011 17:57

K pink... imagine you didnt have a consultant and were none the wiser? Thank god you do...... :) try looking at it like that?! Im sure it will all be fine xx

Velvetcu · 05/03/2011 17:56

If you swap the cakes for double cheeseburgers I would be delighted :) I've had a really big fat craving for about 4 days now!

Pink sorry you have been in a state - these consultants etc have no idea how what they say affects people. If he didnt sound panicked tho it must be ok :) I'm also Envy and frustrated at friends announcements via fb or anywhere else - all of ours have told everyone before 10 weeks without having scans or anything that they are updiffed despite DH warning them that it might not always work out right but guess what..they have all been fine! I also have this stupid 14yr old pregnant girl in my class to deal with on a daily basis.

Can someone teach me how to stop mentalling then?

Glad you had a good scan Daisy and welcome Hils pull up a bean bag :)

DoubleDiffedDachs · 05/03/2011 17:34

How did that happen? I'm the most mentally of all of us! Wink

PinkFondantFancy · 05/03/2011 17:26

Ps "cue to panic"..... Idiot phone
