Fairy sorry about rtd, fingers crossed for next month.

Lou it goes so quick.

Umbongo your nipples just need some time to toughen up, after about six weeks my nipples didn't hurt as much but let down still hurt like a bitch!

I only managed about 12 weeks with dd1 but feed mini until last month(she was 14 months) when she was 4 months old I nearly gave up as I was so tired from the night feeds, every two hours most nights, but I'm glad I carried on.

My nipples were really sore after the first week so I used nipple shields for a few days so they had chance to heal. I didn't tell the midwife as she talked like they were the work of the devil.

Well just had the week from hell as we all had d&v, mini first, then me and dd1 and then dh. I was puking holding onto mini while dd1 was puking into the bath beside me and dh was running around cleaning up puke!

HalleLouja · 11/05/2012 10:24

I am not bragging! I had two teeny tiny premmies so I can't have everything. May have blocked out the pain bit.

In other news in 2 weeks time DD is going to be one.

UmBongo · 11/05/2012 10:08

Don't brag Lou it's not nice!

DD is dressed as a little girl for the first time this morning as we have received a couple of bags of cast off pink things this week! She looks very cute! Grin

HalleLouja · 11/05/2012 09:21

FG what day are you on?

Umbongo - I never had sore boobs so can't comment.

Fairygodmother1 · 10/05/2012 19:04

My boobs hurt too!!! Certainly no latching on going on lol!!

OP posts:
UmBongo · 10/05/2012 17:33

Mini Bongo is 2 weeks (and 1.5 hours) old. My boobs hurt (a lot) when she latches on. Shock (not shock but that is among the faces I pull) Tell me this will end soon (please). I have decided that it should have improved by 3 weeks, but I may have made that fact up!

I think eyelashes would be a bit of a pain if you had to plait them.

HalleLouja · 02/05/2012 20:17

PMSL at Jeffrey in training aka mini muffin.

Icedlemonmuffin · 02/05/2012 15:57

Lou ends in n and means 'maiden'.

As for Jeffrey she's getting more stroppy and less funny, but she did ask me why do eyelashes fall out and not keep growing like all your other hair!

Mini muffin is already trading punches with her big sis, the other day dd1 was touching, just touching, minis box (old pampers nappy box that she likes to sit in) when mini grabbed a big clump of dd1s hair and was trying to pull her away from the box. She was screaming and stamping her feet, having a right tantrum, all I could do was laugh.

HalleLouja · 02/05/2012 13:21

I know they won't love each other for ever but its cute for the time being.

Does the I word end in N or A?

Any recent Jeffrey-isms?

Hurrah for some sleep. DD sleeps well on the whole. Poor DS couldn't sleep last night but ended in my bed and fell asleep when DH went to Darlington for work.

Icedlemonmuffin · 02/05/2012 11:14

Umbongo hooray for sleep. Lovely name choice.

We couldn't decide between the name E and mini muffins actual name which begins with an I until the time between her being born and me being put to sleep and going to theatre! Dh didn't want her to be nameless so I was put on the spot a bit. We had decided on a second name and that went with both the names.

I am even more jealous of your labour as the time includes tidying up as well! Mini muffins labour was 16 hrs from waters breaking to waking up in recovery which is better than dd1s of roughly 50 hrs (including c section).

Lou can't believe Z is nearly one that has gone so quick and its dead cute that they love each other so much, but give it a few more years and they will be trading punches rather than kisses.

When mini is eight ( same age as dd1 now) dd1 will be sixteen!! Omg how am I going to cope, dam you body and giving me such a big age gap.

Waves to Fairy hope you are covered in baby germs and you can have a bit of snot, sick, poo and chewed up book as well, Mini will eat anything paper.

UmBongo · 02/05/2012 08:48

Yes

She fed at 1-2am and then slept till 6 Hooray! I know it won't last and the night before had 3 feeds in that time, but hooray for today! I can't believe we have had her for less than a week. Ds was talking last night about showing her to his friends and we went to an after school craft activity last night and he very proudly pushed her from the car to the hall and wouldn't let me! ( I only got slightly nervous on the down hill bit!)

HalleLouja · 01/05/2012 23:10

Ending in y?

UmBongo · 01/05/2012 22:25

No, not that one, 5 letters

Fairygodmother1 · 01/05/2012 20:04

End in ie and has a v? If so yes, very popular & getting more so. My sort of godddaughter has that name.

Thanks for baby germs xxx

OP posts:
UmBongo · 30/04/2012 21:14

Cross post FairyG - you can have all baby germs! name is very popular according to one list I found, E.

UmBongo · 30/04/2012 21:11

Your DD is nearly 1 - cor!

3 hours 10 mins from waters to tidying up. 2hours from start of pains to baby. Retained placenta (again) bleed (again) Registrar had to have a good grovel about to get the placenta out. All done on gas and air! Got a bravery brownie point from the registrar (female, small hands!) she said not many women would let her do that and that I was very close to having to go to theatre to get it sorted.

But not anaemic this time! Hooray! Feel a lot less wobbly as well.

I hope our 2 get along well too, I am trying very hard to make sure that ds doesn't feel pushed out, I have managed to make readibrek and butter bread with one hand today.

Fairygodmother1 · 30/04/2012 21:05

Ooooohhhhhh!!! Congrats Um!!!!!!! Send your baby germs this way please! Grin Baby name???

Lou as he's being an arse you can have a quick shag & get it over with! Snogging me won't help lol

Lemony You have a girl after my own heart - party at 3am!!!

In other news - OPK went positive today, had inklings this weekend so DTD 3 times!!!

OP posts:
HalleLouja · 30/04/2012 18:27

Whoop to baby 5alive. 3 hour labours are the bees knees. I had one of those too.

Any clue on the name?

In other news DD is going to be one in less than a month. Not sure how that happened. She has started talking. Her first word (and proper sign) is for her bro's name. Those 2 luffs each other. Its very cute.

Icedlemonmuffin · 29/04/2012 12:28

Big big congratulations to all of the Umbongo family Grin I am so pleased for you.

I am a bit Envy at your three hour labour but I am so pleased that your little pink bundle is here safe and well.

I hope you are getting some sleep and eating well. Mini muffin decided that 3 am was party time and wanted a chat and a dance, dh is away, so we came downstairs to watch peppa pig and she finally decided to go back to sleep at half four. I'm shattered and the weather is crap.

Lou hope your dh has got over being an arse, buy him a shed and then when he's got one on him at least you have got somewhere to send him.

Fairy sorry about your totally crap rtd, fingers crossed for a 2013 baby (or two) for you. Make sure you are drunk more days than you are sober then the time goes quicker Grin

UmBongo · 29/04/2012 11:00

Sorry your dh is being an arse Lou,

but in other news

DD, 8lb 1oz born 3 hours start to finish on Thursday afternoon, home yesterday

HalleLouja · 26/04/2012 13:24

He's just a general ARSE.
