On maternity leave whoop whoop x

permatannedpumpkin · 08/05/2011 20:37

Woah it is ultra quiet round here! beginning to think you might have run away to a new thread and left me here! Yes yes, that is the sound of small violins you can hear playing :) I'm taking it that you're all busy and working hard etc. I'm trying to keep moving and have teh world's biggest to do list for school - eek.

So what are you all up to? xxx

permatannedpumpkin · 04/05/2011 20:38

:) @ the meeting - yay!

I love the princess with fairy wings idea, that is exactly what was missing from the wedding! :)

How is everyone?

I am okay, still trying not to worry, eeek :) Doing well with the one day at a time plan! Trying not to fall asleep during ppa. Yes really, warm rooms and I don't match ever really!

Icedlemonmuffin · 03/05/2011 20:21

UmBongo well done on your 'meeting' fingers crossed to many more, well just until one of the bloody little buggers does it's job and you win baby bingo.

Mini muffin is teething and has a cold so we all watched the wedding in our pjs. Dd1 was sat in front of the tv from seven in the morning waiting for it to start, she was so excited and now has grand plans about becoming the next commoner to become a princess! Only difference is she wants fairy wings.

UmBongo · 03/05/2011 19:18

Ooh Lou whats your spreadsheet?

We had a good bank holiday weekend, even saw the dh, and the back recovered enough for a "meeting"!

HalleLouja · 02/05/2011 20:47

I am developing a spreadsheet model which my geeky self loves....

permatannedpumpkin · 02/05/2011 20:40

So avoiding marking - I'll do it tomorrow night. :D
How's everyone? Good Bank holiday?
xxx

permatannedpumpkin · 01/05/2011 10:47

Music blaring from the speakers of his parked up corsa?

HalleLouja · 01/05/2011 10:00

Or there is always the park. Dazza apparently likes to hold renewals of vows with a bottle of white lightening thrown in!

Fairygodmother1 · 30/04/2011 20:23

Ooh I agree with beach!

OP posts:
HalleLouja · 30/04/2011 14:59

Beach sounds like a good plan too. Maybe better if you had to take the kids along too and I would never say no to sun.

permatannedpumpkin · 30/04/2011 14:17

Vegas sounds like great fun! I'd probably do it a few years - not the whole big day but maybe me and DH on a beach somewhere tropical, flowers in hair type of affair.

I liked the dress, not the nipples tho ;) Thought Pippa looked lovely, Harry looked a bit Hulkish :)

Fairygodmother1 · 29/04/2011 21:26

See I get why you'd do Vegas! Lou

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 29/04/2011 21:20

Nipple effect!!!

OP posts:
Fairygodmother1 · 29/04/2011 21:19

LOL! Thats me ranting my spelling went out the window cos I typed it & lost it all the first time!!! You may have to excuse any typo's with too many iiiii in it as my keyboard is playing up!!!

Yes the nippilie effect & the fact that it showed she has small boobs didn't compliment her at all!

On TV they were saying there was chemistry between Harry & Pippa!!

OP posts:
HalleLouja · 29/04/2011 21:03

I want to renew my vowels too - a e i o u! If I ever renewed my vows it would be in Vegas baby.

Not obsessed by wedding DH is far more interested in it than me. Lovely dress but not sure if I like the pointed nipple effect.

Next royal wedding Pippa and Harry.

Fairygodmother1 · 29/04/2011 20:53

I'm disappointed that I'm not invited to the evening reception!

Fantastic dress, Pippa was amazng, Harry looked cute ([chmm]), I could actually see what she see's in Wills ([cgrin] did fancy him a bit in my late teens/early 20s & I'm only a year & half older than hiim)!

It has got me thinking about re-newing vowels & can I get your opinions Chavvies?

When did renewing your vowels become Wedding mark 2?

What brings it to the front of my mind is I was watching Will & Kate's wedding (bit obsessed really, but thats's another story) & was thinking that I'd love to re-live my wedding day two years ago - not do it again but as the first time, IYGWIM?

Two of my friends (different circle of friends) are renewing their vowels soon, both been married for over 12 years (young brides) & both re-newing vowels as if it's their actual wedding day again! Booked the church, big wedding dresses, bridesmaids/bestman/attendants different people from the first time (both have their children involved this time but also different adults in attandance), cars, lavish reception, etc.

I just don't get it! Maybe it's because got married recently (as are other friends) & they feel they're missing out on attention, feel out-dated?

What do you think?

OP posts:
UmBongo · 29/04/2011 20:23

Watched the wedding too! Lovverly dress, she looked very stylish - I liked the trees in the abbey! Obviously we should have been invited as we are used to hanging round at the park so they put the trees in for us!

Fairygodmother1 · 28/04/2011 23:39

Thanks Lou!

I know Umb he wanted more tonight but my niece & nephew asked to stay!!!

PTP No I haven't, gave up testing years ago (ok slight exaggeration). I serioiusly have noi symptoims except funny taste in my mouth! lol. I've goit EWCM & read that woin't happen in pg so thats one against, no sore boobs which also says RTD doesn't want to come any time soon! Oh I've started breaking out in spots, which also says that RTD wili be here within the week!!!
My body is great at pretending!!!

Ooh who's watching the wedding? More for the dress & being nosey than anything. I do like a wedding - shame I haven't been to many. My own was prob only my 7th I'd ever been to! Give me half a chance & I can talk till the cows come home about my own!

Pants as well is still in the running xx

UmBongo · 28/04/2011 21:52

Well it won't be me again this month. Day 15, ewcm, swi 1 already achieved, and... dh puts his back out at work. bugger, shite, bollocks.

It is sometimes hard not to take these things personally! I hate to see him going round walking like an old man cos of the pain, but this week is especially bad timing!

Had a lovely cuddle with the baby who arrived around the time of my due date today. Managed that without wanting to blub so I think I am getting somewhere with that!

FairyG, wow, SFF! Cor!

permatannedpumpkin · 28/04/2011 01:14

Thanks guys, you're all actually keeping me sane. The one day at a time thing is good advice - trying to keep a level of calm and not overthink things! :)

FG - have you tested?

Rightio will pop back tomorrow at a more reasonable time! x

Nice to see you too Um :D

Fairygodmother1 · 27/04/2011 22:36

I think it's only me & you left Um!!!!!!! [cblush]

UmBongo · 27/04/2011 22:18

Hip Hip Hooray to PTP [cgrin]

Honestly, I miss a couple of days and look what happens! Good luck and take one day at a time!

Fairygodmother1 · 27/04/2011 19:15
